A great selection of ales and lagers. Largest I've seen in town. Price £5.50 was really good for a cracking pint of Harvey's. Highly recommended.

Probably the best pub in the West End, always busy and has a great atmosphere. If you are a group of 4 or more best book ahead or you may end up drinking from plastic cups outside. The Lyric has a good selection of Cask and Craft beers.

Nice little pub with real ale on tap (CAMRA card accepted). As it's more and more difficult to find an independent pub that isn't just serving commonplace fizz, this place very nearly qualifies as a national treasure. (There is a limited food menu, but that's not why people come here, IMHO.)

We had a very nice lunch on St. Patrick's Day. Attentive and fast service. Excellent value for money, the dishes were delicious.

Lovely bar. We had an autistic teenager with us and the bar staff were fantastic with him. Especially they female member who told us she also is on the spectrum. She is an amazing credit to this bar. Such a lovely team. Will definitely be back.

Charismatic little pub with an excellent range of beers and ales. I was delighted to see Harvey's Sussex Best on tap! It's a fairly small pub, so it does get crowded and busy rather quickly. The bar staff were excellent; nice and friendly. The downstairs area accessing the toilets was disgusting, I'm afraid. Needs a deep clean and / or ripping out and starting again. The smell was awful. Years of dirt and grime on the stairs and the gents had visible leaks/water damage. Great place to meet for a drink and enjoy a few different beers, I'll definitely be back.

I had an absolutely brilliant time here—the staff are a delight, especially the Kiwi and the Irish lad from Cork. Both were respectful to everyone while still bringing the ‘craic’ in full force! The owner should give himself a pat on the back for assembling such a top-notch team. And oh my god—the haggis scotch egg was to die for. A total must-try. This was hands down the best evening I’ve had in a London pub in decades. A top-tier spot that’s worth going out of your way for. I used to be a French House regular, but as long as this crew is behind the bar, the craic at The Lyric is even better!

Could do with turning the music down.

I came to this charming old pub with my wife today at lunchtime for Tuesday Ribs. Delicious! Meaty, not swimming in sauce, but enough to give them the right tang. With chips and coleslaw included in the price...and a drink Terrific value. The two young people serving (it wasn't busy) were so good. Friendly, looking happy to work here. Bread and pudding dessert was definitely made in the kitchen and not brought in frozen from elsewhere. Historic ! (As Michael Winner used to say) To make our lunch even more enjoyable, they were playing 70s funk and soul (not very loudly...I asked them to turn it up) Really looking forward to trying Steak Thursday...bet it's great

We had a lovely pre-theatre meal here last week, served by Hannah, who did a fantastic job. Food, atmosphere and real ale were all of an excellent standard. Recommended.

I was out with some friends and had our last drink of the night at the Lyric. I bought a round of drinks and we stood out the front. When I’d finished my drink it was time for us to leave and I decided to go to the toilet before heading home. A few steps away from the toilet I was stopped and told by a member of staff I couldn’t go to the toilet as they’d closed, despite there still being lots of people finishing drinks inside. I said I’d been drinking at the pub and just wanted to quickly use the toilet before leaving. She quickly got irate and pulled out her phone showing the time 00:00 and said “no, we’re closed”. If you want to be respected and welcomed there are plenty of other options in the area.

Superb selection of beer, craft beer, cider and spirits. Bar folk are helpful and quick. Well recommended. Would do well to find a spare table so be prepared to stand.

Cracking pub with a HUGE selection of beers - plenty for everyone. Great rotation of beers too, so it never feels stale.

Very small but very good value pub with a superb range of craft beers and ales. CAMRA discount accepted here. The value was a real surprise given how central it is. Getting change from £20 for 3 beers in central London rarely happens. Keep it up, folks! 👍🍻

Paramos aquí en nuestra última noche en Londres. Sirven comida arriba. Hay una buena opción en el menú y decidimos optar por la opción de 5 platos pequeños por £ 30 y elegimos hummus y pan pitta, pollo con mantequilla, picaduras de coliflor y papas fritas de halloumi. Todos estaban deliciosos. Sin duda volveremos a visitar aquí de nuevo cuando estemos en Londres.

We had dinner after a long city tour - two beers and dishes. As for the fish & chips - a bit too little flavor in the fish, although delicate - and the veggie tart, salad with olives and fries, it was fantastic. The waiter was very nice and helpful, I deduct one star for the women's toilet - extremely cramped and unpleasant.

A small pub close to the theatre where we saw Moulin Rouge. The barman was nice and friendly. Plenty of beer to choose from.

Quintessential London pub experience with fantastic beers on tap (in fact the largest range of craft beers in the area)

Nice traditional pub, tucked away behind the west end chaos. Good selection of real ale, which is great to see, and although it was busy it wasn't too loud. The staff were friendly and there's a very convivial atmosphere.

Wow. For an Untappd verified venue, this was remarkably disappointing. Cask beers left to rot in lines for almost a week, and nobody clearly checking the quality. Do not recommend at all, sadly.

A lovely Sunday roast on a chilly London day

Went for here for the work Christmas lunch. Brussels sprouts were hard as golf balls, carrots raw, gravy from bistro and cold plates. Other than that fine. Beer is still good but food isnt these days.

Best sandwich I’ve had in a pub. Generous filling, fresh bread, excellent ingredients. All washed down with a great pint of Oakham Citra for a very reasonable price. Thank you. Smashing pub.

Very central location. We ate upstairs. I came across the burger Monday offer by chance (1 burger + beer for £16.95), which is very affordable compared to the average. Really good burger and excellent beer as an accompaniment. Highly recommended. Perhaps the cleanliness of the tables could be improved, but still the waiters were friendly

Hidden gem for beers; it’s excellent. Don’t tell anyone…

Excellent and plentiful dishes, served ok and prices in line. The upstairs part where you have dinner is a bit claustrophobic. The tables are very close and especially with the fireplace on the room is too hot.

Unfortunately we had an awful experience at this pub. It is a lovely place, however, one of the female staff members was incredibly rude to us for no apparent reason. My Italian friend who does not speak much English tried to order a drink and there was some miscommunication when it came to paying. As such, she got our whole group of people kicked out of the establishment. I am extremely disappointed with what started as a nice experience. It was entirely the fault of the customer service.

We’ve visited the lyric for the second night now, Connor and Corben were really accommodating and recommend new drinks we’d never have tried unless for them. The service was outstanding and we felt really lucky to have them as our hosts thanks guys for making our trip memorable we look forward to our return.

Decent food, priced very reasonably. Well kept beer & cider. The staff, however was exceptional! As a person with a mobility impairment sometimes, to my sorrow, I need a bit of TLC. Thanks, Harriet, for giving me that!

The best pub in Soho by a considerable margin. Manages to have the atmosphere of a characterful local despite being in the heart of the West End. Friendly staff and superb beers. Always has delectable Harvey’s Sussex Best on draught. And I had one of my favourite beers of all on my last visit but a rarity in London: Titanic Plum Porter. Don’t miss it. Absolute gem

Great choice of beers, not bad food..

Popped in for a quick post shopping drink with two kids. Friendly, non judgemental team, nice vibe and considerate customers.

Watch your pint is a pint here. The bar is always packed in the evening, so lots of pint are poured way under measure. A pint is to the top of the glass do not count the bubbles at the top.

I never regret coming in here! Best selection of beers around, and the food slays every time too💕 Not the mention the staff members who are always happy to chat and give suggestions, will be back very very soon (tomorrow)

Was strolling through Soho and stumbled across the lyric, It has a very welcoming atmosphere with very accommodating and knowledgeable staff. The beer and ale selection was immense, had a lovely conversation with the manager, he was super friendly and guided me on my cask ale selection. The mushroom and cashew roast was absolutely perfect for a Sunday afternoon. Will most be coming back!

Incredibly rude to my partners parents refused upstairs seating despite us just having bought drinks. Very rude & intimidating manager. Staff visibly at unease.

When visiting London, this Bar was the right choice. From the food, to the atmosphere and the service of the staff, everything is 5 stars. to repeat

A crowded Wednesday afternoon, The lyric is lively and welcoming. Be prepared for an eclectic choice of beers both from the Cask (a Bakers dozen of taps on the bar) and keg (run out of fingers!) Lovely knowledgeable staff offering great service. Lots of laughter and plenty of nectar going down. A super place for a pint.

This place was excellent; the food was good, and the drinks were chilled. But this place gets five stars because of our server, Alice. They went above and beyond when my mother left her bag on the chair, and they ran after us all the way to Piccadilly. Thank you, Alice, for the warm welcome and the exceptional service!

Best boozer in Soho / West London hands down. Unbelievable selection of craft and cask beers on rotation. Friendly, knowledgeable staff with special mention to Harnet who's definitely in the top 5 bar staff there and probably one of the finest bar tenders in Europe.

Great pub. Genuine old timer without the West End gloss. Food was great, proper steak and ale pie, with “proper gravy” (and it definitely was) really good wine list with a rippa Malbec and a couple of dozen different beers. Highly recommended. Cheers

The food and beer were fantastic. We were served by Haz who was very helpful and just a nice person all round. Definitely worth a visit!!

Had the worst pub experience in this one. They served a cask beer which smelt foul and vinegary. When asked to the bartender if I could have another one she pretended, in a very rude way, that the beer was fine despite multiple customers complaining about it. Very rude attitude from the staff and not hygienic environment. Please avoid!

Fantastic pub fair. Went there twice now. Extensive beer list. My favorite dish was the Scotch Egg. Staff is friendly, and our server Josh made us feel at home the moment we walked in.

Awesome independent Victorian pub with a serious selection of ales and great food. We had 3 small plates from the menu for lunch and all were top quality. The Haggis Scotch egg is a solid 10/10.

I found the place beautiful, good food and beer, served by a big guy, nice and attentive. For those looking for the atmosphere of a typical English pub it is highly recommended 💪
