Sehr nettes und aufmerksames Personal, Essen sehr lecker und ausreichende Portionen, schönes Ambiente. Kostet zwar auch dementsprechend viel aber wenn man einen schönen Abend mit gutem Essen verbringen möchte dann ist es sehr zum empfehlen

Several of us dined here tonight and I must say this meal was fantastic!! My husband and I are visiting relatives from the USA . They took us here for a special dinner and it certainly was! Started off in the lounge with a cocktail and some nibbles. Then moved to the dining area and had a beautiful table for 6. The ambience is top notch. Our service was outstanding. Meal excellent! I had the soup of the day which was tomato and it was probably the best soup I’ve ever had! Then I ordered the turkey dinner with oatmeal stuffing . Wow just delicious! We all enjoyed the evening and couldn’t stop talking about the meal. Hats off to the chef and servers for making this night more special than we could have imagined!! We love Elgin and will most definitely be back to visit this fine establishment!!!! Thank you

You will see I posted a review on The Mezzo some time ago which wasn't great. Recently we have eaten in The Mansfield Dinning Room restaurant on a number of occasions and each time it has been excellent. The Mansfield is possibly perceived as expensive but I think at the moment for quality and service, way beyond the opposition it represents really good value. Everything about the place exudes quality and it seems the kitchen can match the surroundings with consistently quality fayre. Nice staff who are obviously trained properly and offer just the right mix of professionalism and friendly service

from the first steps in the door, to the saying goodbye at the end of the night, the Staff here couldn't do more for you. Always a friendly & professional greeting when we arrive, and looked after throughout the evening. You can tell the owners & staff care about the place, always ensure their customers are looked after, and remembering their usual orders! Always know which cocktail I'm going to order at the end of the night haha And the food, absolutely delicious, cannot fault it! The menu is filled with large choice from local suppliers, which is rare to see Around here! and have always catered for any dietaries The food is fine dining, but without the scary price tag, all prices reasonable especially with the increase of bills lately! Definitely get your monies worth. Looking forward to my next visit!

The setting is lovely, went here to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, waiting staff were lovely but everything took a long time, from ordering drinks took at least 10-15mins for them to arrive, but it’s a comfortable setting so really didn’t mind waiting, starters were fine and all eating the meat dishes said their meal was lovely. The vegetarian/vegan option looks to have been an after thought and was so bland it was inedible but to be fair to the restaurant they removed this from the bill, however I would say that if someone had asked how the meal was during the meal I could have sent it back and ordered the other option on the menu, this is usually what happens in other restaurants. As I said the restaurant was lovely and I’d recommend this to anyone except those following a vegetarian or vegan diet. The menu isn’t even labelled to show what is vegan/vegetarian/gluten free etc which in this day and age was somewhat surprising.

We recently celebrated a wedding anniversary at the Mansefield Hotel in the main restaurant. Things could not have been better. The food itself was excellent, beautifully cooked and presented and with generous portions: even the prawn and lobster cocktail came with a very fair-sized portion of lobster rather than a token piece. But what also made the evening even better was the service. The waitresses had obviously been trained to the highest professional standards, but had been encouraged to remain their natural selves and thus displayed friendliness and kindness. This mixture of the two is rare and unbeatable.

Nice service, polite staff, lovely decor. Starters didn't come at same time but not that big of a deal. Food served piping hot and obviously freshly cooked. Some nearby tables had order confusion and things arriving late but all in all just teething problems. Will be back soon.

Restaurant is clean and modern but was empty on a saturday night. Perhaps a sign of the times but didn't bode well. Menu is not cheap ( £7 starters; £17 mains & £6 desserts) and perhaps this is why restaurant was empty. Starter of duck salad and salmon fillet main were both pleasant well cooked dishes but lacked that little bit extra you might expect considering the fine dining prices. The dessert of strawberry frangipan tart was big let down. It reminded me of school jam tart as this was basically what it was - hot strawberry jam wrapped in pastry with ice cream. It was so sickly sweet I could only finish two mouthfuls. Service was however friendly and efficient.
