The Mandarin in North Lanarkshire

Meals at the Mandarin never disappoint and our Christmas dinner was no exception. The menu was varied and the food beautifully cooked, as always. The staff were excellent; friendly, efficient and put no pressure on us to finish before their next bookings. They even made time to take photos for any group that asked. The restaurant was busy but had a relaxed feel to it, with the individual booths providing an intimate setting for our family dinner. Highly recommended

The food is really outstanding and we have never had a bad meal in the 2 years we have been coming to the Mandarin. We couldn't recommend this place more... First class in every way.

Had lunch , food lovely . Waitress so bad mannered . Asked if we wanted anymore drinks , ordered a bottle of wine that was not cheap . 5 minutes came and very abruptly told us they were closing !!! Stood beside us until we felt so uncomfortable we got up and left !! Shocking !! Shame as food is nice .

Have visited on numerous occasions and have always had a good meal. Service is good too.

I didn't have particularly high hopes but there were a few people in and I plonked myself down with a Singha and went for the salt and chilli ribs to start, followed by the sweet and sour chicken for main. The ribs were great and the chicken came with loads of veg and was very nicely done, great rice too.

My grandson and I enjoy going to this restaurant on a fairly regular basis. We really enjoy the food

This is mine and my partners favourite place right now, if you looking for a really good beef chow mein then your in luck. My partner loves the chow mein. Probably the best salt and chilli prawns I've tried aswell, also love the sweet and sour sauce. Portion sizes are massive, staff are very warming and attentive. Highly recommend a visit to the mandarin

Lovely Chinese restaurant located in Motherwell centre. Excellent express lunch menu; 2 courses for £10.95. Food is extremely good quality and service is exceptional. They really take care of you and also provide you enough space you don’t feel rushed. Great service, can’t fault it.

Oh dear, what a disappointment! Satay sauce watery a two chicken skewers served in the sauce, what is that about? Chips were dry and over cooked. Chicken curry was bland and all other kinds of tasteless. Mandarin you have to do better than this, won't be back, it was like setting fire to a twenty quid note

We have been going to this establishment for a very long time now and always find the food and staff to be high quality and never have had any problems as for the last review it sounds fake and not true

I would have put no stars if I could. I had a severevallergic reaction, because they gave me the wrong order. Overcharged my friend who paid because I had to go to hospital. She tried to complain and they blocked her number. They then tried to take money from her account. The female server threatened me and was abusive. I also know that th hygiene levels are very poor. Avoid. With your life.

AVOID,AVoid, avoid, avoid. I have no more words to say. I nearly contacted authorities. I felt threatened by the female who served me. We asked for water so my friend could take needed medication and she refused. I have a stammer and she ridiculed me. Discraceful. This is the original Karens diner

I've been using the Mandarin restaurant for many years - mainly for takeaways but I've sat in too - and have always had great meals. We've just finished eating a takeout and it was - as usual - excellent. We had a selection of king prawn and chicken dishes and the whole family scoffed the lot! Will of course be back.

Ordered a takeaway they forgot half my order phoned in and was then told I would need to pay again to get the delivery driver back out the receptionist was rude and clearly doesn’t know how to do her job correctly waste of time and money it’s a shame because they used to be quite good do not recommend

Spare ribs... Small half inch pieces Soup.... Extremely small portion Fried rice.... Stuck together.. Mushy No Coke zero.... No ginger beer as stated on menu... Satay sauce disgusting. Terrible experience.... Staff were friendly. Only positive

First visit in a long time and food was okay.

The only thing I would complain about is the price of soft drinks, other than that everything was good.

Food was cold soup was bland chicken back bean sauce to salty wont be back.l should have asked for a refund tbh but because the staff were pleasant i didnt.Just won't be back.

The food tasted OK but later that night took unwell with really pains on my stomach and one of the friends I was with was exactly the same we both had eaten chicken .

Nice friendly staff. Had a family meal here, cannot fault it in any way. Food was amazing and we weren't rushed out after finishing our meal. Even offered to put what was left in a tub so we could take it with us.

Asked to order appetisers whilst we browsed the menu and were rudely told no, and that we must place our entire order at the same time. Food was average. Spare ribs bizarrely cut into small chunks, spring rolls very poor and chicken in main courses was tough. Portion sizes were good but food way overpriced. Overall bang average food & unfriendly staff probably explains why this once excellent restaurant was almost empty on a Friday night.

Had lunch yesterday, was absolutely shocking. Starter was 1 spare rib cut into cubes, main beef curry had 2 bits of beef rest curry sauce. Ordered chips to share. Amount of chips allowed 3 of us to have about 6 chips each. Won't be back and DON'T recommend

3 of us went for lunch, 2 great starters but the spare ribs were awful, barely any meat on them. Mains and desert all good, service fine so overall 4 stars.

Good food and pleasant service.

Just ordered a combination starter and a beef curry. Absolutely inedible!! A lumpy curry sauce and absolutely zero flavour to it, the dog doesn't even want it. The combination starter had undercooked chicken and extremely oily satay sauce which was also completely flavourless. £30 down the drain. Will never order from here again and I suggest you don't either.

Had a nice steak and a sweet , staff very helpful price ok, soft drinks a bit expensive £2.50,but overall I would go back.

Had adress blocked due to the amount of times we have had to call in about food missing from our order even though we had complained about it multiple times a shame as we liked the food but staff were rude

I highly recommend this restaurant. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful, the prices are very reasonable and the food is on a whole other level from any Chinese takeaway or buffet that I have been to.
