It is a very nice place to eat a frying pan for a plate, an unusual way to get a meal but very nice.

I was there for my lunch today I booked for 12 noon I had a cheese toastie and a scone and a pot of tea it was really good especially the scones are best I have eaten really good service

So this was a late booking for a party of 3 adults. Parking is pretty restricted with around 20 or so spaces serving a few businesses. On arrival we were seated quickly but then nothing for about 20 minutes till our order was taken. Fairly simple order of Coffee, juices, large breakfast and a couple of baked potatoes. The restaurant was busy and hearing yourself speak was an effort. Coupled with children playing with a piano at the side of you...I just don't see why it's even there. When the food eventually arrived it looked ok, nothing startling but the quality was fairly decent. The breakfast is served in a frying pan!!!, again, why?. I want my food on a plate..not a frying pan that's sliding all over the table as you try to cut your food. The baked potatoes and breakfast were luke warm at best. If it wasn't for the wait we already had, the food would have went straight back. I think this business has got certain bits right but you need to get the basics right first. Serve the food hot..serve the food on plates, cut out the fancy gimics and please get rid of that piano.

My wife booked a table here for their first Scottish tapas night, and I must say it was absolutely outstanding. The quality of the food was amazing. Three mains for £20—I thought you got real good value for money. I highly recommend the Balmoral Bravis. The staff were so friendly, and I'll certainly be returning for more.

Newly refurbished, looks lovely. Good menu. Sessions breakfast now served in a frying pan! Friendly service. The only thing I'd say is that even though there was just another couple in apart from us, it was a long wait for food!

Visited today and when we arrived realised that when my friend booked she had forgotten to say it was for afternoon tea which should be ordered 48 hours in advance. The staff were amazing and within minutes had produced a fantastic afternoon tea. Thank you so much ladies for such excellent customer service 👏

Check your bill we got over charge for an extra coffee, we then got cake to bring home and they had gave us the wrong cakes? Foods good and the cafe is lovely just check what your getting and being charged. £32 for two soups and a sandwich, ONE coffee and two slices of cake to take away. Unfortunately we didn't notice till we were home that we had been over charged and given the wrong cakes 😢 normally really good.

Absolutely amazing pancakes, really good hot chocolate, great bacon, attentive and cheerful servers, definitely will come back!

Came in for breakfast and there was a few tables in already. We waited an hour for food and about twenty minutes for one hot drink and 3 cold drinks. By the time we received our food all our drinks were completely finished. We were made aware of a small wait but an hour is definitely not a small wait. Food came and the pancakes were warm at best. The lorne sausage was brick hard unable to eat. Extremely disappointed as I had been the previous year and had a great experience but I found staff to be rude and not helpful and when standing at the till to pay two girls were too busy standing chatting to notice me waiting to pay. Really disappointed.

Visited early on a Saturday. All day breakfast was nice and decent coffee. Service level from the waitress was a little brusque and could be friendlier but overall good.

Great. Attentive and kind service. Food carefully prepared and good quality. Filter coffee was lovely. Parking right outside.

Was looking forward to breakfast with family. Didn't book a table as we thought early doors would be okay. There were approx 6 people seated at 3 tables and the remainder were empty. There were no "reserved" notices on any of the empty tables. I think it was the owner who greeted us. We were offered a choice of 2 tables by the door, facing out the window. She said they were for "walk-ins" I was taken aback. This is a small cafe in Glenrothes not a boutique restaurant! Walk-ins! I'm still amused by this and her precious attitude. The food was okay. Nothing exceptional and reasonably priced. The coffee was awful. The cake was dry. I wouldn't recommend.

Not impressed with food. My soup was black in colour and tasted awful. I bought 2 cookies for 2 small children and paid over£5 for them they were binned too. Could have used them to build a brick wall. Not impressed!

We checked the web site which said it was open till 4 so we got my grandaughter organised and headed over there at ten to 3, got the baby out the car etc and went to go on but the door was blocked by chairs & someone shouted at us we’re shut! No sorry we were quiet and closed early sorry for the inconvenience just we’re shut & very bluntly too and the owner was there also. We were pretty disappointed and won’t be back, it’s not easy getting a baby out the house so we went to Greggs and spent out hard earned cash there.

First time visitor. I Had a cheese and pickle toastie and a cappuccino. It was lovely and I would recommend this place. The staff are lovely and food is top notch. I am a passer by and googles bakers Glenrothes and this was definitely a good find.

Thought we would try it out first time. Arrived at 1235 and 2 tables were taken, the rest of the place was empty and only 1 table had a person's name on it. Turned us away and said we needed to book! Went into town to the bridge and they were full to brim but found us a table, made us welcome and the food was lush! You will lose custom if u keep sending customers away....

A small cafe on the main road with free parking. I wasn't terribly impressed though, the drinks took ages to come & the food was okay but nothing brilliant. The service wasn't great either, I lost count of the amount of staff who walked past our empty plates. I was actually surprised too as it was a quiet morning & the menu looked good. Also, a cafe having no gluten free cake seems a bit odd

Used to be a regular but not been for a year. Menu smaller and quality poorer. Not good value. Staff seemed unorganized, service slow and not friendly, two items arrived were wrong ( brown not white bread and wrong filling) and response was not responsive. No salad with toastie/sandwich/baked potato and served instead with with salted crisps! at 7 quid for even basic cheese toastie I would expect at least a small side salad. Americano so so. No diet coke, no sparkling water! Needless to say will not be back

Absoloute gem of a place if your passing the area must goto coffee stop, extremely welcoming staff with attention to detail in everyway warm welcome from the 2 girls serving, had a mocha maybe 2 lol and looking at menu went for something new for me macaroni cheese toastie, which was amazing huge portions and perfectly made outstanding food and cakes yum yum, all in all amazing visit and definitely a return visit on the cards maybe try the afternoon tea that looked amazing l, querky place great atmosphere and staff were so friendly.

Worst ever experience cold latte smoked bacon not told about beforehand no beans with. Breakfast did eventually get them alas they were stone cold couldn’t eat them breakfast was served in a frying pan wit paper all over bottom to soak up grease of putting could not put beans on plate because of but that did not matter as couldn’t eat them because they were cold very dissapointed yours james

Lovely Saturday branch, great find on the way. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. Service and atmosphere are exceptional. If we only live closer, but worth a visit 😊

Friendly local café with nice choice of breakfast and coffees at the time we dropped in. Lots of reservations on a Saturday morning but the staff found space for us.

Have tried to visit twice both times fully booked, tried to phone & book in advance a further twice, wait 5 mins of ringing for them to immediately hang up without as much as a word.

Only pop in with the wee one as we was passing, I got an tea and wee one had an ice cream. Was clean and bright. What we had was ok. Staff seem nice enough only reason I'm not given 5 star was I only had two items but 3 was put in til, one was only 30p but I didn't know what that was for.... Maybe an service charge or card charge but would of been nice to be told what it was for. 💁 We will come back to get breakfast, seems an nice place.

Inpromptu visit with no booking but we were made to feel welcome and sortred out with a nice table for two. Clean and airy bakery with some quirky decor. The staff were friendly, informative and polite. Food was lovely and nicely presented ( warm plates, always a plus). Next time we are definately having an afternoon tea, looked amazing. Visited with friends and was very pleasantly surprised ( in a good way) with this place. First impressions were good, the decor is lovely. Food and service was first class, our waitress was very cheerful and patient with us as we took a while to decide what we would have from their wide selection on their menu. The waitress looked like she enjoyed her job as so often nowadays the staff looked bored but definitely not in this little cafe. A visit to the toilet is a must, I’ve never seen a toilet like it, the decor is amazing and whoever decorated this has a beautiful 😻 imagination , we will definitely be back and would highly recommend it to everyone

I've been here a few times now to meet friends and always enjoy lunch which is also very good value. The food is freshly made, and I can confirm that the soup, sandwiches and baked potatoes are absolutely delicious and plentiful. I always take cakes home for later as they are also amazing. The decor is very cheerful as are the staff! I would highly recommend but best to book in case you don't get a table.

Had a lovely breakfast here! We had a full cooked which comes with tea and toast. Quality of ingredients was top class I would definitely recommend. The decor is quirky and the staff friendly. The cakes - are huge! We couldn’t eat anymore after breakfast but left with a slab of malteser cake for later!

Ordered a cake and went to pick it up today, lovely cake but the young girl that was working was extremely rude and her customer service skills left alot to be desired. My 8 year old was with me and she was horrified at the young girls cheek as we left. Will not be back....

Really good wee place. Situated in a ok location too. Staff are friendly and place always seems decently busy also clean. The wait for the food is worth it as it's really good. I had the Scotty dog and it was amazing. Definitely gonna come back here.

I was highly impressed with how much care the server took when I let her know I'm coeliac. Double checking what was gluten free, even bringing the salad dressing bottle so I could read its ingredients. The food was freshly cooked & delicious.
