Bustling pub with great atmosphere and a good place to watch the football with an ample selection of ales & beers. Can get loud but not an issue.

Cracking little pub, we went to watch the England match, first time in pub and we were made very welcome, landlord & lady are fab, the barmaid was spot on, great beer at a great price, what a little diamond. We will be back next time we visit. Thankyou for the hospitality and a fab evening

Great pub, drinks are a really good price. Dogs allowed and tables and marquee outside, does not do food but there is a food van which is good

Popped into Nelson last Saturday for a drink. Good singer on, middle of the road stuff. Everyone was friendly, atmosphere was good.

The Lord Nelson is a traditional community pub in flemingate. An excellent wide choice of beer, including three cask conditioned real ales. There is a nice cosy front Bar Room and a large room at the back with nice modern decoration and wooden floors with TVs. There is a big Courtyard garden, with views of Beverly minster. The staff are welcoming and the pub is Dog Friendly.

A really nice pub made up of two rooms and was very popular when we visited on a Friday night..

Nice ambience and cool barmaid, but there is nowhere without TV or music. Pity not to have a quiet area.

We’ve recently moved to Beverley and tried out all the pubs which were dog friendly. The Lord Nelson is our favourite. Busy enough to have an atmosphere, not so busy we can’t get a seat. There seems to be a band on some nights, but we’ve never stayed long enough to enjoy it. One day we will! A proper pub, with sport on the telly but we like that!

Great little pub. Early closer but that's how it is. At least they stick to their posted closing times. I will be back one day. Carling but no Nonick glasses.

I love the Nelson. Great pub, friendly staff. I'm originally from London so I'm used to pubs not being child friendly but we always feel welcome here with our 2 year old. I also love the music they play, makes a huge difference to me 🤟

Good old fashioned proper pub. Very friendly staff the quality of the drinks are good. Everytime I visit the area, I go in a drink and friendly chat.

Sat out in the sun with a Wold Top Scarborough Fair which seems to be a welcome permanent fixture on tap. Enough to get me back in again!

The people who have it now have done a good job on the place and it's good inside and out. They're keen on getting some live music on the go so that should be OK

A fantastic place. My 1st ever visit, a warm welcome by all the staff, a good choice of beer to meet most tastes. Excellent Covid protocols all well adhered to by all customers and staff. The decor is fresh and feels homely, big TV in the bar area showing sport. The toilets were clean and kept in good order, will I visit again most deffinatley. A great pub and great staff.

Called in Sunday pm to a warm welcome and secure in table being cleaned before we sat down. Comfy cosy pub obviously well liked by regulars but also welcoming to visitors. Pub owner very friendly and welcoming. Open and enthusiastic. Pay a visit!!

I didn't realise that this pub had reopened. Nicely refurbished with two excellently kept real ales on tap plus usual lagers etc. I'll be back.

Under new management with decor updated and freshend up. Only two craft ales on pump with the usual largers. Plenty of seating.

First visit to Brigg for a while and found The Lord Nelson pub. Not the easiest to access with a wheelchair but we were greeted warmly and made to feel welcome. Luckily we found a table with normal height seats, (most other seating seemed to be high bar chairs) and we used the wheelchair cushion in the seat she chose to sit in so that she could reach comfortably. It’s a good job we did as when her meal arrived it was a very generous portion of sausage and mash with gravy and a Yorkshire pudding all served in a wide soup dish. I had gammon and chips served with salad and peas and hubby had chicken enchilada which I must say look gorgeous. All was beautifully cooked and well presented and thoroughly enjoyed by all, although mum has a small appetite and had to leave about half. As a cook herself and someone unafraid to express her opinion, it’s very high praise indeed when she comments how she has enjoyed what she had eaten. This was the first Monday this pub had opened and they had only got the kitchen running a few days before. If this meal was anything to go on I think they will become very popular as an eatery. As said before, meals are generously sized and very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend a visit here.

Had a really nice hour or so here on a trip to the town. Was made to feel very welcome by the landlady and the locals. By yhe time I left I felt I was leaving something a bit special! Good ales, a memory, an impression of the. town, to last many years
