My two friends and I had decided to visit Tremenheere Sculpture Park today, two of us would visit the gardens whilst our friend who uses an electric chair had coffee and cake in Tremenheere Kitchen and visited the shop, after which we would join her, we would then all have lunch together at the Kitchen. We were all really looking forward to our visit and off we went to the kitchen and asked the staff member for a table explaining our plan, the attitude of the staff member was shocking, rude and totally unhelpful; she didn’t address the Lady who uses a wheelchair at all when she spoke to her, told us that our friend couldn’t use the main area of the cafe as she had a dog, the dog in question is an assistance dog, small and very well behaved and the Lady in question never goes anywhere without her dog. The staff member huffed and puffed when asked again for a table by me for my friend , she made us all feel unwelcome and an inconvenience to her, her attitude was detrimental and discriminatory, the three of us decided to abandon our visit to the gardens and kitchen due to her attitude and we will not visit again, so a word of warning to all wheelchair users ..................don’t visit Tremenheere Kitchen as you are NOT WELCOME. Our friend was very upset by this experience so we left the site, we then went along to the Penzance Heliport Café, where we were all welcomed as equal citizens , the Staff were courteous, helpful going out of their way to accommodate us all and provide the best hospitality they could, which after the experience we had received at Tremenheere Kitchen was much appreciated.

We visited after a trip to the sculpture gardens and the meal here was actually the highlight of our trip. Very welcoming staff seated us right away (we arrived about 2pm, be aware they get busy at main meal times) and knew straight away what gluten free options they had available. (No "er I'll have to check") Thankfully there were several nice GF choices so my wife had a tasty hake and I had a classic (non-GF) battered fish & chips. Great food, nice location, good vibe and friendly staff. A perfect holiday meal.

Part of the Tremenheere sculpture gardens, but people come here just to eat it's that good. Between us we had potted shrimps, salt and pepper squid, fried tofu, beautiful salad, fries with aioli. All beautifully prepared, in a delightful setting, eat outside if you can. Staff were lovely too. And there were toilets for men, women and unisex so no complaints from me about women being marginalised! Thank you

We had a delicious lunch here and enjoyed looking round the gardens and sculpture park. There were 4 choices for lunch plus a couple of additional specials. We had fish and chips and the chicken burger. The food and wine were good but the best thing about Tremenherre kitchen is the chilled relaxed vibe and awesome views across to St Michael’s Mount.

Absolutely amazing food, we had a selection and everything was brilliant. Starters, mains and puddings. The staff were absolutely incredible, made you feel at home instantly and extremely comfortable. We have a reactive dog and when he was barking we moved tables, they said we didn't need to and it was fine but we were more comfortable doing so. They totally understood the issue and made sure we were fine and comfortable. Felt like you were talking to people who cared about the job and the customers from start to finish.

Had a lovely wander around the sculptures, for which there was no charge. That mitigated the high cost of lunch somewhat. The succulents are amazing, so beautiful and was tempted to buy some to take home but they were all very expensive and I suspect they thrive in Cornwall for environmental reasons which I cannot easily replicate!

If you are visiting the gardens- which most people are - bring your own food and drink. This was our second attempt in 3 days to get a drink and a sandwich after walking around the gardens. We arrived a little after 2pm to be told yet again that if we hadn’t booked a table ahead for a full meal we couldn’t eat.we were not alone . A number of very disgruntled people were turned away - it says 4pm on the website everyday / we visited Friday and Monday - staff dismissive / said it was term time - if that’s the case please say so on the boards outside at least . Gardens are superb but please cater for garden visitors who need refreshments after walking around.

My wife and I booked for a special lunch on our 58th Wedding anniversary. Beautiful day, table outside. delicious food, BUT everything was spoilt, for us and other guests ,by the incessant dog barking from under several nearby tables. We are hoping that in future some notices will be displayed discouraging guests from bringing their dog(s) along unless they are able to control them properly.

Yesterday, was our first Sunday Lunch visit for 2024. A big thank you to Jo and the Team for a fantastic welcome, superb food and the usual warm and profesisonal service. The place was absolutely buzzing, no surprise there, its one of the best Sunday Lunch venues ( and other meal services too 1) in Cornwall. The roasts are memorable for all the right reasons and if you can make room for pudding they are rather excellent too. Thank you for a perfect Sunday.

Visited on a very busy Sunday afternoon for Sunday roast. Food was delicious, ample portions, good quality produce used (not sure about the cucumber on a roast?) and lashings of gravy. A bit on the expensive side but most enjoyable. There is certainly a buzz about the place, albeit a little noisy. Staff are so friendly, smiley and helpful.

The venue was chosen by our friends for lunch. The location is second to none, we sat overlooking Mounts Bay and had a lovely view of St Michaels Mount. I had crab linguine, which was superb, although a little light on the crab, the others dined on chicken burgers, which was equally good. the atmosphere was very relaxed, the service was good our meal was followed by a walk around the gardens (entry tickets bought separately). We were visiting Cornwall from South wales and left it last minute to book for a Sunday roast. We searched on trip advisor and came across this beautiful place. I went to book and could see it was fully booked for the Sunday (was trying to book the day before) so messaged via their Facebook page to see if they accepted walk ins, the lovely lady replied saying they could fit us in for a quick lunch ( 1 1/2 hour table ) at 11:45am, this was prefect for us. We arrived in a beautiful location, we were sat right away and drinks order taken quickly. Me and my partner both had the beef Sunday roast whilst my toddler had the chicken dippers and chips, my meal was delicious . One of the best Sunday lunches I’ve ever had, my sons chicken was so soft and tasty, we had a coffee and cake for dessert. The cake was beautiful. I would 100% recommend to anyone visiting the area to go! The staff were so friendly, couldn’t have done enough. Would definitely go back if in the area again.

We visited Tremenheere Kitchen during one of its first evening services. Our entire evening was faultless, put together with the amazing and very unique space that is Tremenheere Kitchen, I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone considering a visit. The greeting when we arrived was friendly, efficient and very welcoming, which really set the tone for the evening that followed. We kicked off with the Panzanella salad, which we shared. Having eaten this dish in Italy, the chefs here had cleverly refined and elevated it….just delicious, and set our palates up for what was to come. My husband had the steak, which was perfectly cooked and beautifully tender, the homemade peppercorn sauce that accompanied it was just glossy goodness….yum! My hake was again perfectly cooked, and the accompaniments of crispy potato terrine and peas a la Francaise just showed how much thought had gone into this by the chefs. We finished our evening with the homemade meringue, served with strawberries and crème patisserie……wow, wow, wow!!!! The wine recommendation which accompanied our food throughout the evening was a perfect suggestion, made by the knowledgeable front of house staff. We will definitely be back, and hope that this place gets the success and recognition it deserves.

We always come here when visiting Cornwall, and it is obvious that, as well as holiday-makers, the restaurant also attracts a lot of local people who enjoy good food in a lovely setting. The surrounding sculpture park is beautiful and we were able to enjoy the views from our table on the patio. This review is not about the gardens, it's about the food. My wife and I live locally and have visited several times. On the whole we have had pleasant eating extperiences here, but not on this occasion. I ordered the pulled pork taco and it was simply awful. It was a tray of taco crisps on top of which was dumped a heap of what was originally probably quite tasty pulled pork, on top of which was scattered some jalapeno chillies and olives and a dollop of cream. It was obvious that this was frozen and had been microwaved. When it arrived the outside was warm but the inside was cold. It was truly and simply awful, a mushy, microwaved mess for which I was charged £9.50. If this is what Tremenheere kitchens have come to then I fear for their future and we will not return there to eat.

Absolutely adored this simple little set up in the perfect setting, offering anything but simple food. A stunning menu, even more so with the carefully crafted drinks selection, from which I chose a very pleasing Bloody Mary, but the Blackberry Gin with Lemon & Thyme was equally pleasing too.For food, I was boring and picked the fish and chips, but what arrived was far from boring. Perfectly light, crisp batter, chips that were beyond what I'd call chunky, and the crushed peas and tartare sauce were a perfect accompaniment. The Baked Beetroot and Polenta was one of the most imaginative vegetarian concoction I've seen in some time, and was executed with precision by a chef with an eye for the aesthetic. All in all, stellar staff, fantastic food and sumptuous scenery made for a holiday highlight.

Our famiy just enjoyed a delicious, well presented and generous Sunday roast at Tremenheere Kitchen. Everything was so well organised - quick efficient service and lots of space to spread out on the grass and for children to play. Brilliant!

5 of us ate here food for lunch, it was a lovely day weather wise and we were able to sit outside. The wonderful food was very well presented , we all had different dishes and all declared them delicious . The service was very good and safety conscious, the tables were well spaced out and cleaning was evident. Excellent meal.

We've eaten in a lot of restaurants around Cornwall, and this is by far one of the best. Gorgeous setting outside with view of St Michael's Mount, plus indoor seating if raining. We are all vegetarians and the food was unbelievably good - we had the beetroot salad with thick polenta chips, tempura with asian slaw and the bulgar wheat salad. Everything was delicious! Service was excellent. Could not recommend more highly. We will definitely be back!

We visited the sculpture gardens today and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. After a couple of hours walking around we had Sunday lunch in the restaurant. The food was delicious. Two of us had roast beef which was tender and tasty and served with a lovely selection of seasonal vegetables. My partner had the nut roast and really enjoyed that too. The only negative was the older, grey haired waitress who, on first arriving was short tempered and quite rude. Apart from her, all the younger staff were delightful and friendly.

The Kitchen at Tremenheere Sculpture park serves one of the best Sunday lunches I’ve ever had out. Roast beef and vegetarian... everyone of us had a superb, generous, delicious lunch. The test of a Sunday roast has to be the quality of gravy, Yorkshire and Horseradish - all homemade, all hot and delicious (how many times can I type the word delicious?) Light and airy restaurant with a woodland sculpture garden with world class (David Nash, James Turrell, Tim Shaw and etc). Highly recommend.

Very nice food, not a huge selection on menu but what we did have was fantastic. Good options for children and lots of toys, and colouring and high chairs. Really excellent food, lovely service and a gorgeous setting. Highly recommend

I treated my family of 8 to sunday lunch as when i have eaten roast lunch here before it has been 1st class however, the roast this day was not good...1 green bean, burnt yorkshire pud, grumpy waitress, veggie option seemed as though it had been microwaved from frozen etc... have you changed your chef ? A very dissapointing sunday roast..

Lovely lunch today - Croque Monsieur absolutely delicious. Can’t believe I actually sat outside in the sunshine on 2nd December! Lovely and peaceful setting looking across to St Michaels Mount. I live locally and have visited a few times now and had lunch, including a Sunday roast, and afternoon tea. The food has always been excellent and the staff friendly and welcoming.

The Sunday lunch of roast beef with all the vegetables for around £14 is a great plate of food and as good as it comes ,anywhere. The service is very present. You need to book for Sunday as its very popular.

When holidaying in Cornwall the bush pepper should be a top tier priority your list. There are many things to enjoy on the menu but in my opinion you must always try something new. For example their kangaro was such a unusual but delicious dish. It doesn't have that gamey beefy iron taste to it, so you really can season it however you like. The menu said it was Cajun but I felt it lacked that spicy element. The port and red wine reduction was lovely. And the sweet potato wedges really complimented the kangaroo. My wings were fall apart melt in your mouth. However, it said it was BBQ flavour I think it needed a bit more of a smokey depth to it. The sauce felt a little confused. But still delicious. The people who served us were a delight Jasmine and Sian. Two sweet & Stella servers who make all the correct check backs at the appointed time. They had great banter. They really did look after us. Check backs really mean alot to me as a customer and you can always tell if they are genuine. The portion sizes as you can see are spot on. Just an all round amazing time. The owner must be proud.

Absolutely fantastic food; I had the stone bass, which was superb and really well presented, with wonderfully soft scallops. My wife, who's veggie, found plenty to choose from when other restaurants are just offering the same handful of dishes that others offer. Great service too. Just a shame we're on holiday as it means we can't come back easily!

Great food but terrible service and very slow. Ordered take out from here whilst family were staying. We thought we had been forgotten or would never arrive. No updates, but the food took two hours to arrive at our house. It was not hot and limp. No idea why it took that long as we were just staying at the holiday park next to Swanpool so fifteen mins by car. No idea why it took so long and 0 communication. Just rubbish.
