The Lord Nelson in Sheffield

Went here today for 1 reason and that was to get Carling premier.. but wow great people and service.. toilets was also 2nd to none brilliant place

Our last port of call on a days drinking in Sheffield, great choice of real ales, great atmosphere

Great local pub serving good pints and decent prices. The Lord Nelson is an traditional corner pub that's popular with united fans and local residents.

First time in donkeys since I’ve been here. Decided to meet a couple of friends who have never been in this pub before. They liked it so much they want to go again. A great welcome from all… locals, residents and staff. Stefan the landlord and Donna his bar manager are brilliant, we felt so comfortable and welcome. A great pub, that’s held its charm. Thank you everyone for making us feel at home x

Busy little pub on outskirt of city centre

Went in at 6pm, on a Friday and it seemed a bit dull and unlively. Didn't have food, so I can't comment on that. But swift service and decently priced. Toilet floor was covered in urine though.

4 cask ales on, all taste the same, Not even sure what I'm drinking here

I am disabled with a terminal illness, they let me bring in my mobility scooter into the pub, they are so understanding with my condition. The staff are very friendly good mannered, not only that in these days I feel that I can't go into town at night because you hear on the news that someone has been attacked, but in my mind I can go into town go into The Lord Nelson pub, have a great time in the company of other people and feel safe. Then I can just call for my taxi or even the staff will call for one on your behalf and that is why I have put this review, and I have given 5 star rating but if the rating was higher I would give a 10 star 🌟 rating. Well kept beer, great barman when was there and love the Shred/ Blades mementos.

Terrific pub. John, the landlord, is welcoming and serves an excellent pint. The regulars were also welcoming and the beer was spot on! Decent price too at £3.50

I visited the lord nelson on Friday as my wife played darts there what a cracking pub this is wish I lived in Sheffield so I could visit more the bar staff are excellent 👌 the Guinness was like drinking milk brilliant thanks all the staff

Proper Boozer, really lovely staff. Came in for a pint on Thursday night as a group of us and were looked after. Will be back when down this end of town 👍

Wow never expected it to be so good, just like pubs used to be ,the wife and I used to go in 1978 when it was called Fanny's, brilliant atmosphere, we are planning a return with some of the family soon

Very small but lovely place with cheap beer from the brewery around the corner. They have sky sports (not necessarily a plus), darts and a snooker table upstairs.

Good pub to come and have a pint away from the fuss of the student area and main town centre. Has a dartboard and pool table upstairs. Friendly staff, we went twice in a weekend visit to Sheffield.

Am out of the way pub but friendly staff and good prices. Quite small but wasn't busy when I visited. They have a roof terrace for basking in the sunshine and they serve some unusual beers. A good place to visit if you are in Sheffield and not too far from the main areas. I recommend a visit.

Another surviving traditional pub! Done up a bit, more modern decor, love the different corners in the pub. The owners or landlord put out a bit of food (finger food) which is nice.

Parked over the road before when there has been a wedding or football on and the crowds spill out onto the street but on the evening I visited it was very quiet. Could have been a proper old boozer, but lacking the old bit now. Looks like it has been done over a bit so lost the old feel that so many pubs have these days. Having said that I enjoyed my visit, good selection of ales and staff were great.

I visited today. The bar is a typical 20s style bar, the decor is a light grey. The brown glazing frames around the windows don't suit the decor. The staff seem disinterested in customers and don't seem happy with their career choice. No thank you when taking money, the basics in customer service were lacking. There are a good choice of ales for a pub of this size and the frontage is a great sun trap for warm weather.

Visited a few times on a stag trip A real “proper pub”. Pool and darts room upstairs was clean and really good for a group. Lots of beers and real ale to try. Also you get a loyalty card! Every 10 pints get a free pint! Landlord and staff helpful and attentive. Well priced as well. Locals friendly and quite funny as well!! Pop in and check it out.

My twin brother Stephen and I decided to jump the train down from Liverpool Lime Street Railway Station to Sheffield and spend three days in the steel city visiting the great pubs this city is justifiably famous for, one of the best we visited was The Lord Nelson Pub. I loved the look of this pub, its interior is superb, a solid wood serving bar dominates the main room, pubby decor and furnishings, tv's and big screens to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub and make no mistake this pub is a shrine to Sheffield United F.C. with lots of football shirts of this famous football club adorning the walls, its just a very cool pub. We were here on a Wednesday evening, pub was busy with a great atmosphere, we ordered Acorn Brewery ale ,these were served in pristine condition, we settled down and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub. My ale was really good, a lovely refreshing brew ,a delicious aroma and aftertaste with a slight bitter finish, a classic British pale ale that was really thirst quenching on a hot evening, it was just so good being in such a lovely pub enjoying a quality brew. We both really enjoyed our ale's in here, only stayed for the one each before moving on and for a first time visit to The Lord Nelson Pub we were totally impressed. The Lord Nelson Pub is easy to locate along Arundel Street. Opening hours are; Monday to Thursday, Open from 1pm. Friday to Sunday, Open from Midday. Most definitely well worth seeking out if you're in the area.

Top top top pub! Welcoming staff aswell as customers. Surprised at how efficient bar staff were considering it was a matchday and very busy. Impressive! Made my day 👍🙂

The Lord Nelson is a traditional corner pub which is a staunch Sheffield United pub and was one of the many pubs we visited on a three day break to Sheffield. The Lord Nelson stands somewhat alone and is in an old disused industrial area of Sheffield.With a recently refurbished interior with lots of Sheffield United memorabilia adorning the walls'this is the perfect pub if you follow this club. We visited here early in the evening and this pub was very lively and we just about managed to get a seat.When here they had a few cask ales so we ordered a few glasses of Acorn brewery ales that were perfectly served and well priced. This was a great pub to visit as it was lively and it served cask beers and I like traditional pubs with bags of character.Very easy to locate from Moor Market Eyre street bus stop walk along Earl street onto Arundel street a few minutes walk.(This is my first review of the Lord Nelson). Came across this pub by chance on watching football at bramall lane - i really liked this pub - busy but u can get a drink when needed - only thing that was a bit odd was northerners 'meat' brushing u every 30 seconds - apart from that though it was ok

First time in this pub and it was a nice inside a great selection of beers .well priced for town center and so clean .try it.
