The Lodge Aintree in Liverpool

The Lodge when it opened was great for a meal now, not good food and bad service. We had very simple lunches and it took about r5 minutes to prepare basic sandwiches.

Nos detuvimos en para almorzar la decoración era preciosa y estaba limpia. Pedimos un perro caliente y envoltura del menú del almuerzo de precio de £5. 95 cada uno. Cuando los recibí era bastante normal el perro caliente era similar al de una lata en un panecillo brioche con cebolla crujiente y salsa de tomate. La envoltura era de pollo a la parrilla, con lechuga, ambas comidas venía con patatas fritas en vez de patatas fritas (solicitado) que eran salados y hierbas, sabroso! Sin embargo, las patatas fritas parecían ser pre-comprado congelados. Se pruebe el menú de noche ya que no había nada malo con las comidas sólo discutible la pena el 6 libras no volvería para almorzar.

3rd visit here and the food is amazing! Takes longer than your average microwave establishment but well worth it as it is all freshly cooked. Will be returning soon.

visited a couple of times with the family and my children, to watch footy and have a Sunday roast, the food was great and the staff where very friendly and helpful.

Brilliant well cooked and loads on the plate too. Breakfasts are a must, great range and fills you for the day, which is what you want reallySo friendly warm staff and a nice atmosphere.The place is so well designed and decorated too, clean and spacious. Fancy a nice meal and live local, defo recommended

Visited with friends for a night out. Staff were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was fresh and tasty and there was lots to choose from. Lovely cocktails too! Great place and I look forward to visiting again soon.

Bien, habiendo leído la mayoría de comentarios positivos y estar localmente fuimos un domingo por la tarde. Miramos el menú me dijeron 10 minutos después que el menú no estaba disponible hoy en día. Era un menú de desayuno y aperitivos. Había otra pareja allí y les dieron I. arriba y a la izquierda antes de ordenar. Deberíamos tenerlos seguido. Calentado desayunos nadando en petróleo y otros platos lame hizo una mala experiencia. La señora que estaba atendiendo era lo suficientemente agradable, pero es como un glorificado cuchara grasienta. Hacía frío allí como únicos clientes tenía cero ambiente. Es sucio y sombrío y no volveremos o recomendar. Este lugar necesita de su partido de su su futuro.

Great break menu, little bit different and reasonable. Means I haven’t gotta go to town for a decent scran now.

Food is to die for, and the staff are great can't wait for next time, staff was knowledge about the food and recameding the food and the desert are to die for

Enjoyed the food but menu is very small and after a few visits struggled for something different ,enjoyed the quiz night and food of very good standard but very quiet. Wish it had more atmosphere as nice place.

Went for breakfast today at 10.30am only customers in there tables not set. Pancakes awful we had asked for honey and fruit but fruit never came however when it did it was sour mushed berries which my daughter did not eat. Eggs were black on bottom, sausages burnt and all very greasy with cold toast. Toilets sanitary bins overflowing and toilets smelt of smoke not very clean at all. Coffee decent but hot chocolate was served minus marshmallows as they had none. Complete waste of money won't be returning.

The staff were really friendly and very attentive. There was live music and the breakfast was really good. Thanks to Gemma for looking after us so well.

The place was fairly empty, but it still took 10 minutes for the waiter to take our drinks order, then a further 20 for our drinks to arrive (3 teas, 2 coffees and a lemonade - not complicated). The drinks were also premade (with milk and sugar), which we thought was a bit strange.

Been driving past thinking ill try here one day, so glad i did. It was about 12:15. They had a lunch menu for 5.95 and breakfast was still being served. The food was lovely. Generous portions and very tatsty. Staff were lovely as well. Very happy and will be returning.

Came here with my dad for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. The pancakes were lovely an HUGE! I could only finish one! Gunna get Nutella ones next time! My dad loved his breakfast. Need to come here for dinner too the menu looks lovely! The staff were really nice too the man behind the bar was really nice and friendly. Looking forward to coming back again!!!

Went to the lodge for a family party last Saturday, out of 4 toilets in the ladies only 1 was working so some of us had to use the gents.....not good! The lager was off so we had to buy bottles. I didn't taste the food so I can't comment on that but considering this party was booked you would think the lodge would of got these problems sorted. Won't be going back and would advise other people not to bother.

Had an amazing meal here last night. Waited a little longer than normal for food but it was definitely worth it due to it all being fresh and not microwave rubbish. Highly recommend and it's better to support a local business rather than a chain.

Decided to go out on the last min for our dinner. Place is lovely inside. Loved it. Was hardly anyone in there but soon enough people filtered in. Had the Sunday roast, can only say was gorgeous. Had to leave a lot because they give you so much. Staff were lovely too. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely decor, fantastic food and really helpful and welcoming staff! Definitely be back. They also have great live music!

Went for breakfast. Only customers in there but we were told there would be a 30-40 min wait, due to Just Eat orders. We said ok and ordered drinks. The milk was floaty in the tea, but was swapped which is fine. We then waited an hour for our food and 1 order was missed. After waiting an hour, 1 of us had to go get food elsewhere as they were not willing to wait any longer. The food was average and over £7 for a breakfast which had 1 sausage, 1 bacon & 1 toast. My daughter had 3 pancakes which were £6.45 and she didn't eat any, said they tasted burnt. When we complained we just got told sorry. Nothing off our order, no gesture to apologise for the wait. We all left still hungry. £45 for probably the worst breakfast experience going. Plus we got overcharged then under changed, which we had to point out.

Have been in a few times for a drink and think it's a lovely place to go for a couple on a Friday night. We went in for breakfast for the first time this weekend and it was really nice. Everything was cooked fresh and you could definitely taste the quality! Worth paying that little bit extra for. Am all for supporting local businesses and my husband and I are really glad to have somewhere nice to eat and drink in walking distance from our house! I hope it sticks around for a while!

When opened many of us locals were excited by the idea of more bars and restaurants opening here instead of the many beauty salons, takeaways and e-cigarette shops already littering The Vale.

Full English breakfast was lovely but they did run out of a couple of things (hash browns, ground coffee beans). However, I think this place is a welcome addition to Walton Vale! Lovely setting and friendly staff. We've visited before for a drink and will do again. Interesting to see what the evening meals are like.

Went in for a family meal this evening and the food was a lower standard than a weatherspoons, by the time the last few few meals came out the first meals had been eaten! There was only 7 of us! I would recommend staying away from here even with the 50% off it was VERY disappointing to say the least.

Newly refurbished restaurant with very friendly, welcoming staff. Great choice of beers, ciders, wines. Simple menu, really delicious food. Had scouse served with bread, butter, beetroot, cabbage plus a very large fish served with homemade chips, 2 beers and 1 wine for £25. Food great but clientele a bit suspect (put this down to the great weather bringing out the nutters)

Lovely atmosphere, staff are friendly and welcoming. Ross and Molly have done a wonderful job! Food is great and I recommend the hot chocolates. Thank you, will definitely be back soon.

Me and the girlfriend went down for a breakfast. We got the the hunters one. Omg possibly in fact definitely the best breakfast ever. Wasn't grease just full of flavour. The staff were so friendly. I would recommend this to anyone. Oh don't be put of by the price. At first glance £7 odd for a breakfast seems a lot. But the flavour and meat and just everything about the plate was perfect.

Hunters breakfast was amazing!!! Best breakfast Ive eaten in a long time. Staff are lovely, friendly and very inviting. Definitely somewhere i will come again for breakfast! Well worth the money!

We visited The Lodge today for breakfast and it was exceptional! I would definitely return and would recommend anyone thinking of going - go! It's wonderful! The decor is beautiful and the staff are lovely.

Came here last night and had the best time not only was the food great but the staff were really friendly and welcoming. This is now my favourite place to eat, will deffo be recommending to friends :)

I've visited the lodge a few times since it has opened and it truly is a hidden gem. Gorgeous interior with ice cold beers and a lovely selection of top quality food! A must visit...something totally different for the area! I will be back!

Been the Lodge a few times and every time has been an enjoyable experience ,the staff are very helpful and the food has been lovely ,would definitely recommend it for a nice chilled meal .

I've been a few times now since it opened and have nothing but good things to say about the place! Friendly staff, amazing food, great choice of drinks, decor finished to a high standard. Its always clean and tidy and you're made to feel so welcome! About time the area had a nice place to eat and drink and its just an added bonus that the prices are reasonable too! Would highly recommend!

Plan was a couple of drinks with friends then head to town, ended up staying all night and having a meal too! Great atmosphere, lovely food, fab live music! Friendly staff.

Came here with family after my friend recommended it to me and we were not disappointed at all! When we ordered food, all of us had plenty to choose from (1 being vegetarian) and it was quick to come out- starters and then the waitress asked if we were ready for mains and they came out as soon as we said yes .. I had the best mac and cheese I've ever had in my life and the steak looked amazing.. (massive chunk of it!!) everything was creative and delicious ! The staff were all very friendly and I felt very welcome. It was quite busy when we went (Friday night) and it was a nice atmosphere as there were other families and couples in. I can't wait to go back and will tell everyone to go there as it is a hidden gem.

Both great food and great service. A wonderful variety of food and drinks to choose from. Staff are friendly and an overall wonderful atmosphere. Will definitely be going again!

What a beautiful Setting and welcome addition to the area. I have ate here twice now having wraps and fries both times. How could I not have those chips with that gorgeous herb coating mmm mmm. Such a good choice of drinks too. Hope this place just gets busier and busier. I will deffo be returning! Well Done on the opening

Popped in on Saturday evening for a drink and a quick bite. Have to say we weren't that impressed. Thought the decor was ok but it didn't look finished and the paint work shoddy. There were also boxes everywhere.

Friendly staff & atmosphere. Freshly cooked food which is affordable,varied menu. Great selection of spirits, liquors & beers. Open & airy. Had lunch, evening meal & tapas style nibbles, will have to make it for a breakfast, its the only one we havent tried :) Will suite all types of groups, be it family, friends or couples..Give it a go!

Went to The Lodge for a night out with friends. There was a great range of drinks, the staff were really friendly and there was live music on which gave the place a great atmosphere. We'll definitely be visiting again soon.

Great food and service. It's about time this area had somewhere nice to go. Can't fault the place at all.
