The Kent Fish & Chip Shop in Glasgow City

The best fish and chips I’ve ever had in Glasgow! The burger was also exceptional! Loved the distinctly British vinegar flavour—highly recommended! The owner’s warm and generous hospitality is another reason I keep coming back.

Great little chippy,friendly staff and the food is really good , you can get special offers during the day, it is a clean shop. They recently changed the shop layout by putting it back to its original configuration, recently the quality of the food fell below the normal standard, I got the impression that the staff thought that I was at it, I stayed away from the shop for a few months as a result of this. I was not offered any kind of refund or replacement meal which if this was my chippy I would have seen the customer was satisfied with the way the complaint was dealt with. Paddy who owns this shop seems to have a sense that I was trying to con him for a free meal which was not the case but the offer would have gone along way too keeping me as a customer.

This place was my first proper fish n chips (American here on a business trip) and it was top notch 👌 their salt n vinegar sauce is amazing. They are very friendly too. Literally on my way there now for lunch 😋

Guys I was really saddened at last nights food the cheese sticks was rock hard and half hollow the chips was disgusting black and brown marks all over them I was so hungry after it I had to reorder from a diff place sadly once bitten twice shy this is a old trick when you rack up couple points I’m not in this for the cheap delivery an high handling fees guys sorry for the char but it was wack last night just tooo bad

During my short and unfortunately rainy stay in Glasgow, the least I wanted to do was eat fish and chips. Not only was there delicious food at an absolutely fair price, but the very nice operator also gave us a few sightseeing tips for next time! Thank you! 👍

Came bere to try vegan fish and chips and were not disappointed. They have a lot of vegan options on the menu. We got the "tofish" on chips, really nice. Service is kind, too.

Fritters were stone cold, they also were very thin meaning there was very little potato in them. Wouldn't order again.

This place was so much fun and amazing!We walked in and spoke with Paddy, asking if he made a deep fried Mars Bar. He didn’t have any on hand, but said if we go get one at the store, he would batter it and fry it for us. We really enjoyed talking with Paddy and he made our treat more enjoyable with his kindness and conversation. Highly recommend that you stop in. He said they’re famous for their fish supper!

Really nice fish in a little hole in the wall store. There is only 1 outdoor sitting so... most people order to go. I got the haddock (2) supper. It was plenty for 2 to share. Was super delish.

Can I just say the vegan haggis is delicious. For something made of millet and seeds and God knows what else, this tastes decadent and rich and meaty and completely amazing. The best vegan haggis I've ever eaten.

The absolute best chippy in Glasgow. The owner is the kindest, most friendly man on earth. The chips are fantastic, the food is so good. Great vegan selection, which he is knowledgeable about. Well priced, which is a god-send in these economic days. Must go!!!!!!!!!!

I buy my breakfast most mornings from The Kent Fish and Chip Shop and would highly recommend it. There rolls and link are superb along with the staff and owner. Give it a try.

They never read online order details so don’t expect salt n vinegar if you ask for it. They never answer the phone either.

It's the first time I've had fish and chips and it's really good. The owners of the restaurant are super friendly and give me some recommendations of their menu. It's a great experience not only for the food but also for their friendly service. The fish and chips are very crispy and well seasoned. What's more, this meal is really a lot, so I'm super full by the end of the meal. I can't wait to take my wife here!

The delivery was super disappointing. We placed our order at 18:15, but, didn’t get our order until after 20:00. The delivery person had updated that they had delivered 19:49. They had not and the map showed them not at our address. I had to run around in the rain looking for them. I eventually found someone with the bag, but, think it was actually the people it was delivered to trying to find us. Either way, I was mega frustrated. My daughter was unbelievably hungry, and the food was no longer that warm. Obviously, I don’t want to give 3 stars for the food, I’ve eaten here plenty times before and enjoyed it. But, it was not enjoyable once it was colder.

first time in ordering from here, food was piping hot when delivered and was a treat to eat, no complaints at all. i will certainly be ordering from them again. 5 stars to Kent Fish Bar. also very quick from ordering to delivery.

I am a regular however the last 2 occasions I've had poor service. on this occasion the food wasn't fresh and the piece of fish was rubbish. A shame as up until recently I have found them quite good with good vegan options.

Before we ordered it said 25-45 minutes delivery. When the Order was accepted at 20:55 it gave estimated time of 21:10-21:30, then that got updated, then it didn’t actually arrive until 22:17

The service at this place is so homely, you really are treated like family whenever you enter. Kirsty in particular is always so nice to me when I go there, she remembers my order and always is happy to see me and makes conversation whenever I enter and it makes me look forward to going more. The prices are also very reasonable in this place.

I was a bit nervous because I saw one or two bad reviews, but I can only assume they are toffs. This is what real fish and chips should be like. It was fantastic. Ok, they don't offer line caught monkfish, but if you just want a haddock supper, I couldn't recommend it enough! Good was hot and fresh and delicious.

The best and original fish and chips shop in the area

It was alright. Fish was super thin, almost as much breading as there was fish, and the chips were super stodgy, so I guess for the price the standard didn’t really match. I’ve had better fish and chips for less.

I only received one coke after phoning the restaraunt they assured me they packed 2

Stone cold, part of the order wrong

Chips were cold by the time they arrived. Delivery much later than indicated on first screen of website otherwise I'd have chosen another restaurant. It took over an hour to come from initial order

The restaurant did a great job but JustEat delivery guys took 2 hours to get to the place to collect my order

I bought battered sausages, chips and curry sauce. The food was okay, batter on sausage was a bit soggy, but my main concern was the curry sauce. I watched him make it in front of me with a kettle and microwave, it wasn’t nearly thick enough, once wrapped, I got in my car and as I did boiling curry sauce that was basically water poured out the tray on my leg and the seat.

Decent bag of chips but at 2 and a half quid I think it was a bit steep.. Guy serving looks like he's lost a pound and found a penny though. Needs to lighten up. Update:I just bought a bag of chips in my local chippy and it was £2.75 so maybe they're not as expensive as I thought. Musta been a while since I bought a bag🤷

Had to walk past the first Fish & Chip Shop to get to The Kent Fish & Chip Shop as I had seen this place the last time I stayed here, so when I arrived I ordered a Double Fish Supper from the friendly owner & ow my goodness was I pleased, both of the Fish & the chips were cooked to perfection, really tasty & reasonably priced! So it is a definite place to where I will be returning

Live round the corner and haven't used this chippy in years as went way downhill my partner went in bought large bag of chips £3.80 more the size of a small potion chips where reheats horrible dark brown smelt rotten chips where frozen tried calling the shop and no answer will NEVER use this again or recommend it to anyone not good 😐
