This was our first visit to The Little Kitchen with our dog. We were made to feel so welcome and decided to sit outside at the rear of the cafe. My husband and I both ordered the large breakfast, a pot of tea for 1 and a mocha. We also asked for a sausage for our dog. Our breakfasts arrived with a cut up sausage for our dog. One of the ladies stayed with us and happily fed our dog his sausage treat. He loved all of the fuss and the sausage too! Our food was delicious! The service was excellent! We will be back again soon.

Wonderful catering service from Donna and the team, who provided the catering for my mother in law's funeral. The spread was plentiful, high quality and looked gorgeous. It was exactly what we wanted, with a slick delivery (everything was set up ready to go on our arrival). We especially loved the cheeses, roast meat and crudités.

We had the Little Kitchen cater for a family birthday this weekend and it was simply amazing! Donne turned up 2 hours before our event a created a beautiful grazing table - over the moon with the result!!!

We visited on a busy Saturday morning with our 4 year old nephew, we all had a great breakfast. All of the staff were friendly and efficient with good service provided. Great menu selection and adapted for the little one. He absolutely loved the play in the garden on the big bouncy slide and trampoline thanks to Donna. A great little find we will definitely be back.

Called in for a breakfast, it was Mother’s Day so fully booked except the side of the bar. The coffee is brilliantly prepared and the breakfast was spot on and came in reasonable time given how busy it was. Will go back when in the area.

This place the first time I have came to the little kitchen in little Eaton the food is well presented and well cooked and really really tasty for people who haven’t been to the little kitchen yet I advise you go there and try the food out there drinks and food look and taste amazing great breakfast and the staff are really kind and respectful

Had a fabulous afternoon tea with friends. The staff were very friendly and made you feel welcome. The food was plentiful and fresh. Cream scones were delicious. Definitely need to wear an elasticated waistband if having an afternoon tea.

We went for breakfast this morning. Fabulous food. Best breakfast I've had for a long time! The ladies serving us were lovely. Both of them were really polite and quick to serve us. Definitely one added to the list to return to!

We popped into the Little Kitchen just before 4pm on Thurs 22nd Feb to grab two take-out sandwiches. I have been there many times and always found the staff to be pleasant and the food pretty good. As we entered, the girl behind the counter looked at us with uncertainty and had to check with her superior as to whether she could serve us. Bare in mind that this was more than a half hour before closing and we had already said we didn’t need a table - just a couple of sandwiches. The woman who she asked rolled her eyes, didn’t even give us eye-contact and said, “yes fine.” Her tone and body language was extremely rude. We turned away and said we would go elsewhere. They said nothing in response to this. The worst customer service I have experienced in recent years. Maybe they should remove the big illuminated ‘OPEN’ sign from above their door at 4pm to avoid us irritating customers wanting to spend our money within that last half hour. Luckily the sandwiches from the butcher over the road are much better and we were greeted with welcome smiles.

Despite every table being full, and there being 2 other people waiting at the counter the staff were happy, polite and efficient. It was clearly busy and full of happy people. I waited less than 5 mins for a delicious sausage cob and a perfect cuppa. I will be back!!

Best breakfast in the areas hands down. The food is cooked to perfection, the atmosphere is friendly and it’s great value for money. Super popular so always book. Also the cakes are fantastic if you want a piece to takeaway for later. We’ve tried a lot of breakfast spots but we won’t go anywhere else now.

A wonderful venue, amazing food and drink and super helpful and friendly staff. Had a fabulous time catching up with friends in a relaxed atmosphere and enjoying the best afternoon tea, an amazing selection of both savoury and sweet treats. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning.

Little Kitchen provided catering for my father's funeral. They provided a personal and compassionate service which was as generous as the amazing spread of food. It was quite a large affair with around 300 attending, but no way of knowing how many would stay or...

Cosy little place, Very good customer service but disappointing breakfast. Visited with my partner, Ordered two large full English breakfasts. One of them was okay the other very far from…Hash browns and bacon cremated, sausages and mushrooms on the other hand severely underdone.

We had a lovely birthday party in Victoria Leisure Centre , food was served by The Little Kitchen . Girls did a great job- table was served nicely and food was great. Kids enjoyed. You always get a warm and friendly welcome at the Little Kitchen. Great selection of cakes to have with a coffee and as it was a nice day decided to sit outside at the back, what a lovely area to relax in.

Visited on a miserable rainy day but as soon as we entered there was a warm and friendly atmosphere. Service was quick and excellent and when it arrived the food was generously portioned and well presented. Just disappointed we were too full for cake!!

We have just had the most incredible breakfast. There were 6 of us. 4 of us had a full cooked breakfast, one had pancakes and one had an omelette. Each dish was amazing. Beautiful produce used and it was all freshly cooked. We had our food served very quickly considering there was 6 of us and there were 3 different dishes. Visited with a friend for a mid morning snack and coffee. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The food presentation was beautiful and tasted wonderful. Good sized portions too. We both left with a take-away slice of cake for later which was massive and tasted absolutely gorgeous! Will definitely be visiting The Little Kitchen again and recommending it to my family and friends.

My son had his party at Victoria Park Leisure Centre today and Louise from Little Kitchen did an incredible buffet for my son and all of his friends. All the food was absolutely delicious and presented beautifully. Also included was a delicious personalised birthday cake. Lots of compliments were given from the party go-ers and their parents. Including one parent who was asking me about prices etc, I think she might be booking a party in the near future! I was so impressed with the service and also Louise decorated the room to, which I was not expecting so she went above and beyond, thankyou so much xx

We were so impressed by our visit for dinner and drinks on Saturday night, this is a lovely little gem run by passionate local people providing quality offering. Booking a table was easy and the atmosphere was really warm and welcoming :-) the menu is a delight, with lovely home cooked food and the Moussaka and Goulash were superb, really hearty portions and high quality food. Really like the decor, its different, individual and quirky with a real local touch. Fabulous selection of drinks including local beers, and the service was absolutely brill. Lovely people who made us feel really at home and cant recommend the place enough. We were so full after gorgeous meals that we couldnt try the amazing cake trolley! Cant wait to come back, would highly recommend :-)

We called on spec at 11.00 for a late breakfast and altough it was busy we managed to get a table in the middle of the cafe. We ordered tea, a flat white and two breakfast baps and all were excellent and value-for-money. Highly recommended.

Wow. What a gem of a place. Dropped in on the off chance for breakfast and although they were busy they were able to get us a table.It’s not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. I had the large full English and it was large (see photo) locally sourced meats and good helping of beans etc. so well worth the money.I would recommend booking if you would like to visit. Between 1000 and 1200 is their busiest time.

Saturday the 8th of January 2020 was our first visit to the little kitchen but will not be our last! The moment we walked through the door we were met with a warm welcoming atmosphere, the staff and the owners were very friendly and chatty and couldn’t do enough to make us feel welcome . Great start to the evening. Myself and my partner ordered a stone baked pizza , moussaka and a side of dirty fries. Wow ! The food was amazing . My partner Jayne said that the moussaka was the best she had ever had , huge compliment to the chef. 10 out of 10 for this place and we cannot wait to return , hugely recommend this place . Lastly to just a little mention of thanks to the owner for pointing me in the direction of the fallout ipa beer, it was a great beer. Thanks for a great experience, Mark and Jayne.

What an absolute gem of a place this is, absolutely stunning food (and lots of it!) Lovely atmosphere too.The owners and staff went out of their way to make everyone welcome. Great service thank you all.We ordered the pigs in blankets and a quiche with salad which when it came it was on a plate as big as a tea tray! Lots of fresh salad and a big wedge of quiche.It was our first visit, but it won't be our last for sure.

Me and my husband came for some food on Saturday night (2nd October) . The service was amazing. The food was beautiful, I had a chicken burger. Both women who served us were very helpful and the customer service was outstanding, the gentleman in the kitchen was very friendly too. I will definitely be back

Popped in for breakfast on way home to Scotland with my family and grand daughter. Breakfast was excellent at £8 for massive portion. Beautifully cooked, very little fat on the plate. Service was excellent. Socially distancing has obviously been well considered with the amount of outside spaces. Well done on that.All I can say is if you are in the area, worth stopping for the quality of both the staff and the food. Well done guys.

How decadent was that? Going out for breakfast on a wet Friday morning. Three had a full English (and introduced grandson from the south to black pudding) and I had a great omelette. There seemed to be lots of staff who were super-attentive. Lovely atmosphere. No wonder it's popular :)

Just had the most amazing Cream Tea at the Little Kichen. The platter of sandwiches and quiche was garnished beautifully . They were so fresh & tasty. Then the most fantastic platter of cream scones was brought to the table. Can honestly say they tasted as incredible as they looked. Took the biggest box of sandwiches and scones home. Well Done …. We will be back for more x

The service is 5* and especially Wendy and Sarah, they never stop to put a smile on the customers face, had a great laugh with them both this morning “picking Alexa up and speaking to it like it was the phone”. We called in The Little Kitchen for a snack on our way back from Derby, and so pleased we did, we had a sandwich which was served with salad and crisps, and couldn't resist a slice of chocolate cake and couldn't believe the size of portion served, I have never seen a portion so large, and it was very tasty..Our tea was served in lovely China cups and teapot, what a refreshing change.We were served by lovely staff, especially Amy, who was so friendly and helpful..We will definitely call again.

Visited yesterday with friends for lunch. Would thoroughly recommend. The staff were excellent, friendly and attentive. Plenty of choice on the menu. I opted for eggs royale ... Perfectly cooked poached eggs and a generous serving of smoked salmon and hollandaise sauce. My friends went for the 3 egg omelette and beef steak roll which they also enjoyed. We sat outside at the front, there is also seating inside and out at the back. Table checked more than once which was nice. Felt very relaxed. The cakes are a sight to see! Would thoroughly recommend and will be returning most definitely.

The best night I've had in a very long time! What an absolute little gem of a place! We had been for breakfast here and thought it was amazing but then lockdown hit. We booked tonight for an evening meal and it exceeded our expectations to say the least! We thought we'd just have food and leave but got swept up in the amazing live music and good quality drinks so didnt order food until last minute but that wasnt a problem for them. We didn't feel rushed to leave and the rules around Covid were simple and clear. The place is so tastefully decorated and super quaint. All the staff were extremely welcoming, attentive and a real good laugh (which can't be said for a lot of places!). Now for the food - I'm trying to lose abit of timber so I ordered a salad but, oh my lord, was it beautiful!!! Well I did have dirty fries on the side and they were heaven! My partner had a kebab that he said was so fresh and delicious - apparently better than I'll ever cook . I actually felt emotional being there - I felt like part of a family who want you to be there and want you to come back. Massive well done Little Kitchen - you've done yourselves proud and you've come out of this pandemic stronger and better than ever!! We'll be back, would you have guessed...

Had a breakfast but was very disappointed Egg was very badly cooked and looked inedible Sausage was undercooked Food looked like it had been slopped on your plate Outside at the back was not very nice I have eaten cobs before and enjoyed them but eating a breakfast was a different story I think it’s the worst place I’ve been to Also long winded ordering I don’t know since lockdown if someone else is now doing the food but a shambles Eat at the pip tree at Borrowash for a opposite experience

Was out walking this morning and called in at the little kitchen, had a lovely breakfast mine was a vegitarian breakfast, was a very good selection on my plate even a piece of chopped up advacardo, we both really enjoyed our meal, also a large pot of tea for 2, price was very reasonable and staff was very efficient, we've walked past on a Sunday and it always looks busy, after our meal today I can see why, thankyou to all staff at the little kitchen. X

First visit to the little kitchen and it didn't disappoint, we had a large breakfast each and it was well worth the money, so much really tasty food we couldn't eat it all, every staff member was so friendly and polite, nothing was too much trouble, highly recommend

We ordered some sharing platters for my mother-in-law’s wake , which they delivered to the venue and where there waiting for our arrival. The platters where amazing and full of quality ingredients . We also ordered some vegetarian and vegan boxes which was also great quality. Thanks for a great service it was very much appreciated at this sad time .

My friend and I called in for lunch as we were both off work this week on holiday, we hadn’t booked as I had read on Facebook they were just taking drop ins.I had heard so many nice things about this place and thought I can’t wait to go , we got to the front and waited for staff to let us know if there was a table free ,staff very rude and said have you booked I explained no as I had read it was just drop ins, the staff member a young girl went and spoke to someone in the cafe we were seated on a half moon shape seat with no table to eat lunch off???? There were 3 free tables!! Eventually someone came and took our order menu very disappointing mostly breakfast very few lunch items. we waited for our lunch to come the waitress went and got us a tiny stool to put our plate on, still 3 empty tables we asked the young waitress about the tables no answer? We struggled to eat the lunch on our laps, and when they finally came and gave us the bill we asked about the 3 empty tables and why we couldn’t of sat at one of them and the young waitress shrugged her shoulders and never answered , this was our first time at the cafe and it will definitely be the last after this experience, it was cold ,we had to ask for a blanket and very disappointing service.

2nd visit , even in these times of restrictions we both love this place, sitting outdoors lovely heaters if needed, so friendly and great food!!

We have had afternoon teas from here many times, they never disappoint always top quality and presentation is fantastic. Friendly and welcoming staff, you couldn’t ask for more.

Had a lovely afternoon here yesterday. The garden set up was warm and cosy, blankets at hand but with the amazing outdoor heating we didn’t need them.Food from the grill was great, really succulent and well presented.Finished off with coffee and cake, delicious Thanks to the team, all very friendly.

What can't fault this place, rite from ordering to collection these boxes freshly made and absolutely delicious. Bit of salad baby toms would have been nice but to was top notch and highly recommended and would order again.

Mother's day afternoon tea. Having collected 2 of these for my mum and mother in law, they looked absolutely delicious. Both of them have eaten them and said they were fabulous . Definitely would recommend trying this place if you haven't already.

We’ve used The Little Kitchen before lockdown for gorgeous breakfasts, lunches, bistro evenings and pizzas and throughout lockdown for takeaway paninis, roast dinners and afternoon teas and found every aspect of it outstanding. Food - excellentService - excellentHygiene - excellent Staff - excellentAn absolute gem of a place for wonderful food and great service. Nothing is ever too much trouble. If you can’t see it on the menu, they’ll create it for you. Support local and pop in and see for yourself!

Collected my afternoon tea and cake box this morning to deliver to my mum as it’s her 85th birthday today... I can’t express enough how amazing they were. First time of ordering from here but will defo be back and once we can visit and sit indoors we will definitely be back. Thank you to making my mum so happy

Visited the little kitchen just before the third lockdown , staff were very friendly and the food was sensational , good drink prices , would highly recommend it’s a must visit if your in the area.

We went here before the second lock down for dinner. As soon as we were given a table it felt as though we were intruding in someone's living room as it seems the owners and their family just sit around in there which makes the whole experience feel odd and unexpected. The worst part is that the toilet is one word DISGUSTING. Seems as though they don't have a cleaner or bother cleaning themselves, the toilet which is shared is outdated, rusty and mouldy. Not to mention its rignt next to the cooking and seating area. The worst part is the fact that they keep HIGH CHAIRS in the toilet room?! Extremely unhygienic and unacceptable. The food is a mix of fresh and frozen and some things are nice while others are obviously not made fresh. I wouldn't recommend this place along with the strange people that work there and the extremely high prices. They need to have a good clean and sort the dirty toilet out.

If you don’t want much change out of a £20 for 1 breakfast & coffee then this is the place to go. Nothing amazing

After visiting the Little Kitchen I will certainly be visiting again. Me and my partner visited after a trip to town and was delighted by the reception we recieved, with the current climate we live in. Was welcomed by a lovely lady who was wearing a mask and kept her distance, showed us to a table and was left for a few moments to choose from the menu, food was superb, I had a beautiful panini and my partner a full english breakfast. On leaving to pay our bill we witnessed the waitress sanitizing the tables and chairs. I will definitely be returning when able. Thankyou for the great service, food and making us feel safe!!! 5*
