This place is an absolute joke! The kitchen manager has no idea what he's doing and lying to residents about when they can eat - 1:45pm today we were refused lunch saying they stopped at 2 and only do light bites after but they wouldn't even do that and said sandwiches only! Bear in mind this restaurant is for the elderly that need a nice hot meal - what place stops serving hot food at 1:45 even though all menus were still on table - manager didn't care

Would be a lovely place if the people that worked here actually put in the effort. False advertisement. Says it’s open till 5pm online but can’t order any food after 2pm? When questioned about it the “boss” just brushes it off by saying it’s “changing” but no one that lives there even knows this? He seems to not care at all about his customers. This place used to be nice but it has just got worse and worse. Something needs to change, this is where people live and they can’t even order a decent meal after 2pm. Terrible!

Cafe and bar open to the public. Parking free for 20 mins or minimum £1 for 1hr. Clean and pleasant, airy atmosphere and very good value - just beware of menu restrictions, which aren't detailed on the menu or signposted anywhere. Breakfast / Brunch only served until 12 and they do a selection of Light Bites and Lunches, but only serve Soups and (Meat) Roasts on Sundays. Bread automatically coated in butter or margarine, so remember to ask if you don't want it. Signs also indicate that their cooking methods might be unsuitable for severe allergy sufferers due to mixed use of equipment. Otherwise very good and would recommend. Also, forgot to mention, it is highly accessible for wheelchair or mobility vehicle users, due to it being located in Priory View. There are also a number of disabled loos

Ordered lunch here and had to wait for almost an hour Before it finally came. Bread was stale and chips weren’t very hot. Only one waiter was at front of house at a very busy time. We will definitely give this one a miss !

Miniscule portions of poor quality food. Staff we're clearly untrained and very flustered when the restaurant became busy. One to avoid !

First visit but a nice bistro within a care home/retirement venue. Very modern and airy . Food prices very reasonable and they do a very good latte.

Enjoyed my lunch visit with my Nan and Mum. Had a light lunch of jacket potato. Staff friendly and the restaurant is really light with big windows. Posting pics of the menu as I couldn’t find any myself online so hope it helps people.

As quite a new venue we thought we would give it a try for afternoon tea to celebrate the birthday of my wife as it was within walking distance of home, we were not disappointed the venue itself is large with natural light and views of the garden, the sandwiches cakes and scones were well presented with enough for the two of us and as much coffee or tea as you can drink, the service was excellent and the price was very reasonable, it was a shame we were the only two after the residents left, we will certainly visit again maybe for lunch.

I had a very good lunch here on my lunch break. Great prices - even affordable in the Jan drag!! The customer service was very good too, everyone made us feel very welcome and not uncomfortable when at the table.

Had a very enjoyable value for money lunch. Restaurant is bright with great views into the garden. I had the two course deal - prawn cocktail followed by ham, egg and chips. Well presented and very tasty. Will be going back soon - and booking for their Xmas lunch.

I often visit the Manuka Tree Bistro for lunch and well as the occasional evening meal their range of options is great as well as the price! Time taken to get my food is sometimes longer than I’d like but on the whole a great eatery in a beautiful setting.

The design and layout of this restaurant is really lovely - don't be worried to go into the building as it is accessible to the public. My lunch was excellent - good value and well prepared/presented. Definitely worth a visit!

Visited for lunch one Friday with my sister and our babies. Lovely decor and a really nice setting. Food was lovely and really good value for money. Minor criticism in that staff could have been a bit more welcoming on arrival (no-one greeted us on arrival and we had to ask for a table) and the specials menu isn't very clear, otherwise it would be 5 star. Overall though the staff were friendly and polite and we had a great lunch. We will definitely visit again.

Visited on Sunday as a last minute decision and very glad it ended up in the grove lock!! Well presented restaurant with extremely friendly staff. I ordered a duo of roasts for my Sunday dinner and can easily say it was one of the best I’ve had! Thanks again il definitely be back.

Enjoyed a walk around the woodland with our dog. Popped in for a light snack lunch. Run by volunteers, a friendly community atmosphere, welcoming everyone including dogs. Simple menu with inviting cakes. Good coffee and proper pot of tea. Lovely outlook across the orchard and quiet.
