My wife and I enjoyed lunch in the bar at the golf club on Friday 23rd Feb. The beef cheese and bacon burgers were delicious and the service was very good.

We visited when we had a night at the lodge, we had breakfast and evening meal, we eat out often and can say the kitchen has set the bar for how dining out should be done!.. the food was simply amazing, if I lived closer it would definitely be my go to place, I can't fault the staff, so helpful and friendly, we had some lovely chats with Ranj, who's knowledge of the area helped us on where to visit.... If you're looking to eat out when in the area you won't be disappointed if you visit the kitchen at Feldon.

Went for dinner - stayed at Greenhill Farm Barn (next door ish - look it up) “The Kitchen” at this Golf Club is a little corporate in feel, staff super lovely, food was really lovely (Chicken risotto was great) my friends not totally overwhelmed with steak however all was great value, desserts lovely. Many many couples. Half full on Friday evening. 10% off at the Gin Distillery if you stay here, but do try Greenhill Farm Barn. ☺️

This restaurant is set in a smart new building with a stunning view over the golf course and friends had recommended coming here for a meal. The menu looked inviting with some interesting, albeit limited, dishes. They were the positives. Disappointingly, the quality of the food did match our expectations. All four of us thought the starters of steak tartare and potted pork, the mains of sea trout and chicken breast and the dessert of pistachio financier were all incredibly bland bordering on tasteless. For instance the steak tartare supposedly came with wasabi mayonnaise but no wasabi could be tasted. Having said that, those of us who had the ice cream dessert, thought it was very nice. Service was also very slow and not very attentive despite a hefty 12.5% service charge being added to the bill. If we were to go again, I would stick to burgers or battered fish with chips and not risk the more intricate menu options. In summary a great place for dinner but sadly let down by its food quality and service.

Nice location. But the food left much ti be desired. The steak tartare was under-seasoned. I had a main where the sea trout was oily and the potatoes were also oily and under-seasoned. The dessert was a pistachio financier, which sounded lovely but was stodgy and didn’t have a lavender taste to it as described on the menu. Service was also incredibly slow and they charge 12.5% for it. I won’t be rushing back.

We booked a table online which was easy, when we arrived we were very impressed by the obvious huge investment that had been made, we did feel somewhat rather dressed down as we had been on a road trip. However a wonderful lady called Meg I think put us at total ease and truly welcomed us. She sat us in a perfect window table overlooking the golf course. Meg really looked after us and needs recognising as a great ambassador for The Kitchen. Our food was lovely and in my mind for the quality of location and food was very reasonable price. Thanks Meg

We live nearby and held a significant birthday celebration at Feldon Valley for 19 of us last night. Martina did a fantastic job organising every detail with me beforehand and on the night and the staff were really professional and welcoming. The food was excellent, the venue is smart and has a great atmosphere that made is a great place to celebrate a special occasion - we'll return in the lighter months to take advantage of the stunning views too. Thanks again to all the team.

Although we only live 5 miles away we’d never been here…….so glad we did though and we’ll definitely be back! The food and wine (thoroughly recommend the Malbec!) were delicious, belly pork and fillet steak were cooked to perfection. Morgan looked after us and is a credit to the restaurant, very engaging, superbly efficient and friendly, thank you.

Went today for Sunday lunch and made the mistake of thinking that a Roast dinner would be what you’d expect it to be. ‘Roast Pork’ is actually pulled pork. The ‘roast’ potatoes were deep fat fried potatoes. The Yorkshire pudding was dripping with fat. The ‘roast’ chicken was something resembling Bernard Matthews ‘chicken roll’ with stuffing rolled in for good measure. In addition to this fraud everything tasted oily. No one asked us if we enjoyed our food even when paying the bill. We won’t be going back.

I was a little wary of intruding into a golf course clubhouse for tea and cake after a walk with my small dog. However, after checking beforehand that non members, dogs and walkers were accepted, we were all made very welcome. Obviously, one has to be aware that you are a guest in a club and I certainly would not go there if I was covered in mud with a filthy dog, but the staff and members could not have been nicer or more welcoming. The tea and cake were super as was the view from the balcony. The icing on the cake was that we were served two complimentary dog biscuits in a special little bowl for Daisy. What a great place with super friendly staff.

The service was good and all the group were happy with their food, with the house specials having quite a kick so good if you like spice. The does take a while to be cooked although they did serve a number of takeaway orders but nice not to be rushed and have time to talk.

The negative reviews and the AI summary do not get this place. This is an innovative chef, with a small team delivering an amazing food experience. I'd rate this restaurant along with Five Fields in London and Astrance in Paris - both small restaurants with small, dedicated teams delivering great food. Of course the portions are small - this is a seven course tasting menu. There are about 28 covers, each served each course at about the same time - within a span of 5 - 10 minutes - very efficiently and with a very friendly attitude. At 120 pounds, the menu is reasonably priced. A good wine list, again at reasonable prices. All the people we chatted with were all very positive, and it was a repeat visit for several of them.

Just enjoyed a lovely afternoon lunch with the family. The service was incredible, we were served by Mary who made our experience simply wonderful, she brought a energy and warmth. We would definitely visit again. I would suggest the review character limit be reduced from 200 as that seems a bit of excessive for a review.
