This is easily the place with the best coffee and pastries in town. In addition they have an amazing deli range of produce. We have always found the team welcoming and friendly and willing to help in any way they can. Unmissable!

I echo the the review from Jan 24 where I agree the food is very good but despite going in regularly when in Bakewell I never feel it is a friendly atmosphere or feel valued. The owner needs to value all customers. Not even a goodbye when you leave having spent money there.

The coffee is good and I love the almond croissant, but I never feel very welcome when I go here. I get a lukewarm hello and don't feel like my custom is welcome.

Think twice about visiting on a Thursday - extremely miserable lady serving, no soup, no salad, no coleslaw and when we asked for Panninis was told there would be at least a 20 minimum wait (there were only another couple in the shop) this was at lunch time - would not recommend

Superb coffee together with freshly baked cake and bread. It's only small and does sell out of popular items so if you want a freshly baked sourdough loaf book in advance.

Awesome food, great service and lovely coffee! We had a lovely Sunday brunch after wandering around Bakewell! The food was fantastic (steak pie, pork and apple sausage roll and mozzarella/tomato/pesto sandwich). Both the staff were lovely and very helpful. Would 100% come back and recommend to anyone in need of a light bite or good coffee.

The Lambton Larder is an oasis of yum for foodies and all. Unbelievable cheeses, bread and sorted yummies await you. The place is well appointed with so many local and locally made things . Even eggs for our stay were there.

I love Lambton Larder - definitely the best deli and coffee in town. A fantastic selection of artisan breads and croissants and their cake counter is a sight for sore eyes! Cheese and charcuterie is great to pick up for picnics. Fab coffee from Buxton roasters to have in or takeaway. And all that topped with super-friendly service. A must visit if you are in Bakewell.

Definitely the best coffee in Bakewell, plus a great range of croissants, buns etc. It’s become our morning ritual whilst staying in the town. My wife is a real coffee fanatic and raves about the coffee. I love eyeing up all the deli produce - cheeses, breads, sauces, oils, etc etc - as we sit at one of the two breakfast bars. There are also two tables outside which are great when the sun is shining (which it has done all this week). And of course, a big shout out for the super friendly and very helpful lady who runs The Lambton Larder…. Thank you.

On the main road from the North but invisible from the main square, this small deli does cafe type food to a very high standard. Only 3 bar stools inside but there are small pavement tables. Great to watch the world go by. Not cheap but the quality makes it good value for money. Delightful staff. Pies are exceptional. Ciabatta panini was a special and was stunning. Superb ingredients with attention to detail. Interesting selection of unusual British cheeses. Treat yourself!

On the second day we discovered this fantastic little Deli, It is owned by two young people committed to sourcing locally produced food. The sandwiches and coffee are amazing. We stocked up on amazing cheeses and delicious things for snacks and cooking in our lovely holiday cottage. We decided to get off the beaten track today on a Mad Monday Market Day. It was absolutely thronged and it was so nice to pop round the corner on Buxton Road and sit inside. We had a very nice sandwich each and coffees. However, we would have liked the Americano to be a little stronger than it was and didn't fancy paying an extra 40p for another shot! We thought the food was reasonable, certainly not as expensive as some of the other cafes in Bakewell and there was a different range of food available.

I had a sandwich which I thought was very expensive and not good value for money. There is not much choice and everything seems very pricey. Unfortunately I don't think I will go back. Other people that I know that have been in agree it is overpriced and not enough choice and people are saying they will not go back. There are a lot of places in Bakewell where you can pick up good quality items for lunch at half the price.

Staying in Matlock, read the reviews and booked in for ‘Pie Night’. We were glad we did. Firstly it’s a proper pub serving food, not some pseudo bistro. We had the Christmas Pie special and a steak and ale pie. Both were great, as they claimed on the menu, they were ‘proper pies’ not a stew with bit of pastry on top. Both were beyond generously filled with tasty ingredients and packed with meat. My wife ranked the Xmas offering as her #1 Pie of all time, I loved my Steak pie but regret not ordering it too. Turkey, pigs in blankets, stuffing all in a pie! If it’s on offer when you go, grab it! Chips were great, gravy was tasty and I love a mushy pea! Portion was massive. I’d go back in a heartbeat. Good job.
