The Lobster Pot in Liverpool

Fish batter was not crunchy it was thick and soggy. Chips are chips and definitely overpriced. Didnt eat it all. Would not advise the place.

Very average food we chose to eat upstairs in an unused dining room I had chilli chicken and chips the chips were good the chicken not so , it wasn’t in a dry batter as you may expect but in a non chilli tasting sauce , probably to keep it moist and last longer in the huge serving bowls , one of my friends had a rather bland looking curry and rice ,

Absolutely disgusting. I ordered a Kabab . The smell of the grease was unreal. It was cooked for drunken idiots . But sober people could smell the fishy dirty grease never again

Sometimes this chippy can be good but it let me be abit of a let down with there food and some staff are sound but some are not so good but this can be a good chippy tbh

Ordered fish cake chips peas and gravy. Ate it on way way back up to lime street and was almost there by the time I realised they had not put my fish cake in 😡 Nothing I could do about it without missing my train. So annoying.

All I want for my F&C is for them to be hot & crispy. Check. What I didn't expect was the amount of chips dropped in my box. Wow-enough to feed a large family of illegal aliens!

Despite a busy day, the staff at Lobster Pot were impressive. They worked hard and stayed focused, delivering great service without missing a beat. Their dedication really stood out and made for an enjoyable experience. Highly recommended!

Food overall was okay however I ordered a battered mars bar and when I bit into it, it had nuts in. Might have ran out of mars bars and replaced it with another chocolate bar but if I had been allergic to nuts would have been a bad night.

Pub and bar hopping around this part of the city my twin brother and I decided to drop into The Lobster Pot ,in my opinion the best chippy in Liverpool City Centre. I like the look of this chippy ,set over two floors ,downstairs is the serving area while upstairs is were you eat ,its neat and tidy, great decor and furnishings, lovely wall art, its a cool chippy indeed. We got chips with curry and went upstairs, absolutely delicious, so tasty ,so filling, just what we needed to set us up for a few hours ,its not surprising that this chippy is so popular with meals this good. We really enjoyed our chips in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to The Lobster Pot we had a great time. The Lobster Pot is easy to locate along Whitechapel, well worth checking out if you're in the area.

Got a donor burger tonight and the bun fell apart, so stale it was awful, disgusting n dry, shocking. Should not serve stale bread, lazy and out of order, cheapskates

We had fish and chips. £11 for large portion was really good quantity wise. Taste wad good too. We got piping fried hot fish. Outside was crunchy and soft inside. Staff were good and professional. Good place for takeaway.

First meal in Liverpool. Was late night, was going to go to McDonald's, but saw this place, so thought why not. ordered salt and pepper chicken, with half chips half rice, large, 6.5GBP. very generous portion, enough for 2. dish is pre-cpre-cooked but tastes good enough. Staff very friendly as well and generous with sauces.

Good service, very quick. Good quality of food (in our case fish and chips strictly). Very busy place, at our visit it was spotless clean, both: tables and floor. The dining area is on the first floor after a few stairs and a fire door. It might can be difficult for some to go there (not sure if a lift is in place). The dining area was spotless clean, spacious, with a unique view from the windows- great place for people watching while enjoying the food. Food was piping hot, tasty, fresh. Lovely place for locals and tourists/ visitors too. I loved it and when you’re around visit it and enjoy a little food.

DRUNK KABAB - I had a delicious drunken KABAB here for £7. Definitely recommend!

A good looking chippy ,interior is light and airy, glass counters showcase the goodies on offer and there's plenty of seating options spread this chippy upstairs plus outside seating looking out onto the busy and bustling Whitechapel. We ordered curry & chips ,service was quick, we sat upstairs were we munched away on our delicious chippy meal which were as always delicious. We really enjoyed our chippy meal in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. The Lobster Pot is easy to locate along Whitechapel. Open from 11am Monday to Sunday and we'll worth seekers out if you're in the area.

lovely chips, no Haggis replaced with sausage which is never a substitute for haggis.

2 hours waiting for food, was partially cold, missing quiet of bit of order, not very good when your paying for stuff you don't get, not a happy customer

It was around the festive season, so people were in a good mood. Bit of a queue, but it's worth the wait.

Practically the only place in Liverpool that takes cash, other than witherspoons. I ordered Fish Chips and curry sauce. The staff were very polite and professional.

Absolutely disgusting, I ordered a small fish chips mushy peas, and a can of Rio, it come to £10.60, the fish was rock hard, Like i t had been there all day , the chips was the same, they had been reheated, 🤮 my friend got a kabab the pita was that hard she could of flung it like a frisbee, never again lobster 🦞 pot

The girl serving was very friendly and a credit to the place. The food was nice enough. The prices are a little expensive, the only reason stopping it from 4 stars.

The Lobster Pot on Whitechapel is a really popular fish and chip shop that offers well priced meals and was an ideal place for a quick meal. The Lobster Pot has a nice interior with an excellent first floor seating area and when we visited here that is where we sat.On our visit we had a large portion of chip's with a curry sauce which were very tasty and well priced. We've been to the Lobster Pot lot's of times over the years and we've have never had a bad experience in here.On every occasion our meals have always been spot on.If you are looking for a quick well priced meal or snack and your in this area of the city give this place a try you won't be disappointed. This would probably be absolutely banging food if its 2am and you're smashed off your face. Unfortunately, it was 10pm, not 2am and I was stone cold sober. Do not recommend!

I ordered this at 12:39 and it never turned up at 14:40 until I contacted Justeat to find out where it was. With my order being so late, everything was cold.

Truly awful. Ordered a large fish & chip meal. The fish was more like a children’s portion size and tasted like it had been cooked about six hours previously. Chips were ok, but I would never ever eat from there again. Rip off.

This lobster pot looked and tasted cheap as like on the just eat Website but had a different lobster pot p I was just browsing for fish and believed it was the same one did not notice the cheap food till I had ordered and looked through it. The prices were the same so I was told. I have not tasted cheap food in a very long time so I am expecting a gippy tummy now.

The chips and fish were good but the batter on the sausage was undercooked and was completely stuck to the wrapping paper. I’m not sure I’d order from them again based on this experience

Absolutely disgusting! Been 3 times and it's got worse every single time. This time though, oh my God. The female staff members attitude was absolutely vile, asked for rice, apparently there was none then the man working there gave it to my friend who was after me, her tone and everything about her was very rude. If you don't want to work there then don't work there! The sausages were like pure brine, there was absolutely no meat in it what so ever. Ended up paying about £10 for 2 large fake sausages and chips absolutely disgusting. We're in Liverpool not London mate get a grip, or at least charge accordingly to the quality of the rubbish you're selling. No idea how it's still open tbh.

Have visited on many occasions. It was empty upstairs but it was about 2:30 but some services have stopped up there. I do like the seating as many chippies don't have seating facilities.

Shocking!!! Went there to get get some food on the way home from town..... We weren't even drunk. They tried ripping us off , saying that we hadn't paid. Beware! Used to be a friendly place, staff really rude and dodgy.

The foods are too salty and oily And the size of fish is too small,although we ordered the large size and paid that price. Such a terrible experience. The box was full of salt.

As always great food and service but take care if paying by card as my receipt on Friday had my card number in full. No asterisks at all and is the reason four 4stars.

Uvnitř podnik nepůsobí moc příjemně, většina jídel je hotová a jen se nahřívá ve výloze. Porce Fish and chips byla obrovská! Stačila by i pro dvě osoby, ale ryba byla mdlá a bez chuti, tudíž to pro nás bylo zklamání.

Ordered a nice simple chips and sausage, they went to give me old brown chips so asked for a fresh portion. Served me the food so off I went, opened up and they had forgot the sausage so another trip back to get sorted. Chips where overcooked, some pretty burnt. Sausage was OK.

Food was good after a night on the town

Awful. 2 portions of salt and pepper chicken which would expect to be crispy chicken but the chicken was gooey and covered in some sort of sauce but that looked like clear goo and had no flavour. Battered sausages completely soggy looked like it was just wrapped in a pancake. Asked for salad and kebab and that came with none and was dry as a bone. Usually don’t write reviews but for what we paid for all meals to be binned is annoying

£7.20 for a chip balm and a sausage 🤣🤣 scandalous. Avoid at all costs. No smile when they’re robbing you neither ! Far better chippys about so swerve here

Ordered chicken and chips with garlic mayo. The guy who served me was polite but nothing about the meal was particularly nice. Chicken didn't taste fresh and was greasy.

A must everytime I visit Liverpool. Their BBQ sauce chicken is superb.

Burger, Chips (Chippy chips not fries) and a drink for £3.50!!! My go to on my lunch. You won't find anything like that for that price nowadays. Also there's a seating area upstairs I only found out about few days ago. Worth a stop.
