The London Trader in Hastings

Great seaside place, and great fresh food.

Went here to watch the England Denmark game, got some drinks and sat out front everything seemed fine, then me and my group of mates went in to play a game of pool, and the guy was watching us set up and as soon as we went to play asked us for ID and kicked us out the pub, we missed the first 5 minutes of the England game in the process walking to town centre where I’ll add the Atmosphere was a lot better anyway, never coming back here, you’ve lost a good ten customers.

Decent pub along the Hastings seafront, has a wonderful history being one of the oldest pubs locally. Staff very friendly. Good place to watch sport. Out door seating on pavement. Nice place to stop and relax for a moment with an ice cold beer!

Nice people who happily got xlean water for our dogs when the sun came out.

The atmosphere here is brilliant. I was so lucky to get a table outside next to the heaters. It really made my day before leaving Brighton, central to everything. I need food and shopping . Always handy when you need a pair of scissors to cut a lable off your new clothes. The beer is kept so well, helps with quick turnaround or customer's, the service is quick and efficient. What more can I say? Keep it up, guys

Lovely Pub, lovely staff, the place is always clean, lots of seating available inside and out! There is live music and disco nights. Something for everyone depending on what day/time you visit. They have a wide array of non alcoholic drinks. They have a Juke Box and a pool table, so it is a nice place to hang out. It is conveniently located in the old town, very close to a bus stop.

Shut at 19:30 on a bank holiday. Telling us to F off as the door. Usually this is our go to but felt this is no right or uncalled for.

Out on a Saturday night. Dj was playing people were dancing. Just needs a little bit of a revamp

Didn't rate food only because I didn't try. I had a really great time in the London Trader despite it having changed over the 40 years or so since I last visited. Will definitely be going back soon. And special thanks to barmaid Tania for removing the seafood from under my nose, lol x

Would not go back to this pub ever someone started on us and we got chucked out the landlord a complete joke took the other person's side because he is a regular an utter disgrace should not be running pup.

Great pub friendly staff good for food and a nice cold beer we will be back .

We're only here because the other pubs are shut.

Was quiet when I came but I was able to have a good pint, choose some tracks on the jukebox and play on the games machine

Very disappointed to find that you don't have a ramp for wheelchair access in spite of the notice in the window to say that you have one!! Discrimination??

Nice enough pub in great location. Only popped in for a quick drink on a hot day. Wouldn't choose to stay longer as kids playing on the floor and clientele using foul language unnecessarily. Perhaps we should have sat outside

I waited at the bar for 25 minutes to be served before leaving for not being served, awful experience! Couldn't rate lower...

This pub tends to get very busy and sometimes a bit rowdy.

We decided to go there just for 1 drink after long hike on the hills but instead we stayed for some good 7hs. We felt such a great hospitality especially from their staff. It was absolutely wonderful the entire time - great music selection (we had the chance to pick a few songs), lovely atmosphere & also the prices were good. Dogs are very welcome and if you decide to go with your fury babies they'd be surrounded with plenty of attention & cuddles. My dog Max had been treated like a prince with some nice tasty treats which made his experience extra special. Absolutely top night! We went back the following day after our 2nd hike & stayed for a couple of hours before our trip back to London. It was also pleasant and lovely! Highly recommend to everyone who visit Hastings and St. Leonards.

Very very friendly and fun atmosphere, best staff members, big pub, good music and theres pool. Big outdoors area for when place gets too crowded, close to lots of food places and a cash point. Drinks are great and its even better on a saturday night!

Lovely pub in the old town hastings staff very friendly. in and outside dining at very good prices with a nice cool drink with over head shading outside (children friendly accompanied with an adult) location just across from the seafront. Nice views of east hill there also nice seafood stool & cafe right next door... highly Recommend 5 stars ***** (I Always give a honest trusted review with over 6 million + views on Google)

Old fashion pub. I always use this pub when I get to Hastings because it opens in the morning and the rest only open at midday.

Lovely pub, great staff, reasonable prices for drinks! Had an amazing time there on Friday night with a DJ playing a range of music and had loads of fun dancing the night away!

Good seafront pub with a decent selection of beers and very welcoming. However the pool table was pretty awful, not level and one of the centre pockets was completely out of alignment. Better than the ones in the Arcades though! Extra star if they sorted the table out.

Pool. Drinks. Inside and outside seating. Perfect location for old town. Toilets very small and no light. Looks like main customers are young. Some very friendly regulars. Bar staff polite and helpful. Floors are very sticky and wet. A good stop off but wouldn't stay for evening drinks because of crowd, toilet and floor issues

A good little pub with a friendly atmosphere and they serve a decent pint of Guinness. We were able to sit outside even though it was a cold day because the seats outside are an excellent sun trap!

Can't really fault the pub. Reasonable prices, range of drinks, dance floor and a pool table. Staff are pretty efficient. You get a fair share of idiots go in there on a Saturday night but that isn't the pub's fault!

Great beer, friendly staff (and Bella the dog). Excellent location. Only negative is some locals at end of bar using f... and c... every other word. Bit awkward with young children.

Great pub, friend and clean. Good beer and has the shops attached for seafood ice cream. Great choice right on the seafront.

Staff are friendly, dog friendly too , pub dog 'Baxter 'well behaved !!!!! A bit of a pain having to go elsewhere ( eg. Another business) to order food....but would still return!!!!

Great bar staff, especially Kyle, looks after us all! Good selection of drinks - including cocktails on tap! reasonable prices, great entertainment, nice outdoor seating areas, traditional sticky floor and soggy beer mats - love it !

Packed and very confusing. You don't know if it's normal or table service, you order drink with waiter, then you need to go and order your food with cashier, there are 3 windows and you do t know where to go. Long time waiting for food and not tasty, fat and oily!

Lots of table and chairs outside for outside service only, prompt and polite table service.

Quite noisy but plenty of staff and doormen to sort out any issues, But definitely needs more outside heaters.

One of my go to pubs in Hastings.Staff are always very friendly as are the locals.
