Always excellent standard of food whether it’s takeaway or eat in. Staff have always been very friendly and helpful. Environment is clean and colourful.

Ordered a take away at 5pm as soon as the Poulton shop opened. The Mixed Starter was terrible the onion was that solid we could not cut it. the rest was soggy. The Curry had almost no sauce and very poor. It felt that the whole meal was left overs from the night before. I would definitely not recommend this curry house to anyone.

Called in without booking, not full at all. However the service was brilliant only to be outdone by the quality of the food. It was served promptly and piping hot. Well done Number 71!

Best curry house in poulton by far we've been using lemon tree for meals in restaurant and takeaways for years food always fresh hot in temperature staff are always friendly and go out of there way to accommodate would definitely recommend.

I felt ringing and indian restaurant and asking them to make a couple of naans and some chicken/seek kebabs would be pretty straight forward. I couldnt have been more wrong. The food was cold, the nan moist, the meat dry and off and mint sauce sweet. I must assume this was a cruel joke in reply to my request for spicey sauce. The only part of the meal was satisfactory was the salad, till i found out it was wet. All in all a terrible meal...couldnt recommend less. Avoid at all costs......

We have used the Lemon Tree since lockdown 2020. We have been customers in the restaurant and ordered takeaway. Since they have returned to normal they no longer want to deliver to us anymore even though we have offered to pay the delivery fee. This is poor business. You should look after the ones that kept your afloat in bad times instead of casting us aside. We will be going elsewhere from now on.

Went last week to the Lemon Tree and was underwhelmed! I ordered a dopiaza which was very bland.The staff where pleasant except for the young man addressed us all as "darling" constantly

We visited as a couple in between Christmas and New year. The service was good, and they do Indian classics very well in my opinion. I opted for a Jalfrezi which tasted excellent. My wife had a Tikka masala which she said she enjoyed too. We have since got a few takeaways from here, and the food has been consistently good, making it one of the better Indian restaurants and take aways in the area.

Welcomed in and accommodated thou we never booked. The service was great and only bettered by the food which was amazing. Everything was tasty and served piping hot. New decor is inviting and pleasant. We will Definitely be back. Support your local businesses and give it a try. You won’t be disappointed❤️

Don't you just hate junk mail dropping through your door! Ours normally goes straight in the bin but the attractive leaflet from the Lemon Tree restaurant and take away in Poulton-le-Fylde had me scanning the extensive menu. We love authentic Indian food and said "Let's give it a go". Another attractor on the front of the menu proclaimed 20% off when you collect. My wife and myself chose our selection from the menu and, whilst we had some difficulty with our choices as they were not on the online menu and it would allow me to choose either a time or collection, I decided to phone my choices through and was greeted by a very pleasant young lady who took the order and agreed the pick up time. So, at the appointed hour, I arrived at the Lemon Tree, paid and got the 20% off the very reasonable prices and then suffered the agony of having to drive home with such a pleasant aroma emanating from the bag of food. We sat down to eat and ploughed our way through some of the nicest food we have eaten in years. The food is excellent quality and plenteous and we were left with a very pleasant feeling at the end of the meal. If you could give food 6 stars, the Lemon Tree would get the award. Run of the mill it us not! Spectacular it is!!! Well done the Lemon Tree. We will be back again soon.

I never received the call from the manager which was promised when I contacted the Lemon Tree restaurant on the evening of Wednesday 27th October, after waiting almost 2 hours for a takeaway delivery. I have since written two further emails and have received no response. I was staying locally in Poulton and had invited family over for an early evening mid week meal. I placed an order online and received confirmation by email at 6:06pm. The delivery time given was 1 hour, which I thought was just about acceptable. However we were kept waiting, with no communication at all from the restaurant. At 7.15pm I called and was told the food was out for delivery. 30 minutes later I made another call and I was asked if I’d like to speak to the manager. I was then was put on hold for 5 minutes only to be told that the manager was not available and they would call me the following day. The food was eventually delivered, however the 1 hour 45 minute wait had by then spoilt our evening, an evening which should have been enjoyable and relaxing became stressful and disappointing. I had to chase them twice that evening, I then took the time to write 2 further emails which were ignored, and am now resorting to a negative review which could have been avoided if I'd been contacted. This restaurant do not seem to care at all about their customers, or about their reputation. The food is expensive and mediocre, the service dreadful. I see there are plenty of poor google reviews along the same lines. Surely if they cannot cope with delivering food within a decent time frame they should not be offering this service?

Over the years we've got used to waiting for meals longer than expected - both as takeaways and eat-ins. But this was the first time we've had one delivered 24 hours early ! Maybe it serves me right for ordering on line rather than phoning through but I just didn't have the heart to send it back - just made a space in fridge instead and warned the microwave it would be working overtime the next night..It's a while since we have had meal in or from this restaurant but we'd heard decent things about it having improved so took a chance opting for a delivered takeaway than a Covid conscious meal in.Sadly, although there was nothing actually wrong with the meal, it fell well short of being special - more a case of "one pot" cooking with each main course and even one of the starters looking and tasting much the same. We couldn't be accused of playing it safe - our selection ranged from Lamb Nihari and Chicken Chat to North Indian Special Chicken. With a roti, rice and a Chana Saag side dish we couldn't complain about the quality or the price - it was just the similarity of everything which was a disappointment. And we certainly didn't have to wait!

How can I give even 1 star when you order online, confirm by phone that they have your order then nothing turns up at all! Not a phone call or email to apologise, nothing. This kind of service is way beyond poor. Won’t give you the chance to do it a second time. My credit better be quicker than your service.

This is the second time we have ordered from here during lockdown. Both times we have been told it will take an hour, but it takes 2 hours. Waiting all that time stops you from even enjoying it. Tonight I rang after an hour and a half & was told the foods ready, we are just waiting for a driver, 25 minutes later our food arrives, it is nice tasting food, but it's not all that hot, all that waiting around for the drivers. Not cheap at £35 for the 3 of us either. I've eaten at the restaurant & it is lovely, the time it takes for a takeaway is far too long, we wont be ordering again.

We’ve eaten at the Lemon Tree many times and had some lovely meals. We tried takeaway tonight for the first time and was really disappointed! I had Chef Special Biriyani, it was tasteless. The rice and particularly the sauce was flavourless. I struggled on but ended up leaving half of it. My husband had Chicken Lahore and was also unimpressed. The garlic naan was small and again tasteless. We do understand the problems COVID restrictions are causing in kitchens but it will be some time before we try again.

We had a take away delivered to our campsite and was absoloutly delish, best take away I’ve had and quick delivery. Worth 5 stars even though it had been tipped up a bit which caused some spillage.

Very useful to be able to have a good takeaway in these times. Food is excellent however ordering via Just Eat expensive ie their charges are all passed on to the customer. Use Foodhub instead as otherwise it’s expensive . (£1.75 for a chapatti is a bit rich!)

Ordered for the first time a few weeks ago All the dishes were excellent different to other dishes we have had in the past We tried a couple of the chef specials very flavourful spiced well and vegetables nicely cooked The tandoori chicken was beautiful and the sauce with it was amazing Definitely use again when we want a real treat Thanks

We called into The Lemon Tree on Saturday 29th February at 8pm on the off chance they had a table for 2. After leaving us to look at the menu we order our first and only drinks and our menu choices. What can we say other than a total disappointment. After 50mins we still hadn't received our main course. we hadn't been asked if we would like anymore drinks. I approached the bar to ask how long it was going to be and was abruptly told 2 minutes by the bar tender. At this point we should have paid for our drinks and left.Part of our main course was literally plonked on the table with zero amount of service . Not much can go wrong with a jar of korma sauce & pilau rice.The chapati still in the plastic bag that they had obviously microwaved it in. We waited for the Tandoori sizzler. What then arrived was nothing more than 1 prawn , a pathetic looking chicken drumstick, some other meat product that was unrecognisable and lamb that was tough as old boots and when cut into it was grey. It was totally inedible.After we had eaten, still no additional drinks were offered us we asked for the bill and explained about the Tandoori sizzler, no apology given and the waiter just walked off. Our bill was put on the table with 2 after eight mints by a miserable looking waitress. There was no communication by her at all. Its fair to say if you want a takeaway you'll probably be ok because they're wizzing out the door. If you want a nice meal with any amount of service I wouldn't bother.

Let me begin by saying my previous review just disappeared!! I visited here in a group of 5 for my eldest daughter's Birthday. All of us had curries and we all like them medium to hot. Disappointed. All of us said they were bland and lacking spice and were on the very mild side. Even the vindaloo was not hot. My curry was gluten and dairy free on request, and was so mild it could have passed as a stew. It must have been an off night as the other reviewers had better experiences here. We ate here as usual on NYE. We've been eating here since it first opened and have always enjoyed it. We pre booked our table but still had to wait 40 minutes to be seated. Service was good and was given the bill which I took to the till to pay. On handing it over, three staff were huddled round talking about my bill and after about 5 minutes it was handed back to me and had been altered showing the bill was greater than before. I questioned this and they said that they had missed a main course off. I accepted this but told them that once a bill has been presented to a customer who is waiting to pay, it should not be altered. I paid the bill but on checking it again when I got home, I found that I had been charged £10.90 for a small beer and a diet coke - absolute rip off. I shall be contacting them for a refund. The food was okay but it seems that the menu pricing structure has changed thus making the meals more expensive.Unfortunately I have had to leave this poor review for the benefit of others. I shall be very reluctant to visit again but if I do I will scrutinise my bill. I certainly hope that the owner reads these reviews as restorative action is needed to get the place back to 5 stars, based on recent reviews.

We have never been to the Lemon Tree before and will be eating at the restaurant on Christmas day so we thought we would order a takeaway to sample the food.The food was amazing, freshly cooked and bursting with flavours. We had chicken tikka dupiaza and keema rogan josh with coriander rice. Both plates were completely empty. Looking forward to Christmas day.

Visited here with family for a birthday meal. It must have been an off night compared to other reviews. I would struggle to rate The Lemon Tree highly. I was served with a 'chicken curry' which was suggested by staff member because I had to have my food wheat gluten and dairy free. Unfortunately best description of this is Chicken Tikka Casserole!! It was extremely bland and flavourless. Even though it was described to me as medium. Will not be visiting here again.

Wasn't very busy when we arrived at 6:30, but by the time we left nearly all the tables were taken. Service was quick and staff were helpful but not very smiley (please smile more - you have a great smile). Food was delicious and also had a takeaway from here which was also delicious. We went as a group of 11 for a meal at this restaurant - as a surprise birthday meal for my partner. We got sat down at the pre-booked table for 7. We then got served by a very short and miserable waiter who wouldn’t give us the time of day. Poppadoms came out at 7.45 (£27.80 for 2 poppadoms each and chutney!!) once the poppadoms we’re finished (about 8) it took until 9.15 for the food to come out to us. Unbelievable. The food was lukewarm - tasteful but lukewarm. We then finished that and I had sorted out a cake for the birthday boy. They left us sat for 30 mins after clearing the plates before I had to go up and ask about the cake. They then lit the candles and left it in the kitchen - causing the wax to melt onto the cake - not good. We got the cake after 15 mins of repetitive walking to the bar and asking about it.

We were a group of 10. We ordered a variety of curries but the 5 chicken korma were cold and sweet. Why? Since when a chicken Korma is a sweet dish. As I mentioned, they were served cold as well as the rice. Although tge restaurant was almost empty-Monday- the service was slow and the staff was more interested in talking to each other than checking our order and the quality of the food. The deco of the place is tacky. Cheap high heel sculptures...?

Oh dear, what has happened to the Lemon Tree? Have been visiting regularly since it opened and have always had a positive experience. But after a few months absence we returned for a meal last night and were not impressed at all. The service was very poor, over a hour's wait for food is not acceptable and when it finally did arrive it was not up to the usual standard. My meal was served in a sizzling hot dish but the meat inside was barely warm. We were offered a complimentary drink at the end but then discovered that an extra round of drinks had been added to our bill!

Quick service. Food was lovely. We had the korma, dansak and massala. Not very adventurous but very tasty! The restaurant was a little cold even though there was a few tables in and noticed another table sat with their coats on. So if the air con could be turned up a little more, it would have been more enjoyable.

Booked for a family party. From the moment we entered we felt that we were unwanted. The service was terrible, food not that much better. Wish we had not bothered , in fact we won’t ever bother again. Thanks for ruining the birthday celebrations

Place is smaller than our last visit quite a while ago but still the same amazing food and service. Food excellent and cannot fault the price either. The service was very attentive without feeling rushed seems to be a very popular take out too.

With a group of friends we chose this restaurant to finish our evening off. The welcome was lovely and even though it was a Monday there were a few diners in.

We went as we'd heard so many people telling us this place was amazing.

Our party of fourteen were booked in here the other night having always had a good experience in the past. Unfortunately, on this occasion, all was not good. The place was very overcrowded and the table allocated to us just wasn't big enough, it would have been comfortable for ten people. This meant we were elbow to elbow with a couple of the guys sat at the corner of the table and really struggling to eat in comfort. I know it is close to Christmas but it's no excuse, there should be a cap on numbers. We waited ages for drinks to arrive and even longer for the food. When it did finally come the food was a mixed bag with some really enjoying it and others saying it was too hot (spicy) and in my case only luke warm and a little bland. The staff did their best but I just don't think there were enough of them for the numbers. The bill was reasonable so no complaints about prices but to be honest I'd rather pay more for a better experience.

When we arrived for our pre booked reservation the table wasn't quite ready which was ok given that it was a busy Saturday night . After taking our drinks order we were given the menu which was quite extensive and well put together. Having ordered just mains and side dishes we eagerly waited and waited and waited for our food which took an age to appear. After many requests it finally arrived and was plonked down by our dour and uninterested waiter who couldn't care less . To their credit the food was delicious and plentiful. The problem here just like many Indian restaurants is the obsession with the many takeaways which take precedence over the diners . Nice food but abysmal service. Time for a change !! .

The lemon tree used to be a nice place,good food and service. Not anymore. Last few times its been going downhill but saturday night was the last straw. Poor service, miserable waiter and the worst curry ive had in a long time.

Went to the Lemon Tree with a group of my biker mates who can get quite noisy. However the lemon tree staff treated us very well great service a very good Thursday special menu. In the town of Poulton lots of car parks easy walking distance. Lots of pubs to visit for a pre dinner drink.

Came here after previous nights disappointing meal at a local hotel. Look at the reviews so gave it a try. The Lemon Tree Biryani was excellent and well served with a wonderfully thickened sauce. This place is a grest Indian the staff pleasant and attentive and price is very reasonable. Highly recommend this splendid restaurant.

I've been here twice with my family while in holiday in the area, and we love it!

I have not been to this restaurant for several years - no fault of theirs. I was on a bus from Blackpool which went as far as Poulton.. It was evening so I decided to call at the Lemon Tree. It was early evening, so the restaurant was empty, The service was excellent, the food 5***. I was so impressed, I went for a takeaway, the waiter remembered me and asked if I wanted a table for one, I said, on this occasion I wanted a takeaway; again the service was excellent, the food excellent. I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.

If u like good value and tasty Indian food served in generous portions, head to the Lemon Tree. There is amazing choice. Service is attentive and unrushed. Both Kingfisher and Cobra are on draft if beer is ur tipple, nice wine choice if not. Gets a bit noisy after 10 pm when the watering hole next door goes into night club mode.

Visited here with the partner! First time we have both been here. Food was tasty, service was good, plenty of people came in for takeaway food so I’m guessing you can take out.

My Dad took me to the Lemon tree last night for dinner. The service was great, staff couldn't do enough to help. Food was delicious and came without much of wait even though they were busy. My only small comment was as it was a Friday night we had very rowdy tables on both sides which made it quite noisy. However I would expect this on a Friday night.

Why have stickers on the window advertising you take Amex cards as payment and then come up with some blag why you don’t as soon as you see the card upon payment? The food itself was fairly average run of the mill.

Beautiful looking restaurant and tasty food at a reasonable price, good service too. Only complaint, the waiters stood directly behind us as at the back of the room. I assumed they were there to keep an eye on customers to see if they needed anything. But all stood together like security staff while chatting to each other didn’t look good. I found this a little intimidating while trying to enjoy my meal.

Went to lemon tree for the first time on Saturday night. There were four of us and we had set meal for four, it was delicious! Plenty of staff who were very polite and attentive. Been here before but gone downhill in my opinion. Poppadoms sent back as old and chewy and had to ask them to warm my curry up as it was cold. All done with no problem but put me off and made me feel like an awkward customer. Doubt I would go back and I love a curry ( chicken madras not the best I have had in many an Indian restaurant either) Will be trying somewhere else in future.

Been a while since we last ate here but there are times when only a curry will do. And we weren't disappointed. Poppadoms and chutneys to start and Chicken Korahai and Rogan Josh as mains with pilau rice, naan bread and bombay potatoes. Top notch. Good portions and reasonably priced with polite and friendly staff all topped off with complimentary drinks. Highly recommend this place. Will definitely be back.

A cracking Bangladeshi restaurant in my experience consistently delivering high quality dishes over many years. Always exceptional and well balanced service, a great team with a fun and understanding approach to customers. Fully deserves it's reputation as a high class restaurant.

Really enjoyed the food, service was great. Didn't know they did such a reasonably priced mid week menu. We'll be back!

The Lemon Tree is by far the best Indian restaurant around. The menu is varied and the food is always served to perfection. We have eaten many dishes here and never been disappointed. The whole family loves this place. I even had my wedding reception and retirement do here The staff are brilliant and a credit to the restaurant. You will not be disappointed. Give this place a try and you'll become a regular.

Welcoming friendly and attentive staff as we arrived unplanned. The restaurant is really nicely decorated . Service quick and food is just so lovely, good value for money. Highly recommended. Well done lemon tree!

Visited tonight for an early meal and wasn't disappointed. The food and service were excellent. A good range of starters and mains available on the £8.50 three course meal deal. Definitely worth visiting if your in Poulton.

Haven't been for a long time, and really enjoyed the food, the staff recommended a couple of their speciality dishes for a change, which were excellent, the owner was really friendly and welcoming, which made the visit more enjoyable, will definitely return.
