The Lalbagh - Indian Takeaway in South Ribble

Probably the worst Indian I've ever had to be honest. The food was barely flavoured and the meat was low quality. Expected better for £20! I don't recommend.

Was ok, the curries were dyed red, flavours weren't bad but nothing to shout home about. A typical Indian resturant serving ok food. Slightly salty curries, bland rice. Shame there aren't many options locally.

Absolutely Flavour-less. I’ll start by saying the nicest thing we had was the plain naan. Followed by the poppadoms. This is the worst Indian takeaway we’ve EVER had and after spending £35 I’d like ALL of my money back TBH. The food was awful. Far from authentic and had NO FLAVOUR, lacked spice and seasoning. The meat was tough (probably not fresh) and the onion bhaji fried to within an inch of its life. I am confused as to how the people of penwortham have let this restaurant operate and serve food of this low standard for so long.

Order chicken tikka not good and no salt. Waste of money.

First time customer today, food was delicious and would give it 10/10, and that's coming from someone who isn't usually a massive Indian food fan! The man on the counter was also very pleasant and helpful. Will definitely return 😊

Really gone downhill as respects portions and quality. Some of the lamb tandoori is chewy beyond belief just slipped in to appear a decent portion. Scrawny tandoori chicken on the bone and lamb chops again comprised of bone and not much else. Steer clear try next door. Far less cost.

Very disappointed we ordered a Korma and dopiaza and neither had any real taste, the Dopiaza didnt have nearly enough sauce and consisyed mainly of onions. The portions were generous and the Naan and popodoms were good but for over £30 i certainly won't be ordering again.

Had a Jalfrezi and Khorma with Bhajis last night and this is the fourth time we've been and tbh it's very overrated. The Currys were lacking in any real flavour...how is that really possible? Worse than supermarket stuff....honest. The Bhajis were good but at £19 this is not to be recommended. We won't return despite living very local and would travel further to get a better, cheaper meal.

Our go to Indian takeaway for over 2 years purely because their food is consistently great and staff friendly! We generally order something different each time from the specials and have never been disappointed, highly recommend!

Service is very good always ready for the time they quote and the food is top draw. Very tasty, good portions, quality food. Out of the many times I’ve been I’ve had one time the some chicken tikka wasn’t hot. Website online ordering is ok and a small discount is applied for going through the site. One thing about the site I can see that could be improved on is listing the curry’s via mild, medium, hot etc. An extensive list of curry’s available which can take time to go through and find that one isn’t available as a mild.

Has a great choice on menu and can order online easy. And never had a big delay on pick up time. Food is consistently good , not had a dish I have disliked.

Very disappointed. Takeaway as a treat from here last night, consisted of 1 lamb rogan josh 1 other curry, 1 peshwari nann 2 poppadoms 1 mango 1 onions. £21, lamb rogan josh was dry and not enough sauce the other very bland. Small portions no raita and will not be returning. Staff pleasant enough but meal not!!

The food was ok but the chips were large and rubbery like they had just been warmed up and the nan bread was dry. The curry though it self was tasty. When we phoned we asked if they did free popsdoms to which they relied no. When my wife picked the meal up the free popadoms were already in the bag. They would have had us pay for them if we had put them on when ordering. Naughty really. Cinnamon spice the best in our eyes.

I went to The Lalbagh Indian Takeaway in Penwortham tonight and it was a most enjoyable experience. I purchased a Chicken curry with boiled rice. It was of top quality . The service was quick and efficient . And the staff were friendly and efficient at serving . I would recommend a visit to The Lalbagh Indian Takeaway in Penwortham .

Best curry take away in Preston !

Amazing Indian food take away, in my opinion the very best in Lancashire, Dhanyamirchi is amazing, staff very helpful and friendly, would highly recommend.

So disappointed in the Balti I ordered this evening. That’s in my top five worst curries ever. I’ve been going to Lalbagh for years, and this is my first in two. Vinegary citrus taste to it. Struggled to finish it. Never again.

Yet another wonderful meal from the Lalbagh. Tasty, great value, and plentiful. And the coffee whilst you wait for your order is lovely as well.

Never had a bad meal from here and I've been coming for over 10 years. There aren't many better Indian takeaways that I've found anywhere. Always absolutely immaculate and clean and staff always seem happy and pleasant. The food standard is excellent and ahead good portion sizes with no hint of grease or oil. You could pay twice as much and get far inferior food. Order from here; you'll be glad you did!

I found this place very average. The two curries we ordered were packed to the brim in the foil containers but the flavours seemed pre-prepared, mass produced in a big pot and not very authentic at all. We ordered a lamb balti which was rather tangy which I had never tasted from any Indian before and I'm not sure it should even have been cooked like this. Saying that, it was still edible. The other dish was a chicken jalfrezie which I would say was similar to the other curry, not very authentic, mass-produced. There should have had green peppers in it , but instead had half a container of green chillies! Ooch! But again dispite this it was still edible. The rice and garlic nan were nice, and the complimentary poppadoms were lovely. I should just add I was told I could adjust the hotness & tanginess of the curries we ordered next time.

Great for a local reasonably priced takeaway- quality equal to eat in at King Karai on Watery Lane, Ashton. Owned by the same people as the Bangla Fusion restaurant in Much Hoole I believe.

Possibly the best Indian takeaway in the world. Balti mogal kabuli {slightly hot} is wonderful, staff excellent and even the coffee whilst waiting is great.
