Brilliant place, staffed by volunteers for a local charity . We sat outside in a charming courtyard, and ordered ploughman's lunches. Excellent! Chunky roll of ham, first class Cheddar, beautifully presented, generous salad, fresh roll and butter. Coffee excellent too. Cannot recommend highly enough.

We have holidayed in Great Malvern for a few years now and always visit the cafe a few times during our stay. The service is great, everyone is friendly and the food and coffee is spot on. Only slight disappointment is my favourite lunch was the awesome toasties they used to do, especially the tuna melt. No longer on the menu I'm afraid but the quiche was a great substitute

I came in with my young children for a hot chocolate while we were in town and the staff were amazing. The attention to detail and friendliness and compassion was natural and great to see. The lady who served us asked if I wanted some cold milk added to the children's hot chocolates so they could drink it sooner, she provided some colouring for the childrent to do while they waited and came back to chat to the children about their colouring pages and drinks. We felt truely welcome and relaxed here. Thank you and we will definately be coming back again soon.

This cafe is at the edge of the priory churchyard and adjacent to the tourist information centre. There are public loos across the yard. We arrived just as they were about to close (around 2 p.m.) but were still able to get toasted sandwiches for lunch. They took a little while to arrive but came with a fairly generous garnish. The cafe is attached to a Christian bookshop but we were not preached at. There is a pleasant outdoor seating area and the cafe seems to be dog friendly.

Went for lunch with friends , I ordered jacket potato with salad . When it arrived I noticed a hair across the salad , I showed the waitress and she took it away . She then returned with another one which had another hair all across the salad ! When I told her she said there is no hair on that !! Disgusted with her attitude I said , look I will hold it up for you ! It was about 3 “ long and grey! My party of 4 all saw this , as. Did the people on the other table ! She took away , another lady came back with the plate in hand and said do I want another or a refund ? I really could not fancy eating anything else from there so asked for a refund, she then very rudely said there is no hair on it ! Disgusted I said excuse me ! I even held it up to show the lady and everyone saw it !! I know occasionally maybe this happens but they were so rude , even when I went to get my refund not one person apologised! Shocking way to behave ! Never will I go again or ever recommend this to anyone ! Staff so rude . I know some are volunteers but really , if you don’t want to be there , get out your bad for trade ! And this is meant to be Christian run !!

We always used to go here on visits to Malvern for brunch. But recently service hasn't been great! In a half empty cafe on a Saturday morning, with 3 or 4 staff just standing around and no evidence of any cooking being sone, you are informed that it could be an hour wait for food! In the past we have ordered food and waited, and waited and waited, only to be told our order hasn't been given to the kitchen, and now there are several people infront of us! Staff who serve are always nice and friendly, just a pity that something is obviously seriously wrong here and someone needs to take a firm management hand to knock it into shape!

Delicious hand-made food by actual people in the kitchen. My husband reckons he's a connoisseur of cheese on toast and the LW's is 'epic'. I branched out and ordered a cheese & tuna toastie....ummmm yum...the cheese was on top (perfectly golden) and inside as well, served with a little salad to make you feel you're being healthy. Friendly staff, great value. Thanks v much : )

Pleasant staff & quick service. However, while sitting waiting for food I noticed that the staff had a plate of cake on the side which they were all taking pieces from to eat in between serving customers. Each of them sucking/licking their fingers after, then proceeding to carry cups & plates to people without washing their hands. Also, 2 ladies having licked their fingers uncovered a large chocolate cake, one picked up a doily & put in on the plate while the other lady picked up the whole cake with her bare hands. Hygiene surely should be something staff are taught before serving customers. I also saw one of the chefs eat something after plating up food & licking her fingers. No hand washing by any staff! Food was nice but coffee barely warm & bitter.

It's often difficult to find a free table for lunch at this popular café in the centre of Malvern, but the usually fairly elder clientèle don't mind you sharing their table. The menu is somewhat biased towards sandwiches and toasties, but there are baked potatoes, omelettes and brunch for the more hungry person. Quiches and salads are available for those who like that sort of thing. The food is invariably well-cooked, and the coffee is pleasant. Serving is by a competent team of volunteers. This was the first time we have been served by an 84 year old waitress but Sheila (AKA Mrs Overall) was delightful as were the rest of the mostly (no offence intended) near geriatric staff. The cosiest little tea room/bookshop with a choice of homemade meals - omelettes, quiches, cakes etc., or just somewhere to rest weary feet and enjoy a cuppa either on your own or with friends. Prices are most reasonable and families with young children are made welcome. The ‘mostly volunteer’ staff are particularly friendly and the atmosphere and environment is noticeably warm and welcoming. The tables are attractively laid and the service is quick and attentive. I make it my business to eat there every single visit to Malvern and recently enjoyed a cup of tea and buttered toasted tea cake. The Café is usually brisk at peak times but can also be quiet. In fine weather, there is a courtyard offering peaceful relaxation to eat outside. The adjacent toilets are clean and hygienic. The bookshop offers a wide variety of mostly Christian reading and a variety of items reflecting the Christian spirit.Opening times for Café/ bookshop are Monday to Saturday 10am-4.45pm.

We come to Malvern often and always enjoy the tea and friendly service at the Lyttelton Well. The food is fresh and tasty and served with a smile. This time we had lovely toasties before a matinee at the theatre. We're looking forward to our next visit already.

We have been here a couple of times before and are looking forward to going back tommorrow for lunch. The food is grwat, no frills. it is very reasonably priced and excellent value. There is a lovely atmosphere in the cafe and this I think is mainly due to the lovely friendly staff that are there, it seems as volunteers too. Have a brilliant bit of ginger and lemon cake the last time I went, wow.. Looking forward to going again..

Called in briefly for morning coffee. Very central. Clean. Appears to be run by volunteers, so the atmosphere is uncommercial. Seems popular with the locals. Had a good cup of coffee.

We had a lovely lunch here, good quality food and generous sized portions. The staff were very attentive, helping us set up and find space for a high chair. They were very welcoming, especially towards our baby! A wonderful, friendly atmosphere and a great choice for lunch!

Myself and a friend visited The Bridge for the Sunday Carvery. It was excellent and superb value for money! We had the carvery and a pudding which was also excellent.

Four of us had a light lunch here yesterday. We had hoped to sit outside by the lake but it was cold so we were in the bistro which is lovely. We all ordered sandwiches which were delicious and presented beautifully with a small selection of dressed salad leaves . We all had banana sponge pudding with toffee sauce and ice cream - a bit like sticky toffee pudding but even better. The staff were immaculately turned out, and genuinely welcoming and helpful. This is such a lovely place and we will definitely be back before long.

We visited Saturday evening and booked a pod, it was fantastic toasty warm ,nice linen and just really cozy, the service and food were outstanding, thank you for looking after us as it can’t be easy when you have weddings on as well but you would never have known, even got to see fireworks! Couldn’t have been better, see you again soon.

Staff are extremely friendly and always up for a great laugh. Portion sizes are very large, great value for money. Wide range of drinks to suit either a quiet night out or even a messy one. Amazing atmosphere all around be it in the restaurant or the bar. I discovered this little gem on accident, it was a very happy accident and I will be returning without a doubt. Thanks Garry and team

Limited menu, although some specials were on the board.; good choice of desserts. A very busy pub with people constantly pushing past from the garden and caravan site. Did not like the fact that the cat sits and walks on top of the tables and that there is a notice implying that the cat is not too friendly. Manager is a little brush, which was off putting and we have not eaten there since.
