Lovely little pub...from Scotland

Great little micropub! Very friendly owners with a warm welcome. Nice selection of ales and ciders. 5 taps and countless barrels out the back. Reasonable prices. Didn’t put a rating for food as it’s bar snacks only. Definitely recommend if in the area. All local breweries and a wide choice to suit any tastes.

My regular haunt and absolutely my favourite pub - fantastic friendly micro-pub with great beer and good company - nearly always 5 different real ales (NOT expensive!), with a good variety for everyone whether you like dark, pale or brown ales. Also plenty of ciders and wines and a variety of other drinks. Always a pleasure to visit - I'd rate 6 stars if it was available. Note they don't do food since it's a tiny place, but there are plenty of snacks (Hence why my review doesn't include a food rating - If you're hungry there are a few food places within 20 yards). The place has recently been taken on by new owners and they are very friendly and dedicated to keeping the place with the same atmosphere. I only have one complaint, and that is that once I've settled in and had a few beers, I find it very hard to leave!

I came here for flat ciders and really enjoyed it. Little micropub located on the left side of the High street as you walk up. They had 9 flat ciders on, went with the Saxby's one as that is a local one from literally 4 miles away !. Friendly owner and locals, £4 for a cider which is pretty good. Deffo worth a visit, I will be back

Only food is crisps, peanuts etc..but the are sourcing from small independent producers

Called in for a couple of drinks on the 24th of February and loved the place. Unfortunately, only visiting otherwise we would be regulars

Lovely little real ale bar, good beer, friendly staff and you can't help but join in any conversations going on with the locals! Talked Cobblers (literally) and Evertons demise! Not sure why we didn't stay for more beer, next time

One of the best small pubs I've been to in years. Cracking beer and cider choice and the friendliest staff and customers you could wish for. I love that kind of place where you can walk in and feel like a regular in 5 minutes. Pubs like this are a dying thing and should be seriously encouraged. Well done

What a fantastic tiny pub it is! My favourite pub in Wellingborough by a long way. The only place you can go to get a really good local pint of ale with really friendly people and fantastic service in a lovely atmosphere. Don’t expect a nightclub!

Beer consistently well kept and the friendliest reception in town.

A lovely place for Ale and other drinks. The best part is at the back as we sat next to the kegs and a staff is there pouring it. The landlords are friendly and welcoming, the landlady was lovely . Iswellwortha visit if you are walking the Waendel Walk or just visiting the town. I was with a group and we were warming up to our 25km X 2 days ....prices are good and you will want to try the fresh made ciders and Ales.

What a fabulous pub. Small but very warm and welcoming. First time visitor and the landlady and landlord made me feel like a regular. 5 pumps with an ever changing selection. They focus on traditional beers and regularly have 1 or 2 dark beers - porters or stouts some of which are strong. No music (except occasional live musician) no tv, just beer and chat. Also a good selection of gins, whisky and ciders too. Having tried the competition, they are also worthy winners of the CAMRA Wellingborough Town Pub of the Year. The rest came nowhere near to this gem.

Lovely and friendly is The Little Ale House. Regulars are friendly as are the Landlords Tracie and Alan. It clean and the atmosphere is great.

Amazing places for top quality beers and atmosphere

Small but rather well formed. A range of ales to choose from and one lager too for those who enjoy it. Gins and whisky too. A few seats available but it's only small so very intimate. Very friendly atmosphere, decent prices....well worth a visit.

Popped into this place as it looked interesting as we walked past. Great friendly welcome as we entered. Small place but got a seat in the naughty corner. Good range of interesting drinks. Would highly recommend if you are passing.

Lovely little pub small capacity but 500x the character. Wide selection of beers and spirits and a lager for the unconverted. Also as someone who has been drinking in Manchester for years now, very good prices.

Normally I would give this micro pub a 4 star rating, but I drank here during the current long heat wave in the UK and was served a pint of warm ale, which I didn't enjoy at all. It was not off, just served warm. I know real ale is not supposed to be served chilled but should be around 10 degrees C. My pint was probably about 15. The casks are on a stillage behind the bar and it was so warm the front door had to be kept open, but a cooling system should be used in these situations. On the same evening I had a pint of ale served at a perfect temperature in the Little R'Ale house, the olther micro pub in Wellingboroug, and they have their casks on a stillage behind the bar too. Sorry, but I won't be returning until to cooler weather!
