Me and my partner called in for a nice cupa and a bacon roll, as we went in i took a seat and an older lady with short blonde hair who seemed to be the supervisor was very abrupt no smile whatsoever and asked "how many" i replied "Two we are ok here are we?" She said im keeping this table for Four and we were then told where to sit like children! The decor was dark and morbid a bit like the staff! Lack in customer service. Couldnt wait to leave been here many of times and was never this bad before. They have a rope at the entrance to wait to be seated as if being caged in like an animal waiting to be freed!! Horrible atmoshphere never returning. Finally the lounge dont make me laugh! Should be renamed the dictatorship !!!! 1 star as the bacon roll was nice.

Croissant reheated so much was hard and to hot to eat, chicken baguette overpriced and under filled, chicken like rubber and baguette boiling hot, also I found an eyelash in the chicken which later vanished when waitress took into kitchen and was told by a manager it was just a line in the chicken was only offered a replacement after I asked for a refund 20 minutes later ,appalling customer service

We found many of the cafes in Tenby overpriced so opted to go here instead. Very modern and clean decor and a buzz to the place. You have to order at the counter and the food was delivered on mental trays but was, however, very good. A good place for a basic lunch.

My family and I had lunch here this week and all thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were all lovely and friendly, even shuffling around some tables to ensure we had room to eat there. I was really impressed with the value for money. The place was clean and tidy despite being really busy and the food was homemade, presented beautifully and most importantly tasted delicious.

Have come here for lunch over a number of years now but unfortunately this was our last visit … food is now served in ugly camping trays and cold drinks in stainless steel glasses - the angle to get your knife and fork in to cut was so uncomfortable, the camping trays were all scratched from previous diners - why would you take away glasses and plates and replace with these? Bizarre. In fairness we did ask for glasses and they did bring some but don’t think they’d been used in a while (!) so ended up drinking from the water bottle! It may be called the Lounge but this makes dining feel more suited to ‘jungle life’! Sadly we won’t return again.

Looking for a cafe/restaurant that does gf food isn't always easy.. I checked the menu of this very popular restaurant to see if they did gf food and they did, which was great. After eating here I can see why they are so busy. Staff were all friendly... just a short wait for our food to arrive - Perfectly poached eggs and gf toast too with great coffee and fresh orange juice. Would definitely go back if we come to Tenby again.

So good we went back twice. Everything we had had quality to it and appeared to be ‘home made’. As a fussy coffee drinker the espresso was perfect. Not over roasted like you would find in a lot of coffee shops. The kids menu was perfect with home made hummus and healthy snacks. And of course having gluten free stuff saved the day for me. The queuing system worked perfectly as you were takin to your seat and therefor not forgotten about. All the staff on both occasions were friendly and chatty. They made my family happy and that’s the best thing they could do.

Not sure what this coffee shop is all about. Definitely trying to be a posh coffee shop. Upon entering there is a queuing system with a rope chain going across as though you are waiting for a table in the ritz. Then you're shown to a seat (1 of a handful of tables) with a fresh cut rose in a vase. You go up to the till to order your drink.... 1 x cappuccino and 1 x hot chocolate. As its a COFFEE SHOP, we had high hopes but the cappuccino was the worst one ever tasted as it just tasted like warm milk - Weakest coffee ever had, not even convinced any coffee was in the cup! Now you can see what I mean about my review title. Going by the way it looks you have high expectations but if you like your coffee, I would avoid else you'd be disappointed.

Had lunch here last week on a visit to Tenby, wish we'd read the reviews first! After waiting at the "nightclub" rope we were seated by someone who looked liked she'd rather be anywhere else. I went to the counter to order and after spending over £18 I asked for a small glass/cup of water as an afterthought as I needed to take some medication. That'll be another 10p I was told. I could understand if I'd just walked in off the street and charged but not when I'd already spent that amount, really cheeky! Anyway the food eventually arrived, the welsh rarebit was just some stewed leeks on a piece of toast with a cheesy sauce on top - Mr W ate it cos he was hungry but described it as "meh" as was his coffee. I'd gone for the cheese scone and although it was a good size and freshly microwaved it was the weirdest thing I'd ever eaten, well I didn't actually as I left most of it. Overwhelmingly sweet with a cakey texture, laden with poppy seeds and could barely taste any cheese . It was accompanied by a tomato chutney whish tasted ok but did nothing to enhance or mask the taste of the scone. There is only one toilet for everyone to use and the floor was very wet (!) This place obviously relies on passing tourist trade (of which there is a lot as Tenby is a very nice place to visit) and doesn't care that they won't get repeat business.

Location was great, in the heart of Tenby town. Seating was comfortable, and it was a good place to get a little bit of privacy away from the busyness of the town at peak times. The coffee wasn't very appealing with limited menu options (such as no filter), but this seems to be standard for both the area & other Instagram-influenced coffee places, so it didn't factor into my review too much. I went with a mocha, with the intent of masking the taste of overly dark & bitter beans that you often get at these types of places (which turned out to be a good decision, I'd recommend the same if you want to enjoy a decent drink here). The above would all be passable, but the experience of sitting-in was not the best. Upon entry, you need to wait to be seated, which I understand may be used to help control the crowd during busy periods but I think it drastically reduces the likeability of this place. It's a coffee shop serving toast for £2.50 in Tenby, not a Michelin star restaurant in London, you'd like for it to embrace its surroundings and not try to be something it isn't. Also the staff were not the most friendly during our visit. We asked simple questions regarding menu options and were treated as if we'd asked something stupid. The staff seemed untrained/inexperienced, which is fine because we thought maybe they could all be new, but then maybe you could question the employer if standards could drop like this. Our overall takeaway from the experience was that we felt like our presence wasn't wanted in the shop, which is quite bizarre given what a café is supposed to be, at least in my eyes anyway.

Located in the middle of one of Tenby's busiest streets, this place is always packed. We had to wait a while for a table (fair enough as it was lunchtime in the middle of peak holiday season), but staff were friendly and got us seated as soon as possible. The menu is limited but they've obviously decided to do a few things really well, as the food was delicious. Staff were friendly and the place (including the toilet) was spotless - couldn't really ask for more. Probably not a place to linger, as it's always so busy, but great for a pitstop on a day out.

After a long walk we stopped here for lunch. We were greeted by a less than friendly lady who pointed to a table for 2 and then released the rope barrier stopping you from just walking in. Found that odd in the first place! Ordered a tea, a coke and 2 Welsh rarebit with additional bacon at a cost of almost £20. We were advised they were short staffed so we would have a half hour wait. The tea was ok, a can of coke is a can of coke, but the Welsh rarebit was just 1 piece of brown bread with lots of leeks, a slice of bacon and not much cheese. Found the staff abrupt in their manner and the food was definitely not worth the money. Had much better lunches in other cafes during our weeks stay. Went back to our holiday accommodation and had lunch! We Felt ripped off. Most definitely would not return.

I have just walked out of the lounge in tears after the looks of disgust I received towards my toddler because he was acting like a toddler. He is 18 months old and toddled towards the counter away from our table for one second and the extremely rude waitress made a comment that I need to get him. Which obviously was unnecessary as I was already walking to him as she said it. As a mother I was deeply embarrassed and upset as my little boy is ALWAYS well behaved and the one moment he trie to get up we had a rude comment. So families don’t take your children unless they are able to act 18+

Right from entering the cafe I asked if they took dogs & the response was just a ‘no’ .. in the end we decided to eat inside with my partner & 2 young children & my mum/dad outside with the dogs which was fine. Asked if I could sit at the only table available & was asked how many of us (as it seated 6) not even a bloody smile or just a go ahead!!! Just an ‘ok then if you must’.I ordered at the till & asked could I take off beans & eggs from my plate as I don’t like it or even do a swap for something else, the lady behind the counter refused to take it off as it ‘takes more time in the kitchen amending orders’ LOL I’ve never heard so much crap in all my life, so what would happen if someone had an allergy to eggs? I even asked if I could just pay for individual items to make up a breakfast & was told bluntly ‘no I can’t’ infact wouldn’t it be quicker not to cook an egg? Ridiculous, the only thing I can think is the breakfasts are made up in the morning & then reheated, YUK!!! I was fuming at this point, she even offered me scrambled eggs on toast LOL REALLY???! Popped in what was a busy cafe, for a light lunch. On a good point they had Gluten free options, however the food was expensive. I ordered some Potato wedges with Salsa. When I came to order I was asked which table I was at, which was difficult a I was single dinner. I explained that I could not save a table because while I'm ordering someone will likely take my seat. She more o less refused to serve me, claiming she needed to tell the waitress so they could deliver my order ( pushing the filings of the Cafe onto ,u shoulders, its my fault) So I had to nip out the queue, find a table which was out of site of the Counter, and ask another customer to save my table so I could order. Very kindly they did so, because the place was filling up fast. So my oder was delivered, reasonable amount of wedges, but for £5.95, it was a rip off, the very small amount of Salsa (Mayo being the other option) was tasty, pathetic in quantity, especially for the outrageous price. The other consideration, was these wedges appeared to have a coating of herbs, and I could not be sure without asking, tho assured, that they were Gluten Free (many frozen products use wheat in coatings).

This is the worst service ! We ordered food and it was ok. As a drink I ordered a milkshake Not knowing what it was I got a shmoo milkshake which does not state on the menu. I asked the lady behind the bar if I can exchange it because This milkshake is not good and it does not state on the menu the brand. being rude her reply was just because you do not like it we will not change it. If you want something pay for it!

We came here on a day out in Tenby as others had reviewed it as good for coeliacs. We weren’t disappointed. All our food could be gluten-free and the staff were well informed. We ordered everything gf; two English breakfasts, a pitta with beans and sausage and a halloumi salad. There were no pittas so that meal came with a ciabatta which, for gf bread, was pretty good. The halloumi salad was great - a nice amount of cheese, tasty dressing and a good mix of leaves and beetroot/toms/cucumber etc. The breakfasts were also decent portions with scrambled egg, bacon, beans, sausage and toast. Our only complaint was that the sausages were very cheap-tasting. So many sausages are now gf, it’s a bit of a travesty to be served such low quality snags.

Brilliant cream tea. Clearly effort goes into displaying food and drinks (see picture). Extremely quick and friendly service. Nice location to sit outside when sunny.

Calls itself a coffee shop but actually they do a decent cream tea with home made scones and nice teas. Proper clotted cream too, not that whipped cream or shhhsh stuff!

Popped in for a quick coffee and was met with a big smile from the staff, the service was prompt and friendly. After trying many places in Tenby for coffee would rate this as the best and at a good price. Been back many times

Believing that a full cafe must be a good cafe we popped in for tea/coffee and cake. Ended up with drinks only as the cakes looked very ordinary. The coffee was very poor and the tea average. Quite why this place was full is beyond me. There are so many better places in Tenby.

Mid morning coffee stop whilst visiting Tenby during our midweek trip to Bluestone. Light, airy, welcoming with a good selection of cakes. We only had two coffees and welsh cakes for my 4 year old. Friendly staff, efficient service. Coffees hot and tasty. The eggs Benedict of the two ladies next to us looked amazing, as did a brief look at other people’s food. We would certainly have returned for lunch if my 4 year old hadn’t been so eager to go back to the Bluestone resort and it had been warm enough to kill another hour or so on the beach. Will be returning.

4 of us had coffee and cake on Good Friday. Stylish, spacious cafe and we wanted to go to an independent rather than a chain coffee house. My wife had soya milk for her coffee and said it was very nice. Good coffee all round. The cakes looked lovely and were. Generous portion sizes. Pleasant staff. Sensible prices.

Called in for lunch as advertised gluten free options available. As a Coeliac it’s always hard to find some where ‘safe’. There were a number of options available and the food and drinks were served quickly. All hot freshly made. A good find.

I used to go here on occasion while stationed at Brawdy. It was a great place to go after a session of surfing. I was saddened to hear that it recently suffered a fire.

Absolutely amazing food. Excellent service. Nothing is too much trouble. Staff are friendly, chatty & helpful, and it’s clean. Definitely recommend the coronation chicken, cheese salad. Hubby had baked spud first time which he enjoyed & baguette 2nd time each he enjoyed. And the cakes WOW!! I will miss the carrot cake which I highly recommend & the custard slice is just as amazing. The cost is brilliant too. Thanks you Phillys Baguettes

Ordered two crab sandwiches latte and a beer, £35. Staff need a pick me up or it’s been a hard season. The crab sandwich was good, spoonful of coleslaw, frozen chips. Was told to help myself to a glass for the beer, everyone looked not properly washed, picked the cleanest but still had bubbles down inside indicating grease. Latte was tasteless. Not a pleasant experience won’t be back.
