This restaurant is superb. I had the chicken & mushroom pie with mash, seasonal greens and a side dish of glazed carrots and it was excellent. My sister inlaw's meal choice of fish, chips and mushy peas was also excellent, as was my brother in laws confit of duck. Likewise, the apple & blackberry crumble with custard was superb. The service was faultless. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal last night and will definitely be coming back again. Many thanks and well done.

Stopped by the Mason's Arms for a quick pint on the way home from a history society talk. Lovely fire burning in the grate, smashing pint of Butcombe bitter served by Matt. Ended up staying for three and enjoying the singing and playing from the local folk club(?) in the next door room.

Traditionsl pub. Friendly with good beer.

Lovely pub itself but staff not very welcoming or friendly, this was noticed by all in the group. Shall not be rushing back.

It was a nice location with a beer garden but not very welcoming and a bit of a mess out back which is a shame, so only stayed for 1 drink.

Traditional pub with no thrills but good service, ales and atmosphere. Roaring log fire was nice!

Matt is a fantastic landlord who is full of character with a lovely old fashioned pub with loads of open fireplaces and interesting characters in the pub who you can have a good conversation with!!!

Awful and unwelcoming. We were visiting the area but felt really not wanted. Clearly a pub for the locals. Could be wonderful with some cash spent and a good chef.

The best pub in North Leigh! Love Mattie and all the locals. They are awesome and make you feel so welcome, it's like coming home when you visit.

Lovely village pub, with a homely feel. Lots of pub games aunt Sally, a skittle alley, pool table etc. Drink prices good also. Would go again.

We were very happy when we stopped in for drinks and to watch the fifa semifinal at this traditional pub. Everybody was really nice and hospitable. Proprietor was a great guy. They had a special barbeque that afternoon. Great homemade cooking and really great price.

Great pub, friendly atmosphere, great location, kid friendly. Good selection of drinks. Fire 24/7 in the winter. What more could you ask for?

A traditional friendly pub. They normally have one Ale on plenty of larger, Whiskey and lots of other drinks.
