The Little Leigh Store and Cafe has great coffee, croissants and cakes and a good selection of food and drink on the shelves. It is a very pleasant place to enjoy in the company of family and friends.

Cherries Abbet Farm, Church Street, AbbotsburyWe had a lovely lunch there. The decor is pretty the service friendly and the food very tasty. The drinks however were very expensive. £4.50 for a pot of tea and £4 for a coffee! The coffee was quite weak, which was a shame.

29 High East StreetIf you're ever in Dorchester, go here. Beautifully cooked food, not overpriced at all and very welcoming. Quality cafes like this are few and far between. We wished we lived nearer.

Chard StreetVillage run shop/cafe. Has all the basics and a lot more besides, a small gift area, local artists paintings, Saturday morning egg and bacon baps, quality seasonal local produce. A very friendly atmosphere like the village shops of 50 or so years ago. Well worth a visit!
