The Landing Pad Cafe in Amber Valley

Nice cafe inside a large charity warehouse called The Hanger just outside of Alfreton on a small retail park. The cakes looked homemade and were very nice.

Visited the hanger air ambulance shop just outside of Alfreton with 6 members of the family and popped in to the Landing Pad Cafe. Other members of the family all had homemade cafes whilst i had a sausage roll and we all had drinks. The price was very reasonable. The cafe is very clean and tidy and all the staff are very polite and friendly. All with a smile in their faces. The place also has customer toilets. We often do pop in when visiting our son and grandkids

Always friendly when serving , drinks hot quick service . Good selection of cakes, all for air ambulance. I had a sausage cob. It was nice . Clean area . Nice atmosphere

Very friendly , happy cafe inside the air ambulance charity shop(the hanger) in Somercotes Derbyshire. Cakes are superb, scones delish and staff are absolutely smashing. Do visit and help the air ambulance to raise cash at the same time. Fabulous afternoon spent eating and browsing the charity shop.

Thank you for the gorgeous salted caramel birthday cake for my daughters 16 th birthday. It was beautifully moist and full of flavour and everyone enjoyed it.

Love visiting here, come every couple of weeks. The best coffee around and they have Skimmed milk (bonus), fabulous cakes, gluten options available too.The staff are so lovely, very helpful, so friendly nothing is too much trouble. They done so well during this pandemic.

First time here. Visiting my mum we decided to head over. The hanger is a great charity shop large varity and great prices. Followed by coffee and cake at the landing pad which was delicious.

I make a point of visiting the landing pad everytime I'm in the area. I live in northern Ireland and visit friends/family in the area. Service with a smile, fast, efficient and friendly. Always a great selection of cakes, breads and savories. I've enjoyed my visits so much I came along as a volunteer for a day when I had some free time during the summer. Deb and the team were very welcoming, definately will be back again soon.

We visit here regularly usually after browsing the hanger and always enjoy a nice cuppa and slice of cake everytime we visit, the cakes are always fresh and homemade, I particularly love there Ferrero Rocher cake, the portions are really good and the prices are very reasonable too. I cant believe its run by amazing volunteers and the standards are that of a high street cafe! Carry on the great work!! I highly recommend

popped in with the wife she took that long I wandered off and found this little cafe in the corner of the shop. I've had lots of coffee but this is first class and served by smiling staff and cake so many cakes how can I not come back to try more.

A lot of servers behind the counter but with it a lot of confusion so took a long time to get served with food

Called here the other month Large car parking and very large retailer selling clothes and bric-à-brac alongside a very nice cafe area serving teas cakes and snaks And as the retailer is charity based A good place to visit Situated on small retail park

The Landing Pad is a cafe within The Hanger (Air Ambulance) charity shop. Formerly an Aldi store, so the shop is huge. The cafe seems to sell only cakes and scones, but the cakes are all different varieties, they look lovely. Had a piece of Bakewell cake/slice, gorgeous. Large pot of tea too. Coffees, cold drinks and cobs were on sale on the day I visited. What a great idea. Not only raising funds via the charity shop but also via this lovely cafe, which isn't that big, but there is some outdoor seating too. I would recommend a visit if you are in the area. Bargains and Cake !!
