Popped in for a late lunch after a nice walk around Bingley St Ives, as I'd seen it was a dog-friendly place and it was close to where we parked. Got a warm welcome... and god biscuit with our drinks, so off to a great start. Nice menu with my husband being pleased that breakfast continues until 3pm! We were helpfully told when we came to order that after a busy day there were a number of things sold out but what we ordered wasn't a problem. Then came the bad news for hungry tums - a 30 minute wait but we'd had such good service so far and the place smelt worth the wait. Sure enough, almost to the minute our food arrived 30 minutes later, but in that time we'd watched the cafe's team working hard and efficiently in the kitchen without a moment's break, while keeping customers well served and tables clear- no mean feat over two floors. Our food was lovely and hot, well presented, tasty and good value for money - the offer of hot water to refresh our teapots a nice touch. The mouth-watering looking steak sandwiches we saw flying past in quick succession are defintitely on our hit list for our next visit!

Had a fabulous breakfast here this morning..The best we've had locally. Family treat for Mother's day instead of a busy Sunday. Excellent food, generous helpings, really pleasant staff and a lovely atmosphere. Our first visit but we'll definitely return. Thank you to everyone

What a lovely place to eat and be welcomed by all the staff. We found this place a few months ago and have been coming back more often as the food and the service are both excellent. It’s dog friendly and we’ve been taken our cocker spaniel here and they’ve given her so much fuss and even given her treats . We love it. The breakfasts are amazing. Piping hot. Beans in a separate dish which never happens in other places. Eggs cooked to perfection. Coffee is lovely. But the most important thing is the friendliness of the staff. Keep up the good work. We’ve told our friends and family about this little place in the middle of Bingley.

We had been intending to come here, having received excellent comments from relatives. We were not disappointed! As it was fairly close to closing time, we just had a tasty snack. We received a very warm welcome from the staff. There is a varied menu and we hope to return soon for a bigger meal.

I stayed in Bingley visiting family and had breakfast at The Loft. It really was the best breakfast I have had for a number of years. The staff were lovely. I was suitably impressed and will return when I next visit Bingley.

What a lovely place! Very welcoming staff, delicious food and lovely Italian coffee. All cakes are homemade. I’ll will be back. :)

Decided to visit The Loft as a treat one Thursday evening with my colleague after a long day at work. I’m glad we did. We ordered the loaded tortilla chips with chilli and it was delicious! We ordered it to share as we’d seen the people on the next table doing the same, and there was plenty. We finished with a gorgeous chocolate and orange cheesecake. It wasn’t normally served with pouring cream but when I mentioned it I was told it wasn’t a problem at all, and it came served with some. The cafe was almost full whilst we were there, but our food was served quite quickly considering it’s all freshly made, so we were happy about that as we were hungry. All the staff looked very efficient and were really friendly. Will definitely go back for more as the menu, although not extensive, looked really nice and there’s a specials board too.

Lovely breakfast, food was hot and nice portions , nice atmosphere upstairs and lovely staff, Nancy that served us was lovely.

We haven’t been before as we aren’t based in Bingley; we had a couple of options but I’m glad we chose this one! The food was nice (we had breakfast), they had lots of options (including veggie and gluten free), the interior was really cool and the staff super friendly. We felt really looked after :) We will definitely visit again

Out visiting the locks with my daughter we popped in for a scone on our way. The were very friendly and the scones were lovely, we’ll definitely go back next time we are in the area.

Lovely little cafe. We sat on the first floor, a beautiful room with beams and a mural on the main wall. I grabbed a cushion from the window seat for my chairs, how comfy this was !! We called for coffee and decided on a slice of strawberry and meringue cheesecake too. The coffee was the best ever, latte I sometimes find is bitter, like at the famous coffee places. The coffee here is just perfect! The cheesecake was to die for, oh my, I’ve never tasted anything so heavenly !!The staff were great, the young girl serving was really lovely, friendly and efficient. Attended to all our needs ! I chatted to the owner about the gorgeous cheesecake and promised we would be back for sure !! Well worth a visit

Wife and I had an evening meal on Friday - great food, great service and the best cheesecake I’ve had in ages. Then our son and his friend arrived home earlier than expected and needed feeding - no problem. Come in, sit down, 2 steaks later all done. Superb

My 17 year old daughter treated me to lunch yesterday at The Loft cafe. I have been frequenting here since it opened. I have to say it is the best cafe in. I glee by far. John and Sadie and their team are diamonds and always try to please their customers with exciting new dishes. Tyler served us and she was such a polite and welcoming person. She was highly professional and keen to give us good service.she did mention that it had been super busy that day, she did not appear fazed by that. Her attention to detail was tremendous. We will certainly be returning soon. I believe people travel far and wide to sample John’s fabulous food, service and welcoming ambience. X

I found the loft by chance walking past in bingley, where I saw a sign on the tables for the new loft evenings which are from 5-8 three days a week, so I thought I’d give it a try. The food was magnificent the chicken with rice, broccoli and a white wine sauce was delicious, and the sauce was very flavoursome; I tipped the whole jug on my plate, it was beautiful and very good value for 7.95 for the main course. For dessert I had a cheesecake which was chocolate orange flavoured that was also very tasty. The staff and owner were friendly and helpful and very attentive hosts which made the visit a very pleasant experience and I felt at home. I would definitely recommend to anyone to try the new evening menu, it has a good range of choices and is good value for money. I will definitely be back soon!

Its been a long time. Lockdown deprived me of my Loft treat.I only wanted a bacon and mushroom sandwich for breakfast not a full breakfast. Superb. As always . Then i saw next table with a breakfast panini and wondered why I hadn't chosen that . How i missed this wonderful cafe. How I missed the lovely staff who are interchangeable because they are so friendly and brighten the day. One word of caution, as I eavesdropped the telephone calls, You definitely need to book now at peak times with the covid socially distanced restrictions. Lunchtimes alway have been busy. But of course it is so worth it.Then of course there are so many baked treats on the counter when you pay. I walked out with a beautiful Eccles cake and a cherry scone...... for later

Such a warm and friendly welcome even though we got there 30 minutes before closing time and there were 7 of us. It was one of those days where things didn’t actually go to plan as we planned to be there at 12.30Hand sanitiser at the entrance, NHS track and trace cards to fill in, spotlessly clean and extra sanitiser bottles all around the cafe. The lovely waitress apologised that she couldn’t sit us together but would put us as near to each other as she could. To be honest we were just pleased we could still get in . Menus were already out on the tables . Drinks order taken immediately and despatched downstairs quickly followed by our food order. Our waitress said it could be 20 minutes for our food but it came in 10. I was concerned about the 2pm closing time but was told to just relax and enjoy the food which we did. Fabulous food, fantastic staff , such lovely smiles and very chatty, complimented our 5 year old grandson on his lovely manners. It’s not our first visit and it never fails to come above and beyond our expectations.

I clean windows early once a month in Bingley and I'm starving by 08:30 so always stop here for my breakfast. Great choice of food, always cooked cooked to order, staff really look after you and they are very safety minded.They do daily specials at very reasonable prices.A great family run business well worth a visit.

Due to mobility issues we had a table in the small area downstairs, I cannot comment on the atmosphere upstairs. My husband had an appointment in the nearby hospital so we decided to treat ourselves to a nice breakfast afterwards. I searched social media and chose the Loft as the menu offered both a full breakfast and a good range of alternatives at reasonable prices. I contacted them as booking was recommended, saying 10.30 to be safe. We finished early so arrived at 10.00 when it has just opened so has the choice of the 3 or 4 tables downstairs, the majority of the space filled by the kitchen. We ordered a full english and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. The coffee came promptly, though I would have liked the option of a cafetierre, soon followed by freshly cooked food. It was excellent, couldnt fault either meal. It was obvious the food was sourced and of good quality. Within the next 15 minutes the place was filling up, with several takeaway orders and soon it was a 20minute wait for food, even with 4 staff busy, not surprised though no-one seemed to mind. Nitpicky comment - due to the present situation, we were asked to give name and contact details on a small piece of paper - just wondered what happened to it, how securely its being kept and if it will be destroyed after 2 weeks? No issue giving it, just being cautious.

Came here with my teenage daughter on a breakfast date, and we loved it! Lovely surroundings, lovely staff that were all cheerful and couldn't do enough... and the best breakfast I've had in a long time.. Very reasonably priced too.. full breakfast for £6.50... couldn't rate this place enough.

Discovered The Loft by chance - what a happy chance. The Loft is a nice building; but what made it so special was not just the excellent food, but the staff themselves - their worth was genuine, to a fake warmth; the welcome was real; the food and service were top class, andI shall most definitely be returning

We stayed in Bingley for 4 days and enjoyed a different breakfast every day. All excellent and good value. Nice to start the day well and on Sunday treated ourselves to the full on breakfast, recommended for travelling as no stop for lunch needed.Good local cafe and popular

I go into The Loft often and always appreciate the food and service. The staff are very helpful and made a sandwich to suit my grandson. The scones which are homemade are delicious. I especially like the date and walnut one. Would recommend anyone visiting Bingley to go to The Loft.

Been here a few times with my friend. Had various meals - jackets potatoes, bacon Brie and cranberry on focaccia bread with salad and crisps. Also had steak and onion sandwich again on focaccia bread so so tasty

Can't recommend enough, I've been weekly for years. There's always a warm and welcoming atmosphere, food is fantastic and the staff are great.

About as friendly as any place I have ever been. What a lovely cozy little cafe. Food was wonderful and nothing is too difficult. They only take cash so come prepared, or if not, a cash point is next door. Staff are attentive and friendly. Highly recommend

I called in to The Loft following a pleasant walk around St Ives Estate. I ordered a cappuccino and an almond slice which I really enjoyed. I was impressed by the warm, friendly welcome from Sadie and her staff. Highly recommended I will definitely return.

I visited the loft for breakfast and l still rate it not just the best breakfast in bingley but the best in Yorkshire. Service was fantastic lovely young girl served us was so pleasant also the rest of the were very friendly. Great experience quality of food was exceptional. I would recommend the loft cafe and l would definitely be returning.

This place is absolutely great nice little cafe with great polite staff, food is amazing only eaten the breakfasts here but no need to eat anything else when there that great! Reasonable price and quick service. Just bang on tbh

I have eaten in the Loft on very many occasions. The food is very good and the selection is wide ranging. My daughter and I are vegetarian and so we are a little limited in choice. However, the mozzarella paninis are superb. The ambience is always good and the staff are exceptional. I would highly recommend anyone visiting our little town, to give this place a try. You will not be disappointed.

Despite its small size the owner has also managed to cram sizable amount of character in this cafe, the art and homely feel combined with freindly the staff provide a small respite on a cold February weekday the food is solid as well as the beverages, despite out order being delayed due to a larger table order nearby, we was offered complimentary drinks and apology, reserving a table is greatly advised to avoid awkwardly hunting a seat

I’ve eaten breakfasts at the loft on many occasions and I’ve never been disappointed. The food is always first class and the service is second to none, so I’m not entirely sure if the people leaving poor reviews have been mistaken about where they have eaten. You will not find a better breakfast anywhere in the Bingley area.

Popped in to,pick up a coffee. Lovely helpful staff and fresh latte made quickly. Good and hot too. The food looked amazing and the place was thriving. Been for food before and very good. This place deserves to do well

Tried a breakfast here about a month ago and it was just OK and the coffee tasted like it was from a vending machine, I recently bought some Bacon sandwiches which again were Ok but not great. It's not somewhere I would recommend and don't think I'd be in a rush to try again. On the plus side the staff were very friendly and efficient and the cafe looks cosy. Just to be clear there wasn't anything wrong with the food but I've had better breakfasts.

The Loft is a stalwart of Bingley, very popular and not hard to see why. The service is really good and from their soups to club sandwiches on wonderful focaccia and generous breakfasts, thumbs up really...Good to sit upstairs by the window and let the world go by. Fab cafe. Fab staff.

Called in today with my husband, after telling him how great it was. Oh dear that was a mistake. After getting a table straight away we looked at the menu and ordered our food and drinks. Tea and a capuccino duly arrived, so far so good. Nearly twenty five minutes later we had to ask about our lunch,after seeing quite a lot of orders going up stairs.we were informed it was all made to order, i knew that already, any way it miraculously appeared. It was lovely but my husband said he would'nt go again.

This is a great cafe. We visited recently- had delicious veggie breakfasts. Good coffee, friendly staff.

Our usual lunch spot was brilliant yet again. Staff are always very friendly and despite always being busy you never have a long wait for service or food. The reservation of tables does become rather annoying but you can get a table most of the time. Just seems a shame when there's empty tables and people being turned away.

As always food is freshly made and delicious. I especially like that children can choose from the menu and have it in a smaller portion including drinks as mine never finish a large one. The date and walnut scones are amazing too.

So I've been to this cafe a few times and each time it's been lovely. The staff are friendly, the food is great and the prices are very reasonable. The breakfasts are always a top choice and so is the rest of the lunch menu. Would highly recommend to everyone!

I've been coming to this cafe for years either with friends, colleagues or sometimes by myself and never been disappointed by the standard of the food. It's a friendly cafe on the main street so if you are by yourself its one of those places where you don't feel awkward wandering in as the staff are pretty friendly and accommodating.

I came to bradford ahead of the opening game of the football season and i noticed a cafe know as the loft. The staff was very welcoming and great table sevice and very well mannered well done. The food was well pressented and very filling no room for dessert! Once again well done to all the staff

I have been to the loft many times for breakfast or lunch. The food is always good and the staff are friendly and polite. I am sure that if there was anything that wasn't quite right they would try and put it right and make sure you were happy.

Just passing and was attracted by the smell of fresh coffee and bacon cooking. Had poached egg on toast with bacon and a nice large fresh coffee. Just the job before golf. Mmmm

We popped into The loft last week for a quick breakfast and it was really good. We sat upstairs and a nice friendly waitress was with us more or less straight away to take our order. There were three of us and two had the full breakfast and I just had scrambled egg on delicious thick brown toast. With hot drinks the bill came to £22 which I didn't think was bad at all.

Met with my niece for breakfast on a Sunday morning and was surprised how busy it was! Easy to park outside though at this time.

I went here this morning for a coffee for myself and a hot chocolate for my partner, what a mistake that was, the coffee and hot chocolate wasnt even warm, the coffee cup was only half full and the hot chocolate and coffee both had to be thrown away they tasted that vile, the only positive was the staff, they was polite, i do suggest that they train staff when there are no customers about, as this may of been part of the problem.

After a wander around the shops on a sunny Saturday morning we called at The Loft for a coffee and snack.

My wife and son visited last week and said it was the best steak sandwich ever. Took my son and his friend for lunch again today - have to say, he was right! Great friendly service, great food.

First time visiting here today and have to say its one of the nicest cafes ive eaten in. Loved the veggie breakfast!! The place was busy but our order arrived really quickly and staff were lovely and helpful. Good selection on offer and prices very reasonable. Will definitely eat here again when visiting

We popped in here while walking around Bingley . We had a cooked breakfast - very nice. Very cheap and portion size is good.

Ended up in this café when in Bingley for the music festival and the campsite wouldn't allow camping stoves! It had been raining and we were in our muddy wellies but were welcomed in. The lady in charge was very friendly advising us that they were very busy (it was around 11am on a Sunday morning) but that she would bring us our hot drinks straight away and then it would be about 30 mins wait for food. We didn't mind as nice to be in the warm and sitting down. We ordered the full English breakfast which was very reasonably priced at just under £6 and in the end it came in 15 mins. It was lovely and hot, you could tell everything had been freshly cooked and it was a very generous size with both toast and hash browns as well as sausages, thick bacon, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes and egg. The whole experience from the friendly efficient staff to the great food really lifted our mood after a wet night in a tent. We were sat downstairs but there is also an upstairs area which has sofas and comfy chairs and looked like a great place for an afternoon coffee and catch up with friends.

Regularly come back to The Loft with my Godfather when I'm back in Bingley. Always a nice range of freshly prepared bits on offer; particularly good for brunch! Nice toast and beautiful bacon! Friendly staff who are happy to accommodate dietary requests. Will be returning to support this local business.

Just been for a full english breakfast. After a 30 minutes wait, it arrived fried greasy sausage watery tomatoes nothing nice about the breakfast. Will not be returning to this place again.

After strolling through the realm of Bingley, I came a across a small little cafe. In this cafe I was served straight away with amazing service. The waitresses' were delightful and welcoming with smiles on each of their faces, I ordered the "wow hot chocolate" this was an amazing value for money! I will definitely be back another time to order some food! we were also giving complimentary scones! yum !!!

The cooked breakfast is the best thing to get from here. However all the food is good. It is so cheap for the portion size as well. They could easily charge £2 more than what they do.

We have visited the loft plenty of times,why,because it is always a good meal.If the place is busy you might have to wait a while for the food,but you are always told this by the staff.The specials board is a good idea,and they make their own foccacia bread for the sandwiches which is delicious,all the food is freshly prepared,and I have practically tried everything on the menu.

We go to the loft quite a bit for breakfasts and they are awesome! If you are feeling healthy they do great smoothies and if you have a hangover then indulge in their full breakfasts (veggie too).

Went there for lunch today, good food as always. Been here a few times now, definitely one on Bingleys better eateries. Was surprised at how busy it was on a Wednesday lunchtime but we got our food quick enough. Been for breakfast a few times as well and that is quite good, a bit cramped for space though with the kids as well

Called here again and had latte and toasted fruit teacakes. Prompt friendly service as always. Handy to pop in if your shopping on Main Street Bingley. Would recommend and will call again.

Ordered soup and a sandwich and was dismayed that the soup was only lukewarm, the sandwich I had opted for was Roast ham and cheese, but the ham was not very tasty and the cheese was grated which is not a good idea as it falls out as you are trying to eat it. I have a loyalty card from here but even tho my friend and I had 2 drinks each and it was my turn to pay I was told that you only get a loyalty stamp PER visit which it does not state on the card, it says per hot drink ! I don't think I will be going here again as I felt cheated ! Although the café is wheelchair accessible the toilets are upstairs so it is not wheelchair friendly

We came here for the second time a couple of Sundays ago. We thoroughly enjoyed our last visit and so made a detour to come here for lunch. We sat upstairs and drooled over the specials board. Upon ordering we were told no no no we only do breakfasts on a Sunday. No offer to see if anything could be done, there were plenty of staff in the kitchen, so we got up and left. We weren't the only ones. The poor child that was being exploited as a waitress was simply too young to have the knowledge to deal with it.

Called in here a few times for a latte and a scone. The staff are very welcoming, the place is clean and the scones are to die for ! Lots of Bingley folk in here so that speaks for itself !

Have been visiting The Loft for quite some time,usually for a takeaway coffee,but often to take the kids for breakfast or for a cake and a milkshake.We always have super service and every request (I have a very fussy 10 year old!) is met with a smile and a "no problem". Nothing is too much trouble. And John's homemade scones are to die for!

Having been let down by lavinias earlier we tried the loft. Good food ordered specific breakfast and it was delivered (slimming world). Service ok but kids really still good and attentive. Had a good enjoyable experience. Will definitely go back. See my revel of lavinias

Called in for first time Wednesday 13/2016, and got a very pleasant surprise, food was brilliant staff very helpful, all the baking, cakes bread are home made, also there all day breakfast,are brilliant upstairs very comfy clean toilets very good will go again.

Always great food and staff are friendly. I can always preorder food and staff are alway quick to change my order if it's ever taken wrong. However, this is extremely rare in occasion. Hot breaded chicken sandwich is fab, would defiantly recommend this cafe.

Visited here with my wife and 3 year old daughter. A great little cafe, with more seats upstairs so don't leave if you think it's too busy. There's a kids menu which is very good value and even better, the waitress brought the kids food first which doesn't always happen but makes a big difference to our enjoyment of a visit. Our food was great and all very good value. Will definitely be back.

My wife and I were there yesterday. It was a cold day but it was nice and warm inside - perhaps the staff take their customer reviews seriously, as they responded very quickly if people didn't close the door properly after themselves. There is always a cosy and welcoming ambiance. The menu gives a good range of choice, service is prompt and friendly, the food is nicely presented and really delicious. The portion sizes are more than ample. I had the warm Chinese chicken, bacon and brie salad and I would thoroughly recommend that - but everything I've had there has been lovely.

This was our first visit to The Loft in Bingley, on the recommendation of a friend. It's a lot bigger than it looks when you peer in from the street, with a large upstairs section (I guess that's where the name comes from).

Popped in for a coffee with the family. Five of us. The staff were happy to put two tables together which was great. Coffee nice but the warm and friendly service from the staff was better. Thank you.

This place is a real gem. The service is friendly and professional. The food is gorgeous I ordered a sandwich made with home made focaccia which was delicious. The accompanying salad was fresh and dressed in a lovely dressing and the fries were hot and fresh. We sat upstairs which is a nice cosy place to be.

Went for lunch today with my parents, brother and daughter. From the minute we arrived we felt really welcome, the blonde lady was so friendly and exceptionally good with my little one. We all ordered different meals and all agreed our meals were perfect, my jacket potato was the best I've had with a lovely salad and homemade coleslaw. Everything was fresh and homemade. I can't wait to return!
