Had a lovely visit to the Ridgeway Arms this morning for breakfast with Santa. Breakfast was delicious and all the staff were so lovely and helpful. To top it all a visit from Santa with a gift for the children. Really enjoyed it. Well worth a visit.

Just been and had a meal here with hubby and two sons. Staff are so friendly food is lovely and the prices are fantastic

There Sunday 17th late afternoon, just had the megga sharing platter with a side of fries. Wanted to thank the lovely lady behind the bar, sorry forgot her name. She was so lovely and helpful.

The young lass behind the bar was absolutely lovely every time I came to the bar and honestly some of the best service I have received in a long time she was so welcoming and polite making me feel very welcome in a pub I don't come in very often, I asked her for her name and I'm sure she said it was rose so if I got that right please let her know how great of a job she is doing. I would 100%recommend this place to anyone in the area great atmosphere and all lovely staff and regulars.

Was very busy, still got served quick, staff where nice and friendly.

Meal was okay but we waited a long time for it and it wasn't very warm or nice. Similar sort of food to what you would get at other chain pubs. Plenty of parking but don't think we will come back.

Me and my partner came in for food on the 24th October 2024 and the food was great and we was served by a young woman called Hannah....... What a credit to your company she is. She was well dressed and well mannered and can't wait to return.

I had a wonderful time at the Ridgeway Arms. The steak and ale pie was delicious and the service from Megan was outstanding, she was very welcoming and friendly. The pub itself has a great atmosphere. I will definitely be visiting again!

We came here at the weekend for a family lunch. The food was delicious and the sizzling grills looked great. There was a good selection of drinks at the bar and the staff who were on was really friendly, especially the lady with pink in her hair. We'll be back again soon

I came in about a week ago, when I walked in there was only one staff member at the bar when the pub was full. Went to my table with my family we then went to the bar to order the food my partner wanted a mixed grill and the woman at the bar stated there was no more ingredients for this baring in mind it was around 5.30pm on a Monday afternoon why was there no ingredients?? The food arrived I ordered a sirloin it was just pure fat there was hardly any meat to it. The chips tasted like old oil a few of my other family members stated the same the only food eaten was peas. The toilet facilities are disgraceful stains everywhere and stunk. No changing facilities for babies neither. Will definitely not being going again.

Called in on afternoon of 2nd november for food. Was greeted very politely. Served by a young lady called Hannah I think it was. Very very polite, smart, knowledgeable about the food as we have allergies etc. Felt very relaxed & cared for not just a customer. 1st time in will defo be visiting again. Well done young lady.

Food a bit of a let down after such a long wate.

We arrived a little earlier than time and we did apologise the male in the bar was very rude and said you just like to make my job harder which I thought was very rude when I did say we were early and we don’t mind waiting else where and we would get drinks. Anyways after sitting down I noticed the female waiter who was handing out the food had gone to the toilet with her apron on and didn’t take it off before entering. My partner went into the men’s toilet and there was blood all over the sink and very dirty. When we went to order food half of the items weren’t available I.e mixed grill and then when ordering the mixed grill some items had to be swapped for other items. Food when came was cold and fatty. Defiantly won’t be coming in here again!! Use to be lovely. I think food hygiene needs an inspection

Pub not very busy, told it would be 20 minutes wait for food, that was an hour and 20 minutes ago and still no food. Definitely never again.

Just been in for lunch with mum and dad for a double birthday lunch! Food was lovely we all had the flatbreads and they were a good portion size nicely presented. Gentleman on the bar area was polite and friendly and made us feel welcome.

This Pub used to be first class but has really gone down It was Saturday afternoon and it was half empty. The main course came and it was so small I have seen bigger kids meals I asked to see the Manager he was very indifferent and said this was Company portion size- which is not true I have been in lots of Greene King Pubs and have never seen such small meals the puddings were ok We won’t be going there again

Well we're to start! I went here with the family ordered our food and sat dwn friendly server helpful enough. Was sat there few minutes and was approached by member of staff to be told we've gt no breadcake for the burger! So I reluctantly chose something else thought I'd go for the xl mixed grill. Food came onion rings missing and litteraly a handful of chips told the server who fetched me two onion rings! and said that was the portion for the chips now I counted 15 chips it states on the menu a larger portion of chips with the xl mixed grill so god knows what u get usually. Emailed management to be informed your chips are basically sold my weight really absolute twoddle not a chance in hell do. Kitchen staff weigh the chips onto each plate very disappointed used to be really good here and we used to visit often won't be going anymore ill take my business elsewhere and don't have a positive word to say

The food is so good we went twice in one week. Service is excellent, I would definitely recommend a visit.

Although the staff were lovely, the food is dreadful and most of the group I was with got a refund. It is chicken and burgers in the main but it needs to have chicken in the bonless wings and not burnt to a crisp. The two stars are for the staff who were lovely with drinks and refunds

Normally love this place for a nice meal but tonight chicken wings not cooked and the skillet plates was thick in black burnt bits wasn't just mine was my partners too

The mixed grill I had was wonderful and the steak cooked perfectly, my partner was extremely happy with the tandoori sizzler, nice friendly staff and a good pint.

Really good, friendly service. Food was tasty and well presented. Tables were clean. We have been many times. The only blip are the ladies toilets. They need upgrading.

Went for a full English and to watch a football match, decor is so nice and the staff are lovely. Lots of big TV screens. Food cooked to perfection! Child friendly with books and crayons. We loved it!

I attended the restaurant today around dinner time and was served by Debbie! She was lovely and the food was amazing too! I would really recommend going here especially if Debbie is working! She made the experience even better and was so friendly! Thankyou again!

The food it frozen its orable stake got funny taste dident even eat my food. The last time i came here it was the same I sent my food back. The prices of the food isent cheap it's expensive but orable. The beer has a funny taste everything I come not coming again minght come back to pick concers out side about the only thing this pub has going for it. Go to phoenix or British Oak if you won't nices fresh food.

Good family pub with family priced meals. has a nice outside area and nice scenery with grass and trees for children to play in.

The venue was exceptional, and we were delighted to have booked it for our wedding reception and meal. The staff demonstrated utmost professionalism and ensured that all our needs were met, making our special day truly memorable. The quality of the food was remarkable, and the value for money was outstanding. We could not have wished for better service from both the staff and management. I highly recommend this venue to anyone considering booking an event.

Ordered sloppy Joe texas in toast got macaroni instead didn't ask me just presumed it should have ask me then service was rubbish

Really good food for Pensioners special, service a bit slow (probably due to a few adults and MANY children being present) and atmosphere marred by very noisy children.

Not too far from where we live so call in every few months. Sit down and pick our choices then order at bar. I had the bacon and cheese burger with chips at £8.49 which is tasty and good value. A pint of morretti is a little expensive at £6.00 so food a lot better value than drinks. We also get 20% off with blue light so that helps in this friendly local.

We have been to the Ridgeway Arms a few times now as we have friends that live nearby. The quality of food is excellent and very good value for money. My go-to dish is always the steak and ale pie. Whilst there is (as is normal) limited vegan options, my wife had the mushroom and garlic pie which she thoroughly enjoyed. Service is good and staff are always friendly. Only minor issue is the lack of availability of non-dairy options for hot drinks.

The food was lovely and well presented . We ordered via the app as it was very busy . All the food came together . It was a little chaotic at the bar. We were unsure if there was new staff on and unsure of till, etc, but overall, we had a nice evening and would go back again

We have been coming here quite regularly for many years now as a family. Our server Lucas who we've had a few times now is always so polite, friendly and well mannered. One of the meals was slightly wrong last Friday and he sorted it for us straight away. He's a great asset to your team.

Mid week lunch for two people for £20.50 you can't go wrong

Aaron , Char and the chef made us desserts even though the kitchen had closed and they were yummy. Our main meal was scrumptious too. Thanks for looking after us so well

Tonight was a lovely night, thanks to the staff who were really accommodating and the food was lovely. Charlie and Aaron were great tonight, really friendly.

Attended private function so only applies to that aspect, not main bar. Function room on first floor, no obvious disabled entry/access. Room was a good size for the ~80 guests, with private bar and two staff, so no long waits plus has a small dance floor area. Food, finger style buffet was excellent, both in variety and quality. The only downside, hence 4* were the toilets (comment refers to gents, didn't inspect ladies) a throw back to the 80's, awful! Not clean, smelly, dirty with out of date facilities - very poor show. If they sort them would be 5* and heartily recommended.

pre booked for 3 adults.spacious eating area.menu ok if you,re not too picky.we ordered millionaire,s burger came with fries but only 2 onion rings on the side,low and slow beef,came on the bone but fell off nicely as soon as touched and served with chips,half a grilled tomato and garden peas(spoilt the otherwise lovely meal by being hard and cold)chick n pick was a selection of 2 types of your choice of chicken(we ordered the chicken fillets and chicken tandoori)you get 2 pieces of each and had a choice of 4 dips (so i opted for the sweet chilli)served with chips and 8 onion rings.all meals were sufficient enough and enjoyed by all 3 of us.would recommend although the ladies toilets could do with being checked and cleaned more regularly.just over £37 for the 3 meals and just over £14 for 2 pints of carling and a j2O.all in all a pleasant dining experience.On the plus side is that you don,t have the staff coming up to you in the middle of your meal asking if everything is ok.would dine there again and recommend to others.

New menu food was good (recommend flatbreads!) but unfortunately really let down by the service, really need more staff on- waited almost an hour for pudding's and ended up getting a refund on them as we couldn't wait much longer. Such a shame as young boy working was lovely but was absolutely rushed off his feet.

Came to watch football. As it was Thursday we got the BOGOF burger deal, great value for money. Good polite service

Lovely evening having drinks with friends, bar staff are so friendly Caitlin always has time to say hello even though she never seems to stop working unless she’s on her break, she keeps the place running smoothly and is always helpful and friendly.

Absolutely brilliant service. The manager (or who I think is the manager, man with tattoos) and the lady with him, also with tattoos. Couldn't do more for us.My family were incredibly fussy with what they wanted and they did everything they could to accommodate. Couldn't ask for anything more, we had a fantastic bank holiday Friday. Thank you so much! We'll be back

I came to this pub for the first time tonight for a few bank holiday drinks and I will 100% be back The service was impeccable, especially Megan, Rachel and Brandon, they not only did they make sure I was comfortable and happy but they went the extra mile to make sure my visit was amazing, fast service and all drinks came with a smile. A wonderful pub with amazing staff, thank you Megan, Rachel and Brandon for making my visit so wonderful!

Great food, toilets are shabby and all was blocked but as soon as we told them about the situation they sorted it. We used disabled in mean time. Vegan and gluten free options are fantastic 👌 deffo recommended

Just love a sticky table and menu?! Tables not cleared and food on the floor. No Sunday dinners left..on a Sunday who knew. Real ale served at lager temperature. Toilet door missing and very dirty. Food took a while and was luke warm when it arrived. Presentation was very poor. Not the best green king I've been in

Table was sticky, ordered slow cooked 7 hours Rib of Beef. It's supposed to be tender after being cooked for that long!?! Couldn't cut it off the bone for a start, when I've had this before in other places it's just fallen apart, the chunk I managed to get off, with the help of a steak knife, was so tough I had to spit it out into my tissue! For the price it was awful, will not return.

The chicken loaded chips wasn't really a meal and not much chicken on it. The chicken on the mixed grill was awful, as was the sausage and the peas weren't cooked. The chips were good.

We didn't eat at the pub, we watched a band Midnight Train, absolutely fantastic. The service behind the bar was slow and frustrating. Poor girl must be shattered she never stopped, and no little support.

I visited here on 3rd feb and Had a cute little date 🥰 night Me and mi amoré / Best friend and carer. we really do enjoy coming to eat here as the food is delicious, ill add few pics of things weve had over time as returning customers. Most Staff was friendly and helpful with everything unfortunately though when we arrived we had called that morning and reserved a booth table for 8pm and some other people were at it when we got there for our booking time but staff soon sorted it out. My only critique would be, staff need to observe who's at the bar and the order they come in as we waited 10+ minutes as while we stood patiently 4 separate people came to the bar after us and got served before we did and then when they finally served me I told them I had a reservation for 8pm and when she realised someone was at it she proceeded to say cus of the table mix up too " you are 10 minutes late for your reservation" and I told her I wasn't late iv been here waiting to get served and to tell staff that we have arrived for our reservation. I will give the girl the benefit of the doubt as iv been a long time customer maybe she was having a bad/rough day or something as her attitude towards us as customers and just the huffing and puffing about was not necessary at all and made us feel like we was burdening her. I will be returning as I'm giving it the benefit of doubt, she's lucky we are regulars and not a new customer as they wouldn't have returned but as i have never had this problem before and I'm hoping to see a change in her behaviour/attitude but if she is the same next time, then I will directly speak to management and pass on her name. Leaving this review on a quick note - 1 star was lost on service because of the girl and the other star on food was lost because the hunters chicken meal is absolutely delicious but them chicken breast are absolutely tiny and not suitable for an adults meal, a childs maybe but not adults it literally takes about 2- 3 bites for 1 chicken breast, you should seriously consider changing up which ever wholesalers you get your chicken from. Thanks as always for all the delicious foods we've tried, next time I hope I can give you 5/5 on everything.

Excellent pub! Really nice interior adding to the atmosphere, the food I've had has been cooked to perfection every time, there's a lot of variety on their menus as well as drinks and the staff are always pleasant and happy to help. If you're into sports then you'll love the big screens you can see from anywhere you're sat, even outside, without it being obnoxious for those who aren't. Guaranteed parking space as the grounds are huge. The function room upstairs is a decent size as well. I would definitely recommend!

Went last week thought I'd leave a review as been positively affected by my experienced here and felt it right to, went with a few friends for food and drinks, food was delightful as it has been many times before, an incorrect item was efficiently corrected and everything was hot and fresh, table service by the young lad was great so helpful with everything, Megan behind the bar was great had good jokes and always service with a smile, both are a credit to your business - will come again soon!

Lovely pub and friendly staff. There was 4 of us and we each had a different meal, hunters chicken, loaded chicken strips, pie and gammon and each was lovely and tasty, nothing left on plates. Excellent value bogor. Will definitely be going back.

Nice place. Hot food however poor choice of gluten free meals. Nachos or V nachos for starters and dessert ice cream or V ice cream. Not much choice there. Only2 mains too.

Never had a bad meal, lovely staff reasonably priced

Hired for a wedding reception. Convenient venue but shambolic management. All went smoothly at first and booking was paid, £750. I was then contacted saying there was an additional fee of £120 to have the time from 4pm which was never mentioned. Asked for proof of this but none was given. Went back again a fortnight before the wedding and saw the pub manager who talked with me about decorating the room. I was told by him that the backdrop I was wanting couldn't be put directly on a wall so it didn't damage the paintwork which was fine. He helped me find an appropriate place to put it and said he was free the day before the event to help set up the room. I also asked about bringing the cake and was told that was fine as there was a cake fridge to keep it overnight. Arrived to decorate at the agreed time the evening before and the manager was not there. The room was dirty from another function and nothing was in place. The staff were unaware I was coming and were not free to help apart from approx 10 minutes. I was then told the backdrop could not be used. This was via a text from the assistant manager to the staff there. I was told they couldn't keep the cake either. A friend took the cake the morning of the wedding and asked whether the backdrop had been put up as agreed by the pub manager. She spoke with the assistant manager. My friend's feedback was that the assistant manager was beyond rude, saying she was in charge and it wasn't wasn't happening. The two staff on the actual evening who ran the function were lovely and they were thanked profusely. They made the evening enjoyable. I returned the following day to collect items and was met with absolute disregard. It was a really negative atmosphere and no help was offered. I can only assume that now they had money from the evening there was no need to bother with me.

A family of four ate there tonight and the food was awful the chick n mix x3 meals the roasted skewers tasted like wet no texture meat. Coleslaw was warm and basically a pot of mayo. Corn on cob tasted like was fresh from the ground. The signature millionaire burger... the chicken was disgusting slop and beef burger tasted like had been left in water before putting on breadcake slop. Then the dessert was rock hard cheesecake. A meal we was looking forward to as a treat came home feeling like all going to be poorly alot of money wasted....

Staff were friendly told early that food would be half hour, no problem. Food was a lot longer than half hour. Worth the wait? Not really, was nice, just glad it was BOGOF otherwise wouldn't have been happy as there were next to nobody in the place. Return visit, not soon but probably will at some stage..
