Blanche and her team could not have been more helpful for our walking group of 16. Because of the numbers we had arranged in advance so that they knew the dishes we were ordering. To our delight they all arrived swiftly and deliciously soon after we rested our weary legs at the outdoor tables in this glorious location. One of Dorset's best cafes in one of its loveliest rural spots. The Dorset Wildlife Trust staff on hand were knowledgeable and friendly too. Long may Kingcombe thrive.

We hoped for reasonable food and we got fantastic, delicious food, great service and a wonderful friendly atmosphere. The smoked cheese rarebit was a taste sensation and the warm Dorset apple cake was sublime. Cannot recommend this enough - if you are in the area, do yourself a favour & pop in.

Warm welcome, friendly service and great food. The goats cheese and roasted veg warm salad from the specials board was excellent as well as the very tasty macaroni cheese.

Delicious food at this venue. Set in a lovely village location. We had a top class Christmas meal here with excellent friendly service. I've eaten there a few times and there's a lovely atmosphere with customers chatting amongst themselves. Highlights on previous visits include a creamy mushroom crepe and a delicious Dorset cheese rarebit. Strongly recommend.

We had lunch three times during our stay in Dorset at Kingcombe. The cafe itself is set within the nature reserve and visitor centre. They do a fantastic range of home made sandwiches, salads and light bites including amazing ploughman’s and homitee pie. They also have a great range of locally sourced or homemade cakes. The setting is fabulous and the staff are lovely. We can’t wait to visit again.

This little cafe stands out from its competitors with lovely fresh food, beautifully presented and at a good price. We return whenever we are in Lyme Regis

The waitress was really polite and efficient and coped well when somebody is front of me, an impatient and perhaps a little rude customer was speaking. I was impressed. The hot chocolate was good. I went there to meet with a tutor and, although there was a friendly buzz of chatter and sounds, it was quiet enough for me to be able to listen to the tutor. Thank you.

We had a lovely lunch there. The decor is pretty the service friendly and the food very tasty. The drinks however were very expensive. £4.50 for a pot of tea and £4 for a coffee! The coffee was quite weak, which was a shame.

Village run shop/cafe. Has all the basics and a lot more besides, a small gift area, local artists paintings, Saturday morning egg and bacon baps, quality seasonal local produce. A very friendly atmosphere like the village shops of 50 or so years ago. Well worth a visit!
