This is basically a fancier version of Wetherspoons. You can order using QR code at the table, but it wants a tip, before you have received any service. Then it demands verified phone number. So I had to give up on my online order and get up and order at the till. You have to fetch your own water as well.

We used to visit The Lighthouse Bar & Kitchen regularly in 2022, and it was such a great spot back then! Fantastic views, comfy outdoor seating, and tasty food. However, during our recent visit in 2024, we were left very disappointed. The owners must have changed, or else we cannot explain these drastic changes. While the view of Mumbles Lighthouse over Bracelet Bay is still as stunning as ever, nearly everything else has gone downhill. We went for breakfast, but the options were very limited compared to 2022, and it didn’t seem freshly made. It felt like the food had been sitting under warming lamps for hours (perhaps days). The quality was noticeably subpar and completely overpriced. To make matters worse, the cappuccino with pumpkin spice was undrinkable, and we had to leave it. The only decent thing we had was the Oreo milkshake, though it would have been better with a spoon, which we didn’t get. Another frustrating change is the ordering process. Everything must be ordered via QR code on your phone, and you pay upfront, including a tip request before any service is given. Tipping should be based on the experience and service, not demanded before it even starts. We regret paying a tip here, as the overall experience was disappointing.

I was walking the coast. I needed a coffee and a nice breakfast. Well, the coffee was good. But the breakfast was terrible £11.50 They charged it was disgusting 🫣. The sausage was solid it was warmed up in microwave it tasted it was yesterday's food bacon 🥓 , was terrible, and it iswell. Showed it wasn't fresh. I was only in there a few mins breakfast was on the table in 5 mins flat . So I will never call in there again .Tasted better food in greggs.

Delicious food and great service, it was so crispy and delicious. We ordered on the app outside and it was extremely quick.

A delicious coffee, overlooking the beautiful Bracelet Bay.Not many restaurants,can boast of a view like that!New owners have made it so welcoming but stylish.Charming young lady,who served us,told us how lucky she felt to work in such an establishment.It was a sunny Autumn day but would be just as magical,in any weather.Being a vegan,I was offered the option of three different "milks"Highly recommend.

First time we visited for special birthday celebration was lovely , so decided to return to celebrate another special anniversary and were seated in the worst table , no view whatsoever , facing a wall , may as well have been sitting in a cave , soooo disappointing walked out in disgust !

Took my 2 young granddaughters out for a meal lovely scenery whilst eating lovely variety to suit kids and adults..food was excellent

Saturday morning visit - a first to the newly refurbished venue as had some hit & miss experiences previously. Arrived late morning & quite quiet. A very helpful member of staff (Jessica) informed us about ordering time for breakfast as lunch menu was just about to start. Ordered coffees & breakfast (before midday cutoff) & went to our very pleasant outside table. After approx 20 mins went to enquire if our coffees were on the way, staff checked & within minutes they arrived - not as ordered & when I went to let the staff know this no apology or offer of original order & I paid for another coffee (the originally ordered one). 40mins after arriving enquired into our food order & told there was a mix up between breakfast & lunch ordering & it was on the way - another 15 mins passed (no staff returnedto follow up on enquiry) & eventually asked Jessica where our order might be & within minutes food arrived with a very polite apology & repeated earlier problem! Food was mediocre, not too hot & egg undercooked but we were starving by now. The venue has been very tastefully refurbished & cannot be beaten for location but if this is an example of customer service it falls way below what should be on offer at a venue aiming at this level in the hospitality service.

We had breakfast there on a rainy day - there is a large car park outside. The restaurant was nice nside with some great views. Plenty of space around each table. The food was excellent, nicely cooked and well presented. The coffee was good too. Staff very friendly. Would recommend

Quick fast service, pleasant place to watch the would go by.

Wonderful breakfast, great view, sadly I felt very stressed as I hate booking for food on my mobile when your paying good money for your food, plus I struggled to find the decaf options in hot drinks, so I asked a staff member if they could come take our order as we're struggling. Plus with 3 young kids to entertain. 20mins gone by no1 turned up. So my wife found how to find what I wanted and ordered for me. I let a staff member know that no1 turned up to take our order and she didn't say anything in response.... I guess " sorry about that" wouldn't of hurt. Just felt like poor service in a place your paying good money for. Table service ain't much to ask for.

Vegan meal came with non vegan coleslaw on plate. When questioned the waiter add so Jed if vegan coleslaw was ordered. Honestly if you order a vegan meal you don’t expect to have to reiterate that every thing on the plate needs to be vegan. Two of our party ordered fish and chips. The chips were virtuslly inedible too small and hard coudnt even get a fork in them and the fish had been incinerated. Batter dark brown and the the little fish that was inside the batter was over cooked and chewy. Will never go there again

Lovely food with an amazing view, the sun was out and there isn't anywhere else around the area that is better with a view like that.

Our group is a large group and the lady gave us a place using bench and chairs which are right for 6 adults and 4 children. Food are good. Staff is helpful.

A suprise visit, you forget what is on your doorstep, great team of staff here, friendly, polite and great food.

We booked the Lighthouse function room for our Reception on August 14th. Incredible. Sophie from events was incredibly helpful and supportive in the months building up to our wedding! Jordan and the other staff on the day were fun, professional and extremely supportive throughout. The buffet food was perfect for our setting and vibe of the evening. We were up stairs for a wedding party and it was fantastic. The staff were fabulous and the food spot on. The views fron the room are amazing and location fantastic.

Fantastic fillet steak and accompanying vegetables meal, cooked exactly as requested. We waited 45 minutes for the meal but it was well worth the. The dessert was equally tasty. Would definitely recommend.

Went to the Rok . Was disappointed with a very small portions .and was charged a service charge on top,which I didn't notice until I came home .very disappointing.

Beautiful scenery as it was a lush day.. myself partner & son had a breakfast which was ok. We have had better.. also if I'm honest I think it's a cheek to ask for a tip when placing the order I always tip anyway but it should be a choice.

Enjoyed this place a couple of times now. Eating outside is recommended if you have the weather. The view is worth it all. There's a slight premium in the cost for the location, but it isn't exorbitant. The food choices are interesting and there's always something a bit different to try. Food quality is very good too, and great coffee.

Have always had good meals in the past. Tonight had fish and chips. Chips were very brown and soggy and fish was overcooked. When I complained about the chips, I was informed that it was a problem with a certain batch from the suppliers, which I find hard to believe.If this was the case it would’ve been better to have discarded them and cooked fresh ones. Took friends there for their first time, so very disappointing.

At first was pleased with this placed after arriving, although it was hard to see the sea view through a dirty window that we had been seated by. Then it got worse when the food arrived, toppings were sparse and pizza tasted mostly like bread more than anything else. When the price of this food is mentioned this becomes and even sadder story. Massively overpriced! The drinks are of decent quality but the poor quality pizzas here ruin that.

The Welsh breakfast was lovely - cooked to perfection. The staff were friendly and the service was good, however, I was seriously let down by the gender neutral toilets. They dont have any female only toilets at all, which was essential being as we were caravanning. I could understand having unisex toilets if there was only one or two toilets on site, but they clearly designed a decent sized gender neutral bathroom on purpose ….. Not having a female only bathroom meant that I couldn’t adjust my underwear, clothing, fix my hair or touch up my make up in the mirror - no way could I do this while stood next to a man! I was far too uncomfortable to use the sink simply because men were using the sinks too! I ended up “holding on” for another hour until we got to a service station.

Went mid week, for a late lunch. Was pretty quiet but I guess because of that, I managed to sit by a window with the amazing view. Didn't experience the slow, poor service that some reviewers did. The staff was extremely courteous and attentive. I had fish and chips which was fine. The portion was so huge,.I couldn't manage it all. Nothing exceptional but very far from bad. Would recommend a visit.

Tea and cake caused no difficulties. Great views. Outside seating available; had one redoubtable man sheltering in the drizzle. Very quiet due no doubt to the rain. Paid parking adjacent.

There is a sign on the side of the building that says if you sit outside go inside to the bar to order. But when you get to the bar you can't order there. You have to stand at the entrance by a booth and order with a que of other people so everyone is blocking the entrance. Not very efficient

We didn't like there was no table service outside. It was QR code, which meant we couldn't ask questions about the food. There's a good menu and it's fairly priced. The food was very good and we didn't have to wait too long for it to arrive. The staff who delivered the food were very friendly. Fabulous views across the bay. Would go again.

This was our first visit to Swansea. A local resident suggested we have lunch at the Lighthouse, so we took her advice, and we're glad we did. There's a great view of the Bay to set the mood, and we were blessed with a warm sunny day. Our food was well presented and the quality was great. Along with friendly staff and good service, it all added up to a memorable experience. Well done to all, we'll be back soon with friends.

Found this ridiculously expensive. Just because it's overlooking the bay, doesn't justify the high prices they charge. Much better price alternatives elsewhere.

Great restaurant,fantastic atmosphere.We went in for a quiet Lunch with Family and had a great time,our server a very sweet and helpful pretty young lady was very efficient and professional.She even chased us down to the car park to hand over a bag my sister in law left at the table,I will definitely be going back if I visit mumbles again.

Went into the Lighthouse for lunch as we have been doing for a few months now. Lots of staff available so no waiting to be seated and having our drinks and food order taken. Nice to see a water station available which I hadn't noticed before. Nice glasses and not paper cups. The menu has changed, pizzas are no longer bogof and there is no soup and a roll . Nevertheless, we enjoyed our meals. One had a pizza which was large but a box was provided to take the excess home. The fish and chips was delicious, served with tartare sauce and pureed peas. The atmosphere was calm and jovial. Every one of the staff was attentive, the lad who served our meals was very professional, ensuring that we had everything we required. Worth a visit!

Rok restaurant is a beautiful place to visit. View , food and service is brilliant.

The food was lovely but you have to order via a qr code so there is no personal touch meaning we couldn't even ask about certain meals we had questions about. When the food came to the table I had to go and find some cutlery as we weren't brought any.

Situated in a beautiful place in mumbles with stunning views. Went in and were seated right away. Orders taken on QR code at table or waitress. Orders by QR code and food never came... After 40 minutes I made enquires and my order was not recieved 🙄... Order via waitress to recieve a cold uncooked fish finger baguette 😣.. Took food away and recieved a new order... But very disappointed. Wouldn't recommend eating there... Plenty (too much) of staff hovering about with very little to do... Spoilt it for us but will come to mumbles again and try somewhere else

Terrible customer service waited 15 minutes at kiosk for two coffees, the young lady serving was so stressed and had a queue of people waiting, twice two managers walked in but did not help her, the coffee machine dribbled coffee out and she stopped serving me to serve others whilst waiting for coffee to drip out of the machine, unfortunately she had boiled the milk 1st and by the time the lattes made they were stone cold. Went into main restaurant to speak to a manager who muttered an apology and made two fresh lattes but the amount of staff just stood around was unreal, one offered to go and help in the kiosk but was told no by said manager. Would never visit again coffee better in McDonald's !

Why is a cappuccino in a small cup and Lattein large for same price never in our life had it served in a smaller cup, ( in our late 70s ) been in thousands of Caffè 's never ever had a smaller cup than my hubby for same coffees. Money grabbing 😡

Lovely place for lunch, speedy service and had an excellent children's menu (honestly the fish goujons were nicer than my own meal 😂 ) Great atmosphere, music was a little loud at times but still enjoyable

Went here with my Gf for dinner on a lovely day out round Mumbles and despite how super busy it was we managed to get parking and sorted straight away for food. Lovely staff. Food was amazing. Halloumi burger and katsu chicken burger were to die for. 😋

We went on a busy sunny day and the staff were rude, dismissive and chaotic. Horrible atmosphere and I guess they don't care because they have such a prime location and captive clientele. Won't be going again unless things change but don't think they care what people think. Very sweet little ice cream parlour round the corner in Limeslade Bay currently closed for refurbishment but lovely... give them your custom instead.

Such a beautiful location with great potential after some simple changes. I hope the management can make some improvements that will make such a difference. 5 stars for the location and atmosphere. The wait staff were lovely but we did have an issue. Everyone at our table received their food except me. After some back and forth to the kitchen, they told me what I ordered wasn’t actually available. They really should have told me this when we ordered, not after the rest of the food was served. I was left the only one without food.. The calamari and fish is awful. It’s heavily heavily battered and just not nice. The prawn salad (a main) only had 3 small prawns.. The sea bass with pasta salad (main) and hummus starter was very nice. I think the hummus should have a piece of pita or flatbread with it though. We once visited for breakfast. The menu was given to us and all they served was toast with preserves… That’s hardly serving breakfast. No bacon, no eggs, no sides, only toast! Such a waste when the setting is so nice. We got up and left. We will keep going (for lunch), we love the atmosphere and staff. We just really hope some improvements are made. Please pass onto management for consideration. Thank you! Food was decent. Price performance appropriate. We had very nice and really disgusting table neighbors, sometimes you can't choose. The procedure was a bit misleading. The best thing to do is look for a seat, remember the table number and then order. Free choice of seating outside.

Very busy today, 1:30 wait for food, we had some drinks and moved on.

Told our food was going to be an hour. Waited an hour while others came and went. No service, then told us they didn’t have our food order, and it would be another 30 mins. What a joke. Don’t waste your time or money

My nephew had his engagement party here and it's beautiful they had a buffet and it was amazing. They had a separate function room which is not too big and downstairs in the restaurant was really busy. I imagine in the summer it will be the place to go because the views over the bay are wonderful

What a location! Stunning views! But you can't rely only on this, unfortunately. The customer service was poor. It felt like the staff members don't like each other and they suffer in their job. And this unfortunately affects the ambience of this lovely place. The decor was elegant, and the carrot cake was delicious. Shame about the vibe.

Visiting family in Swansea and called in here. Nice coffee but not dog friendly, it was far too windy to sit outside. There is plenty of room inside to keep a small section for people with dogs. We will not be visiting again sadly unless they chang their policy.
