This place was wonderful from the moment we walked in, the staff were friendly and attentive. The waiter was really pleasant and very knowledgeable about the menu. It was my son's birthday treat!! Well done to all enjoyed and thoroughly recommend the dining experience.

Was a little nervous heading in, as we’ve never been to a ‘high end’ restaurant. Actually cannot tell you how amazing the food and staff were. Every thing we ordered was done with such care and precision and the staff so knowledgeable about it all.

One of the nicest meals I have ever had - the attention to detail was so obvious in every aspect: the food, the service and the venue. Staff were so attentive, knowledgeable and made us so welcome. I will most definitely be coming back and would 100% recommend.

My daughter had given us a Virgin Experiences voucher for a ‘Celebration Lunch’ for 2 at the Lucky Cat and finally we had got round to going last week. It was easy to make a reservation with the voucher online. The restaurant is in an old bank building in central Manchester. The decor is fantastic (although not hugely Asian) and felt very special. There are tables on 3 levels but for lunch it appears they only open the ground floor. They do a set lunch and the Celebration Lunch was essentially that with a glass of champagne. You get a couple of snacks, choice of a couple of starters, and 3-4 mains and desserts. The front of house staff were excellent and helped us with our selections as well as providing a perfect ambiance throughout our meal. The food was mainly excellent and well presented. Not huge portions but we felt full by the end. Edamame beans, rice paper spring roll, vegetable tempura, crispy beef with rice and finally a chocolate tofu dish ((our server said it was great and would have normally been our last choice!). He was right the chocolate tofu was really good. Only slight disappointment was the crispy beef which was a little dry with not enough sauce. Loved the lunch. the restaurant and its staff

Went here with my wife and had the Omakaze. It was just an incredible experience, Chef Ralph prepared all the food in front of us and explained each dish to us as he was making it. The food was just exquisite, certainly one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Thank you for an amazing experience, I can’t recommend this highly enough.

The service was fantastic, but the food was certainly not worth the premium prices charged. £30 for two fatty lamb chops. An egg fried rice full of sweetcorn - sweetcorn not being advertised and a surprise for someone who doesn’t like it! £20 for eight pieces of sushi which were distinctly average. Perhaps only having seven tables of customers on a busy Saturday suggests others have been and thought the same. As I say, the serving staff cant be faulted and were very attentive. Having visited various competitors in Manchester, I can’t say I’d be rushing back here and believe that there are much better and similar tier restaurants available.

World class fusion munch from Gordon & team and importantly world class service from Eva. Made us feel at home, knew the menu back to front and had some great recommendations… the choco tofu desert was unreal.

One of the most exceptional dining experiences I have ever enjoyed. Each dish was a culinary work of art. Particular highlights were the Short Rib, Lamb Cutlets and the most delicious Egg Fried Rice that's ever crossed my palette. Overall Lucky Cat is leagues ahead of its competition at Tattu and Ivy Asia, and absolutely worth the price premium. A special note of thanks to our waitress Eva, who was extremely welcoming, knowledgeable, and expertly guided us through the menu with some fantastic recommendations... Meow.

The service is exceptional at this restaurant, Aim and Meg were so attentive and provided the best customer service. The sommelier Byron provided such insight into the wine list and recommended an excellent Merlot. The food was excellent, great choice, especially if like seafood and fish. The vegetarian options are limited.

Meg was our server and was positively incredible!! Fantastic with recommendations and so friendly, wanted to package her up and take her with me. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience, thank you lucky cat and Meg!

we visited the restaurant with the virgin experience voucher, 3 courses and a glass of champagne each. Upon arrival we were taken to our table and left no instructions to how the menu worked or drinks offered until 10 minutes later when our waiter arrived, Our server was lovely and explained the menu. The starters came as sharers which is a great idea and where enjoyed by us both. The mains where highly underwhelming with overcooked rice and small portions. For desert they had no mochi left so where offered a matcha lolly instead. The desert was not matcha but berries and resembled a solero ice cream, small and okay tasting. The chocolate tofu was the best part of this meal. Overall had an okay meal but p wouldn’t return especially for the high price point on food you can get far better anywhere else.

From the moment the doormen open the front doors, until the moment you leave, you know you are in somewhere special. The Service, the Food ( along with the Waitress's knowledge of the food ) and the ambience is just perfect. Think we were spoilt with a table on the Mezzanine Level which was a great spot to People Watch aswell. Our Waitress was superb aswell as the GM ( Think his name was Eamonn ). both ensured everything was 10/10...... would we return - without a doubt.

Firstly, can I say that this is located in a stunning building with amazing decor. We were greeted by the host that let us know that our table isn’t ready yet and asked if we would like any drinks first. This was perfect as we weren’t in any rush so we headed to the bar and opted for some cocktails. The bar man was very knowledgeable and courteous. 20 minutes later the host comes back and let’s us know that our table is ready and I appreciated that they gave us a nicer table (booth). The food was stunning and this is the perfect place for a date night, a bit on the pricier side but definitely worth it. Only thing I would say is when we were sat down the service was a bit slow and specifically when you pay that price you expect it to be faultless but that’s just a bit of feedback. Apart from this it was a great night, thank you.
