The Library Pub in Leeds

We came here for bottomless brunch and our server Alex is one of the nicest servers I've ever had in Leeds. Always on top of things and constantly coming to see if we need more drinks on top of been a very nice person.

Jakob is the best server ever. Friendly. Kind. Efficient. Couldn’t ask for more ! X

Never any toilet roll in the ladies

All was going well on my trip to the Library until a man on the bar with curly hair decided to be unpleasant towards me. He threatened me with an unable to serve notice,claiming that I was over the no- serve line posters on the line- this was incorrect. Hence I must give a one star review to the Library purely due to the incompetence and quite frankly impolite member of staff on the bar at the time.

Beau the bartender was incredibly rude to me. Very dismissive and the customer service they provided was horrendous. Made me feel very uncomfortable and ruined my experience.

If the biohazard that is the black mould covering the walls isn't enough to put you off, there is never a single useable toilet available - even on a quiet mid week day when the staff aren't busy. No locks on half the doors, or toilet seats, and it's a miracle if there's ever a single roll of toilet paper shared between them. Disgusting. Oh, and don't forget to bring a big coat as it's always absolutely freezing anywhere you sit. Owners/management should be embarrassed.

Booked the Lending Room for Wednesday 5th February for my Grandad’s Wake. Staff were amazing and catered to our every need quickly and efficiently. Booked and paid for 20 of us the food was absolutely amazing presented beautifully and tasted even better, plenty to go round with doggy bags for people to take home too. Everyone commented it was the best buffet food they had experienced. The pricing was perfect too. If booking here with the buffet menu I would definitely recommend only paying for half of the people coming as there is a lot of food. Would recommend this place 100% and I for one will definitely book again for any upcoming events.

As a meeting point after work or whilst waiting for the bus (or the one after that) for me. I'm generally there earlier on in the evening after finishing and always find a pleasant atmosphere, good/plenty of sports on TV and both student and patron offers/nights all week.

Incredibly rude staff and poor customer service. When speaking to the bar staff regarding an issue with our meal, the staff refused to help us and then called us rude for bringing up an issue. If you wish to be treated poorly by staff, come here.

We did the brunch for my friends birthday, Alex took care of us and made sure we were never without a drink, he was lovely and I’d definitely come again!

Not really my sort of place but service was great. Good choice of drinks but I'm an ale drinker and there was nothing. Typical for this type of bar, looks like food would be decent if this is what you want

Great venue. Went to the lending room which is a small venue upstairs...loved it. Small venues like this are the lifeblood of the music industry

bouncers were really aggressive towards my friends- treating women like that is disgusting

The library has decent food , what you’d expect from a pub grub so would have food from here anytime. The service is great with the staff being on hand at anytime and no rudeness. The only bad thing about the place is the atmosphere, there’s a lack of it except from on their student night.

Pedí la hamburguesa rebelde de ternera y enseguida pude saborear el moho del pan así que lo dejé todo y me comí las patatas fritas. No me preguntaron por qué lo dejé así que nunca dije nada porque no esperaba que la comida fuera brillante de todos modos. Visited a uni of leeds society event at the lending room. Good vibes and good service. A good selection on tap, especially berries & cherries. Alex and Caitlin were especially cool and friendly.

Food was good and there were various deals making the price pretty reasonable. Staff friendly and quick service. The mould in the girls toilets desperately needs tackling however.

Alcohol poisoning. Not very clean. Some good live music from smaller acts. Situated in a student area by the park, plenty of takeaways available if you don't want to try their own food. This is a theatre type venue with limited parking. They have a pool table for killing time and this pub DOES feature on the world famous Otley run so bare that in mind. Regular drink selection but out of the multiple different pints my group tasted, it all tasted terrible - like the lines haven't been cleaned in years. Recommend drinking before going to see bands or only buying bottles when here.

It picked up in 2014 by diverse management. Upstairs still have live acts. Kitchen in view with chefs. Clever seating and TV screens. Small beer garden at the front.

I've always had great experiences dining and drinking at the Library, but today was different. I ordered 15 chicken wings to take home and paid for them, but ended up waiting nearly 30 minutes, even though it wasn't particularly busy. When I inquired at the counter, it became clear that a staff member had forgotten to send my order to the kitchen. Instead of prioritizing it, I was made to wait another 30 minutes. I was really disappointed by the lack of attention to customer service.

Great choice of ales. Visited on a mid-week early afternoon hence a score of only three stars.

I just stopped in for a pint here after checking out the university nearby, I'd seen the positive reviews online and thought it'd be a decent place to stop. Maybe this was just an off day, or an off pint? But I had an Asahi that was room temperature, flat, and tasted unlike any Asahi I'd ever had before, in an unbranded, slightly warm glass. All for the slightly above average price of £5.70. It seems like a nice enough environment, and the location is pretty great, but the pint I had was barely worth finishing... So I probably would avoid it if you want a beer.

Only the service let it down. Went for metal to the masses final. Bands were brilliant, however staff were directing us in different directions, the door staff obviously weren't regular. Bar staff were flustered and didn't handle pressure well being quite aggressive with customers when the pump went off. She did later apologise but clearly needed some support. More toilets needed and a cleaner. The most disgusting toilets I have ever seen!

Had the best time at bottomless brunch, Steph, Theo and Spencer really looked after us and gave us such a good experience.

The beer is good but the staff weren't very happy. The food arrived quickly enough but didn't come with cutlery and when I went to find it I was told that it would be brought over... after a few minutes. The burgers were over complicated to order and we left most of it on the plate, the pizza looked good but was barely cooked which was a shame. The base was solid dough in the middle. Maybe turn the oven up a touch? But of a shame... def a boozers pub.

Quiet on a Sunday afternoon so no trouble getting a table. The food was really good surprisingly for a chain pub. I really enjoyed the burrito bowl There's no parking here, as it is close to the uni quarter in Leeds, so bare that in mind. We parked 7 min away on Woodsley Road, free and unrestricted parking on a Sunday
