The best Sunday roast!! Great atmosphere, we love coming here!! 5 star ⭐️

Every member of staff was helpful and absolutely lovely, cosy little pub with a great atmosphere. Came for our anniversary dinner got the amazing ribs and onion rings pictured, demolished the lot and I would highly recommend a visit.

Fantastic food, staff friendly and approachable, highly recommend this pub. Will definitely be visiting again soon

Had a wonderful Sunday experience here with the family. Absolutely blown away by the high standard of food, service and friendly atmosphere. Superb Live music whilst we ate and stayed for post drinks.

We went to the London tavern last Sunday with friends for there Sunday roast dinner. Phil and his team were fantastic in all areas. Us 4 adults had the roast dinner 2x dexter beef and 2 x lamb shanks, all were amazing you could not fault the quality of meat and the amount of food we got. The 3 kids had different kids choices which were equally as good. After the meal we stayed to watch the live music which came on around 4ish. We really can't recommend the London tavern enough, everything about it was fantastic. We have also just booked again for mother’s day .

We’ve eaten here quite a few times and I can honestly say it’s some of the best food in the New Forest. However, on a couple of occasions we’ve made the mistake of going here about 4pm when the only people drinking in there are the local tradeys. To say we were made to feel unwelcome might be the biggest understatement of the century. It was like one of those old western movies where you walked in and the world stops to stare. It’s a real shame because the food is unreal.

Really lovely food, the service was brilliant. They had a live band on Saturday evening from 9 pm, which was very good, with a small area to dance. So very good if you want that. It's a little too loud to be able to talk. So, depending on what you want from your evening, it would depend on the day that's best for you to choose for your visit.

Great place very friendly people

Popped in for the first time in many years and in the middle of a downpour I should say. I was only there a couple minutes before the local chaps we’re chatting and having a craic. Loads of shelter for smoking and a well kept clean gaff around. I think I’ll go again and try food

There was live music on very crowded not enough seating, so not really my favourite evening out

Loved how dogs and children were welcome. The hearth reminded me of Cinderella! We will be back some day.

Had Sunday lunch for 7 adults. Staff were 1st class - helpful, friendly and quick. But the annexe was very cold and not welcoming on arrival. Apparently the heating wasn't working - in November! Food was fine but the coffee maker wasn't working. Also, we didn't really like the 2 hour time restrictions. Would have probably stayed longer.

Brilliant night out for the 8 course pork meal. Butcher was very knowledgeable. Chef put on brilliant food. Landlord was funny. Everyone had a great time. Thanks.

Delicious Sunday roast and all the trimmings. Great choice of meats, generous helpings and plenty of vegetables, and simply the best home-made gravy around. Always delivers a delicious meal which can’t be faulted.

Quite simple one of the best pubs I have every had the pleasure to go to. Fantastic food, fantastic beer with a lovely atmosphere. To top it all there is a lovely log fire to sit & while the hours away. Simple the best

I came for a lovely meal with my mumand my girlfriend. We had the sharing grill and the kids fish fingers and chips and it was fantastic. Excellent service and was left stuffed and happy. Would highly recommend

Could be great, read previous reviews so drove up fr Bournemouth, for Sunday lunch. It was busy, friendly staff. However the meat (pork and beef) was tough, two of vegetables were cold and sent back. Good variety of veg, but cold kale and red cabbage wasn't great. Doubt we would return.

Great pub and ambience. Love visiting here and always a good meal. The first half of our experience was great attentive staff, food prompt. After our mains standards did drop.. I can understand as everyone was busy but trying to give constructive feedback. First the waitress gave the desserts spoons and no thing appeared for half hour.. within that time we were asked if we wanted to pay without the bill.. also that we had 15mins to leave table whilst still waiting for deserts. Overall last bit was rushed and spoiled our experience. I still tempted to give 4/5 as no it was busy.. but pub was very cold.. was hoping fire would be on.. i am little critical mainly as was my birthday and wanted a smooth lunch. Still love the pub and hope to visit again

Our family went to The London Tavern for the evening meal with John James singing what a fantastic meal the band were absolutely brilliant I would highly recommend this pub we sat after the meal and played games with the grandchildren and my husband played cribbage with our daughter thank you to the Landlord absolutely made our weekend 💕x

We love the tavern. There's always something going on such as music, meat draws, quiz nights etcetc. They do some beautiful dishes too, ranging from the classics to some tapas dishes.

I was treated to a fabulous birthday roast dinner with my family on Sunday. We had roast beef and lamb. The food was amazing! The meat was so tender, my lamb fell of the bone. There was a great mix of vegetables and lots of them, I love the separate dishes of veg and delicious cauliflower cheese. The service was fantastic, waiters were attentive and friendly. After our food friends joined us for birthday drinks it was a really lovely place to enjoy my birthday, thank you to all staff you really made my day enjoyable and special

On a visit to the area from Cornwall we enjoyed Roast Sunday lunch at The London Tavern.We were impressed by the available menu which included locally sourced meat, accompanied by roasted vegetables. Excellent range of beers.Timothy Taylors and Solarwave enjoyed by some of our group. In the afternoon there was live music in the beer garden.When we visited Richie Quain , guitarist entertained with a laid back repertoire.

Really nice Sunday roast dinner.

First time visiting this pub as we were in the area and I’m so glad we came across it. The staff were lovely the wine was great and the food was fantastic. I had a rib eye steak and it was cooked perfectly and husband had the lamb which he said was delicious this was followed by sticky toffee pudding which was really nice. Couldn’t fault it.

Great Sunday lunch. The service was exceptional, staff all very attentive and nothing too much trouble. The food was great, tasty and plentiful. There was live music on when we were there, which we weren’t expecting but it was banging. The place was buzzing and we had a great time.

Went for lunch as had never been there before. The lunch was amazing and the staff were very friendly and exceptionally helpful. My husband and I usually have a different meal and then share, he had a Brie and Bacon Baguette with fries, salad and Cranberry Sauce, I had the rack of Ribs, which was huge and the best meatiest ribs ever, with fries, corn on the cob, coleslaw, salad (which was fresh and dressed, a big bonus in my book). Both meals were made with good quality ingredients and well presented. Good beer too, we will certainly return.

3 different roasts, all equally impressed us! Pork, Chicken and Nut Roast with loads of very freshly cooked, mixed vegetables, gravy, stuffing, Yorkshires and sauces!

Tip top visit. Last minute booking for 10 people. Everyone enjoyed all their meals which were cooked to perfection. Meals all came out together which was a great act. All had clean plates. Steak and burgers delicious. Staff welcome and very accommodating. Food very reasonably priced. Will visit again when in the area.

We went to the Tavern for my Birthday, and couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome! We took advantage of the Meat & Great Friday night option, and were blown away by the amount and quality of the food that arrived at our table!...

Amazing food, we went on a Friday for the ‘meat and greet’…the steak was cooked to perfection and the ribs were melt in the mouth. I loved the atmosphere and the staff could not of been more attentive. Lovely bottle of wine and the cheesecake...

The picture of the roast on the website looks amazing. The meat is pink in the middle and crisp and caramelized on the outside. Don't be fooled. Our meat was the same bland colour and texture all the way through. The roast potatoes were soft...

Most menu options were unavailable, mashed potatoes had to be replaced with chips with a lamb dinner; most beers were also off and it was only 7pm on a Wednesday. Had to settle for a chicken burger and chips all of which was clearly bought...

We have driven past this pub before but didn't get a chance to go in. We were looking for a sunday lunch spot whilst on holiday and the reviews seemed good. Wow, we were blown away! Love the atmosphere and the pub aesthetic. Staff were lovely and the food....wow! Roast pork and chicken were amazing, everything was delicious. Also, a little random, the gravy was magnificent. Some pubs serve gravy water with their roasts but it was rich and delicious. Our 4 year old needed to bale so no dessert but we are so impressed we will try to come back later in the week to try out the weekday menu.

What a refreshing experience, not only do the guys at The London Tavern serve great food but the service is impeccable ; efficient and friendly. With a table of 10 for a mid week lunch, keeping all of us happy is no mean feat !

A team lunch for 10 can be challenging to arrange - but The London Tavern have a great menu, well cooked food and an efficient friendly team to help the event go smoothly. We will certainly be back!

Food was very very good, with more than large portions, the live entertainment on that day was OK. Parking is a nightmare on site. Best park opposite in the surgery car park with a very short walk to the pub.

Spent Father's Day here for a late lunch with a party of 8, superb meal, good selection of wines, lagers, and ale. Fantastic atmosphere and a great singer too. This was mine and my wife first visit but will be back.

Booked a table on Thursday night for the four of us,not realizing it was quiz night.Anyway,the food was fantastic,the staff very helpful and friendly and it was all top value.Decided to do the quiz too.Lots of fun.Would definitely go again.

Wow!! What can I say, this pub is amazing!!! My partner & I were on holiday locally & we originally planned to eat at another nearby pub but (luckily!) they didn’t have a chef as really didn’t have a great atmosphere when we stopped for...

Wow. Could just leave it there with wow to be honest! What a meal! My partner and I were originally planning to go to a differnt pub a litrle while away, but thank God we didn't! The London Tavern was amazing. The second we walked in I fell in love. Wonderful atmosphere lovely staff, great drinks selection and nice hapoy locals. Walking in a hearing laughter and feeling warm is an instant winner. Ontop of that a wonderful covered garden with lights and heaters. Top notch! Onto the food... Just to start, the waitress kinda laughed when I ordered all our food... And it was a challenge to finish the massive portions hahaha but it was heaven in every mouth full from start to finish. Halloumi fried and squid rings to start, soft, tender, crispy on the outside and piping hot in the middle. Absolute magic! We were recommended to go for the Rubs by a lovely local and his pup Luna, my word, was thw size of half a pig, succulent smokey, loads of bbq sauce. Just wonderful! And real challenge to finish but we battled through! Dessert... If you don't have the sticky toffee pudding and almost cry at every bite how good it is... Then you're dead inside! Indulgent doesn't even begin to cover it. We left with lighter wallets and stomachs so full I don't need to eat for a week. Again I'm so so happy our first choice let us down as this place really made our little trip away. Real hidden gem. To all the staff how we saw on our trip, you are a true credit to your team and to the hospitality industry! Keep those smiles and magic personalities! You guy and your venue are amazing! Lovely local pub with fantastic food. Service was excellent and food arrived within 15 minutes of ordering. Alcohol selection was also good. Would highly recommend.

Had a very enjoyable experience here this afternoon with a couple or old school mates. Excellent service from the two ladies behind the bars from start to Finnish. The beer garden had a quiet and enjoyable atmosphere, especially with the weather we've had today! The food we all ordered was amazing, the cheese and Bacon burger gets a 10/10 from me. My friends had the chicken burger and beyond meat burger and were equally satisfied. If your ever in the area or want a nice place and setting to eat in the New forest I'd definitely stop by this place.

An amazing little Gem of a real traditional pub that serves wonderful food, we were very well looked after by some very friendly staff, an excellent choice of ales and ciders on tap, wonderful tasty food and what more could you want!!

I went here with friends and had a very pleasant meal. For starter I had the Mac and cheese as well as trying a bao bun. The Mac and cheese was very indulgent with a generous portion and the pulled beef in the bao bun was delicious, the the bun itself a bit over cooked. I had venison for main and was well impressed with the amount that was served, it was also cooked well and with a tasty chum churri sauce. The servers were friendly but were shifting furniture around and left the door open to do so for a considerable time, making the restaurant cold, which wasn't ideal.
