My burrito bowl was great - really fast and friendly service. Had no issues.

Decent Wetherspoons, plenty of seating. They do the 'Low Plates, Low Rates' meals so an all-day brunch & unlimited coffee costs £5.45 (March 2025).

Awful cold food, hash browns were overcooked and COLD fried egg was solid, By far THE WORST spoons I have been to across the country.... AVOID!

This is my go to pub in town, a really good range of beers at reasonable prices. The staff are professional and and never leave you waiting long. Usually a good atmosphere in there and full of good normal people.

Hit and miss, especially when busy

Went there for a drink over Christmas and agree with previous comments and found the staff very officious, heavy handed and unhelpful, and probably should not be in a service industry. These people are the reason that I always try to use the app for service, because going to the bar is a very judgemental and cold experience. I was told I had had too much to drink as I was having trouble paying by my phones app at the bar (didn't actually say anything when I ordered though!!) . The staff definitely have a chip on their shoulder. It was a once in a year visit and now I will never set foot in this dump again. You get what you pay for - cheap food and drink = low service standards. Don't bother with this place, there are better places to enjoy a drink!

Brilliant atmosphere if you go there for a meal or breakfast. Fast service, Good quality food and portions. Definitely my local for a meal and drinks. Meet up with friends. Toilets upstairs very clean. Disabled toilet downstairs on ground floor. Parking for a fee behind .

Had eggs benidict yesterday morning tasted lovely but have since come down with food poisoning.

I was told I could not be served anymore alcohol due to reason 1) my friend buying me a glass of water to be sensible and not over do it. 2) they told my autistic friend he looked way worse for wear, he also has a lazy eye which upset him deeply the manager should not of spoke to him this way. The managers actions just lost out on loyal customers. He should not be a manager.

customers definitely make the pub the staff are very argumentative over anything they deem an issue be it by accident or not.

Daughter enjoys coming for breakfast quite alot but came for evening meal this time. Food is good. Service was great Prefer using the app where possible.

The food here is very good value for money and the chief’s always do a fantastic job of cooking the food . They have a good menu to choose from and everything I’ve tried so far has been spot on.

The Lord Caradoc is part of a franchise owned by JDWetherspoons so you can guarantee to have craft ales/ciders and cheap food.

Serve food a little later which is great . One of the better weatherspoons I've been in . Very busy early evening

Dreadful experience ! Ordered the Christmas dinner which came with no gravy. My friend who had same dish had loads of Gravy. When this was brought to the attention of Jess the shift manager she was extremely unhelpful and officious and refused to provide any gravy unless I paid extra for it. As my food was dry and inedible I could not eat it and sent it back for a refund! The family on an adjacent table also had a similar experience with Jess. Will never set foot inside this place again!

I've been to a few Spoons, and this was a great one. The food was quick, hot and decent portions. The drinks, as always, are cheap as chips. The steak was reasonable though a little over cooked for a medium. The Korean chicken noodle bowl was really good - first time I've tried it. The cheesy garlic bread was the best I've ever had in a spoons, loads of cheese. Wed definitely go again if we were in the area which can't be said for some of the Wetherspoons I've been to recently!

Great food and a friendly atmosphere plus a great choice of beers and lager's from around the world. The staff are are always friendly and helpful 🙂 Easy to get there by train or bus and always clean and warm.

Traditional Breakfast this morning, not sure about the oil used to cook the egg which was a little black but didn’t affect the taste. Served up within five minutes of ordering and cheaper than advertised, what’s not to like?

It's a pretty standard Spoons. The food was luke warm but you get what you pay for. The staff were nice but seemed a bit distracted. It wasn't busy (7:30pm on a Sunday). They did put the Scotland game on (Euros Football) which was nice.

The usual from wetherspoons, had steak...not many chips though.... we called in early evening for food after spending a Sunday late afternoon at Aberavon beach. Huge public pay and display carpark to rear....outside seating area and open air smoking area was a tiny yard ... very cramped dull concrete area. Also disabled toilet needs updating and refurbishment.

Nice food but service was not the best I've experienced, I know we all have bad days but wow at least make eye contact with a customer even if you struggle a fake smile and NEVER remove plates from a table without even asking...ARE THESE PLATES FINISHED...the hospitality industry is not for everyone

Nice Spoons, but Port Talbot has definitely seen better days.

Shocking! love this pub, but every friday and Saturday night, I, as are others. Are turned away by doorstaff. Whoever Wetherspoons employs on their doors need to be informed you are open until 1am. As advertised. The door staff are rude, if you question this, they say "no we are closed". Why advertise being open until 1am if in fact you are only open until 11:30pm? Disappointing

Once again I find myself in a Spoons. I seem to repeat myself every time. For the value for money you just cannot go wrong. Food great, staff chatty, well it is Wales, and the pub was clean with a great atmosphere.

Called in for a pint of John Smiths and a coffee. Amazed that I only paid £3.55 for both and that included free refills for the coffee. Very friendly staff, clean and a nice atmosphere. Only downside is the upstairs toilets which my cousin couldn't manage.

Used to be terrible a few years back, now it is definitely one of best places in town to eat if you like to budget. I do like the mixed grills here, not too pricy and always have a good service.

Food is what it is (and what you would expect from a wetherspoons) but would like to highlight really good service from Harry a recent addition to the team on last two occations we've been in. Does not stop working from behind bar to taking meals out and clearing plates away.

Popped in to Port Talbot Wetherspoons and I was surprised with a good service by thr bar staff with quickly made food that arrived. Food was a really good standard 👌 my boy enjoyed the ultimate burger and I had the buttermilk chicken burger. They also have thing slide steak night and curry nights so maybe popping back in again soon.

Very disappointing! Don’t bother wasting your money. Ordered of the Christmas menu but food came out very dry. Asked if we can have more gravy was told no as all in a packet so that’s all the gravy there is. It barely covered the meat let alone anything else. On a plus side the food was tasty and hot but was let down with a label in my dinner yes a sticker saying Friday. Staff came to remove plates from previous customers but didn’t bother wiping table. Not a good experience at all they don’t even come to table to see if all ok with your food just poor from start to finish. Very disappointing

Disgusting! To start with I felt like I was bothering the staff by ordering and asking questions. The attitude was disgusting….I asked for the children’s menu and the reply was ‘isn’t it on there?’ (Main menu) I was then told ‘go look by the sauces’. I had to ask for a cloth with spray to clean the table as it was so dirty and sticky, I was given a cloth to do it myself and not even asked what I needed it for…they couldn’t have cared less! The children’s pancakes were plain and dry with no butter or anything given with them. For the three of us it came to approx £17 which if you go to the beefeater in baglebrook next to the premier inn you can have an all you can eat buffet meal far far nicer that this for £10 and kids eat free for that too! I will never be returning here.

We had a quick bite to eat here with my elderly father. Easy to find a table that was clean. Ordered food and drinks and we didn't have long to wait for the drinks and probably only 10mins for food. Enjoyed

The disabled toilet on the ground floor is left open for everyone to use . The toilet was absolutely revolting there was a strong smell of old stale urine , the toilet floor was covered in urine pools of it and stained brown with never being cleaned . So as a disabled user I was unable to use this vile facility . I informed the bar staff of the state of the toilet who just said oh ok !!! .

Can't go wrong with a Wetherspoon's!
