The Lemon Tree Cafe in North Devon

I was there once and only try a cup of tea with milk, ever though I remember that I really liked the decoration of that place.

Excellent meals lovely and hot and very well presented. Nice friendly staff. Good atmosphere. Would definitely recommend a visit.

The staff were friendly and the cafe clean and comfy but the coffee was not great and two of us were charged 60p to share a little jug of milk! I don't remember ever being charged for milk with a coffee before.

Comfortable surroundings, friendly staff, excellent menu, good prices. I had delicious Eggs Benedict- perfectly cooked and served up on two hash browns. This is my favourite place to eat in Barnstaple.

Amazing brunch! The food was delicious and presented so well. Staff were so friendly. This cafe is a good too for cosy vibes and good coffee! I will be spreading the word of this independent cafe. Supporting independent businesses over chains!!

Not been here before but saw they were doing a festive afternoon tea, We had a lovely selection of sweet & savouries & tea or coffee. & were impressed it was on different stands as one of us is gluten free.Everything was delicious but we couldn’t manage it all so the lovely staff gave us a box to take out. This is excellent value £18 pp so would highly recommend.

Stopped here for a coffee to go instead of visiting a chain, one of them best coffees I’ve ever had!! Will be back to visit when I’m back in Devon!

Had the best breakfast. Kids pancake and full English breakfast were fantastic, outstanding quality and good value. Staff are very friendly. Had a strawberry milkshake too which was so good. Can’t wait to return to try more!

Relaxing friendly environment. Large menu, difficult to choose as so many tempting dishes. Fresh hot food. Good quality ingredients. Such great coffee that we had to ask what they used. Coffee roaster from Devon. ❤️ Cakes and scones look amazing too. Highly recommend this little place.

I had a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend this cafe to others. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful they also allow and have a dog menu! The breakfast and drinks were delicious and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. I'll definitely be back!

Nice little cafe, not ideal if you have a pushchair though like I did as it was quite cramped. But other than that, cant fault our visit. Me and my 2 friends all had the breakfast wraps, and we all enjoyed them! I had a nice caramel latte too! Would recommend.

A lovely little cafe tucked away in a side street, a friendly welcome as soon as we entered. Order at the till usually however we ordered at the table. A great choice of options on the menu. Drinks came first & then the food arrived. Food was lovely & a great start off for our holidays.

I had a the breakfast and it was incredible looks amazing and taste wise it was the best I have ever had in my life.The staff were lovely and were very polite and considerate.Lovely atmosphere inside would 100% recommend.

Great bacon and sausage sandwiches, and a delicious mini breakfast catering for gluten free. Super and friendly service and delicious food. Cosy decor.

Beautiful cafe! Great service under new management the lady seemed lovely. The food was delicious and was well presented I had the bananatella pancakes and a Oreo mega milkshake it was fabulous! Would 100% recommend and I can't wait to go back

I have walked pass this place a few times most likely on previous holidays when it was a differently named establishment but came across this under the current name and owners in this current holiday, when I was looking for somewhere dog friendly that also offered a good veggie breakfast. On the day of my visit, it was not too busy but the there is plenty of tables on the ground floor and I also understand there is an upstairs section with additional seating, with a customer toilet (I did not go upstairs) I was nearly too late to have a breakfast as went soon after 2pm but one of the ladies said it was not a problem and she would happily go and make a start on making what I wanted. Now this is what I call good customer service. I enjoyed my veggie / meat free breakfast that comes with a choice of homemade bubble and squeak or hash browns. I opted for the bubble & squeak and added my own seasoning as felt this was needed. The veggie breakfast was freshly made, nicely presented and very tasty. I like places like this that offer a choice of toast (white or granary) but do not pre-butter or spread the toast and instead provide small portions of butter so a customer can do this for themself and by placing the butter on the toast it was nicely soft and spreadable. My chosen drink was the The Pina Colada Milkshake and this was delicious and nicely presented with shaving of desiccated coconut and lovely to see that The Lemon Tree uses metal straws as this is better for the environment. I would recommend The Lemon Tree and would come again. All the staff (3 ladies in total) were friendly and also gave my dog lots of fuss and a few treats. Thanks again for allowing me to pick the breakfast despite coming later in the day.

Escaping from the rain we found this lovely, cosy little cafe which was thankfully dog friendly 🐶 What a find! Delicious hazelnut mocha and crunchie milkshake were just what we needed and the Bonfire Rocky Road was to die for! A must when wanting a break from your shopping or the rain!

I highly recommend this place (dog friendly) Really nice atmosphere we was made to feel welcome as soon as your went in the cafe and they also welcomed our puppy and made a fuss of him Coffee and food was really good we will definitely return again when we visit this area again

Really sweet cafe! The staff were very friendly and polite. I had the lemon tree special pancakes which were delicious! The coffee was very nice too!

Tucked away just off the high street, this cafe offers the perfect place to stop off and enjoy some food. The breakfast wrap was delicious and my partner enjoyed the veggie tacos - very quirky and filling. Highly recommend as the perfect place to stop for brunch. Much better value and quality than the bigger chains in the area.

Baby shower high tea event, absolutely delicious lovely fresh food made on the premises, lovely friendly smiling staff, could not do enough for us, lovely relaxed few hours with goodie bags supplied because we could not eat it all

Fabulous little cafe in Barnstaple town centre. Menu is varied and reasonably priced. Food was cooked fresh to order and delicious, service was friendly and attentive. My only minor criticism would be the meat free breakfast is very carb heavy with toast, hash browns and the (utterly wonderful) home made bubble and squeak, maybe the hash brown could be replaced with a good quality vegetarian sausage? We will definitely be back.

I met a colleague for a spot of brunch at The Lemon Tree Cafe this morning. Delicious food (I'd recommend the vegan breakfast to even the most avid carnivore), great coffee, lovely atmosphere and friendly, courteous staff. Will certainly come here again! I really want to try the cakes as they look amazing. Definitely next time... Thoroughly recommended.

We used to call in here when it was Lemon next to the pie. Its changed hands. The menu is geared towards breakfast items but we chose toasties as it was near lunchtime. The food was lovely, just teething orobkems maybe with having to fetch...

Great Cafe, where the cakes are delious! My mum said "the best cappuccino I've had in a long time!" Friendly and very welcoming staff. The Lemon and Ginger loaf was my favourite.

In a word my daughter said yummy. She had the Bananatella pancakes and an oreo milkshake. The breakfast burrito I had was delicious. All reasonably priced. Lovely clean cafe.

The Service was incredible! The staff were so polite and kind. Beautiful interior lovely and bright! The food was delicious and looked incredible. Would 100% recommend for any occasion! Can't wait until I go back :)

Fantastic veggie breakfast in a lovely relaxed setting. Staff very friendly. Couldn’t leave without taking away some delicious Lemon Drizzle cake. Will definitely be back soon!
