Five of us enjoyed a lovely meal here last night. Excellent food, great service, and pleasant atmosphere. And great value.

I took my mum here for a late lunch and sat in the outside area. The staff were friendly and helpful. I'm coeliac and they were careful to make sure my food was safe to eat. I had the risotto primavera which was delicious, will definitely be going back. Lovely atmosphere 😊

Without a doubt the Breakfast Skillet which I had in the afternoon was the most tasty brekky that I've had anywhere.👍 Because of the restaurant's popularity there's a bit of a cacophony at peak times.

I had one of the best paella outside of Spain. Perfect. Plus the lamb special was fab.

Cracking pint and the Haloumi fries are fantastic.

Popped in for a cuppa with my aunt and the guy who served us was absolutely lovely. I have a lot of allergies and he was really helpful.

Found this on a last minute drive and wow wow wow so glad we popped in. It was busy but quick service and friendly, really good prices and great quality of food. Would highly recommend and we will definitely come back!!

We went there for breakfast on Sunday. It has a nice seating area both inside and outside. We loved their food and will definitely be going there again. We ordered French Toast, Eggs Benedict, Coffee and Hot Chocolate. They have different options too, if you have any dietary restrictions. Their service was fast and quantity was good too. Would definitely recommend to try Bacon as it was really delicious!

Very nice local bistro. Food was excellent.

My wife and I tried this place for lunch. Good food, though they always ask if you have a reservation even though lunchtime is never full of patrons. Need to make mention of the young dark haired waiter who is very attentive and friendly. He always seems to be doing five things at once but never forgets to make sure you have everything. Recommended.

Enjoyed a superb lunch again in the Marlborough. Food was all excellent: no surprise there. Feeling of satisfaction a given! But as l wonder why we like the Marlborough so much!?!? Two qualities may perhaps explain: absolute consistency of fresh food and staff out front are in three words: the very best!

Food was excellent hot ,tastey and well presented . Staff were very freindly aswell. Overall a great experience would recommend 👌

Lunch for my friend's birthday. Service was very slow (not really attentive) waited quite a while for anyone to provide menus or even water. Muscles sauce was very salty, the burger was overcooked, dry, no sauce on burger. Would not recommend for the price

We're seated quickly, but not offered drinks nor given a menu given straight away. Waited a few minutes for a menu and still not offered drinks. Waitress eventually came to take order and managed to order drinks at same time. Friend and I both ordered the soup which was fantastic. Friend ordered the cheeseburger which she said was dry and unappetising. I ordered moules frites with the beer and bacon sauce. Was then advised that the sauce wasn't available but would ask the chef if could make it. Eventually got the mussels with beer and bacon. Sauce way too salty, although mussels were great themselves. Waiter took away 2 of the 4 plates and we'd paid and left before the other plates were cleared. Weren't even asked how our food was. Overall, not the best dining experience.

Went for brunch the baked eggs with Cumberland sausage in a peppercorn sauce was outstanding and the female who served us was really friendly and helpful thanks

Was disappointed when we realised we were not offered the Market Monday menu! It was a Monday and we were having two courses! Very disappointed. Also when we checked our bill they had charged us extra for drinks. Not impressed.

This is a great restaurant. A lot of outside seating if the weather permits. A great cocktail and spritz menu.

I had lamb and partner had steak fries.Lamb was lovely but a little sparse and veg not to my taste.

Had a quick mid week dinner and the lamb was superb, the best lamb I have had in years & much more occasion food than I expected.

I attended a private party. The menu was great with three choices for starter and mains, food was delicious. The staff were excellent, very attentive without being overly in your face. I can’t wait to return. I heard their Sunday roast was outstanding.

Food was OK my starter was over cooked scallop and was very small the duck main was short of potatoes the duck was perfect. Over all small portion and high price. Wine was fine.

Been meaning to come here when I've been back in Glasgow for so long. And it didn't disappoint. Great friendly service despite it being busy. Food was really good too, nice varied menu with some old classics and some great twists. Definitely be back.

We were a group of around 10 people and we were seated on time with great service. Shout out to Daniel who made sure that our experience was above expectations with food, wine and some awesome cocktail recommendations 🍸 food was fantastic, and I have to highlight the dessert that was to die for. I don't remember it's name now but will include a photo for you to show your server for reference. Will definitely return.

It’s great having this place in the local area. We have been for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and Sunday lunch. The food is excellent and the staff are great.

Loved the home-made burger. Freshly squeezed lime for my ginger beer and lime was a real treat.

Not sure what’s happened here perhaps a change of chef? The Sunday roast was mediocre at best. I ordered the fish and chips. The fish was nice but the chips had a strange taste. Ordered a aperol spritz which was flat. Real pity as it started off so well. Better places in the area to eat

Best fry up in Glasgow, and I’ll die on that hill happily - lovely service too. Would highly recommend!

This place was great when it was The Wee Lochan. We didn't realise The Marlborough was now in its place until we went to book. We decided to see what it was like and we were not disappointed. Very tasty food, some done a bit differently, and friendly staff. Similar feel to The Wee Lochan I thought which was nice and what we were looking for.

The pan seared chicken breast (pictured) was one of the best chicken dishes I’ve had in the last few years, and so unique! Service was great and nice atmosphere. A great place to go for an occasion!

Good food and service, no complaints will return steaks were excellent

Disappointing meal. Not as flavoursome as expected and lack of attentiveness by waiting staff hence low score. Vegetarian sweet potato dish was spicy but lacked flavour and was a bit undercooked. I left most of this dish and no questions were asked by staff.

Good, quick food and a really friendly waitress :) Sticky toffee pudding was very nice!

We have been going to this restaurant a few times we did had nice service and staff I did give 5 stars to start with but deleted after a waiter who just started his shift about 6pm on sat 11th June he asked us if the meals where OK we said it was alright he said just alright and we said yes after that reply and didn't like the attitude that we received from him also the last time we came in we did give a good tips both times so we won't be back the other staff where Pleasant to talk to but that waiter just put us off coming back... also the table that we sat could see the staff empty the left over meals into a food bin I think that should done privately in the kitchen!!

We stopped for latte and cakes service was amazing and really enjoyed our choice and was a beautiful sunny day so sat outside and was like being abroad we will def be back and have recommended the Marlborough to friends and family ❤

Lovely vegan options as standard on the menu plus specials on the market menu and vegan beer! Lovely atmosphere that coped with 2 toddlers and the staff were so helpful and attentive. Looking forward to going back!

Love this friendly neighbourhood restaurant

I really enjoyed my meal here, the food was very good, the service was good, ambiance was nice. I think my only complaint is it's a little expensive. I should add that they have a good selection of rums. So many places it's just Bacardi or Captain Morgan, but here they have three ages of Flor De Caña, as well as Diplomático. I am quite impressed.

The experience here was hit and miss. The cocktails were nice (if a bit gin oriented) but by and large me and my partner often had a great time heading here after work on a half day.

Went for brunch which was delicious. Both had sourdough with avocado then added toppings. I had poached eggs, salmon and asparagus-good sized portion. Partner had the chorizo, black pudding, chilli and onions. Cosy decor, friendly service. Will definitely return.

Our first visit since this restaurant opened. Delicious dishes in a very welcoming setting! Four very satisfied diners.

The staff are lovely and really attentive. Great for a quick drink outside and the monkfish and salmon dishes we had inside last month were exceptional. Nice place to have on your doorstep!

Beautiful steak. Liked the fact you could see into kitchen, means place must be spotless. Deco and lighting subtle and not detracting from food. Cleaning of tables done quickly so dining area also spotless clean. Will definitely be back

A great wee local eaterie that opened at the tail end of last year (?) Sat outside to eat a light lunch in the sunshine. Our waiter was really lovely and helpful especially as my friend - on medication - was wanting something simple and couldn't find anything on the menu. She asked for, and was made, some scrambled eggs. She said they were some of the best she has ever eaten . I had the most delicious chicken Won ton soup. The broth was amazing! The staff went out of their way. I would definitely go back for a second visit and a full meal.

We visited The Marlborough as a party of three. We dined outside as it was a rare sunny day. We ordered two burgers and one lamb from the mains section. The burgers were good; sadly the same couldn't be said for the lamb dish. From the perceived effort my friend had to put in to chew it, I'd bet a healthy Labrador would have had it's work cut out to get through it. Service was good and the toilet which I used was spotless. Unfortunately one of the toilets had a broken lock and signage was up stating so. These are very easy things to fix and should be put right immediately in a busy restaurant. Whenever a restaurant receives a negative review. The managers/owners are quick to point out that if the problem was brought to their attention at the time, something could have been done. Sadly, the issue of the aforementioned lamb was brought to the attention of two separate servers. Both of which gave the obligatory apology, but offered no solution. There was no offer of a replacement, a different choice or even the cost of the coffees removed from the bill as way of an apology. All in all, average food in an average setting at a premium price.

Friendly staff. Portions good size. Not the most expensive but not cheep. Definitely a place for a special celebration.

First time I went and enjoyed the food and staff were friendly. However a camera team began filming customers without asking permission. When I asked a staff member why they were filming she said they were a BBC camera team but she didn't know why they were filming either! It's basic manners to ask permission first and when the staff themselves didn't know the reason for the filming or where/when it would be broadcast it just shows a lack of respect for customer privacy.

Went for lunch with family other day, food was lovely. However we were asked to not vape outside as it wasn't allowed There were no signs up advising this and if there was of course the vapers at the table would not of done this. Put a bit of a negative on the lunch

Don't usually write reviews but just want to let the vegans of Broomhill know that the vegan options (particularly the burger and banana blossom fish) here are class. Staff are also great

Amazing food, staff and cocktails.

Perfection. The best coffee ever, wonderful clam chowder and such lovely, thoughtful service. Second visit was even better. Wonderful to be able to order GF vegan food straight from the main menu. The Beetroot Carpaccio was bliss.

Myself and a group of friends ate brunch 'alfresco'. The service was good, the food tasty and well received by all. The price was pretty average for the leafy West End of Glasgow. I would eat there again.

Lovely meal Welcoming and helpful staff

Had the pleasure of trying the Marlborough for lunch today. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We ordered the baked eggs with black pudding (delicious) and I had Moules Marinière which were some of the best I've tasted. The sauce was full of flavour and the portion size excellent. The Lemon Posset for dessert was perfectly sharp in flavour balanced by the yummy crumbly shortbread. This will be a new favourite on Glasgow visits for years to come!

Really delightful first visit which we’ll repeat again for sure. Classic menu with some excellent twists. Quality and food presentation second to none. Super find in the west end of glasgow. Worth a visit for lunch or dinner.

The food here was lovely. In my opinion the brunch menu could be slightly bigger but don't let that take away from the place, staff were efficient and helpful too!

I booked a table for brunch here with my partner the other week and the place had a good vibe. The outside area is quite big and when I've been past on nice days to get a coffee ( before everything reopened ) it would be a great sun spot to wait outside for my order. We had a comfy table inside and the staff was so kind and friendly. We were served by a very enthusiastic and friendly young lady with blonde hair. I asked for her name as I was so pleased with her service. I think she said it was Emily. Our time there was even more enjoyable thanks to her lovely manner. They were kind with specific requests we had with food. The coffee was great and it is currently my favourite Almond Latte in the West End. Thanks Marlborough 😁

Very much enjoyed our meal at the Marlborough, our first. Food was delicious and staff very attentive. Just one small downside, although we were inside, was a bit chilly so warmer clothes next time.
