I had the best quiche ever last week (Bacon & Blue cheese) now I'm not really a quiche fan but this was amazing so light and tasty and homemade by Nikki there was also a spare piece so I had another bit the next day too! Everything that Nikki makes is homemade and is super tasty and freshly made its the best coffee shop ever, it is definately worth a visit.

This truly is the best coffee shop ever! From the New Zealand coffee to all the wonderful food and amazing cakes that are all home made by Nikki. Today I had Bacon & Blue Cheese quiche and I can honestly say it's the best quiche I have ever tasted (and to be honest I'm not really a quiche fan) it was just so light and incredibly tasty. The Hideaway has such a great menu which is updated daily on facebook and instagram and service is always second to none. Thank you Nikki and all the staff at Langford Hideaway

Stopped here for lunch (based on reviews). The food was lovely and as good as all the reviews! Such a lovely selection of goodies on offer and at good prices. The only downside is the size as it means there is very limited seating, made worse by Covid making everyone spread out so that 3 separate people took up all the available indoor seating. Still, take away is an option so that is what we did. Can't wait to go back! (the facebook page updates daily to show the menu for the day)

It's called Hideaway because it's tucked away back from the main road and you could drive past without spotting the small sign flagging up where you need to go - keep an eye out for it opposite the petrol station and make use of the free on street parking nearby. We combined our visit, prompted by curiosity as the name was a new one to me and I couldn't recall it catching me eye whenever I drove through Langford, with a stroll along the river because, well, there's not a lot else to do in these parts. But the welcome is warm, the coffee is good, the premises are a bit cramped but the customers were just as cheery as the staff and we all managed to sort out sufficient space. As well as catering to drop-ins there's obviously a steady trade from locals picking up takeaways of daily specials, pies and the like. The specials menu is themed according to the day of the week - jacket spud on Monday, a clever take on a roast on Friday, for example - but generous sausage and bacon baps, superfood salads and other treats are laid on every day. The home-made sausage rolls packed with more meat than half a dozen Greggs versions (and much tastier) are recommended, cakes were good too - as well as a light lunch we headed off with bags full of goodies for later. We don't pass this way that often, but we will definitely be back.

What a hidden gem! Not only is the food to die for - the owner is an absolute star. She’s currently making delicious (and very reasonably priced) takeaways meals for those who cannot get out at the moment including pies and lasagnes. The vegetarian sausage rolls are the best I’ve ever had! She’s a shining star for the local community in these difficult times. Will definitely be back to sample some of those delicious brownies and home made cakes!

We stopped off at the Langford Hideaway for a quick bite to eat during our week off. We had heard great things about it, so we thought we would drop by and see for ourselves. We were warmly welcomed by the very polite and cheerful staff. I ordered a latte which was spot on, my wife had a hot chocolate with all the toppings! They have a wonderful array of various homemade cakes and savouries, the homemade sausage roll caught my eye so I had to try it. It was absolutely delicious! My wife had the Sausage and egg bap which she also claimed was delicious! Everything is fresh and packs so much flavour! I highly recommend this delightful little cafe to anyone. I will certainly be re visiting.

Been there several times in the last week or so. Tiny cafe hidden away from the main road, but almost opposite the petrol station. Friendly staff and all food made ( including the pie and sausage roll fillings) and prepared by the Kiwi owner. Fantastic sausage rolls and pies. I’ve had the chicken and ham pies, but I’m waiting for the Kiwi favourites of mince and cheese and steak and cheese, yum!!!

What a gem, such a super treasure to have local with the amazing Kiwi Nicki. Breakfasts are top notch and such lovely touch’s like the home cooked breads with soup etc. The best poached eggs and great brews. As it’s super cute pocket-sized stop and popular with locals there is always the chance it could be busy. If on the rare occasion this is the case don’t be put off the food is well worth the wait. Happy returning customer

I’ve been meaning to visit for a while and I finally did on Monday. Why on earth did I leave it so long? I had smoked salmon and poached eggs on a toasted bagel and it was melt in the mouth delicious. Poached eggs cooked to perfection, no skimping on the smoked salmon and the bagel toasted lightly. I savoured every mouthful. I also had a latte made with NZ Ozone coffee beans - oh wow! A beautiful, smokey but not bitter flavour. Finally a banana and pineapple cake which matched the rest of my meal for excellence and flavour.

I was really excited to visit the hideaway with my mum and hubby. The food was exactly what we wanted, fresh and kiwi inspired breakfast. The owner was lovely and happy to talk even while serving and running everything. The food was simply lovely. We enjoyed every bit! My mum was surprised but very happy to get homemade tomato sauce with her bacon and egg pie. My sweetcorn cakes were delish!

I was visiting my parents who live in Langford from the USA for a month and stumbled across this hidden gem! Now having lived outside the UK for 15 years I am partial when I come back to England to fresh, homemade, good food! After meeting the owner and trying the food the 2nd day of my visit I think I came back a total of 15 times during my 30 day visit! From the bacon and sausage baps, to the full English breakfast and don’t get me started on the fresh made sausage rolls! I think I put a stone in weight on during my visit! Regardless if you want fresh cooked food oh and her amazing home baked bread! you won’t be disappointed! Oh and the sarcasm from the owner is why I kept coming back as well as the food. She is awesome!

I love this place, the lady is fun and friendly and always running around doing as much as she can. The food is gorgeous and I regularly take a stash home to treat my family . If you want great quality food, bubbly service and a coffee that ticks all the boxes then this is for you ! However if you are expecting fast food you will be disappointed ...you can't rush freshly cooked food, it's a cute , kookie cafe bursting with character.

Decided to try this cafe and support a local business. Initially we had a warm welcome but the owner became very sarcastic when asked more than one question. Despite there being as many staff as customers we had to wait ages for our three coffees and three sausage and egg rolls. I found the rolls to be a bit pricey but consoled myself by thinking the sausages seemed of decent quality and them being cooked fresh. We decided not to stay for a slice of cake as there was a very limited choice and a couple of the cakes on display were apparently made to order and reserved. Won’t rush back and prefer to go to Langford garden centre cafe.

Took the parents out on Sunday and visited Anwick Garden Centre. After having a wander around the Garden Centre and purchasing a few items, we went into the cafe to have a drink and chose to dine, as it was lunch time (13:30ish). I went with the house Cheese Burger and both parents went with the Sunday Roast (on this occasion Beef). I had a can of soda (Vimto) and the parents each had a pot of tea. Food wise, the burger was well cooked and chips and salad were also good and overall it was a great portion for the price. The parents both really enjoyed the beef and the roast potatoes, the only issue being the vegetables, both would have preferred it slightly more cooked, and father would have liked a slight larger vegetable portion. Overall though, we’ll be visiting again, and I would recommend a visit if you’re in the area…
