Jenny was brilliant from beginning to start in helping with my partners 30th birthday. We had it in the conservatory. Buffet food was great and all the staff were very attentive and helpful. Would defo recommend.

When booking, checked that there were veggie and vegan options but on the day, the veggie option was a roast with no meat and the vegan option was a plate of veg and 4 roasties. Also no vegan pudding available which was disappointing given if specifically checked there was veg/vegan options and we were still hungry. Meat eaters were very pleased with their dinner - tasty and piled high. Nice pub with great outdoor area for the kids. Would go again for drinks.

Really disappointed. Waited 2 hours for dinner just to be told it wasn't coming meanwhile trying to keep a six month old entertained. Bad management as they sent out a young waiter to tell us, just seemed very poorly organised with a tribute band going off. Manager didn't seem to care and shrugged it off.

Waited 2 hours for food to be told the oven was broke so we wouldn't be getting any food tonight, but people who arrived after us got their food. Waiters running around like headless chickens taking food to the wrong tables. Jenny the manager was ignorant to the situation wasn't bothered at all, didn't have the decency to tell customers herself sent a young waiter to tell us. Offered no compensation. Never again.

Been many times and love the pub, the staff are amazing, food is alway top class. Today went for a Bank Holiday Taco Special that they had on. My god this was amazing best tacos I’ve ever had, really enjoyed it. Couldn’t recommend the place enough.

I dropped by the Coach on a Saturday evening having driven past many times but never stepped through the door before. The car park is always busy which tends to be a good sign so thought I’d give it a try. My plan was a few beers and to get a takeaway, however when I asked if I could have a table for food the lady behind the bar was more than welcoming. I opted for the steak and ale pie which was absolutely delicious, proper home cooked comforting food! The beer selection was also good, a mixture of ales and lagers, Guinness and cider - highly recommended

Service was slow unless you are a regular, then you can jump the queue. Was considering a meal, but tbh they were lucky we had a drink each.

I had a couple of pints of their bass beer, and can honestly say it's a fantastic pint of beer and one of the best around !! For Sunday lunch we had 2 lamb & 1 beef dinner. A lovely dinner with plenty of meat and vegetables to go round and a great gravy too. The staff always asked if everything was ok with our dinner's / drinks, which of course it was. We were there early afternoon and the pub was busy with people of all ages and walks of life which made for a lovely atmosphere. This was the second time in 3 weeks we have been for Sunday lunch and we had a lovely experience on each occasion. We would recommend a visit to the Coach to everyone and we are looking forward to our next lunch and drinks there. A lovely Sunday lunch time !! Ian, Ann, Barbara.

Its such a shame its gone down hill, this used to be an amazing little pub however it is no longer welcoming and has a weird atmosphere. Its such a shame when you walk in to not even a smile, you are made to feel unwelcome and the food has gone down hill i wouldn't even bother. the lady with the dark hair makes you feel like your causing her an inconvenience just by being there. Lets hope things change it would be such a shame if it didn't pick up to what it used to be when the owners have clearly put in such a lot of work over the years to make it lovely.

Have been a few times for meals and Christmas meal. Not once disappointed with the all round service. Visiting again in the next 2 weeks with friends.

First and last time visiting the coach… So we were off to a good start, disabled parking was right by the door, the bar staff was pleasant enough and my reservation was correct. The table we were sat on was ok to begin with, however as it got busier it became difficult to get to to the bar without having to ask other customers to excuse me and move their chairs to allow me to pass. After ordering the meals a table less than a meter away from ours sat down with 3 dogs. The dogs were on leads but still were roaming in front of the bar. The smell of dogs was unbearable and very unpleasant. We did move tables at my request and we were sat in a side room. The unpleasant smell still lingered. Another customer entered with a dog at this point. Although it states the pub is pet friendly, other pubs that promote this have separate rooms for diners with dogs as I’m sure I’m not the only person who would rather not be sat eating my dinner in a room full of dogs. Even when I visited the vets recently there was a separate waiting area for dogs! For such a small room this is highly inappropriate. The decor at first I thought was quirky with the dried flowers/branches on the ceiling but then something dropped from the ceiling into my drink! I ordered the lasagne which was nice, however the chips weren’t great and I was missing my salad which I had to ask for after the meals had arrived, the pie was nice enough, it stated it came with mash and veg, we expected more veg than just peas, and the roast beef was very tough. No staff checked if our meals were ok throughout the meal or even when I paid the bill. We will not returning and unless you want to take your dog for dinner I would definitely not recommend! Not a pleasant Sunday lunch experience.

Lovely friendly pub with a great menu. Visited with daughter son in law and 3 grandchildren. We all found something on the menu and it was all great. Special mention to the home style chips that we all love. Excellent play area kept a 10, 6 and 3 year old occupied. Plenty of outdoor seating although it was quite overcast and windy so managed to get a table inside. It was very busy for 5pm week day so obviously popular with locals

We visit on a regular basis and have always had delicious food served by very friendly staff. It’s dog friendly too which is an added bonus for us.

A fantastic village pub with fabulous homemade food. I had the pie. It was so full of filling and brought lovely and hot to the table. The staff were polite and the chef even came out to collect my plate- was good to be able to say thank you directly. Great to see families still able to eat out there too as prices are so reasonable.

A thoroughly unpleasant visit Veg was like mush and virually inedible and pie was cold Landlord took exception when I complained then some woman with a load of noisy out of control kids jumped in and accused me of being a 'serial complainer' Not true but I do believe in saying something if food is so sub standard as this was I said it was not about getting money deducted I was happy to pay in full but in fairness they did deduct the cost of the meal in the end Won't be going again by mutual agreement which is a shame as I actually like the pub but if they don't take on board constructive criticism they will never improve!

Great pub ran by great people. Lovely welcoming atmosphere. Food is available but would recommend booking ahead of time as all food is bought fresh that day. Big outside seating area and some play activities for kids. Dogs are also welcome.

Visited for drinks and dinner, the pie was to die for and a very generous serving, my husband had the burger which was amazing and he is very fussy about his burgers. Visited while out for a walk. Called in and was welcomed by lovely warm hearted staff and a fire 🔥 in the grate Just what you need along with decent honest tasty food. The Sunday roast is delicious and puddings are not to be missed all at an affordable price. Throughly enjoyed and will be back.!

Had a beautiful meal last night for my partners 70th Birthday there was 22 people in the party and all the starters mains and pudding were hot and delicious I would throughly recommend thanks also to the friendly staff and waitress.

Food is nice, staff on the other hand were not, lied about having no food to my friend who met me there, I believe because he was slightly under dressed meaning his joggers were stained and ripped.... not everyone can afford new clothes also there is no dress code for a pub. multiple people of age refused service bare in mind we all come with hundreds to spend so it's not exactly our loss, when I seen all of my friends treated unfairly I got up and left I felt bad because I talked this place up to them I guess it was better when it was ran by my family 😅 I will not be going back until they change hands again. Your comment makes no difference just shows a lack off care for your customers not here to argue.

Popped in today for a quick bite to eat after traveling to buy a car nearby. Lovely pub with a cozy atmosphere, real fire and friendly staff. Food was delicious and really good sized portions. Chips are the best I've had in a pub for years and the side salad on the scampi was amazing. Having such good quality sides really made the meal. If this was closer to home it would definitely be our local 👍

Had a great night out at the quiz night. Didn't win but recieved a warm and friendly welcome. The beer (Bass) was great and the surroundings warm and interesting, lots of qurios around the walls........... All topped off with some chips after the quiz..

Fabulous Sunday Lunch. Had a lovely traditional Sunday lunch with plenty of vegetables, very tasty meat and the best gravy ever. Desserts very nice too. All very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.

We visited a couple of weekends ago having not been since before all the lockdowns. Alway has been and still is a good spacious and friendly pub with good parking and outdoor area. I had the ham salad baguette with salad and crisps. Was lovely. However, my partner had the ham 2 eggs and chips served with doorstop bread. He was disappointed with 1 slice of ham. 2 eggs, 1 of which had no yolk. And the bread was a normal cheap thin un buttered slice. Nothing like what was stated on menu. We also noticed there was a smaller version of this on the menu. Dread to think how small this would have been. It was 3pm so not busy on food orders and it took a while to come. So can only think the chef wasn't really bothered that day 😕. Bit of a let down really.

Very nice food, although some things seemed very expensive compared to some other items on menu. Chicken strips plenty of them are the same price as a few mushrooms on the starter menu. Very nice seating area outside.

The bar maid was friendly and efficient, but the food was average and service of that poor. So no disasters but wouldn't pass another eatery to get there. Best go there for a beer instead.

Sat here with family after a great Sunday lunch. Imogen behind the bar is super friendly and efficient. Our waiter (Charlie), is friendly and also quick and efficient. All three of our carveries were delicious with ample supportive vegetables. Good atmosphere in this lovely village...

Very nice and cozy place for a drink, the staff was very kind and there is also a yard for the young ones. As for the food I was not very satisfied tasteless and very small portions you should do something about it.
