This was my first visit yesterday ( Friday). It was recommended to me by friends in "city vaults ". Only stayed couple of hours or so for drinks but felt a welcoming atmosphere. Music memorabilia decorates the the walls which is interesting. Spotlessly clean and inviting. Good selection of real ales. Most of all....a lovely welcome and friendly service by a young lady at the bar called Marley( Marlie ? not sure of spelling). Enjoyed my solo visit...felt comfortable and welcome. Will definitely visit again.

Incredible pub with heart staff, they gave recommendations and tasting, poured a “Proper Pint” Guinness and despite not knowing us welcomed as if we were regulars. Absolute must if you stop or stay in Bradford

Decent range of session ales, traditional pub entertainment, dog-friendly & regulars also friendly! Only a short walk from the centre, so worth a few minutes walk for well-kept beer.

Tuesday 19th March 2024 This great old-fashioned once a Tetley house now serves 5 real ale s on. The beers well kept the pub has old fashioned drinking rooms and a good outdoor drinking area at the back of it. The barstaff was very good, and so was clientelle in it today. Well done, all involved Monday 7th October 2024 This great real ale pub is an essential visit 👌 when in Bradford This old-fashioned pub with great owners had today an ample range of hand pumps on The beergarden at the back could easily hold between 300 to 350 people comfortably This pub has got lots going for it

Smashing drinkers pub. Good choice of beers. Had blonde citrusy beer, it was excellent. Gents toilets are the best I've seen in years (my pointer on good pubs). Proper urinals like they have on the continent.

This place has been a brilliant pub ever since I been calling in always get a good pint of hand pulled or Guinness they know how to serve real ales plus lager n cider they look after there customers & make this pub a very friendly n welcoming environment at all times the bar staff are super helpful plus it has an outside sun trap beer garden in summer time you can enjoy a beer while taking in the rays plus the views of the fantastic old buildings that surround the area unfortunately some of been knocked down but please if you are looking for a nice warm friendly boozer plus has horse racing on during the day plus football with so many good views to watch the screen the locals are very friendly as well . This pub has had high standards for such a long time that’s what makes it a good safe place for people to visit you won’t be disappointed.

Great, proper pub. Good real ale choice served with a smile and a chat by lovely staff. Recently paved the outside area which has made a really good addition to the place. Sadly I am leaving Bradford soon so won’t be able to visit again 😩

It's a smashing working class Bradford pub. Friendly and unpretentious. The regulars are friendly as are the good folks behind the bar. We saw foxes out the back too. Recommended!

a regulars pub went there 1 sat they said are taxi was out side it wasn't it was so they could have a lock in with regulars

Brilliant night on June 23rd. Watching football, listening to amazing music and in great company. The landlady was so welcoming. Definitely recommend this pub.

Chill environment for a nice drink at the pub

Since one year this pub is my favourite one in Bradford. Beers are good, staff is nice and it is not so crowded and loud so there is a possibility to just sit, drink and talk.

Very welcoming and friendly pub. Good drink selection. Plenty sports channels. Great music and not too loud. Friendly bar staff. Adorable pub dog called Maisie. Will certainly be calling again soon.

Called in to watch football on a quiet Thursday in January. Friendly and quiet atmosphere with Bt sport and Sky sports. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. I'm looking forward to my next visit.
