Really friendly and quick service. Very tasty curries with generous portions. Had a madras that was probably the most flavoursome I've ever had, but it could have been a bit spicier for my tastes. Other than that, really good.

Placed an order to collect and was told be ready in 40 mins. I left it about 45 mins and went to collect it. Long story short took my money as soon as I was through the door food wasn't even ready. I sat patiently for 10 mins to then be told oh we are very busy, sorry love. I will give you free poppadoms for the wait. 😆 finally got the food 20 mins later, went home. I had ordered 2 butter chicken, what I was given was not butter chicken, there was water in the sauce which looked like the sauce had split. I had one bite of chicken and it wasn't even nice. Will not be ordering from here again. Absolute wastes of money . 😡

Ordered food for delivery . They left it outside the house for 5 minutes before we realised . When I called they were rude on the phone and said “ so what it was in a bag “ very rude . The food was average at best . And won’t be getting food from these clowns again .

Absolutely disgraceful. Rang at 7.16pm told would be up to an hour and half. Rang after that time to be told the food order would be another 15 mins. Again after this time had lapsed was told would be another 15 mins. When I said I was not happy with this I was argued with and told I rang at 7.30 which I have on my phone log as 7.16. Very very bad customer service and quite frankly only ever had mediocre food from this place as our favourite in the town is closed.

Honestly the best Indian takeaway both me and the wife have ever had! Thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Curry isn't oily at all, really tasty and great portions. Nan breads freshly made right infront of you so you know its fresh. Wish I was staying longer so I could have another meal! Well done Alminar Tandoori.

Very very good food, a little expensive but worth it when you get your food. Never any left, or waste. We had our food delivered, it was a good bit late, but was still hot & the delivery driver apologised straight away for the food being late. Sometimes you have to wait for good things. Always great food.

Ordered food waited ages then driver rings tells me hes here but wasnt so rang him he was at different park 2 min up rd waited 1 min longer for him not to arrive so cancelled food

A family ran business, Al Minar has been an established Indian cuisine takeaway for many years. A friendly, experienced team and great tasting, quality food makes it an ideal choice for the big night in. My Indian takeaway of choice by a long way.

Had Korma, Tikka Masala, Pilau rice and Mushroom Rice, 2 x types on Nan bread and chips. Fast delivery, piping hot and really good quality food. Excellent

I ordered food via Just Eat and on arrival found 2x Naans missing so i phoned straight away. I was told theyd speak to the driver. With no response and a no show i phoned again. To be told they would credit the food missing. However they phoned up a few minutes later to say they were in the order and driver can confirm? This is a blatent lie as have two witnesses and CCTV coverage of my front door which shows no Naans sticking out of the order!! I will not be using this RIP OFF takeaway again. Be very wary people

2 hours to deliver food. It is literally 5 minute drive from my house. Called twice and was told waiting on a driver. Each time, so apparently been waiting on a fmdriver for nearly an hour, therefore my food has been sat there for an hour. Man who answered the phone extrenely rude

Was my go to indian for many many years, since i was small child. Always had the chicken tikka masala, set the standard for me over the years, rich red sauce and lovely tender chicken. no longer the case after 2 visits and the guy saying he promises its the same, its sadly not. watery brown coloured un-smooth mess. not sure whats happened here but the curries gone down hill massively. clay ovens up the road as well as fayez and mehrin. they need to fix it or they ill crumble. sadly i wont be back.

Just ordered today at 8.pm our meal was bland and very, very ordinary. This was the second time we didn't eat the food and sadly the last time I will be ordering from this place. Very poor quality.

Called via 'Just Eat' to org der a takeaway. I know things are difficult at present due to the vit rus scare, but ordered in good time and was promised a 6.30 pm delivery. They were to phone me at 5.40 to confirm the order..They did not. At 6.00 pm I phoned, and they they said the food would arrive at 6.45pm. At 7.25pm...no food. I attempted numerous times to phone them., but it was always engaged, and I suspect the phone was off the hook..Had to call round to the place at about 7.35pm, and they had not even got the order ready. I waited and took it home myself. The food was Ok, but the service is diabolical. We shall never use them again

Not even eaten it what a waste of 20 quid thrown it straight in the bin. Got the garlic fry and what I got was just a bland tub of onions, with dry lamb tikka init barely a harb or spice or even a pepper in sight cost me 8.50 for fried onions absolutely disgusted.

We ordered a set meal for four and were told it would be delivered in 40 mins we actually had to wait an hour and a half. The food was cold the meat tough and the starters inedible . We have used them a lot in the past but will not be doing so again

I used to use this take away a lot but in the last 2 years every meal ordered is nowhere like it used to be ,im not sure why and its sad as I go elsewhere now for my take aways , PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A RESTAURANT , ITS ONLY A TAKE AWAY

Well, what can I say, some exceptional food cooked at this place. Every time I’ve ate from this place I feel like eating even more. Wonderful staff and a great boss, very knowledgeable and a great guy - he always sorts my kids out which is always nice. Will be visiting these guys again. You want quality, refined and fresh food then there can be no one better than Al Minar. Thank you :-)

I'm a curry fiend and have tried every curry house within 25 square miles but I always return to this one regular as the curries are simply the best. I like them hot & spicy and they are always hot & spicy. Not like others where you order a vindaloo and it has the strength of a madras. They give good size portions. Staff are friendly. Food quality is very high. I highly recommend

Normally good food and service. However tonight they got the order wrong and an item was missing. Rang up to be told “we can give it you next time” replied “No we would like it now” but the person hung up. Rang them back to be told by a second person “you not paid” 🥴 oh dear very bad customer service and turns out the food was not good either. Won’t be ordering again !!!

Ordered 3 weeks ago got order wrong , they said remind us next time you order. Ordered last night waited nearly 2 hours. 1st time we phoned up got told driver had left with food. Rang 30 mins later they hung up on us. When driver arrived he said he had just been given the order......and there was nothing to make up for the last order being wrong......lost my custom now

I feel pretty awful writing a bad review, given that most reviewers really rate this place. The guy who took the order was really friendly and the food arrived in good time, however, the most important element - the food - was a real let down. We had a butter chicken, Lamb Pathia and a Murgh Tikka Chargha. All of the meals had the same consistency. I can't speak for the Tikka Chargha but the Pathia and butter chicken tasted nothing like they were supposed to. The Pathia was madras hot with chewy, fatty, under cooked lamb. The butter chicken was more like a coarse soup than a creamy, smooth sauce. None of the ingredients in any of the meals had been sufficiently marinated, so the flavours were not infused, giving the food a strong, raw taste. Very poor.

I do like this place. It is genuine. It is authentic. You can watch the food being cooked from an open kitchen. It is not like one of those curry houses that does everything from pizza to kebabs and burgers etc. In my experience, they tend to produce poor food. This stuff is the real deal and I would recommend. The Phal is lovely and very hot. The only comment I would make is about the chicken. I am not sure it is chicken. It tastes slightly different to the meat I'm used to and the texture is very strange. Maybe this is just a sourcing problem but if that was sorted I would love it.

Well what can I say, we have ordered from these since they opened never any issues some times when busy you wait. But today food came but our 2ltr pop didn't, we called back and few mins later it came we paid £2.50 the one given was a multi pack for 2 for 2.50 or 1 for 1.99 and only 1.5lt. We called to ask why we only got 1.5 to be told mistake on web page and if not happy go some were else. Mmm not good PR to be told that not good at all🤔

The BEST takeaway we know. Always perfect - very polite staff- superb food and we've been using them for over 10 years.

I had no idea takeaway food could get this good 👀👌 Friendly Staff whilst being efficient.

Used Al Minar quite a lot over the years and always had a decent meal, even my wife will eat from here and she isn't a curry lover. My favourite choice, the Kachchi biryani is quite spicy and a large portion with the separate curry sauce. As previously mentioned the service can be very slow, the prices top end and the delivery charge probably one of the highest in the area but I've never had to wait more than 15mins over the estimated time Large choice on the menu with something for everyone and well cooked tasty food.

A couple of comments... Firstly the chicken: I'm not sure what they were using, but the chicken was poor quality, unfortunately. Secondly the service: the food wasn't ready to collect when stated, which was annoying. No real apology either, though we were given a free starter and poppadoms, so that's not too bad. I found it hard to rate this place, as this is the first we've tried in the area - and some people have rated it higher. Maybe we were just unlucky this time, but I wouldn't rush to return in a hurry.

Myself and the kids ordered on Saturday night its been a while since I ordered from alminar, so glad we did the Rogan josh was delicious as was the rest of the food.it arrived hot and didn't have to wait that long will definitely be ordering again.

Extremely disappointed with what we ordered their was hardly any meat on the mixed kebabs it was all lettuce and garlic mayo and the lamb burger looked like a piece of cardboard their was nothing to it the bun was twice the size of the burger its ridiculous i could've made one better myself Won't be ordering from there again

Pedimos la comida por una "et donde, salsas, poppadum trozos de pollo tikka od como empezó, arroz, champiñones bhaji pilau y te ofrecen el cordero dupiaza comida principal. Preguntamos si podíamos sustituir el plato de cordero con un pollo? El era tan complaciente y dispuesto a esto y explicó que sólo tienes que pagar una pequeña tarifa (que estaban más que dispuestos a hacer!)

Gran degustación de comida para llevar, por desgracia, por el momento tienes que has tenido que comer su propio extremidades para sobrevivir. No tengo ni idea de cómo pueden tardar mucho tiempo para preparar la comida. No hay una cola enorme, ya que sólo parece justo para producir comida de la cocina a intervalos decepcionantemente poco frecuente.

Pedí un plato a las 6:45 para mí y mi madre, me dijeron que la comida sería aquí en aproximadamente 7:30 - 7:50 todavía no había señal de nuestra comida, así que llamamos para ver dónde estaba! Nos dijeron que era aún sería otra media hora de espera! A mitad 8 llamamos de nuevo como haber estado esperando casi 2 horas, me dijeron que la comida sería aquí en 5 minutos, pero de hecho no llegó hasta las 9:00! Cuando nos dieron nuestra comida era tibio y hubiéramos esperado que el tiempo que ya no estaba con hambre!

Nice curries ... when you eventually get them I have had 2 occasions within the past 3 weeks where I have placed an order and there has been an item missing (normally food) and have been waiting over an hour for a replacement I would have much rather ordered from Michaels its far nicer

Excelente comida siempre bien hecho. Si te esperas en la tienda se puede ver tu comida. Muy limpio y puede ser entregado por una pequeña tarifa. Sólo negativo es que puede tomar 45 minutos para la comida cocinada, pero lo veo como una buena cosa tiene su fresco y no sólo calentados.

Have ordered from Al Minar on several occasions. The food is constantly good but unfortunately they let themselves down with very slow delivery. Always promise approx 40 mins but usually between 1 and 1 half hours - far too long to wait.

They take there time to cook the food which is why they get the taste good Great Indian food

For many years the only Indian worth going to in Fleetwood. Food is always good. Staff are friendly enough. I find the price is a little dear for the end result. Never had a bad meal from there.

My family have used Al minar for years and the food has always been good quality and consistant,however our last 3 meals have been not very nice at all the wait time for delivery increased from 45 mins to 1hr 10 mins with food arriving warm but not hot ,on one occasion after a hour wait we where delivered someone elses order so had to wait again,but the service is not my reason for the updated review our last meal is as a family we ordered 3 chicken dishes + rices breads ect to share between 5 whilst eating I thought the chicken in my dish was a funny texture so I only ate 2 pieces my daughters also said there chicken tikka was not right ..within less than a hour one of my daughters had tummy pains throughout the night all 5 of us where effected with pains and diahorhea, I have no idea whats happened at the Alminar new cook?,bad batch of chicken ?,such a shame the service and food has gone downhill .

By far the best Indian food on the Fylde coast. Great value for money, never had a bad meal from here, plentiful, authentic flavours. Open plan spotless kitchen so you can see your food being cooked if you want to. Delivery charges reasonable. Meat is always well marinated which doesn't seem to happen in other places. Great special banquets, The Wednesday night banquet is a must. Lovely professional staff. Would highly recommend. i have been having food from here for the last 15 years, never disappoints.

If you like Indian food,give it a whirl,you will not be disappointed,I have been going for 15 years and tried loads of other Indians during this time..none came close to Alminar .No choice of a sit-down (takeaway only) but well worth a try!!! John ftfc

I have been ordering from here since it opened and always found the food to be nice and tasty,delivery service can be a little slow and on occassions they have sent out the wrong order, but all in all consistant fresh flavoursome food

I quite often visit this takeaway at the weekends.My favourite dish is there chicken tikka kebab sandwich. The bread wrap I cooked to perfection and the filling is extremely tasty.For a change I had the Korma at the weekend with Pilau rice, it didn't disappoint. The chicken perfectly cooked. The sauce was very tasty, not too coloured/oily. It also wasn't too overpowering and sickly, but just right.Will be definitely be returning again for next weekends treat.

It's a shame they don't have a restaurant too as it would blow another Indian Restaurant out of the water with the food. Lots of choice. The Sunday night special is a bargain not worth putting the oven on to cook!! Love the chicken pakoras here they are fab. Garlic rice. Balti Akbari Cham Cham. I agree with the other reviewer it's a shame more people haven't put a review on. Think the other review is more sour grapes than a food review?? You do need to wait a while for food but at least it's fresh and cooked properly. I like that you can see the staff cooking it in the open kitchen.

We visited this place for a takeaway on Sunday evening , we had been at a fundraising day earlier that day and won this voucher ... The hassle we had to get this voucher valid was nothing but hassle ? Trying to say they should of known about this voucher first , why is there 2 different handwriting s ... Not my problem and after 20 mins sorting this , finally they took our order .. We waited close to an hour for our food and it was not worth it at all ... Bland tasteless food we will not return , this place used to be a good takeaway however I would rather cook my own ( it will Taste better) shame it was clear that they can't be bothered

I have used the al minar takeaway to satisfy my need for Indian food for well over 15 years and am shocked it has no reviews. Even during saturday night you will not wait over 45 mins for this brilliant food. You can stand in the shop and watch the lads make your curry. Very tasty food. Thy make there own mint yogurt chilli dip for the poppadoms and it is unreal .
