Not what I expected from a Brewers fayre. 10.99, for unlimited breakfast. The selection was poor, the milk jugs looked beige on the inside and dirty. Radiators had covers loose. Carpets were ingrained dirty. In need of proper maintenance. Certainly not value for money.

Breakfast was a good selection. I went for the continental. The full English was pre-cooked and on a hot plate. But I didn't try it. Looked ok.

The food is disgusting. We only come as it’s somewhere for the kids to play, however the play area was closed so the kids were playing on the park. However this was ruined by the lazy impolite staff who told us we could not sit at the table next to the window overlooking the park (kids are 9 year old btw and park is fenced) clearly because they could not be bothered to clean the area. Avoid the XL blonde waitress at all costs, rude and unwelcoming

We go there every Tuesday same time same table, don't have a pud I am diabetic and they don't cater for diabetics only vegan/vegetarian. Service very good, the carpets are in a shocking state of repair.

Cool atmosphere of an English pub restaurant. Good food. A lot of space. Children's Playground. Beer garden. I recommend.

Great place to go for a meal. There's a carvery and a menu to choose from. Warning, don't order the desserts unless you're starving, they're HUGE but absolutely scrummy

The 2 star is for cleaning. The toilets were horrible and smelly. It makes you wonder how is in the kitchen.

We picked this because it has late check-in and we were both working a full day before travelling to go to a morning funeral nearby the next day. What we weren't told was that both the restaurant and the bar would be closed by 9pm and that there no nearby alternative options. The staff in general were pleasant and helpful except the young woman in the restaurant who was sitting on a table, swinging her legs, chatting-up some male. She just looked round, said VERY loudly and bluntly "We're shut" and just turned away again. It was not a good start, having travelled a long way to be at a very sad event of the death of a 35 year mother with two young children to that sort of blunt dismissal by someone who seemed more worried about her sex life than customers.

Quick tea time meal with partner On entering noticed how filthy carpets were and peas all over the floor not a good first impression. However gave it a chance. Was greeted by a lovely lady don't no her name She took our drinks order and said she would return unfortunately she couldn't as was serving at the bar. Then she was back taking orders again totally run off her feet and clearly place understaffed and in need of a refurbishement not the dedicated staff fault I would like to add . They can only work with what they are left with. That lady needs so recognition of how hard she works.

Food wasn't great very undercooked and went back to kitchen and was still undercooked. We had mixed grills with upgraded steaks and was offered a refund for the kids puddings at a cost of £1.98 despite paying £8 to upgrade to 2 steaks that were practically raw. I was a regular customer here but will not be returning again.

Great value (Premier Inn) breakfast. Kids eat free with adults, so an absolute bargain for the Unlimited Breakfast option. It wasn't the cleanest, food on the floor from the previous day (carrots, etc). Some plates weren't clean. Not enough tongs on the buffet to avoid cross contamination. A few items of dirty cutlery out on tables. Edit 26/5/24: Went for breakfast and turned away as we were told they "didn't have enough food". Not great for a restaurant. Previous breakfasts have been hit and miss. Sometimes nice hash browns, sometimes they are slush. Same with the bacon, sometimes nice sometimes terrible.

Comfortable place to have a late lunch. Food OK, nice enough atmosphere. Service, other than showing us where to sit and standing at the till to take the money, was non existent. We would return.

All four of us enjoyed our meal and the service from Katie was perfect and well mannered. Thanks

Our go-to eatery in the area. Food is reasonably priced, staff lovely and helpful, atmosphere is warm and friendly and children's play areas, both indoor and out keep the little one happy. Recommended.

Only ever nip for a quick drink and allow the kids to play and I don't know why.... Only ever one person on the bar which takes an age to be served. Never the most pleasant of welcomes either. Beer garden not maintained and in general the place is in need of a good refresh.

What a shambles one member of staff behind the bar, well sometimes. Ordered a fillet steak medium, well I have no bloody idea what meat turned up as it was white and tasted of oil, chips where luke warm and soggy but I hadn't eaten all day so had them waited around for over 30 minutes to see if anyone came over to see how we were doing and nothing. Nobody to be seen anywhere. What a waste of money and now I'm still hungry. Stay well away.

No organisation staff not friendly food not brilliant but OK found ants on the table

Visited a couple of times over the last few months as in the area but wouldn’t go out of my way .. the food nice and friendly staff but the toilets are dreadful .. the smell and cleanliness is awful.. definitely not cleaned properly … in need of refurb.. get rid of the old smelly carpet and give them a scrub .. makes me wonder what the kitchen is like 🤢

Staying at Premier Inn. On first night, went for a drink and read at 10pm, but was told in no uncertain terms that the bar was closed. The website clearly states closing time was 11pm. The service wasn't much better for the one evening meal we had, or the two breakfasts, where people were spending a lot of time waiting for the buffet to be stocked up.

Hot food, great service, great meal deals, friendly staff.

Food was really bad chicken was weird hard and rubbery I had on the side with the Thai green curry the water was separated from the sauce and settled under the rice my girls couldn’t eat there meals they got the chicken breast also weird and the other got the cheese burger 60p to add the cheese and the meat seemed slightly raw and smelly I told them to leave and got them a packet of crisps instead also my beer tasted weird, tables and bar sticky floors dirty, staff where nice especially Emily when I complained she offerd me a refund and was very apologetic, sweet and understanding got puddings later on and there weren’t bad at all so in all I wasn’t too disappointed in the end

Staying in Premier Inn and tried to go for a drink. Told (rather rudely) that last orders had been called - at 8.50pm !

The only problem was, that it was very cold inside.

Came for mothers day. Waited over an hour for food even though we booked. Items missing from our meals and had to request next course. No one came out to table to check if we were happy with everything. Seemed like they were running on minimal staff. Shame because the food was good, and the childrens play area looked fantastic.

Absoloutley disguisting service, we booked for 12 for mothers day. Half the food was either wrong, items missing, dirty cutlery. We had to pay twice for the kids to go in play area even though they came out to have dinner then only got 30 mins the second time as it was closing. I mentioned to the waitress about the missing part of the mixed grill and garlic bread to be told" you might as well go cook it yourself if you want your order right before she walked off without correcting our order.

A party of 12 of us came for a meal yesterday and was disappointed with the service and meal and play area . Paid for my grandson to go in play area which is usually 2 hours long after only being in there ten mins our meal came grandson had to come out but by the time he had had his meal time was up and they refused to let him back in. I ordered mixed grill with a well done steak my steak came still blood in it also minus chicken which was supposed to be on plate so for my mixed grill I had / sausages and a very small piece of gammon we ordered my grandson garlic bread for starters other children in our party got 2 pieces he got 1 it caused friction at our table mentioned all this to one of your staff who just laughed and said chef wants sacking you might as well go in and cook your meal yourself but had no intention of bringing the chicken that was missing off my plate or the other piece of garlic bread that was also missing .my niece ordered pasta that came with beans also did my nephews there’s came in bowls with beans at the side my nieces came with no bowl pasta had just been thrown on to the beans it looked disgusting my daughter ordered a burger with out barbecue sauce on the burger came smothered in it so another meal wasted My grandson put money into grabber machine and won the bottle of prime which got stuck when yet again saw a member of staff who said they hadn’t got the key leaving my grandson heart broken that was £8.00 in the play area and grab machine I’d lost without the poor meal alone. What should have been a good Mother’s Day turned out to be a disaster and a rubbish experience hope you can rectify this Thank you Sent from my iPhone

Terrible food, an Ant crawling on table when food arrived. Told staff and management, not bothered. Happens regular they say. Will not return. Disgusting!!

I couldn’t believe the state of the cleanliness the toilets were disgusting with black mould round the edges of the floor which was also sticky the tables sticky and staff attentive when you could find them Come on Brewers fare get a grip

After travelling 5hrs we met family here that was staying in the premier inn for breakfast before the funeral. Breakfast was disgusting. Bacon was grey did not look appealing. Eggs were snotty. Staff on the other hand there was only 1 member of staff and she was lovely could not fault her at all.

As soon we arrived the staff was very friendly so helpful nothing was to much for Katy thank you so much. Also food was excellent . We stayed for 2 days so was here for breakfast also which again was brilliant and Katy served us again with the same helpfulness and politeness. Recommend to come here a fantastic experience.

Booked lunch for a rare family get together and chose mainly for a varied ‘pub grub’ menu, plus my wife is coeliac and they have a specific gluten-free menu. Katy and the team looked after us, they were really friendly and efficient. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the bill was very reasonable. Highly recommended, thanks very much.

Just popped in to try, great value, the cheese and onion pie needs more cheese I could only taste the onion everything else fine 👍

I enjoyed the Sunday roast not big choice meat sounds like it was a busy day. The kids section was a little disappointing both meals the kids pick wasn't available Good choice of drinks on the bar anf friendly and polite staff Overall a good experience

Really friendly staff. Good portions and cooked properly. I think the staff at the Brewers Fayre The Meadows should go and give some training to the staff at the Brewers Fayre the Redwood at Newcastle under Lyme because the difference in quality is unbelievable. And I thought all Brewers Fayre restaurants would be the same. I was wrong

This is our second visit to the Brewers Fayre in Derne Valley and cannot praise the staff enough for a warm and kind welcome. Katie in the Restaurant is an amazing hostess and couldn’t do enough for you. Thanks a million for a lovely weekend and we’ll definitely be staying here again.

2nd time to stay in the Premier Inn and dine in the Brewers Faye. Travelled from Ireland and couldn’t believe Katie(our hostess) remembered us from our trip 15 months previous. Couldn’t say enough good things about Katie, excellent worker, kind, efficient and the Brewers Faye would not be the same without her. Thank you Katie.

We love going there for food especially when it's a special occasion it was my partners birthday so we had a carvery and a pint of lager to celebrate 🍾 the service was outstanding and the atmosphere was great.

Iam so dissatisfied with this place the staff were like zombies ,we had large carvery and the turkey was OK but thats where it all went down hill the roast potatoes were cold under cooked peas hard and cold ,mash was like wet plaster very cold , sauté potatoes hard and luke warm cauliflower cheese was sour and luke warm ,gravey was like water and cold .Iam sure that someone should be checking temperature of food , we waited for a member of staff to come and ask if food was OK to complain but nobody came near ,just a server moaning walked past he had been working long hours we left most of it and walked out luckily we had used a voucher and not paid alot as you can see from some of my other reviews brewers fayre have gone down hill sorry guys this is poor for a big chain or it it just push out customers . Oh and the carpet needs a good clean or change it awfully dirty .

Staff was lovely, was really busy but couldn't do enough for you, verity made lovely conversation would definitely recommend.

I’ve been using this restaurant for quite a while because of work commitments, and I can honestly say that the staff are always helpful and treat you with respect, Robyn, Jess, Connor, Jimmy, Katie, Cat, nothing is too much trouble. Thank you to you all for making my time in South Yorkshire a pleasure.

Terrible Christmas Day. Preordered special menu, ended up having standard carvery. Manager blamed the kitchen staff. Used to visit every month, standards have gone down though. Always seem short of staff. Longer waits for meals. Bonus club points not added any more and online questions ignored. Will not be regular customer any more.

All good, spoit by the disabled toilet being out of order and my wife having difficulty using the ladies. Hope this is fixed soon.

Had a carvery last week .. I had to ask if they could put it in the microwave as it was just warm plus not a lot of choice for vegetables.. I left most of it as it's not the same after being warmed up ...

A nice little play area for kids but not many tables to sit at, it can get very loud...fast.....£4.50 for 90 mins which isn't too bad

Made a complaint 10 days ago still no respond whenever I try ringing the place they never answer

**please read** the softplay has been closed since Christmas and is not advertised anywhere. We saw lots of people arriving for a chilled dinner out with softplay and leaving with with very upset children. Food was disappointing, and doesn't compare with Brewers Fayre in other regions. We weren't given the correct dessert but after waiting so long for it ate it anyway. The bathrooms were revolting. A broken door and lock in the womens, it smelt of urine, had no handwash and none of the bathrooms had been cleaned for a very long time. Do not recommend coming here.

The staff were great the food cooked to order perfectly and the over whole pub quiet and very clean would love to go for a carvery there

I had a lovely smothered chicken and the trimmings in here. My 4 friends had scampi another had prawn cocktail my friend had smothered chicken and another steak. All cooked to perfection. Our waiter connor looked after us and couldn't do enough for us. My wife had a lovely jam rolley Polley. John the gaffer treat us like royalty. Well done Brewers Fayre. And thankyou. Ordered 2 currys and 2 childrens meals. The currys were very watery the rice was cold. The 2 childrens meals were inedible.

Great food and fantastic service. I would highly recommend visiting here for an afternoon lunch or dinner. The breakfast was also nice, and it was very quiet, which was great in my opinion.

Not the usual service, had to choose from a limited menu as they didn't have all the food in stock, disappointed on this visit.

Good pub food, great price and really good service.

Coffee machine broken, no white bread, bin outside over flowing as you walk in with cigarette ends at 10am, toilets dirty, Staff playing tiggy in kitchen, wjen someone came out partner waved someone over to be asked "what's up" he asked for more hot food at 10.20 to be told there won't be anything left it finishes at 10.30, She did come out with some sausage and bacon and said that was all that was left! Certainly won't go again!!!

Toliets are absolutely disgusting toliet paper everywhere smells like urine very very unhygienic was going to have food but the smell perminated shocking bleach is not that expensive nor is floor cleaner

Raw food served disgusting staff members bar staff mouthing off in front of customers wouldn’t get the manger to sort it out did get a refund but wouldn’t recommended this place an would check your food before you eat I don’t know if they changed sheff because last year the food was nice.

It's my son David Oliver that's staying there at minute and so is his kids they told me the food is perfect the staff are very friendly specially Robin she always makes time for everyone my sons daughter thinks she brilliant with the kids andand when you go into the hotel all of the staff are brilliant Adam always goes out of his way to help the rooms are spotless the cleaning staff always ask if you want any clean sheets or anything else the dep manager she's lovely she go out of her way to help if you need anywhere to stay stay here best place to come here. There's a wide selection of food to pick from he would recommend this place to anyone can't find any fault with this place want to say a massive thank you to all the staff for everything they have done the restaurant is perfect the staff in there are amazing always go the extra mile to help jess in the is amazing she always helps and always asks if there is anything she can do as a laugh and joke with the customers and so does Robyn couldn't ask for better staff.

Impromptu Halloween get together with my family. They couldn’t have made us feel more welcome. Connor was an amazing host and so helpful. Food was excellent.

Had breakfast & evening meal here as part of PremierInn deal. While the food was ok the tables were sticky & with old food stuck on them, the floor had last night's litter on it. The plates were cold for breakfast & so was the 'hot' breafast. Poor menu, many options covered in breadcrumbs, pastry, lots of bread & carbohydrates for buffet breakfast. Overpriced & poor quality

Good food, served quickly. Very attentive staff, especially Connor who made sure everything was OK for us.

Came here to celebrate a friends birthday. Service was fantastic. Big thanks to Connor who was brilliant! Super friendly and nothing was too much! Had a great laugh also. Definitely will be back again. Was first time trying and has made a lasting impression!

Booked a table for 8 people 1 whom was in a wheelchair, we were given a table with plenty of room and staff couldn’t do enough, especially Katie who made sure our every need was met, food was nice too

Mixed grill was not nice, table for 10 6 finished 2 eating and 2 peoples food not hear yet, would not recommend

Absolute rubbish ,food took ages, only one serving on the bar and also running up and down doing other things, never nothing on the menu, drinks fridges low on choice ,soft drinks were flat , atmosphere was dead and then to top it all after spending my hard earned money in a dead place i get slapped with a parking fine , never ever will i go in there again ill go to the Bluebell at least its more ambience

Dumbest management I ever seen. This place was literally empty at wednesday 7pm. Maybe 4 tables of 2 persons each. They did not let us in as we didn't make a booking! To empty place! Is that the way to make money? What if i bring £500 to spend? Are you short of staff - just tell about longer waiting time. Dont shut a freaking door!!!

It was RUBISH there was hairs in my dinner table was sticky and service was horrible… I wonder if they can even clean pots! Terrible food terrible service. Wont even give us money back for when we asked for it!

What a joke this place is no one around to serve you at the bar. After 15mins after trying to find someone a young woman can out no sorrys for waiting, face as miserable as sin, and then we had to find cash to pay as the card machine wasn't working. There were 3 members of staff stood at the bar shouting, laughing and swearing with disregard for customers. Not a nice place to sit and relax!!

Used to enjoy it here but on our last visit it looks like it needs a good clean even the table was all sticky the food was ok

Had to wait for table of choice no table staff around to clear them off, had to ask bar staff,poppadoms were like damp leather no staff around asking if everything is ok, went to ask for a fresh poppadom chef and table staff leaning across counter chatting, this place has gone well down hill.

Food of a really poor quality. Mayonaise & Ketchup served in little bowls to hide fact its cheap branded rubbish. Frozen, tasteless food.

Upon entering the play area with our 2 children the play area rules were explained. You aren't allowed to escort your children in the bigger play area, our son is happy to run around, although our daughter when going to new play areas needs time to adjust. When we show our daughter around the play area she will then happily run around and play we weren't allowed. The food arrived quite quick which was good, however the food wasn't great, me and my partner had a carvery and it wasn't very nice. The cola in the drinks machine didn't taste right and looked off colour. We mentioned to a staff member they adjusted this, but when mentioned it still didn't taste right his response was well I adjusted it so I can't do anything else. When leaving the same staff member was asked by a customer if he could be served as there was no one behind the bar, and the staff members response was I don't work behind the bar you'll have to wait. The staff member didn't seek a bar staff member to serve, and was wiping down an area that didn't really need wiping and could have waited while he found someone to serve the customer.

Food was lovely! Great value for money 💰 staff was so friendly especially Jane, she was great with our very chatty 2 year old. Defiantly be returning & recommend to others.
