We had lunch with our 2 grand children. Food was really good, the kids meal of chicken nuggets was also good. Service was a bit inattentive but otherwise a great lunch.

We booked a table for lunch and told the call taker of my wife's being intolerant to gluten (coeliac) and lactose. There was no mention of disclaimers / waivers whilst on the phone, so to do this once we'd travelled and ordered drinks was another abysmal piece of communication on their part. On arrival we were shown to a table and our drinks order was taken. The waitress said her supervisor would take the order due to the intolerance, all was looking good. Then came the real nugget of poor service. We placed our order then the supervisor came back with a 'disclaimer' and plonked it and a pen in front of my wife and said something on the lines of you have to sign this. When questioned on the legality of this, the supervising waitress stated well I can't serve you unless you sign it. We declined to sign, finished our drinks and left. I have been to some poor places over the years, but this beats them all. Such a draconian attitude whilst trying to duck out of their responsibilities, quite shocking for what is alleged to be one of the best restaurants in Burnley. Banner headline of 'Welcome to The Lounge at Crow Wood– one of the best restaurants in Burnley, we’re told.' Perhaps they should add unless you have an allergy or intolerance in which case we're not very good. The FSA states that restaurants cannot avoid or limit their legal responsibilities by brandishing a contract and a pen. We shan't be returning anytime soon and will also raise this with the FSA and coeliac uk as it is truly disgraceful and has left my wife upset and me angry. If you have an allergy or any intolerance, I would strongly advise you against going here.

The Service and Staff was Excellent from start to finish and the food was very good from a good selection and the surroundings was night and relaxing . All in All Excellent .

This restaurant is constantly first rate, the menu extensive, service is always well above average, and the room itself has a very pleasant atmosphere. I use this place frequently and have never been disappointed. Favourite dish is Fillet Steak Melt utterly delicious. I was staying in the main hotel and decided to have a spot of lunch after using the leisure facilities. Food was good and I felt the staff were very pleasant and attentive. Not sure I’d eat here in the evening bit like lunch tune ambience was perfect.

My husband booked for my birthday, and for a birthday meal especially, I was very let down. We normally go to Bertram’s or Wilfred’s but decided to give The Lounge a try…. Ish we’d stuck to what we know. We were greeted and shown to our table and quite promptly asked for our drinks order. The drinks arrived promptly too. This was the best service of the night. None of the staff looked like they wanted to be working that evening….i don’t want OTT singing and dancing, fireworks or anything silly, but someone who looks a little pleased to be serving you what could potentially be a very special meal out. The food we had as starter and main were really good, very tasty. When my main course was brought, I was asked if I wanted any sauces. I asked for mayonnaise. The waiter went away and didn’t return….busied with anything but mayonnaise. The staff seemed to ‘potter’ with jobs such as wiping the bar down, entering info into the computer/till but weren’t attentive to the people in the dining area. My husband finished his main and as a waiter walked past our table, (wasn’t paying attention, my husband had to literally grab his attention) to ask where the mayonnaise was we had been offered. The waiter went off from us, passed on to another member of staff, who stood waiting with some mayonnaise on a plate in his hand, whilst the other waiter returned for him to then tell him which table to bring it to!?!? We sat with empty drinks glasses, both is us trying to get the attention of someone to order drinks. When the lady eventually noticed what’s we were trying to do, her manner was as if we were causing her ‘extra work’ After we got our drinks we were offered the dessert menu. For the entire time it took for us to drink our drinks (which were pints) no-one came to take our dessert order, despite again trying to get a member of staffs attention. We resulted in getting up and leaving. The lounge would have got desserts, further drinks and liqueurs coffee from us had they been ‘on the ball’ but sadly this was not the case, they lost out. Won’t be returning in a hurry.

The staff who served us were very inattentive. Had to go up to the bar to ask where our drinks were because they were taking so long. The girl I spoke to asked what we wanted to drink, even though our order had already been taken at the table. A waitress then brought us the wrong drinks, so they had to go back and change them. Food ended up coming out before the right drinks. Will end on a positive- food was lovely.

My birthday treat with family, 8 of us, 6 having afternoon tea, and my two grandsons aged 14 and 11 off the menu. TBH the thing that marred the event was lack of care by one member of staff. We were not asked if we wanted tea or coffee with the Afternoon Tea, in fact one of my daughters enquired at the bar after we’d finished if tea was included. She was told it was but we should have ordered it? The table was left full of empty plates etc for quite a while and we felt that one of the staff just didn’t care and was quite rude. A young lady with a ponytail and a young man that served us with our Afternoon Tea trays and took them away were lovely, but the occasion was marred a little by this one staff member with something of an attitude, we all felt it and it’s not on. Several of us have worked in the service industry and even if you’re having a bad day it’s not the customer’s fault, we were all polite, quietly conversing and respectful. The food was good, and my grandsons loved their bao buns and burgers. I’m a Crow Wood member by the way, and was disappointed not to receive the usual birthday Voucher for the Lounge, I’m afraid a number of club members are beginning to feel second class to the new spa project.

Visited on Friday evening for a family catch up. Took advantage of the 2 for 1 fish and chips offer. All 4 of us commented on how lovely and fresh the cod was, with equally amazing batter. The chips, as always, were great. One comment would be the bread and butter was bread and marg, you can tell the difference. No room for dessert, but would love to try next time. No issues, highly recommended, especially for 2 for 1 deal.

First visit in a while but the food in the past as always been good..unfortunately last night wss very disappointing. Firstly our pina coladas which were made together were so different..one was perfect the other not..Next the fish pie which used to be packed with good chunks of fish was just tiny flakes..literally had to fish through the sauce to find anyyhing .The buttermilk chicken was deep fried chicken in breadcrumbs Not the same as in thd past. Won't be rushing back anytime soon.

Really disappointed with the fish pie last night. It’s usually always really good but last night I was literally fishing through it no pun intended trying to find any fish! There were no chunks of fish like there normally is but tiny little flakes of white fish and salmon. So basically paid for some mash and a sauce. We ordered two pina coladas too and both looked and tasted completely different even though they were shaken at the same time by the same bartender. One was missing an ingredient.

We all enjoyed a family meal at the Lounge in January (4 adults). Staff were really lovely and it was a cosy setting. The purple mood lighting in there is lovely! Lots of choice on the menu for all- we enjoyed a selection of different food including; garlic bread, popcorn chicken, prawn cocktail, fish & chips, burger and beef tacos. All food was served to an excellent standard and we enjoyed our meal. Thank you all! See you again soon!

Dined in the lounge as a family of four (2adults and 2 older children). I like how the restaurant has a smart but relaxed vibe about it. We took advantage of the two for one burger offer which was good value. We all enjoyed the food and the service was excellent. Just had a lovely breakfast with family at the Lounge. The Lancastrian breakfast was amazing and the service from our waitress Iwona was fantastic. It was definitely the best breakfast we have had locally.

This place was recommended by someone who assured us the food is amazing! Not knowing the area and using the postcode, it took us a while to find the place. Stunning location with plenty of ongoing building work. Plenty of parking available. Welcomed through the barrier by a friendly receptionist and then met by a surly young girl who asked if we had a booking, told her no to which she sighed and pressed a few buttons, the place was empty. Shown to a large table and given menu. We waited 10 mins and then our orders for breakfast were taken. Half an hour passed, and our coffees and food arrived. Everything on the plate was covered in black pepper, and the bacon was like leather. Scrambled eggs were a wet mess with pepper overload. Mushrooms also fried in pepper and a hard, crispy sausage. Toast was nice. Toilets are spotlessly clean. We paid and left just as the place was filling up.

Myself & my friend visited this morning for breakfast & was warmly welcomed by the lovely Beth. Beth was attentive & ensured we had everything we needed especially in regards to my baby boy where she asked right away whether I needed a high chair. She was timely and efficient, Beth also ensured no dietary requirements or allergies needed addressing and ensured we had a lovely experience for breakfast this morning, thank you Beth. We will definitely visit again :)

Stylish decor, very clean and great atmosphere. A Spacious relaxed dinning area with high celings and lots of natural lighing. Excellent service on the whole and particularly the food service which was very quick. Food came out hot and fresh and tasted fantastic as always. I would strongly recomend the buttermilk chicken. Lovely experience catching up with my sister on Sunday. Had the beef roast which was so delicious. Our waitress Grace helped recommending between starters all while making sure we were okay and that our drinks were kept topped up throughout our stay, We were stuck on a few different options for starters and she suggested the duck gyozas which we absolutely loved. The drinks menu had great range of cocktails and spirits, I had the Pina colada.
