Very good breakfast and very reasonably priced, great service 👍

Exceeded all expectations. I thought it would be so expensive, but it was so reasonably priced and the food was great quality. Would definitely come again, great menu and lovely staff.

Not even busy, waited 35 minutes with a 4yr and 7yr old for 2 plates of these most sumptuous looking pancakes, which the kitchen had evidently forgotten. Not even so much as an apology forthcoming! Highly recommend not bothering.

Like the previous reviewer i had the club sandwich. This was inedible even if it could have reached my mouth without it falling out. I took the other half home to dissect it. They heat the bread so its lightly toasted not what i asked for,, no butter, lettuce leaves soggy, dirt on my tomato end slice, and yes bacon cremated and reheated. £12.50 . Will not go back. Customer services need to review the feedback. You are better going to Tesco's cafe. Have eaten there before and it was lovely.

Gone massively downhill. New menu, very expensive sandwiches, no side salad like they used to, just a bowl of crisps. Cheap bread, cremated reheated bacon and chicken in my Club sandwich (and very little chicken). Similar for my husband's sandwich. Staff were OK, lots of them standing around, nobody asked how the food was. Much better places to go locally for lunch at a better price and with better quality food. It's a shame.

It’s very sad that I have to write this review as typically I would strongly rate this as chilled, laid back environment to enjoy a beer and freshly oven cooked pizza. However we visited on the 27/10/23 and the customer service from the 2 ladies running the bar was terrible, no manners, one of them accused me of ordering my wife the wrong drink “large Pino with Soda” I said, however she poured it with lemonade and suggested I’d ordered it wrong, I’ve only been with my wife 14 years and go out circa 3 times a week therefore would never order it with lemonade as she would never drink it and has the same drink every time we go out, not even an apology. Pepperoni Pizza ordered, it was near enough thrown onto the table by the same woman who served us at the bar and not 1 word mentioned!! Well we had the same pizza 2 weeks before and it was amazing, however this time you struggled to find the Pepperoni in-fact I’d go as far to say it didn’t have any on but couldn’t bring myself to say anything due to previously mentioned situation. Over all a service review needed of the staff’s customer service levels.

Used to love this place but it's gone really downhill. There's wasn't one sandwich on their lunch menu for vegetarians so my wife had to ask if they could make her something. I paid £9 for a bacon sandwich. What came out was comparable to Lidl white bread with reheated stale bacon inside. Not good.

We’ve waited for 40 plus minutes only to find out we paid for the food but it wasn’t sent through to the kitchen. What kind of a tool can’t use a till and the kitchen is less than a meter away … Bar staff lovely but atmosphere was abysmal.

Too be honest would definitely not go back for the breakfast it was awful. Tasteless over or undercooked, warm not hot I have been coming to you for years you have changed breakfast menu from fantastic to not good at all. The service was good though.

Great venue with views of the golf course. The Sunday lunch was superb with a generous helping of roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, and fresh seasonal vegetables. The service was excellent and the lunch was great value.

My friend and I came for a coffee , my black coffee was lukewarm and not fresh, complained and had a replacement. Then ordered a cappuccino, again lukewarm . Very disappointing. This is not the first time this has happened !

I ordered smashed avocado with poached eggs but asked if I could have scrambled eggs instead. I got exactly EXACTLY that, smashed avocado, scrambled egg, and toast. There really was nothing NOTHING AT ALL to complain about. From what I can tell the staff are accommodating, happy to make changes to the menu items at customer’s request, and the food it well presented. Perfect. Well done and keep up the great work.

Booked the function room excellent food and staff views over the course very pretty highly recommended

We had a brilliant experience here today. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The Victoria sponge was spot on, as were all our other breakfast orders. The toilets were clean and well looked after, but particularly the baby changing was well organised, neat and tidy. They had nappy sacks, air freshener, which are a great extra. Once we'd finished eating, my wife was wiping our toddler's cutlery (from home) and the kind member of staff asked us if we'd like her to wash it in the kitchen. Excellent service and food. We will back.

Friendly staff, pizzas are nice although a little crispy sometimes , the best thing they make isn't on the menu - ask them to make cheesy garlic bread, you won't be disappointed!

Couldn't rate this highly enough... food was lovely and Micha was so accomodating- along with kitchen and waiting staff, they stayed open for our large party to eat after crazy golf. So patient and professional- thank you very much.

Been here a few times before lockdown for pizza and foot golf. Pizza always amazing back then but this time round we went on a Sunday morning for breakfast. The restaurant was busy but didn't free crowded. Ordered 2 full breakfast and shown to our table. Waitress was lovely and friendly. Breakfast came quickly which worried us as we thought it must have been standing under a hot lamp for ages but it looked fresh and a just been cooked look. An excellent breakfast, plenty on the plate and left very happy. We are back in 2 weeks time.

When you order a pizza that cost 10.50 you expect it to have more than 2 pieces of mushrooms a small amount of onion and about 8 pieces if pepperoni!!!!! Won't be ordering that again!!!! A pizza should have the ingredients that's mentioned on every slice!!!!

Good food and friendly service but very noisy

We arranged a surprise party here and the staff were excellent in helping arrange, set up and clear up after. Access to the venue early so we could arrange food and helpful with food storage pre-party. Thank you to the team for helping make the night a success.

Poor service and staff rude. Real shame, as could be great. Managed to get an order for toast wrong. Then ordered poached eggs on brown toast. They bought out white.. informed them that I asked for brown..5 mins go by and then a rude waitress comes out with the plate and says that's the way we serve it. I say it might be the way you serve it but I want brown toast nor white... returns with correct toast, same overcooked eggs.. I won't be returning. Management need to get a grip

Used this place frequently pre Covid, today was my first visit since double jabbed. Quality of their food was always good now the pizza options are less and the quality very disapointing. Table was sticky and we will NOT be going back.

Waited over 30 mins for a sandwich and chips after being ignored for 5 mins waiting to be seated. After getting our food (which was nice) we asked for sauce and more drinks... The look we got was hilarious. It wasn't even busy but I'm sorry we got in the way of what ever was more important.

Recently had an awful experience here, wouldn't recommend to anyone. The waitress (not sure of the name) was blunt and rude and generally impolite. I felt rushed to finish my food and leave the premises before I was ready. 0/10 would go again.

Lovely and reasonably priced food, efficient and friendly staff. Fantastic view over the golf course with outside seating available if desired.

Extremely good value when combined with the golf range. 100 range balls and a pizza for £12.50 cant be bad particularly as the pizza was excellent.

Lovely coffee not too busy very covid safe friendly staff

Pretty average,got given two flat soft drinks and when I requested them to be changed it felt like more effort than it should of,the entrance and exit is through the same doorway and during covid too me isnt acceptable at all,sort it out. Extra star based on it does have a decent outdoor seating area and a nice view from within the restaurant.

I go to The Kitchen club on a fairly regular basis to catch up with friends. The food is always cooked fresh and represents a good value for money. The pizzas are lovely coming from their own massive pizza oven. Lovely outlook too onto the golf course, often something ho have a laugh at there!

Nice breakfast very attentive staff, just get there early before all the mums arrive with their little darlings running riot. 👍😂😂

Had a nice sausage and onion sandwich and not expensive

I always like it here and the food is good too. Although last time I went they forgot my order and I didnt get any onions with my tuna sandwich but they did offer me a coffee as compensation. Love the views too and it's free parking. Ideal meeting place for friends xxx

I have visited this venue 3 times - once for breakfast, once for afternoon tea and cake and today for lunch and have been impressed every time. Staff are friendly, restaurant is clean (tables cleared as diners leave) and food great and reasonably priced. It may be situated by a golf club but if like me you're not a golfer do not let this put you off going!

I am so very very upset at the treatment both myself and hubby received at the Playgolf riverside avenue. We booked a year ago our Ruby Wedding Anniversary for the Kitchen club on Sat 28th September. Two weeks before, as I haven't heard from anyone, I was emailing asking to pay the balance and order food but had no reply. I telephoned and was told we weren’t booked in to the kitchen club function room but was down for Sunday 29th Sept. This is so strange because we had emails to confirm it was all booked up. I was offered the upstairs room which is much too small for 80 people, most of them being our age 62/63 respectively all needing seats and room to dance. That rooms get too hot as I’ve been to functions there previously. We only had two weeks to try and find another venue for 80 people plus food. I was given a bottle of Prosecco as an apology. It’s absolutely disgusting I was in A & E for my heart because of all the stress. I posted on our local SOBO site on Facebook asking for another venue explaining what happened. The Cliff House Hotel came to the rescue, thank goodness and kindly gave us more choice of food and extra items for the buffet as I was in tears. We had family and friends staying st the village. They had to get taxis to the hotel which they hadn’t accounted for. Can you imagine if this was booked for our wedding? It’s disgusting !!!

What an amazing place I've visited every few months for a a few years and always appears to have a table free, great food well presented and wooden boards etc. Very cheap prices possibly the best value in Bournemouth. Very clean and calm atmosphere. Staff all polite and smiles. A real hidden Gem... and will be book a large party again there for 50th. :-)

Una visita reciente con mi nieto de 7 años para jugar golf, terminó con nuestro almuerzo en el Kitchen Club Cafe.El lugar contó con la asistencia de una gran variedad de clientes, incluidas madres con niños pequeños y bebés, sin mencionar a otros que acababan de jugar al golf, y el ambiente general era vibrante.Aunque el menú era algo limitado, sin embargo, nuestra comida era excelente, bien preparada y servida por amables asistentes sonrientes que estaban muy atentos.No tengo dudas de que, en nuestra próxima visita para jugar al golf, terminaremos en la cafetería.

Went for a corporate evening event. Great atmosphere. Buffet food. Pay as you go bar. Very helpful and hospitital staff

After a game of crazy golf, four of us had drinks and snacks in the Kitchen Club. Staff were friendly and food was good. Not a big menu, but I was very happy with my bacon sandwich.

This is a great find, great choice, good food. Lovely to sit out & look out over the golf course. The service is very quick. Breakfast is good too.

Rude staff.and milkshakes were terrible.wasnt going to serve me because I didn't have a receipt from playing golf with my son but I wasnt given one.

The food was lovely and ample portions but the tables were filthy and probably had not been cleaned all day.

We had a fantastic day playing Footgolf for a stag do before returning to the kitchen club to watch the football the food and drinks were all good and the staff were attentive Very family friendly too

Sat outside in sun, amazing Dino crazy golf for toddler to walk around in. Just lunch, nice food and drinks. Service terrible (slow, needed reminding, people arriving after us being served before us) but staff friendly. Thinking it's just as it was busy, car park packed and Easter time.

Los tamaños de las porciones son muy generosos, comimos pizzas y una ensalada César y fueron excelentes.Las pizzas son muy buenas, una base encantadora y cocinadas en un horno de pizza cocido correctamente.Los lados eran buenos y las bolas de masa de queso son increíbles.Hubo una fiesta para niños mientras estamos allí y no arruinó nada. El ambiente es bueno y en un buen día se puede ver a muchos ancianos geriátricos probando y jugando al golf. . . muy divertido.

Food and coffee good but I did feel that 5 pounds for a portion of sweet potato fries was a little steep.4 pounds is about the usual.....5 pounds is silly money

Called ahead to ensure that they were still open and serving food, was told that would be open till 6pm tonight. Arrived at 4.50pm to be told that they are no longer serving food. I explained that I had called 20mins earlier to confirm that they were still going to be open and had driven for 20mins to get there and I was then told by the server “I don’t make the rules chef says kitchen is closed so it’s closed” so the six of us had to go else were for dinner. I guess it must be doing so well that they can turn business away like that.

Hubo un poco de cola para hacer su pedido y nos advirtieron que podría ser una espera de 30 minutos. En realidad, la comida llegó después de unos 15 minutos y era de buena calidad y todos disfrutaron de su almuerzo. Tuve una anchoa y alcaparras pizza que era excelente.

it was nice food, is just a shame one of the people that was with us could not eat anything due to having a nut allegery and they were not able to confirm if any of the food had nuts in it or not.

I think it is a real shame that nobody is listening to the comments being made. I wrote a review in August not a glowing one I am afraid to say and still only last week people are still complaining. This place has massive potential why can nobody see that. Staff are literally left to deal with the running of the place no management seems to be on site or if they are they are certainly not letting there presence be known. A fortune has been spent on a new fun golf range right outside the front of the building which should be bringing in a decent revenue for the Kitchen Club but it seems no advertising or meals deals to tempt people in has been done. This place should be buzzing.

Really good job by the chefs. Would definitely return for the food. Service quite poor, understaffed, poorly trained and 'not bothered'.

Visited for lunch - great sandwiches and the restuarant has an authentic pizza oven. Sat outside with pleasant views over the golf course. However struck by how disorganised everything was. Service was slow and the staff had trouble getting my order right. The outside tables looked as if they had never been cleaned and during the two hours I was sat on the outside deck over lunch I didn't see one table being cleared. Consequently a large seagull and various other smaller birds kept swooping down to help themselves to leftovers. It was down to those of us trying to eat in peace to shoo them away. I came away with the impression no one was in charge and the staff were being left to make the best of it.

On visiting this restaurant many times over the year's I have always enjoyed my visit. Staff were always courteous and friendly,good food and nice chilled wine, location excellent,So why on my last visit were the staff looking so demoralised three were on duty on what should have been a really busy time fortunately for them it was very quiet.Outside where I love to sit and look out over the golf course was a mess tables had not been cleared paper napkin's littered the floor it was a shambles.My wine was warm,the food looked good but we decided against ordering. Management need to sort this place out and I hope they do soon.

The Upstairs function room was hired and over 70 people attended. Good views and lovely setting.Very helpful staff. Food was served as hot & cold and was delicious. Feedback from everyone that came to the party was positive. Would certainly book again and recommend

Portions of food are good as is the quality. Service is very slow and they are under staffed. So if you are in a hurry avoid.

Intentó pedir de menú se dijeron que "después de 5 sólo se puede tomar una pizza", registramos ver 5. 01:00 h. "Ni siquiera los niños comida? Mi hija no le gusta la pizza! ", "no", "bueno vamos a otro lugar". El chef ridícula frente a decir que volvería a hacer nuggets de pollo para ella (gracias chef! ). Chico hasta ahora claramente incluso menos feliz! Ordenados zumo de naranja. . . . medio vaso derramado "he acabado tendrá que tienen de reponer con limonada"

Vine aquí para tomar el almuerzo y el té. El tocino sándwich era muy bonito, aunque sirve en uno de las tablas de cortar de madera que siempre me preocupa cómo pueden realmente limpio. Estaban extrañamente reacio a dar salsas y vinagre para las patatas fritas no. También las bebidas tomó años venga y el lugar estaba muy vacío en el tiempo.

Went to visit family in Bournemouth and came across this little gem. Staff so friendly and helpful and great food - the homemade pizzas are delicious - and the best thing about it they do a great kids menu. so ticked all our boxes and we all left very full and content. Ohh and the prices are really reasonable so doesn't break the bank

Next to Ilford golf course and the driving range and crazy golf and American Golf so plenty to combine with a meal. The childrens portions are reasonable and well priced and the adult pizzas are large and tasty.

After 18 holes in heavy rain I was more than pleased to get back to the car park and drop off my clubs and make my way to The Kitchen Club Restaurant for a well deserved pint or two and a Pizza - Little did I know that I had been set up as family and friends were waiting as a birthday surprise - There were 14 of us in total ordering a range of different meals off the menu - All were served piping hot and fresh and arrived very quickly and together - Staff were attentive throughout and all meals excellent - My wife who arranged my surprise settled the bill and for the amount of food and drink ordered the total was more than reasonable - She left a well received and deserved tip and I will certainly return.

Very disappointing visit last Sunday 22nd October for breakfast . The staff had no enthusiasm and gave the attitude that they couldn't be bothered . There was not a relaxing or welcoming atmosphere . Only one member of staff knew the answers to our queries . I ordered toast which was thin sliced value bread , no strawberry or raspberry jam, , the place has certainly deteriorated since we last visited and we won't rush back .

that was a very enjoyable evening - played on the driving range first followed by a lovely pizza and chips. will be back again.

Have eaten at the restaurant a few times and the food is always very tasting and the service is also brilliant even during busy times.

Had a tough round of golf, challenging weather conditions (my excuse!). Came back to have a pint and a bite to eat. Cold beer, fantastic pizza and great service. Couldn't ask for more! Definitely recommend.

We were a family of 5 adults and 2 under fives. Selection on the menu was very good, excellent service and very good food (especially the pizzas). Staff were very helpful and friendly. Pleasure to eat and relax.
