Lovely family run pub. Food is excellent,service I also excellent

Went for Sunday lunch, put on small table for two which could not accommodate the vegetable side dishes and gravy so went on the window sill, roast beef was very chewy and one piece tasted of mould, end meal told waitress about chewy beef and was ignored, we paid bill and left, never go back, pub needs updating

Nice Guinness and the food is superb. Sunday is a busy day for the roasts

Can recommend their afternoon teas. Scrumptious. The staff are warm and welcoming.

Went for a wake, the place was dead busy... A nice traditional pub though, pool and darts loads of tables pretty clean facilities and a great garden.

Had afternoon Tea for my Baby Shower. Food was lovely and staff were very friendly. We will be going back and I Would definitely recommend it.

I always go here , with family and friends ­­­­­­­­­­­­. The atmosphere here is really good , everyone is always welcoming ­­­­­­. Really good for baby showers and parties­­­­­­. Had my baby shower here and the food was 10/10 ­­­­­­.

A very nice roast, great service

Excellent food and service, dealing with 17 of us. Children's food very good and all food generous proportions. And a very fair price. Great way to celebrate birth of third great grandchild.

Had a lovely afternoon at the Heron today. I had the homemade lasagne the way my mum used to cook it, heavy on the mince and light on the tomato sauce. Filled me up. We were entertained FM Duo, a great local act. All ages were present today and there was simply a great feel about the place. And there was a meat raffle! This is unashamedly a proper old style British pub! We'll be going again. 😁

A friendly place for , food , drinks and laughs always have polite staff . The pub is always good vibes when functions are going on or meals. The food is 10/10 with lots of different options and have a variety for everyone. The Sunday roasts are delicious and is always hot. The venue for parties always looks stunning and is always on point.

Popped in for a drink on our way through to the town, just finished our drinks, glasses whipped away so quickly, it was awkward, felt we had to go quickly.

The food is great, they cater really well for food intolerance and allergies, and the staff are helpful and friendly. It's a little weird that the decor hasn't been updated in the last 40 years, but that doesn't stop it from being a comfortable, friendly place to eat good food.

We visit the Heron a few times per year to meet up with family members who live in the area. We are always made to feel welcome and all the food preferences in our group are well catered for. Our recent visit was excellent as usual. The Christmas menu was very tasty and served hot and the apple and mincemeat crumble dessert was delicious. We will be back again in a couple of months.

I had the pleasure of being at The Heron Pub in Herne Bay for Christmas Dinner with neighbours/friends from The Oysters. Organised for us all by Mr. Arthur Oliver. A Huge Thank you to Arthur for this. We had a fabulous service from all the staff at the Heron, who were all very efficient working well as a team. Cheerful polite and hard working all friendly people. As fir the food. Everything was of very high standard. Taste, presentation quality of food cooked to perfection. Thank you all so very much. A great Sunday lunch. Good value for money. Service friendly and attentive. Recommended starter avocado/prawn salad. Main course- generous portions delicious roast and vegetables. Highly recommended.

Lovely pub nice and clean and plenty of seating and the staff were friendly and plenty of selections of drinks and also does food till 3pm and I'm sure on certain days kids eat free till 7pm but double check as I'm sure I saw a sign

This pub has a great reputation but unfortunately the day we visited there was a lack of ale or bottles of. Lager only being served. Also someone needs to inform the staff or management that the flags in the garden are back to front.

Food and Drink very reasonably priced with a great menu that ive tried.Staff are honest and friendly the food especially the meat platter was exceptional would definitely recommendations thank you from all my family xx

The food was good value for money, and was excellent. The staff were friendly, and helpful.

Beer garden very nice and comfortable. Book a afternoon tea there, l think table could have been laid out better than in a straight line.l would have put 3 in a line x 3 which would been a square andthat would have been better 3 each side, say us talking loud to each other. A lady came in and ask bottom end of if all was ok but didn't ask the people at the other end .Sandwiches had finger prints on them where they had been cut.Scones ,jam,and squeeze cream, and 7 or 8 tea bags in a pot was to many. Chocolate cup cakes not everyone likes chocolate cake so we did take them home for the kids.Could have done a lot better.

I went to the heron for Mother’s Day lunch with a large party of 13 I must admit the food was very nice but the reason for the 1 start is that the party member that made the booking has assured us that it was communicated the establishment that one of our party had an allergy to dairy and despite this all the vegetables where coated in cheese and the fats has spread across the whole tray of veg meaning the party member with the allergy was given a portion of chicken and a couple of roast potatoes, the fact that allergies are clearly not catered for means I can not use this establishment again. For those who have no allergies this establishment is very good this is just a warning to those with food allergies proceed with caution

Hi had Sunday lunch today at the Heron PH restaurant absolutely fantastic great Roast Beef plenty of vegetables very taste and huge portions excellent value great friendly atmosphere I would definitely recommend the Apple and raspberry crumble

The first time in 5 years , I ventured to my "local" , not as welcoming as I remember, not as busy either , good pint of ale saved the day so I will return , sooner this time

What a lovely meal my wife and daughter and grandchildren had for the first time we have been, can't wait to return please keep up the good service

I booked the Heron function room for my husbands wake. Kim was very compassionate and understanding, she took away all the stress of the sad occasion. Kim catered a fabulous freshly cooked buffet. Our memory tree was displayed for us, we were able to use Bluetooth to enable us to play music, the room set up was great, photos were also displayed. The bar staff were fantastic and were kept very very busy all day until late! Thank you so much for all the staffs professionalism, we are really grateful. Jenny, Charlotte, Natalie and Melissa

I played with my band the six shades of grey at the Heron. and found the staff excellent and the crowd all so. The buffet they laid on was one of the best buffets that l have seen. My band and my self cant wait to go back there again. 10 out of 10.

Decent pool table and the crowd in there was very chilled. Busy enough and not too crowded. Staff lovely - will go back cause of them alone

What a dive! Sad, ugly, and not very clean. Best avoided unless you are extremely desperate for a drink whilst waiting for a train...

We felt a bit rushed at the end if the meal. One meal came out that was not ordered so while the others started one had to wait
