The Manor House Inn Restaurant in Bradford

Went there at 4pm for the early bird menu that finished at 5pm.on arrival we were shown to a table and given our drinks then completely ignored until 5 mins after five at which point she said early bird has now finished and it the evening menu at 3 times the cost I complain that we had waited 30 mins for her to take our order she then had the oudacity to say i was lying then wanted £12 for 2 glasses of cheap wine .complete ripoff AVOID

Food isn’t freshly prepared for most dishes. Not been impressed in the last 3 times I’ve been. It’s cheap enough at least but last time it was clearly brought in frozen, and the time before was a pathetic portion and half of it cold. Service is pretty slow and not interested. Food definitely feels like an afterthought which is a shame as it used to be half decent.

Popped in on a weekday for tea. Both myself and my hubby had the steak and mushroom stroganoff. We didn’t like how it was served. The steak and mushroom sauce was in a dish alongside the smallest portion of rice and a bread roll (which we thought was very random). Banoffee pie was tasteless and sticky toffee pudding just ok. Always a lovely atmosphere and the waitress was lovely. Shame about our tea!

Food was ok. Decor and atmosphere ok. Service not good despite being the only people eating. We had to attract the servers attention to order food and then order drinks and order dessertat the end all the while the servers avoided coming to the restaurant side of the pub. Disappointing

Decided to try as we havent been to the Manor in years and the reviews on site were good. Very disappointed and won't be rushing back in a hurry. I tried the pulled pork burger and unless I'd read the menu wrong it came minus the burger. I did question this but was told that's how it came. That said I still ate it as I'd been waiting all day to try this place. The bun the pork came in was no bigger than a coaster and looked as flat as a pancake. The meal came with a dozen frozen chips, 2 onion rings and a ramekin of coleslaw that was so small I really wouldn't have bothered. The meal was very underwhelming and at £14.95 was certainly not value for money. I would have complained whilst I was there but the other meal of steak pie and chips, hand cut chips for this one, was enjoyed by my guest and that's the reason for the 3 stars. Not a great experience and probably the reason the pub was empty on a Friday tea time.

Lovely pub unfortunately staff are not up to standard. We were going to order food for 4, but the toothless barmaid who got our drinks order wrong had extremely bad personal hygiene & there was no way we were going to order food from her

Always past finally booked a table.Greeted by a lovely ginger/white cat outside the door nice touch Manor House,ordered gammon wow nice chunk with egg and pineapple very good service all washed down nice pint of John Smith's mmm

Well worth visiting, I have been twice now on a Sunday and both times the food and service has been great. Highly recommend.

Worst night our ever Was. Supposed to be 16 of us but due to a bereavement only 12 arrived. When we mentioned this the chef came out shouting they said 16 were coming. Making a big fuss. We were then put in the conservatory with a noisy family of 30. It was so noisy I had head ache we just wanted a nice meal out. I went out side gif a bit of quiet kids out there fighting with sticks climbing in trees no parent to be seen, the food came 1 starter missing, we asked where it is to be told the chef is busy cooking for these 30, I said well we’ve eaten our starter surely the missing one should be priority. It came 15 mins later. Main food arrived wasn’t amazing wasn’t even offered any condiments like sauces. One had fish and chips we asked where’s the mushy peas. There over there at the top end of the table so I reached over to pass them over. I’ve been a few times and the food was nice. The chips / fries were crap like what you get at the bottom of a bag all the crappy bits. Must have changed chef’s . Change back please. A female from our group went to complain and was rudely. Spoken to by a man. The bingo caller . My son and my self went to complain and was met by the same man who was totally different with us. He said if we hadn’t have put you in with the party of 30 there would have been no room for you. I replied I have rather you say there’s no room and we could have gone sone where else. The manger was no help at all. Just an horrendous night and we won’t be going again.

Had an absolutely wonderful evening last night with the family saying a fond farewell to our cousin and wife who are returning to Australia- The staff were so accommodating and really helpful considering our large party of over 30. The food came out on time and the order was pretty much precise for the amount of services they were dealing with - the kids had a wonderful time playing in the garden and WERE watched by their parents - The only down side to the evening was having to share the conservatory with another party- had we have had the room to ourselves nobody would have been offended by children playing outside in the play area- Thanks again to the wonderful management and staff xx

Went for a date night up at Manor (was child free... yeahhh!) Me & my partners food was amazing he got the manor burger which never fails to impress & I got the chicken tikka tenders 😋 (was supposed to be a starter) I asked the woman that served us if I could have the chicken tikka on a pitta or wrap and have it as a meal with chips instead. She was lovely, she explained she needed to ask the chef and came back saying yes! (Made my day) Food was absolutely spot on. Went to play pool afterwards in the other room and the atmosphere was amazing even made other people want to play along with us too.. to say we were only supposed to have 1 game we had about 10 cause we were having so much fun!! Over all food was 10/10 like always thanks to the chef sonya and the rest that work behind the kitchen. Waitress (didn't catch her name) was amazing and polite made us feel welcome. & the bar staff guy James (jimbob) was friendly & polite, we all had a laugh! Definitely recommend to anyone to go & visit even if its for a few drinks. Thanks for a great night manor staff we will definitely be back 🥰

Good value for the money and a free pud if you had a sunday roast.

As always the customer service was top notch. We had the Sunday dinner and the food was real quality. We had the range of meats - all excellent. This is a great local eatery. We would not return every month if it was anything but the best local Sunday dinner.

Bit of a mixed bag tonight, which makes a review difficult to write. However, I'll try and show the two sides. So first off, the food. Overall it was lovely! We all ate from the light bite menu, and really enjoyed most of what we had. The garlic mushroom starters were absolutely amazing, and I could have easily had another two portions of that (just being greedy!). Then the mains, again, couldn't fault them - and a shout out to the chips that were absolutely melt in the mouth and seasoned before they came to the table. Two of the three desserts were of a similar standard, with no complaints from either the person with the sticky toffee pudding, or the chocolate cake. This would have been a five star meal based solely on the food except the third dessert, the apple crumble, had a really bad and stale taste and smell. The sort you get when something has been in the freezer too long, or hasn't been covered properly. One spoonful and that was it, it couldn't be eaten. However, that was one dish out of 8. So pleased don't let that put you off, as we will definitely be going back because when it was good it was really good! Staff.... The lady who served us was lovely and couldn't have been nicer. The receipt says it was Andrea, though I don't know if that's accurate, but she deserves some recognition for her work tonight. She was helpful, smiling, accomodating, apologetic - after the dodgy dessert - and thoroughly professional. It was just a shame that everyone else couldn't take a leaf from her book, especially given how busy the place was as it would have made things easier all round if they had been. Speaking of busy, it really was busy. And loud. There was a birthday party in, and there was a football match on the TV that had some very.... Enthusiastic.... fans watching. The screams and cheers each time their team did something they approved of, wasn't something I enjoyed. However the place itself was really clean and tidy, and you could see the staff were working hard to keep on top of everything. So as I said, a mixed bag tonight. But somewhere I'll definitely revisit and try again and you should too!

A great local pub which does lovely food and a decent selection of drinks. Big beer garden and friendly clientele.

The food I got last Sunday was reformed beef, If it wasn't reformed it was well rubbery. The mash potato was watery at the bottom & lacked any kind of flavour it was more like potato puree. The Yorkshire pudding I had did actually seem to have fly eggs on it, From my experience I now know there is no proper chefs at The Manor it must be just minimum wage people cooking from the fridge & freezer with all bought in food a bit like how McDonald's & Subway operate, Even the local wetherspoons I would say is better & definitely cheaper. Plz on all accounts do not waste or part with any of your money in this dive of a depressing atmosphere!!!

Absolutely great lunch today! My grandads 75th birthday and we got the light bite menu - is very good value for money. 3 courses for £12.95 and some great choices and definitely fills you up. Lots of good drink options also / and the dessert were like the same size of a standard dessert. Chips and pie definitely homemade ! Absolutely enjoyed every piece and would say this is 10000% value for money.

Good value for money. Went here because one of our party was in a wheelchair and I read it was wheelchair accessible. Good access through out with disabled toilets. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

We have been before & really enjoyed it .We had a Sunday roast ,the red cabbage that came with the veg was delicious & my daughter had chicken parmigiano. She said it was delicious .We also enjoyed warm crackling from the bar snacks really scrumptious Unfortunately Our first drinks order ,got spilt down my granddaughters cardigan luckily she was n t wearing it at the time .Is Guinness as good for your hair as beer .Really friendly staff .

Overall, it was a very nice place to eat and drink.

Staff very unsociable (manger)Sat with coats on eating our meal .Garlic mushroom just mushroom sliced in half and a white sauce poured over .main meal alright gammon just warm peas well cold and hard .Think twice about comming .To top the evening off one off the staff started cleaning a cupboard .

Unfortunately not a great experience, the food was well below standard, after attempting to eat a jacket potato with what was supposed to be tuna mayo I gave up and wished I had sent it back, we were with a medium sized group and only three people thought there meal was ok, I am sorry but we will not be returning.

Been here, a few times now, but this time was absolutely disappointed with everything from Service to food I thought it would be busy with it being Easter weekend but there were only 3 tables when we arrived . The table was booked knowing we needed a high chair which we asked for when we arrived after waiting 15 minutes I went to get the highchair myself It took so long for someone to come take our order. I thought the process had changed and we needed to go to the bar. Bearing in mind, it wasn’t busy at all One of our party went to the bar and asked how the beef is served on the dinner. If it was pink or not, the response he got was I don’t know I have never eaten it. 🫣 All the meat across the six adults wasn’t great quality at all very tough , hard to cut with a knife The chicken actually smelt off on the hunters chicken The staff really didn’t seem to care or show any urgency to the service across the restaurant. The young girl just said oh I will tell the chef (no sorry) then came back and just said do you want another ( baring in mind we had been sat for 20 mins waiting for plates to be cleared ) no thank you

I attended on the 9th March for a Mothers Day booking as a party of six. The food was well presented but nothing special and my meal was bland and a very small portion for the cost. At the conclusion of our meal we were not offered any deserts which all of us wanted so I had to request a desert menu which was then provided. After selecting our chosen deserts we patiently waited and then waited some more for the waitress, any waitress to take our orders but that didn’t happen so we gave up, paid the bill and left. If the restaurant had been exceptionally busy it might have been understandable why we weren’t approached in a timely manner but that wasn’t the case, the restaurant was virtually empty. So the conclusion is six customers left dissatisfied with the experience at this restaurant and the business missed an opportunity to make further profits from their paying customers. This is the second occasion now where the service has fallen below par, the previous occasion I found bits of plastic in my food which was brought to the attention of a staff member at the time. A restaurant succeeds or fails on its quality of food, service, atmosphere and reviews, please teach your staff to be attentive to the customers.

No atmosphere more staff than customers Had the garlic mushrooms and although the sauce was beautiful the mushrooms were well past their best and should have been thrown away the pie was hard and uneatable even after drowning it in gravy the pastry remained hard. The children’s meal although large is all deep fried and a little greasy. The concept of 2 courses for a set amount is good if the food was eatable such a shame but unfortunately think the whole place is getting shabby on a positive note the staff are very attentive but not hard to do when they out number the customers 2:1

Fish wasn’t cooked and the batter was soggy. Took 40minutes for dinner order to be taken. Then a further 20 minutes wait. 25 wait for table to be cleared and desert order taken, and another wait for deserts one of them ice-cream. Doesn’t take that long to prepare. Our group has f eight will not be going in there again. After speaking to the manager about our complaints, she wasn’t interested at all. Definitely not good for business.

Visited on a wet Friday lunchtime after visiting the Bradford Industrial Museum.The welcome was warm and the service great.Decided to go with sandwiches and we were impressed with the quality,quantity and presentation of the food.Service swift and prompt.Definitely will return if in the area.

Had a lovely lunch here with my dad during week. Plenty of parking, disabled access lovely layout inside with a nice extension for restaurant: friendly and courteous waitress. Big selection on menu: I tried the Indian flavoured king prawns on a potato/veg cake spiced with a spicy Indian dip: very tasty. Then had the Chicken Gyros: flatbread was lovely and soft; big portions all round. Can highly recommend this pub and there’s a pleasant garden outside if you want to sit out.

Not been here for a long long time so we thought we'd give it a go Really glad we did the service and food was excellent Arrived slightly earlier for our booking but no probs shown to table drinks ordered and menus handed out After much deliberation me and my partner went for the gyros It was really tasty and took me back to holidays in Greece apart from it chucking it down outside My sister went for the Yorkshire pud wrap and loved it After a short while we opted for deserts two mixed fruit crumble and the biggest sticky toffee pud I've seen all agreed the puds were great All in all from the service to the food it was a truly enjoyable visit We can't wait to be back and won't leave it as long this time

Excellent menu options that all arrived hot and together for a full family of 6. Really lovely food; especially the perfectly done Yorkshire puddings with plenty of gravy & thick cut chips! Had a lovely anniversary meal out at The Manor tonight, I had the rump steak, cooked to perfection with a portion of onion rings, and hubby enjoyed his chicken balti pie. We were looked after well by Raf, Molly and Megan 😀 always come here...

Lovely food, good pub grub menu and very friendly staff. Very good table service. I can recommend the fish and chips. Dogs are allowed in the back room.

Approximately 20 of us visited one Monday night . Food preordered. Booked for 6.30 pm Starters arrived at approx 7pm . Prawn cocktail not great sauce had an unusual taste. Mains arrive at various times . I had finished mine before friends opposite arrived at...

Great food and very relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff. But please, please put the veggie enchiladas on the main menu (not just specials) as easily the best meal I’ve had here.

3 adults had a lovely meal, food was fantastic and staff were great. Wherever we go my mum has fish and chips and judges a place on the quality, she always raves about her meal here Thank you Ellie and Holly for an enjoyable afternoon.

Went with three friend for lunch and a few drinks. The drinks were very reasonable priced as was the food. Everything we all ordered was of top quality and the service and friendliness of the staff could not be faulted. I will definitely return again...

We ordered a chicken burger for our grandson but when it arrived, it was a burger bread roll with 2 pieces of chicken inside. This is not a burger and unfortunately he didn't enjoy it at all which spoilt our experience of the lunch meal...

Steak pie was delicious. I had to order more veg, though, as it only came with chips & peas. Also found the background music slightly too loud & had to shout a bit. Service was OK. Only two staff & the bartender. It wasn't overly busy for a Sunday until a party of 20 came. Then staff were rushed off their feet.

Whether you are visiting for lunch or dinner or anytime in between the food and service is impeccable.

Banging, best restaurant Sunday lunch in a long time

This was our first visit - I was quite taken with the place. The food was good, the service was good (although there was a little confusion with the order but it was quickly sorted out). It's quite a popular pub, and I think we'll be paying another visit.

Went here for my birthday lunch yesterday and as usual the food was absolutely delicious. My husband had belly pork and I had the lasagne with a side serving of hand cut chips. The portion sizes are amazing and I couldn't do my lasgne justice....

Visited with quite a large group from Eccleshill Road Runners - the service was faultless, the food was excellent - lovely atmosphere and a warm welcome! We’ll be back!
