Wonderful pub in Bury. Friendly and welcoming staff. Wide selection of beers, ales and drinks. Great music too. Love the beer mat ceiling. Good location near the famous market, Mill Gate shopping centre and transport interchange (bus and tram). Highly recommend it.

Absolute Gem tucked near Bury Interchange. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable on the beers available. Martins playlist is full of the best tunes. Definitely worth a visit.

Everything at Marketside tavern Buryis certainly done very well indeed. Breweries filling the lines are hand-selected for the quality of what they produce, with barrels brought in from nearby, far and wide. So that means a great choice of local gems and more exotic pints to wet your whistle. There’s also an excellent range of bottles available, which can be carried out and taken home to enjoy at a later time. Three packs are priced at £11, while six will set you back £20. A high standard is guaranteed. While the drinks themselves should be enough to get anyone down, one of the best things about The Marketside Tavern is its tendency to make offers you can’t refuse. This includes the familiar Pie & Pint combination, which includes house lager and “supreme” German pilsner, and there’s also a weekly round down on all beers. From 5pm until close on Mondays and Tuesdays whatever you order will be reduced to the nearest pound, offering better value for money. All that aside, those behind the bar and in the office have invited a regular record fair and host ongoing open mic nights, adding to the appeal.

Lively bar serving 4 real ales and 6 craft ales. Plenty of chairs given its size.

Small micro brewery in back side of Bury, with not much outlook. Good choice of ales. Not much seating due to size but cannot be helped. Recommend a visit.

Great ales and lagers, options to suit most tastes. Occasionally busy or crowded due to limited seating and standing, however it is a friendly place and the staff are attentive. Be prepared to queue and wait for the toilet facility. Everywhere is clean.

Saturday 8th July 2023 We visited this micropub This pub has a quiet atmosphere to it, possibly because of its size But today, it's 4 handpumped ales on were of grand ability with good staff serving I had the Citra Storm it was A GRAND ALE The pub is very intricately set out, and it served its beers to the public via staff bringing your beer to you

Beautiful place and wonderful staff, but if you know good food, this place is extremely disappointing. Extortionate for the quality and completely inauthentic. Microwaved, bland frozen broccoli. Stale fried calamari. Ravioli and pizza were just okay, could find food like that in cheap town locations. Pastries/desserts were nice! But also extremely overpriced. Many of the staff/possibly the chefs seemed like teenagers? Hoping we just went on a bad day but seems like overhyped visually aesthetic viral insta place with bad food - sold to people who are easily influenced/aren't foodies. Love the interior and the vision though!!!! Just was kinda hoping for the passion behind the food that Sparrows has as a "hidden gem" kinda place. Paid £96 for 2 mains, 2 starters + olives (£5?!), 2 drinks, 1 dessert and 2 pastries.
