Very central location. We ate upstairs. I came across the Burger Monday offer by chance (1 burger + beer for £16.95), which is very affordable compared to the average. Really good burger and excellent beer as an accompaniment. Highly recommended. Perhaps the cleanliness of the tables could be improved, but still the waiters were friendly

The pie and the fish n chips was just right! Make sure to get Harriet - she was lovely

Small pub, but they were able to get us in for Sunday roast. It was delicious, well priced for the amount of food, and the service was good.

Hidden gem for beers; it’s excellent. Don’t tell anyone…

Excellent and plentiful dishes, served ok and prices in line. The upstairs part where you have dinner is a bit claustrophobic. The tables are very close and especially with the fireplace on the room is too hot.

Unfortunately we had an awful experience at this pub. It is a lovely place, however, one of the female staff members was incredibly rude to us for no apparent reason. My Italian friend who does not speak much English tried to order a drink and there was some miscommunication when it came to paying. As such, she got our whole group of people kicked out of the establishment. I am extremely disappointed with what started as a nice experience. It was entirely the fault of the customer service.

We’ve visited the lyric for the second night now, Connor and Corben were really accommodating and recommend new drinks we’d never have tried unless for them. The service was outstanding and we felt really lucky to have them as our hosts thanks guys for making our trip memorable we look forward to our return.

Decent food, priced very reasonably. Well kept beer & cider. The staff, however was exceptional! As a person with a mobility impairment sometimes, to my sorrow, I need a bit of TLC. Thanks, Harriet, for giving me that!

The best pub in Soho by a considerable margin. Manages to have the atmosphere of a characterful local despite being in the heart of the West End. Friendly staff and superb beers. Always has delectable Harvey’s Sussex Best on draught. And I had one of my favourite beers of all on my last visit but a rarity in London: Titanic Plum Porter. Don’t miss it. Absolute gem

Popped in for a quick post shopping drink with two kids. Friendly, non judgemental team, nice vibe and considerate customers.

Watch your pint is a pint here. The bar is always packed in the evening, so lots of pint are poured way under measure. A pint is to the top of the glass do not count the bubbles at the top.

Was strolling through Soho and stumbled across the lyric, It has a very welcoming atmosphere with very accommodating and knowledgeable staff. The beer and ale selection was immense, had a lovely conversation with the manager, he was super friendly and guided me on my cask ale selection. The mushroom and cashew roast was absolutely perfect for a Sunday afternoon. Will most be coming back!

A crowded Wednesday afternoon, The lyric is lively and welcoming. Be prepared for an eclectic choice of beers both from the Cask (a Bakers dozen of taps on the bar) and keg (run out of fingers!) Lovely knowledgeable staff offering great service. Lots of laughter and plenty of nectar going down. A super place for a pint.

This place was excellent; the food was good, and the drinks were chilled. But this place gets five stars because of our server, Alice. Best boozer in Soho / West London hands down. Unbelievable selection of craft and cask beers on rotation. Friendly, knowledgeable staff with special mention to Harnet who's definitely in the top 5 bar staff there and probably one of the finest bar tenders in Europe.

Great pub. Genuine old timer without the West End gloss. Food was great, proper steak and ale pie, with “proper gravy” (and it definitely was) really good wine list with a rippa Malbec and a couple of dozen different beers. Highly recommended. Cheers

The food and beer were fantastic. We were served by Haz who was very helpful and just a nice person all round. Definitely worth a visit!!

Had the worst pub experience in this one. They served a cask beer which smelt foul and vinegary. When asked to the bartender if I could have another one she pretended, in a very rude way, that the beer was fine despite multiple customers complaining about it. Very rude attitude from the staff and not hygienic environment. Please avoid!

Awesome independent Victorian pub with a serious selection of ales and great food. We had 3 small plates from the menu for lunch and all were top quality. The Haggis Scotch egg is a solid 10/10.

We had a great first meal here and decided to go back for our final meal after 2 weeks in the UK. I think it was our favorite pie of many. The service was great too. It's really a great find.

Kyle was a great waiter. He was friendly and attentive. The food was amazing. I had sausage and mash and my spouse had Fish and Chips. Best meal we have had so far in London. Atmosphere is tight and could be overall improved.

We happened upon a Thursday when there was an offer of steak (fillet or rib-eye) with a drink for 17 pounds. Paid very little. Good meat and food, lots of beers on tap. Place in need of some renovation. Good service with expert waiters, with the novice there was a bit of a mess with beers dripping and tables being cleaned. Toilet to avoid.

Everything was excellent, the guys were very kind. We will definitely be back. The ribs delicious.

They had no salad or vegetable side dish to put on our sea bass dish. Chef would even add a few leaves or tomato. Said it wouldn’t go through the till if he changed the dish. We had to order a revolting Caesar salad With out chicken. To go with our meal Which was full price

Randomly popped in here with my 7-year-old while we were being super-tourists and needed a break from walking. Great craft beer and real ales, and great service. Chill pub I would definitely go back to.

Well, goodness, an ever-changing choice of 32 real akes, ciders or lagers is hard to compete with. Sheer numbers work in the Lyric's favour. A great pub with a small upstairs restaurant, very friendly, I could have stayed here all night, alas I had a restaurant to go to. Nice interior with a ceiling decorated with beer pump badges - try working your way through that - a small outside space. Rib Tuesday sounds like fun. Very good.

Such rude bar staff! (The blond-haired woman, not the others.) If you've been kept waiting over 5 minutes for a beer that you've been told will be brought to your table, you're perfectly entitled to go back to the bar and ask for it. To be told off twice - once at the bar and once at the table - for having the temerity to ask for it! Never again. And the cask beers didn't taste great but, to be fair, it was an exceptionally hot day. We'll stick to The Ship and The Dog and Duck in future.

Stopped here on the off chance for some food. They have a restaurant upstairs away from the bar. The menu was good and the selection of beers was amazing with lots of craft. The only downside was the restaurant area was a bit dark and almost "forgotten" but still worth a visit

Stumbled over this little gem, tucked in the heart of Soho. Flavorful, fresh steak pies with lovely, slightly crisp carrots and greens, perfectly blanched to a bright color and infused with the rich flavor of the gravy. Extremely reasonable price under £20. Delicious beers and ciders on tap. For dessert, I was overfull but hubby was served a beautiful parfait glass of Eton mess with huge, fresh raspberries. Fabulous food (upstairs), fabulous ambience, looking down over window boxes of fresh flowers on bustling streets below. Highly recommend.

Stumbled on The Lyric on way to a film screening event. Little oasis of cool and calm. Perfect thick-cut roast beef sandwich. An instant favourite London pub.

This is the place to go in central London for craft beer, you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic pub feed ! plenty beers on tap & options on the menu. Genuinely large filling meals beef roast was beautifully done. Staff sensational they made a small error one of our meals didn’t come out with the other 3. Was no bother to us happy to wait but at Lyrics discretion straight away said that that meal plus all our drinks was “on the house”. AMAZING we’ll go back for sure !

So - nice English pub - I was here for two hours in the lead up to the Euros, buying drinks, chatting with staff squeezing into a corner as the room swelled. I was told food orders close at 9pm. So, I sat at the bar, bought some crisps and half-pints to pace myself. I even asked for a menu, and enquired about availability, so it was pretty clear my intention was to order food ... but then when I tried to order at 8:30 they said the kitchen was shut - "too many orders". No compromise - a hard no - I would have been happy with chips or fried chicken ... but nuh, closed the kitchen early. Stiff!

An absolute revelation that I shouldn't be posting a review about. Charming Victorian gem that offers a proper pub experience with a friendly atmosphere. Cosy and traditional interior with wooden panels, open fireplaces, and etched glass. Very convenient if you're in the west end. Even a teeny outside area.

We came to this pub yesterday for a late lunch and because we noticed that it served proper cask conditioned real ale in the center of London. We were absolutely not disappointed the ale was excellent and the choice was very good. But more importantly the service was superb, we had the most delightful waitress who could not have done more for us, she brought samples of the beer as a result my partner bought more! Please pass our thanks onto her she was absolutely great and she made our day!

We opted for the Sharing Roast, with three meat option, and chose pork belly, ribeye, and chicken. Each meat was cooked to perfection, tender, and flavorful, making for an unforgettable meal. The portion sizes were incredibly generous, ensuring everyone left the table satisfied. The accompanying vegetables were tasty and perfectly cooked, complementing the meats beautifully. The Yorkshire pudding was a highlight—deliciously big and full of flavor, just the way it should be. Our family members who chose the ribeye roast were equally impressed. The portion was ample, and the meat was succulent and tasty. The meal was outstanding, and today's experience was one we will definitely want to repeat. Additionally, the staff were super friendly, adding to the overall enjoyable experience! I highly recommend The Lyric for anyone looking for a top-notch Sunday roast. We will certainly be back for more 🤗😋

Busy downstairs quite upstairs , me and friend went here before a show , nothing really took our fancies on the menu but we still grabbed a drink and the staff were really nice.
