I’d been to the old establishment in Canterbury a few years ago and I preferred the food there! I’m not sure whether there have been lots of changes. The KCG in the Cave was also good. Prices have gone up and portions have gotten smaller, but this isn’t uncommon in this economy! The server was extremely attentive and made sure we did not go without! The location and atmosphere of this venue was good. There was also ample parking.

Went here for my brother’s birthday and was so impressed! Service was impeccable, staff were so friendly. Food was stunning, a lovely relaxed atmosphere making you feel at home as soon as you walk in. Will definitely be back and highly recommend.

Great ramen restaurant with a very friendly staff and anime shows playing all around.

Such lovely food, recommend getting small plates to share to get a taste for all! The staff are so friendly and lovely, didn’t get their names but lovely people. Made my birthday a very lovely evening so thank you very much! Also very accommodating to my dad’s shellfish allergy, strongly recommend visiting!

Let's make this short and sweet Staff 100% couldn't ask for more . Food was good. I would say if anything the pulled pork was a little dry. The rest was good eating ... Atmosphere... well it was 12:00 on a Monday. I was hoping it was quiet as I'm an unsociable sod. Would I eat here again... Yep The staff were great the cocktails were lovely and the food .. well I haven't tried the entire menu yet

They served as no fresh food. The ribs were as if they were reheated from two days ago. My noodles was one big sticky dumpling, and in menu was ramen noodles with shitake but they served different mushrooms and they tried to lie to me that there are shitakes on the menu only but they don't serve them because only the broth is cooked with these mushrooms. So what they doing with this shitake after cooking if my ramen was without them?? Both ramen we ordered were very nauseating and we couldn't eat them. In milkshakes cocktail was no fresh Oreo. We not recommend this place. Waste of money. There were two times when you could smell cigarette smoke from the back room. 😡

Visited because we love meat, and fried chicken. Nice venue. Really good staff, who were very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. The food was a bit rubbish though, which we didn’t expect as it was presented so well and looked amazing. We had the BBQ meat platter. The brisket was dry, as was the pulled pork which lacked flavour. The turkey was good as was the fried chicken, but overall a bit of a let down. Considering the price of £120 for 2 people, mains and a couple of drinks each, it sums up Canterbury. Dead expensive and it’s ok at best.

Lovely meal, great staff. Even gave a complimentary birthday treat. Only reason 4 stars is because overall, its quite expensive.

Went early as a birthday treat from my daughter. The food was good and plenty but I found £10 for a bowl of tatter tots a bit expensive for what you received. Service was good, food was good but pricey. Atmosphere not helped by constant delivery riders tracking through

I feel like we consumed their old stock of unfresh chicken and microwaved fries, such a small portion for the price. Sauce (soy garlic and honey butter) was nice but ingredient was like I was ripped off. Serving lady was friendly and the interior was gorgeous. Was glad I didn't order more.

As an Asian American I was pretty disappointed. I ordered the bbq board. Food was cold, disappointing taste, and I ended up with a bad stomach ache within 10 min of leaving the restaurant. In my opinion, waste of time and money. Would not go again.

Nice food - not particularly healthy as most things are deep fried - If I ate here everyday I'd be dead within the week! Friendly, helpful staff and nice atmosphere. They seriously need to lose the policy where they bring your food whenever it's ready. My wife and I both ordered the same, burger and fries with a couple of sides....... One lone burger arrived on a tiny plate and was placed in the middle of the table with us both looking at it thinking - well now what?........Then then next burger arrived 4-5 mins later, but no fries for either of us. Then the fries arrived 2-3 mins later and the same scenario with the sides. By the time all the food arrived, the first to come out was cold. I complained and explain how silly it was bringing everything out separately as it's cooked and they did offer to redo my burger, but what is the point as by the time another burger is done everything else on the table will be cold. What a silly policy, such a shame. They need to learn how to have everything ready for an order at the same time, as every other restaurant does in Britain and the rest of the world as far as I'm aware - Hence only three stars on service, this is not a reflection on waiter and bar service, as that was very good. Very expensive way of getting nice, but cold food. It came to £135 for a burger, fries, two sides and a couple of drinks each.

A gem within Canterbury. Whoever designed the interior of this store deserves their accolades! Staff are extremely polite and food service is as prompt as you’d expect freshly made food to be. Food is on the pricier side but it tastes the price! If you are thinking about going, do it!

Lovely food. The meat board for 1 was on the small side for £35 but everything else was good portions. Definitely a special occasion place

Me and my partner came here last night. The food was amazing but the service just made it. We had Francesca serving us and she definitely made our dinner experience enjoyable. Lovely and polite lady :)

Fantastic food and fantastic staff. A little expensive, we went for the meat platter for two and it was more than enough. Great quality ingredients and very well cooked. Lots of BBQ'd meats so if you're not into that this may not be the place for you. The wings were amazing! The staff are very attentive and always at hand. No student discount offered.

Lovely food and great service. The restaurant is well designed and has a really nice atmosphere. The food and drinks are quite pricey but portion sizes are great as well as the quality.

Popped in here on the off chance because we were checking out the new complex. Although this place specialises in smoked meats, we decided to go for the ramen. All in all, you can tell that the ingredients aren't cheap and have some quality and so it does justify the price which can seem a little high at first.. But you get what you pay for right? The ramen was excellent and portion size was good. It's a personal preference but I would have preferred it a little less salty. Service is spot on and can't be faulted. The place is really well decorated and functions well, although it was lunch time so we couldn't manage cocktails. The free gyoza with the ramen is an excellent touch! Highly recommended... If you're up for drinks too, be prepared to eat well and spend your money! It's the best place in this complex without a doubt.

Had the £35 board for one and was very underwhelmed. Whilst it was well presented and plentiful, unless the meat had sauce on it, their was no flavour to it. Tattertots were fun and nice and cheesy though.

Food was nice but just wasn't my cup of tea. If I was to go again, I wouldn't have the same dish.

My partner and I came here for Valentines Day. We had a really nice time, the food and drinks were lovely. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We were served by Jaime. He was very tentative and made sure we were happy with everything. He aslo checked regularly if we needed drink top ups or anything else. Overall a really good experience.

Absolutely superb food but pretty appalling service… When we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly enthusiastic lady - a great first impression. It took 20mins to be asked what drink we wanted - by then, in any other restaurant, we’d have already finished one drink and be ordering a second! The food was great but, when it arrived, we wanted to order more drinks and were told that we could only order from the one (very slow!) manager that we were originally greeted and served by. The staff that delivered our food and drinks were great, but we couldn’t order any thing else! We wanted additional side dishes and drinks but the manager wasn’t around so we couldn’t order any. After our plates were cleared we were asked if we would like a dessert menu. We all chose a dessert and additional drinks. After another 20mins we finally managed to flag our server down and ask for the bill - she was so surprised to hear we didn’t want any desserts! By then we were so fed up with waiting that we just wanted to leave. We would have honestly spent double, at least, if we’d been able to! The food was great but sadly we will never be back. For a quiet Sunday afternoon, where there were more staff than customers in the building, there’s no excuse.

Amazing food, service was fantastic warm welcoming (thanks Izzy) and fun. Setting is very striking, even the loos were very tasteful, and unisex, which is still odd to some. Beer selection was great and good prices too. The platter tasted amazing, well cooked, all to perfection. But, as much as the food was good, I had the £35 platter, and as tasty as it was, didn't feel like value. The photos I had seen looked bigger, had fries which should have been part of it. I didn't order them as I expected it to be more filling. The bao donut was also great, but again at £10, seemed a bit steep. A good one off, but I'm not sure I would be in a hurry to go back. Sorry.

Me and my partner visited Friday day time the restaurant was very quite but we were made to feel welcome by Beth who looked after us and was brilliant the food was stunning! Will be going back for the whole experience!

I rarely do reviews for anything in general, but this place was diabolical. Service was terrible and the price we paid for what we got was absurd. Went with a group of 4, we waited roughly about 40 minutes for our food to come and we barely had anything. The only good item was the chicken gyoza but the rest you can just go to your local shop and make it at home. Ended up paying for a drink that wasn’t on the menu which cost me £35 - for double Hennessy & cranberry juice and I believe they used tap water instead of cranberry juice. I beg any of you that are thinking of going here to just avoid and spend your money somewhere else! Never again

Huge portion BBQ boards for 2, enough for 3 of us. Tater tots was excellent. Ramen were very good and noodles were generous, the egg was perfect, except the soup was not pipping hot, so don't do the broth justice. Both female waitresses tonight were professional, friendly, efficient, and extremely hard working, 10 out of 10, well done. Lovely takeaway box and branded woven bag for our leftovers, great little touch.

First experience & for me I’m not keen on just meat on my plate. I’m not a huge meat eater but wanted to give this place a go. Personally I would’ve liked something to go with the meat such as rice or salad. Some things were quite spicy although we’d explained we didn’t want spicy things. Honey & butter Chicken wings were wonderful as was the milkshake but the brisket bites were too spicy & the burger nothing special.

It was my first time coming to korean cowgirl so didn't know what to expect, it was for my birthday meal! Once I entered the restaurant I was greeted happily with great customer service, was offered nice cold water before ordering, food was great and the pina colada milkshake was so good. The only slight downside was the price, but would happily go again to try more of the menu.

Had a cosy lunch in Canterbury, we felt very comfortable there. Most of the people only go to there at 2 or after, so I recommend going there before 2 to avoid queuing. And sometimes it’s difficult to get waiter’s attention even if they are just next to us and looking at our direction. I got a signature cheeky ramen, the noodles were generally soft, and not as what I had expected. The soup was not too salty (which is perfect), and the pork tasted fine as well. The egg was perfectly soft ; they also offered seaweed, green onion, and bean sprouts in the ramen. It was approx. £15. 4/5 The other one got a curry ramen, everything was the exact same except that it’s curry soup and they have pork katsu instead of pork slices. The katsu wasn’t soft enough though, the texture feels like it isn’t a proper one. The soup was pretty good, but it just doesn’t taste like curry ; it suits well with the noodles though. It was approx. £15. 3.5/5 Then we had a gyoza, and you can choose veggie/pork/chicken gyoza. We chose chicken, and the chicken was fine. I like the little spring onions and other stuff on the dumplings; it’s just that £8 for 4 dumplings is an unreasonable price. Taste:4.5/5, Price:2/5.

Restaurant was clean, nice decor and service was friendly amd attentive. Food came quickly and was really really good. Only issue for me was the service charge - I personally despise this addition to the bill and I would 1) rather tip based on my service 2) not have to ask for it to be taken off - this genuinely stops me going back to places.

Food was ok but nothing special. Ramen was OK, as was burger/ barbecue. Order tajen reasonably quickly but servicevl was exceptionally slow. One item came first and was virtually finished by the time the rest of the order arrived. Wouldn't rush back.

I had the burger with cheese and bacon and I would say it’s the best burger I’ve had in a restaurant:) Service was very friendly too. I was just visiting the area and this restaurant was perfect for lunch for our group.

Went here with a party of six. Food was great, especially the Bangkok chicken wings and the Oreo milkshake. The staff were very nice but could’ve been a bit more attentive as we had to get up twice to ask for water and coke. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere with both American and Korean decorations. Maybe a tad bit expensive but worth it for special occasions. Only downside was the 12.5% service charge which we weren’t expecting. Will definitely be visiting again.

Just got back home after eating my bodyweight in meat, got one of the sharing boards and everything on it was a tasty delight, the staff were phenomenal, absolute sweethearts who found out it was my birthday and then sent me over a sweet treat on the house and sang me happy birthday - thank you for making this soon to be 38 year old feel special. Also, the nicest gender neutral toilets I've ever been in, dead luxurious. The only thing that could make this place even better is if they offered a few more vegan bits on the menu so my friends could share in the heaviness I am feeling right now

I LOVE the food here which is why it will always score highly with me. The only reason why I can’t give 5 stars is because we, along with several other guests who were separate parties to us, had to wait over 5 minutes at the door until someone came over to seat us. Several waitresses and barmen looked at us and continued serving etc. without saying a word which was disappointing. Even if it’s not your job directly to greet people, it would be polite to say “Hello” and “Someone will be with you as soon as possible”. I know it’s just a job, and you don’t have to be super enthusiastic, but being moody and staring at customers will set them off on a bad start.

I have always wanted to go to Korean Cowgirl, and I was lucky that my boyfriend booked a table for my birthday. It was a surprise, I was very happy when I arrived. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was VERY good!! I had the Garlic Buttermilk Chicken Ramen - WOW it was amazing!! My boyfriend was very jealous, he enjoyed his dish which was a katus chicken rice bowl. I also tried their Honeybee Espresso Martini that was also very nice!! I would recommend Korean Cowgirl. 10/10

Been here twice, and both times just not a good experience. First time with my colleagues, and in a table of 6, food coming at intervals of 20 min between us. Some eating, some just looking at the others eating. Second time by myself. With a floorspace close to being empty, I got offered a seat next to the entrance for the toilets. At the ordering, I was served like a nuisance to be dealt with. I ordered a ramen but was too spicy, I couldn't even drink a bit of the soup. Ordered a Burger instead, but even the buns are not suitable as they are way too soft. Difficult to eat it because drips everywhere. Got offered a free dessert since I didn't finish the ramen, but I had a movie starting. In the meantime, my starter dish sitting empty on the table seemed it didn't need to be taken away. No discount offered. Tap water seems expensive, hence you need to ask for the waiter every time the small glass is empty. I don't know who is at fault, I don't blame the staff, neither the kitchen but I don't see this place going far like this.

Everyone that likes ramen said it was really good. The staff is very friendly and accommodating to the vegans in our party and even have the grads a dessert to congratulate them.

This was my first time in the new location and the atmosphere was really relaxed and the food was great. The only thing that was a bit of a let down was we asked for some water for the table when we sat down but we had to ask for it when our food arrived as they obviously forgot.

Not really enjoyed it.The food is kind smell off not fresh , burgers are not a fraction better then Mc Donald’s what are the 60% cheeper than this place .Not sure how they can be there with this kind of quality food and charge this money.

we’ve been wanting to go for a while as it’s raved about and we were all super excited but we went on a saturday night and it was busy but not flooded with people, lovely staff and cute vibe, however we found the food to be super greasy, flavour bland and really expensive for what you’re getting. strongly disappointed with the food as we all left with a bad stomach. unfortunately would not go again or recommend, we spent £180 for 4 of us, £19 service charge. Expensive.

Went here for a family dinner. Booked for 5:30 pm. We were running a fraction late, due to public transport, so we called and were told that after 20 minutes they would give the table away. Fortunately, we arrived at 5:43. when we arrived we were greeted and seen to our table. We had booked via Instagram.” kids eat for £1” I asked if that we were able to make use of the kids eat for £1 and was told that the offer runs from 3 pm to 6 pm. I was told by Yazmin we were late and as a result the offer wouldn’t be available. I explained that it’s still 550pmvand surely the offer would apply. She said no you are late and the offer is not available. I explained that we were booked for 530 and it’s still only 550pm but she said“ no you are late , read our terms and conditions” EDIT I’ve checked and it is not clear on instagram or on the website (if it is it is very difficult to find) T&Cs that it under 10s ) and She then decided to tell me , with a slight tone to her attitude, that.” if I wanted it that bad, then I could have it.” Quite shocking. To top it off. She then came over to the table and told me that the offer was only available if we spent over £25 making us feel like she thought we were being cheap. What an absolutely shockingly, bad attitude. This totally ruined our evening and made it all very unnecessarily stressful … don’t see why we needed to be treated this way. Poor customer service. we should have just left at that point but I was keen to try the food and we had travelled 40 minutes to get there. Francesca took our order and was ever so sweet. We ordered the bbq board mixed meat for 2 for £70. Most of the meat was over salty. Our bill came to £130 in total and that was with 1 drink each. so not cheap even with the kids eat for £1. We will not visit here again.

My mother is not accepted in a lot of cafes and restaurants with her wheelchair. There was ample room for her to pass between tables to our reserved spot by the toilets. She needed to keep her wheelchair next to the table for transfer, which was happily accommodated; this has always been difficult elsewhere. The waitress was really friendly and welcoming, and the signature burger was the best ever. The miso corn is marvellous, and we don't know what made the sweet potato fries so good. The waitress was also very knowledgeable about food allergies, and was invaluable in iodine-safe recommendations. Very generous portions, well worth the price. The addition of a little chocolate dessert provided for birthdays made it truly special. We're already planning to return

We had the bbq board for 2 was very nice although we'd of liked some more ribs as the meat a little bit sparse on them the chicken wings were lovely the chips came out first and was very disappointing £5 for a small cup of chips we paid £124 in total just for meal and glass of wine and two cokes and of course the added service charge but couldn't fault the services as they were very on the ball checking to see if ok we did tell the waitress this too. would I return hmm maybe I don't know it was lovely just a little on the pricey side for small portions.

£35 for brisket that was dry not what was expected especially for the price

Really disappointed - my family loved this place and we tried to book a table for 10 for my mum's 50th a good 3 weeks in advance and they said they don't take bookings for over 8 people? First time I've ever heard of a restaurant doing this? It's not like their place is small. Utterly baffling that they would turn money and custome away and lose loyal customers.

Brilliant food, atmosphere, and staff. I went with my neighbour. We ordered the variety platter to share, as well as some fries. Service was super. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and gave us useful recommendations. One trouble I had was having to ask for sauce a few times. They asked when they served our food if we wanted any, and while I appreciate the offer, I don't see why a small bowl of sauce would take so long! The food was excellent. It's a meat eater's paradise. Big portions and lots of variety. The share platter offered a good variety of meats, tastes, and textures. I definitely recommend it. I enjoyed the atmosphere. It was modern with both an American and Korean twist. Personally, I thought the volume of the music was a little loud, and the Japanese anime playing on the large screens was a bit jarring. Overall, though, I liked the atmosphere. The modern feeling and the American-Korean blend were great.

Over priced, parking extra, small portion sizes, over seasoned, poor cuts of meat. Certainly not worth £60 a head which is about what it’ll cost you. Nice venue but everything else is to put it bluntly is terrible. Plus 12.5% gratuity for your trouble. I won’t be going again. I recommend Miller & Carter. Much nicer in every way 👍🏼🏆

Food was amazing, brisket best I have had my a country mile! The prawns we had to order more as they tasted perfect so good too. All in all a 9.8 out of 10. Everything about the place was amazing other than the music being so loud not being able to hear the person opposite without having to raise voices

We went for a family meal, birthday treat. The restaurant was very clean and bright, but due to the time of the meal, there wasn't many customers and so hence the lower atmosphere stars. Parking was good, and the restaurant was only a short walk. The food was very nice and tasty, the service was really good. Over all I think the price was fair, that being said, certain things were a little bit over priced, hence 4 star rating. The 12% gratuity isn't to bad, but you don't have to pay it if you don't want to. Works out to be about £2 each, so we paid it. The staff were very pleasent and accommodating. The presentation of a couple of small brownies and a happy birthday message was a nice touch. Would I go again? Yes. Would I take family and friends? Yes. Well done to the restaurant and its staff, and a thank you.

The Mini Smokehouse BBQ boards gives a good selection of meats and I was told it was good. We ordered 12 boneless wings which meant we picked 2 sauces Yang nyum and honey butter for the wings to be coated (6 each). Tasted both but my personal preference was the Yang nyum. I had the Brisket burnt ends rice bowl (decent portion) which was good. My wife had the Signature cheeky ramen and she liked it.

Just a completely bonkers booking system for “large groups”. Tried booking a late lunch for 5 adults and 3 kids by phone as it doesn’t allow you to book online. Just kept being told they’d pass our details to an events manager?! We had family visiting and just wanted a quick meal 10 mins from where we were in town. I had to call back several times over 48 hours and just kept being fobbed off. I don’t know why they didn’t just say no if they couldn’t fit us in or didn’t want kids?? They kept offering to book us in at the Cave restaurant which was completely unhelpful when we were in town with 3 hungry kids. Just all very odd and terrible customer service. Will not be trying again.

Did a bit of research looking up places to eat. Decided to take my partner out for a meal here. She loved it and I loved it. The venue is very new and trendy, the staff are awesome and friendly 👌. The food was very good. I'll definitely be back! Very good evening! 👍

Great food but drink service was quite slow.

The noodles are not chewy and the soup is not strong enough. Spicy chicken is ok. Butter flavored chicken wings are not Korean style.

Great food ,a bit unorganized, had booked 2 weeks before, table not ready for 15 mins , waitresses trying to give wrong food to wrong tables , food portion sizes are small ,we had the platter for 2 when it came out I thought that would be enough for 1 person !!!! Night out with friends was made by the experience we've had at Korean cowgirl. Amazing food, great service and country music to boot. Our host Beth was on form and keep us supplied with drinks and checked in regularly.

I was taken here for a birthday meal. Service was ok, pleasant and when I complained about the food they did offer a replacement, which we declined. The katsu chicken ramen was terrible, somehow the chicken was dry and everything had very little flavour. The £35 meat board, total waste of money. Chicken wings are the cheap, 1 pound a bag from Iceland kind and deep fried. The brisket ends were juicy, but so salty we couldn't eat them. Everything else was so dry and bland. It's a shame, we did go at the end the night on a weekday, maybe things are different other times but for us, total let down.
