Great food and Amazing Service plus a callback service as they get so busy !!

What a delightful place to go. Small and beautiful. The food and drinks are amazing and the staff very helpful. As clearly stated there are no toilet facilities so go before you get there. Can't wait to go back

Would have given zero if I could. Rude and not interested in our custom. Update to respond to your utter rubbish: there were two tables free. The first, for 4, was reserved, fair enough. The other for 2 had only one chair. The guy sat next to that table with his coat on an otherwise unused chair offered to move his coat but the member of staff told him not to bother. No one asked for my number, if they did then neither of us heard them. Don’t worry we won’t be coming back.

If I could give a 6 out of 5 I would! Martin and the team always go out of their way to look after their customers and so friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend !!!

Excellent cafe. Great friendly staff. Incredible food, delicious cream teas, the most amazing milkshakes you could ever have. Brilliant breakfasts. Lush lunches. My 6 year old will tell you it's the best cafe ever highly recommend. Martin and his team are phenomenal. Always our go to place when in town.

When I asked about washroom facilities the waitress said we don't have toilets and the man said that if we didnt like it we could leave, I thought that toilets had to be provided where food is served

Bijou and atmospheric cafe in a convenient location. Visited before Christmas and enjoyed their festive turkey sandwich. The lady serving was super friendly and efficient.

Absolutely fantastic, on our days off we tend to go out for breakfast and we like to try different places, no more. We have found the best breakfast in the South. The service is second to none and the coffee / food are unbelievable. I think all other cafes / businesses should call in to see how coffee and a breakfast should be done. 10 out of 10.

Absolutely fantastic stop at this beautiful cafe on our way to Torquay. The owners were so friendly and the food and drinks were delicious. The coffee is so smooth and the milkshake are stunning. See you again soon.

We chose this cafe totally by chance because it was dog friendly, and it is very people friendly too! The service was super quick and also really friendly. The menu is varied and really tempting - we will need to come back to try more! It was the best lunch I’ve had in ages.

We stumbled across this cafe looking for somewhere that was dog friendly and that could accommodate 6 of us. The lovely hostess straight away moved tables around to fit us in and made a lovely fuss of our 2 lively cocker spaniels! I cannot recommend this cafe enough - the food and the service were impeccable! They even gave our pups a warm sausage each to enjoy. Please do visit this cafe - it is amazing!!

My son and I visited this cosy establishment at the weekend and had their Choccy Wocky Do Da milkshakes. Delicious and very good value for money. Staff were very lovely too

Absolutely fantastic breakfast, the quality of the produce used and the taste… The only thing I would say is, I wish they had a smaller breakfast for a lighter appetite as the breakfast is that delicious you want to eat it all, but for a smaller appetite or a child that would mean not having room for dinner later…To be fair and truthful this had put me off going on a few occasions… Which is disappointing as I want to go…..So Boutport Cafe could we pleaseeeee have a Breakfast for the smaller appetites too….Please!?

Took my vegetarian husband here this morning. Amazing service, Great food and really cozy atmosphere. First time visiting and would definitely visit again. We both felt very welcomed.

A lovely little place offering gorgeous, hearty breakfasts, amongst many other things! Cooked fresh to order. Prices were very reasonable as well. Both gents who worked there stopped for a chat with us and made us feel welcome. There was an issue with our booking but this wasn't their fault, however they did go out of their way to make it right. Would go back again for sure.

Once again a lovey visit to the cafe. Friendly staff and great food. The staff are so nice and make the time to talk to you as a person. ( not just see you as a cash flow object ) All the food we have had had been amazing not one thing we jade not liked. You can sway things around with in reason as well with no issue. For example I had the homemade marmalade instead of cranberry sauce. This was not a issue at all. Some places now charge you for that type of thing.

My daughter and myself popped in for lunch and we were given a lovely friendly welcome by two ladies in yellow. We both plumped for a panini and I had a pot of tea while my girl had a hot chocolate. The drinks were delivered with an explanation that the food would be a few minutes, which was fine because we weren't in any rush, and meant that we knew it was prepared fresh, I was offered a teacup for my tea over the lovely big mug-sized cup that was brought, but I prefer a big cup, so I was very happy with the big cup. When our food arrived it was piping hot and came with a very generous portion of crisps and some coleslaw. Everything we were given was delicious, and we were also provided with a takeaway box to bring what we couldn't manage home with us (we are having that for tea this evening!) The cafe was extremely clean, with one of the ladies giving each table a generous spray of sanitizer and wipe down after each customer left. The only negative was how very, very, warm it was - but this was not the fault of the cafe. It's summer, the front door was wide open, and they had a fan on full power - there really was nothing else that could be done about it, and I am sure it was far worse for them working in a hot kitchen. I would definitely recommend a visit (dogs are welcome too) I think at this time of the year, we will definitely use them as a takeaway, hey... but come the cold months, definitely a cafe to find a comfy perch in to keep warm, feel welcome, and be well fed. First time here and it will not be the last. Lovely little independent café/coffee shop. We only had afternoon tea and it was delicious, the scones were huge, filled me right up. Friendly approachable staff, and dogs are more than welcome.

Lovely little coffee shop, staff are very friendly, great food for great price came to just over £25 for two lunches and drinks. We will definitely be coming back!

Saw that this was number one for breakfast so booked on line for today. Turned up early but my table had been reserved. Very friendly staff. Great menu. Ordered traditional breakfast and Horlicks. Not had that for years Horlicks was yummy just like I remember it Breakfast well presented. Full plate. Piping hot and excellent quality Would highly recommend as all the good and drinks being turned out looked equally as good as mine I will definitely be back

Very lovely Café with delicious cream tea and scones. Absolutely recommendation. Very kind staff. We arrived just before 3 o'clock. We still got our order were still allowed to enjoy in all peace, although normally 3pm closing time was.

Fantastic lunch here again today with my husband. We Had poached eggs on toast, Scrambled eggs on toast, all cooked fresh to order. Washed down with Sumer Iced latte and a Chocy Whocy do dah milkshake. Highly recommend this cafe, the staff are very friendly, professional and care about you as a person.

Really friendly staff, good tea and the food and drink arrived promptly. The place is dog friendly, I noticed dogs being treated with a plate of sausages and regulars clearly enjoy the place. The cafe is clean and nicely decorated, great curb appeal and is clearly very proud of the awards it’s won. I did have a little giggle at the sign on the blackboard which instructed customers to ‘please remain seated at ALL times’. An instruction I hope is leftover from covid days and will be removed soon! Also a shame that the cafe does not provide toilet facilities. This is the first cafe I’ve come across with indoor seating which doesn’t provide customer toilets. However the very friendly staff directed me to a pub which allows cafe customers to use their facilities. This isn’t a review of the pub but whilst I’m here, it’s not a pub I’d choose to go into, but needs must.

Been here twice this week alone which initself speaks volumes. Such a wonderful little cafe the owner who is also the chef is just so lovely top guy. Amazing food great job the server was also brilliant friendly and helpful nothing is to much trouble for these guys highly reccomend this cafe. Haven’t try the food might be nice but just being told fully booked with unfriendly staff when we can see few tables empty. Didn’t even offer to wait for next table so I feel they have double standard on customers.

A really lovely little cafe with a good selection of both food & drink. Very dog friendly. Our dog got treated to a full plate of food! Close to the station as well (10 mins). No toilet inside but owners told us of some close by toilets so no issue for us at all. Would 100% come back.

First visit today, drawn in by positive word of mouth recommendations. I came with my best friend & we ate lunch & a cream tea. It's everything you want in a local cafe, good honest food & drink & decent hard working owners & staff. It's a small place but you don't feel as if the table next door is too close & it's got a very friendly atmosphere. Chit-Chat and comments between tables didn't feel awkward. For a small cafe the choice of both drinks & food is impressive & I wish I'd arrived 15 mins earlier to try the cooked breakfast as it sounds wonderful. I settled for scrambled egg on granary which was perfectly cooked & devoured with great enjoyment. My friend had a jacket potato, not sure what filling as I was concentrating on my own food but she left a clean plate & said hers was equally as nice. I had a Dirty Chai Latte which was really well presented and tasted really good. We could have left at that point totally satisfied but decided that the cream tea needed sampling so stayed for that too & I'm delighted to report that those scones were amazing, very very fresh, certainly not been anywhere near a microwave like some cafés do (shame on all those). Crunchy on the outside soft in the middle (Armadillo !), We asked for some to take away & returned a little later to pick them up as they were freshly baked. The great reviews are well deserved & I hope mine helps to bolster their status. The staff are friendly, chatty & very welcoming. They know their business well & I hope Barnstaple looks after them because they certainly deserve to be hugely successful.

Just visited here and had lovely savoury scone tea with devon cheddar! Nice pot of tea too. Husband had sausage and egg sandwich on huge bloomer bread followed by chocolate cake of course. Smaller place than we thought with no toilet facilities but scrumpy food.

This really is the number one cafe in North Devon that we have been too. The homemade scones are just the best I’ve ever had anywhere! So much so I have been twice this week! My son loves the Oreo wacky waffles and milkshake today...
