Rude, arrogant and insulting to the extreme. Very poor service and felt very intimidating. The others in the town are far superior

Awful pub, went there on a Sunday lunchtime, only 1 man in there, not sure if barmaid spoke English as she didn't answer me when I ask if a beer was a lager no nice lagers at all only carling, not going there again.1star rating as they don't do zero.

The atmosphere in this pub is awful, very aggressive!! The Landlord being the worse one with his foul mouth, basically if your not male and not in with "The Local Crowd" your not welcome..Although saying that its an awful looking pub anyway very dirty and dated!!

Came for the reopening with the management and fell I love with the place. Its now family run and yhey are so nice they make you feel like you are part of the family. All the customer's are lovely and the prices are amazing. I highly recommend the place.

Lunchtime visit as part of a local promotion. Not the most attractive venue, however, despite sharing the premises with a very late Christmas Party we had no complaints with the service. A wide range of dishes were available to choose from. I went for Garlic Mushrooms, Ostrich and Sticky Toffee Pudding. My wife went for Soup, Steak and Cheesecake. Portions were generous and despite the previous reviewer's comments we found no problems with the way food was cooked. The big test; would we go again if in the area? We would and, as the Christmas Party was from a local firm, they were obviously happy with the Restaurant as well. Worth a try.

Really poor night out, the standard of the food was poor. especially the frozen vegetables which were microwaved to within an inch of their lives. If you are going to eat here I suggest choosing something that has to be cooked fresh, eg steak.

If you don't want to find out until you get home that you've been given a very THIN looking piece of COD, that was meant to be large size, I would highly recommend another 'chippy'. BARELY ANY CHUNKY
