Very good food with microwave clams but the "tarugan" waiter doesn't understand anything. I asked him for a dessert and he brought me green and faria

My husband and I had a quick stop here following a recommendation from a friend. We felt very welcome upon entering, the atmosphere was great, the team was welcoming and accommodating. We had great starters and our main course was also very good. I was too tired to eat but I did take away mine and it was still very lovely. If I'm ever in the area again I would go back to this restaurant.

We had a great night celebrating my parents' 40th wedding anniversary, both food and service was impeccable. We shared the mezze for starters, perfect selection. Had the grilled salmon, stuffed vine leaves, iskender and lamb chops for mains. They were all big and beautiful portions, I couldn't finish mine but was offered to take the rest home. The waitress was lovely and super kind. I found the complimentary starter and dessert a nice touch, everything was absolutely delicious. Thank you, we'll be back for sure!

What a lovely, tasty, satisfying meal with great service with it. The consistent quality and quantity is second to none, with the staff very helpful as usual. We don't think of having Chinese, Indian, or Pizza anymore:) Thank you for coming to Wellingborough.

Niwan restaurant has absolutely fantastic authentic food cooked in full view of patrons by the owner family. The atmosphere is brilliant ..... warm friendly and very attentive. The portions are extremely generous and great value for money. Children are very welcome and fussed over. Excellent venue for both intimate and family events. Nothing is too much trouble for the lovely staff. Highly recommend.

Amazing cold mezze, pide (with egg) and vegetarian main with rice, salad and sides. Great vegetarian options - you might want to tell them if you are veggie if you don't want taramasalata. Order on their website rather than just eat and get it cheaper. Delivered on time, delicious and nutritious. Thank you 😊

Amazing find. I highly recommend. The fact that there was so much on the menu for me, being gluten intolerant, was mind blowing! The staff were more than happy to help with checking of ingredients etc. Big portions, and delicious. I think I've found my new favourite place 😍

Staff mixed up a booking for two party celebrations, staff need to learn how to deal with customer service, they were extremely rude ! To customers for the problem that the staff caused! Chef cooked great food but people in our party will not be returning to see rest of the staff behaviour so rude deliberate banging into customers cheers whilst eating their food, we didn't stop to have dessert. Just paid the bill in full They didn't even say thank you for coming! The chef was the only one who kept apologizing shame on the rest of the staff!

We booked online, to be told on our arrival that there were no tables, the reason given was that it was our fault for booking to late! They should not of taken the booking then surely... very disappointing and not good customer service at all.

Went on a weekday for an anniversary dinner. Food was great, the service was okay but we didn't leave a tip so we didn't receive a thank you and goodbye. We spent over £120 dining with them so we thought it was rude. Perhaps we should have tipped but I was under the impression it was optional.

Such a surprise to find an excellent restaurant serving lovely vegetsrian options. Good anbiance and friendly service.

The food was simply stunning, and the service was pretty great too. We were welcomed in, and offered a choice of 2 tables, which was a nice touch. After being seated we were then given a drinks list to view and order from. After ordering the drinks we were presented with a delicious and giant puffball bread, served with what I can only guess was a form of Sumac onions, I say "guess" because the host wasn't giving away any secrets to me on this visit, however he promised to enlighten me on my return visit. Then came the main course, where every meal was cooked perfectly, and as silly as it sounds so was the rice. This was my first time having Cheesy Lamb Kas, and I will thoroughly and highly recommend it, both the guys I was with shared the same thoughts about their own meals the Mixed Grill and Cheesy Chicken Saute. Everything was delicious. Staff is really good. We had try some cold starters and main king prawns and lamb chops really enjoy it.

I actually felt like I was back in Turkey 🇹🇷 when I visited this magnificent restaurant in Wellingborough. Great friendly atmosphere Turkish Food is definitely ON POINT!! reasonably prices we ordered a set meal for two @ £26 pp. When the food came there was enough food to feed an extra 3 people easily 🤗. We ended up taking the rest back home with us.

Deliciously healthy food! Went with our 3 boys and each one of us loved our food - from starter to the main.. Great atmosphere and professionally friendly staff.

The cold Meze was low tier and mixed grill was lacking shish especially for 26£ per person. Older waiter was moody and not very welcoming but kitchen staff seemed lovely.

We went here for Christmas dinner and all we can say is wow! We were fed like kings and queens! Amazing customer service and the best food we have ever had in our lives!! We visited this restaurant as a small family group & were seated at the rear of the restaurant which was noisy & rather less attractive than the main area of the restaurant. Staff greeting us at the door and the three serving us were not exactly welcoming or friendly & we didn't see a smile all night, just sarcasm passing as humour from an older gentleman, whose manner bordered on aggressive. The picture menu was varied. With starters £6-£8, with main courses £16- £21. We had a balloon bread & some awful redish, watery, onion relish/dip accompaniment. The food was pleasant enough but boring & not particularly aromatic or flavousome as we have experienced in many Turkish restaurants previously, The chicken was ok but other meat was not great quality & a bit rubbery & tough. It was all served with the usual salad & rice. Drinks were expensive. To be fair the restaurant was full that weekend, but the town has very few restaurant options. We all agreed that the experience, ambiance & quality of food did not meet our expectations & was expensive under the circumstances. We will stick to the more authentic Turkish restaurants we are familiar with in future & will not be returning. A smile would have been nice!!

I've been in Niwan twice during last year. Lovely food and big portions. Only "problem" to fix is a reservation. I was there on a time but I waited additional 20 minutes to get a table.

Had a meal here, Saturday night, it was fantastic! Really good service, the waitress and manager were very friendly and the food was fresh and delicious.

Last minute stop pre theatre: tasty dishes - the Turkish pizza was good (mozzarella and egg). Good meal all around. Nice surprise.

Extremely large portions, to large in fact. Never order a starter. Good quality. It’s to much, main course and dessert more than enough.

Went for an early evening meal with my wife and kids. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, especially friendly and patient with the children. The food was delicious with generous portions. We had a great time, ate excellent foor and left with full bellies. We will be going back!

Last night I took my 3 guests who came to visit us from Cambridge. We had wonderfully enjoyable experiences. Kebabs were amazing. The service was amazing. The atmosphere was amazing. Everything was perfect for us to come back again. We greatly appreciated the owner Ali's knowledge of the business, his modesty and hospitality. Thank you again for everything. We visited Nirwan for the first time last night and had a lovely meal. From the moment we walked in we were made very welcome with the staff being very attentive. From the complimentary balloon bread thru the mixed meze starter to the mains, all of the food was very tasty, well presented and very tasty. Thanks for a lovely evening and we will definitely return.

Placed order at 6:15pm and was told 45 minutes for delivery. 7:30pm still no food, phoned and was told it would be another 30 minutes, as they only had 1 chef and they were busy, so why tell me 45 minutes for delivery then?? Eventually got my food at 8:15pm. Was not happy at all

The food was lovely and plenty of it. But restaurant was far to hot they had air con units but it was still too hot.

A group of six ate here tonight for hubbys birthday and as ever it was a superb meal again. Fabulous food, great hospitality, lovely friendly atmosphere. If we want a celebratory meal, we always eat here. Thoroughly recommend it to all my family and friends

The only issue that upset me was that when two people in our party didn't turn up because of COVID issues the maitre d was not impressed and was not believing me. Otherwise they would of got a 5 stars.

Start to finish amazing! The food was amazing, my daughter loved the “puffy” fresh cooked bread! All the food is fresh and plentiful, the side salad was just gorgeous. The staff were really lovely came and chatted and just wanted us to enjoy ourselves. Lovely...
