Been before and food was pretty good, last night was very poor, food was average at best and both lasagnes came with free human hair, service was pretty poor, certainly wouldn’t rush back I’d say 3 stars was generous

The Malt House is a pub, providing meals, includimg desai. This was our second visit. The food is very nice. The Indian food is tasty and not over the top. My wife enjoyed her gammon immensely. The service is second to none. Nothing is too much trouble.

On arrival for an early evening midweek dinner booking, it was very quiet and, having read recent varying reviews, we were uncertain what to expect. However we were impressed with the level of service given by the young staff. Whilst it isn't yet a polished performance, they are polite and eager to please. We chose starters, main course and then dessert. The food was well presented, arrived in a timely fashion and it was all delicious. Perhaps we were fortunate, but there really was nothing to fault for the price. It's also convenient for a stop off being just a few minutes drive from the M42. We would definitely visit again.

Disappointing pork belly. Saturday evening we ordered 2x pork belly - clearly cooked and reheated, basically inedible and microwaved. Both of us left the meat yet no comment from waiting staff who are still very inexperienced and not trained in customer service. No point in complaining as they struggle to serve professionally so problem solving will I’m sure not be their strong point. Disappointing as the place has been very good in the past and we have been monthly regulars as local, however more specific training to both front of house and kitchen is clearly needed before the busy summer push before the place goes downhill
