Pedí en Uber Eats y puedo recomendar su comida de todo corazón. Se apreciaron porciones generosas, bellamente cocinadas, algún tipo de extras como galletas de la fortuna y galletas de gambas. Fabuloso. Gracias. No importaba en absoluto que la entrega fuera un poco tarde. Comida caliente bien presentada y bien envasada. El pollo sate era un poco demasiado dulce para mi gusto, pero en realidad probablemente bastante perfecto - soy sensible al azúcar. Este alimento es pesado en proteínas y ligero en carbohidratos. He sido malcriado. Gracias.

He pedido de este encantador restaurante chino un par de veces y cada vez el personal ha sido muy encantador y amable. La comida está recién preparada y tienen algunas buenas opciones vegetarianas también. También es ideal para un saque rápido. No he tenido una mala experiencia aquí nunca.

Forget any negative reviews, this place is the best in Birmingham, you will not be disappointed, so much value for money and extremely hospitable

Exceptional food. Very friendly and helpful staff.

We went for a family dinner, with my parents and sisters. The ambience was good but the service was poor, and extremely rude. Staff made unnecessary delays and blamed colleagues a few times for delays. The food was alright but the service was unacceptable. Will not recommend.

Utterly brilliant. Don’t bother going to one of the ‘upmarket’ Chinese restaurants in Harborne, where you will pay twice as much for pretty standard Chinese food served on a fancy plate. Kangxi delivers truly delicious, fresh and exciting food at a decent price and in an authentic setting. The staff are really pleasant. You will not be disappointed.

We ate in the restaurant for my dad’s birthday (he’s very choosy about his Chinese restaurants) and we couldn’t have chosen a better place! The waitresses were all so so lovely, helpful, kind and friendly. Every single dish was perfect, all 4 of us were delighted with our food, and took away what we couldn’t finish. Very happy this is the restaurant I chose for us to go to, my dad said he’d be in all the time if he lived nearby!

Dined here in May 2024 and very impressed with the food. Had Mongolian Salmon, Sizzling Prawns, and Sichuan Aubergine, plus rice and chilli chips. Food served quickly and well presented, taste was great, and total bill for 2 (including jasmine tea) was only £58. That is China Town pricing but in expensive Harborne. Very impressive, and we will be back for more.

La comida era increíble Cordero mongol y pollo arroz frito muy excelente. El pollo con papas fritas de sal y pimienta también estaban deliciosos. El buffet de almuerzo también es una buena opción para volver de nuevo. Personal amable y buen servicio. La música era agradable y el ambiente es muy amplio.

We have decided to visit this place again tonight after a night out with my partner in tow and my god the foods keeps getting better. We order takeaway regularly but once you dine you will never go anywhere else. Beautiful decor, delicious food, polite and welcoming staff. Will be returning

Were shown to a table and were given a menu. Drinks order taken. Diet coke(arrived flat) and my husband had a water. Another group arrived about 15 min after we did. Eventually a very nice girl came to take our order. However we were told if we wanted starters we’d have to have them served with the main course. The other table were having their order taken at the same time even though we’d arrived at least 15 minutes before them. We didn’t want to this as we were out to have a nice meal and not be rushed. We decided to leave. I explained I wouldn’t be paying for my flat Coke , which I hadn’t drunk and we’d pay for my husband’s glass of water!! £2.50??? Are you kidding me?? I was absolutely furious and disappointed. We were planning on considering this restaurant for a large family gathering soon but I will not be returning and will certainly be warning people about the service. And please don’t tell me you were busy as you definitely were not. I would have thought with all the local businesses clearly struggling since the epidemic you would have been more customer service oriented! Clearly not!! The dark haired European waitress was lovely but the other person wearing a white chef style top was absolutely useless!

Despite making reservations, twice, I and my party were turned away with lame excuses. The owner was only just away but they have a whole lunchtime menu displayed, yet, oh look, you're never open, although the doors are not locked and you have my contact details to advise of any changes to the reservation. Twice!!!!

Venue: oozed class just from the number of large expensive bonsai trees and money trees in the restaurant. I love plants but it only enhanced the feel of the place which had lots of Chinese decor and comfortable seating. Ambience was good with decent Chinese music playing . I like this authenticity. Toilets have scented candles burning which gives you an indication of standards. Food. Lots of flavours and flexible in terms of ordering the starter whilst deciding the main . Always liked Sun Lik lager and enjoyed it here Generous proportions. Most restaurants scrimp on the fried rice. Here it was perfect & flavoursome.

As usual excellence service and very tasty food. Asked if I needed to change anything, spices, heat. Suggested changes and was very helpful. Pleasant surroundings.. Only downside, packet coffee, very sweet. Will being go again.

This was my first experience. The food was very good. Service was also good. We had the sapphire set menu. All the starters were very delicious. I would love to visit the restaurant again.

Ordered from Uber eats set menu and I can honestly say this was the best we’ve had in a very long time, extra tasty all came hot wow! will most definitely be ordering this again.

The place was nearly empty on a Saturday, not a good sign. The waitress was not happy we wanted to choose where we sat despite many empty tables. Another waitress ( student from Hong Kong) was lovely and helpful the whole time. The first one was very abrupt and rude on all contact and seemed as if she was part of the management/ owners. She did not want to let us sample a tiny bit of an open bottle by the glass before we bought a whole bottle until we said we would leave then. The food was poor, like you would find frozen in a cheap supermarket. The bill came to £90 with no enjoyment of the evening, so be warned.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!!!! Where do I start? Chips are always hard. Prawns are undercooked. Customer service from the owner/manager is abysmal. Shocking establishment. Be careful what you order and what you put in your mouth.

Ordered on New Year’s Day evening through Uber and it got cancelled over a hour after we placed it. We rang up and the man on the phone couldn’t do enough for us, tried again to put through Uber and he rang us back this time and the order still didn’t work so he allowed us to order over the phone and he hand delivered it himself within 30mins. The food was delicious as always and the guy was really friendly 👍🏼

Have not visited this place for a few months but this place never disappoints. The food is spot on , the service is excellent. We went for a birthday meal and were looked after like no other. Such a pleasant experience and delighted we chose this restaurant again for a memorable nights.

Had Sunday lunch here twice in the last month. It is an eat what you want Buffet. The food was good on both occasions and, there was no issue with quantity or number of dishes ordered. However they need to determine whether they are open or closed for lunch!! On both occasions we were made to feel we were a major inconvenience rather than a valued customer. There was sweeping and cleaning up going on from the night before. Not what I want when I’m paying for my meal . The waitress was accurate with the dishes but lacked any form of “customer rapport”. I would go back for the food but would think twice due to the poor atmosphere and total lack of welcome.

Was nearly empty on a Friday night, more staff than customers. Spring roll starter was still frozen on the middle, main course was OK but nothing special. Expensive with OKish service. Not sure how they stay in business with only 7 customers on a Friday night?

A really good selection of food and all at affordable prices. I had the crispy duck with plum sauce and that was really delicious; undoubtedly one of the best dishes that I've had in any Chinese restaurant! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone stopping by in the area.

Not sure what's going on with this place. We went last year and had a really great experience. Last night however was not good. The place was totally empty, no atmosphere, far more staff than customers and this was a Friday night in popular Harborne! The food was reasonable until they served up spring rolls that were still almost frozen in the middle! They did offer to cook us some more but by then then evening was spoiled. We won't be returning there in a hurry!

Visited on a Sunday at 1700. Very quiet. Food was quite tasty. Maybe too much veggies in the Lamb stir fry. Had quite a lot of crispy chicken pieces. Service was excellent. Would be great to have a jug of cold water on the table. Maybe even a step by step guide for the use of chopsticks for those who don’t know. The atmosphere was great. A very comfortable and pleasant meal! The toilets were immaculate! We were impressed with the crystal drinking glasses! Thank you so much :)

Went in today for lunch with some colleagues, the food was exceptional and the service was even better. Front of house gentleman was out of this world! Thank you so much we will definitely be back!

We had a lovely dinner here, the wait staff were quick and efficent and the food was amazing and ready very quickly 10/10 would reccomend to anyone in the area.

Best Chinese food in Birmingham without a doubt. Sometimes is difficult to communicate with the staff but the quality and atmosphere compensates. We come here often.

"Hello! I had a wonderful dining experience , located in harborne high street. The food was absolutely delicious. The flavors were authentic, and the ingredients were fresh. I particularly loved the Kung Pao Prawn, which had the perfect balance of spice and savory flavors. The dishes were beautifully presented, and the menu had a wide range of options to choose from. The service was exceptional as well, with the staff being attentive and friendly throughout my visit. The restaurant had a cozy ambiance, and the traditional Chinese music playing in the background added to the overall experience.

My regular take away. We order the Ruby set menu and it's a level above any standard Chinese takeaway/restaurant. Food always fresh and high quality. Only downside is that it is a bit expensive (~£10 a dish), so we only get the set menu when there's a discount code.

I visited on monday night and i had an amazing time. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was everything and more but i wanted to give a massive shoutout to the service especially Carmina. She went above and beyond all night and made sure me and my family was fully catered to, thankyou to the lovely Carmina we will definitely return.

This was our first trip to the Kangxi Imperial and we will be going back. The staff were really helpful to accommodate my mother-in-law's dietary requirements.

We travel to harborne once a month on hospital visits and love to have a meal here ,it's probably the best Chinese restaurant in the country wish it was closer to our home (Congleton Cheshire). Well worth a visit.

Ate at Kangzi Imperial yesterday with my husband. This is a lovely restaurant behind The Junction pub in Harborne and we go there two or three times a year as being retired now we don't get out and about to eat as much as we used to. We have always found the food amazing - tasty, generous food at a very fair price. We didn't book as we expected the place to be pretty quiet - we went at around 7.30pm after a couple of drinks on the High Street just wanting a main course before heading home. When we arrived the place was HEAVING - there was a very large (30+) party in, plus many other tables occupied by couples and small groups. Before accepting a table we asked the waitress whether we would be stuck behind the large group, but she assured us that the chef would cook our meal as soon as he received our order. She didn't let us down - we were immediately offered drinks and our food followed at the speed it would had we been the only people in the restaurant. And it was of the same amazing quality that it always is. The noodles, beansprouts and spring onions is so tasty that I would happily eat a bowl of this and nothing else for my lunch. The special belly pork dish is spicy and delicious and the sticky beef with peppers and onions superb. And a very well priced Malbec completed our meal. I highly recommend this restaurant - always so friendly and welcoming and eager to please. Long may it remain a feature of a rapidly growing Harborne dining scene.

Ordered on uber eats and honestly the best Chinese takeaway I've had in a long time! Got sweet and sour veggie chicken, Singapore noodles, satay chicken, fried rice, spring rolls, salt and pepper chips and curry sauce and each part was delicious. Cannot rate highly enough, will order againnnnnn😍

We were recommended by our colleagues to who visit this restaurant on a regular basis and I see the reason why, authentic decor, nice and clean restaurant, great atmosphere, delicious and reasonably priced food plus super friendly and polite staff. We will be visiting more often now.

Food was ok but not great but difficulty with their WIFI so payment couldn’t go through. Manager came over with card reader no apology tried again and this time payment went through as he’d fixed WIFi again no apology and you could tell through his manner that he thought we couldn’t pay. Very disgusting behaviour. Really wouldn’t go again.

Very pleasant but utterly clueless waitresses to the point it was funny. One was happy to tell us how good one particular beer was whilst having never heard of cider! It also came as a bit of a shock to several of them to find out red and white wines are not the same. They’ve obviously been taught just to take the number from the menu. A bit more training might prove useful as they behaved like deer caught in headlights when asked a question. As for the food - bang average. Had been once before and thought it was quite good but not this time.

The Kangxi Imperial is one of my favourite Chinese restaurants. The meals are well presented, they come hot always and they are tasty. I have never been disappointed! Been ordering for years and I absolutely love it.

Had delivery service firstly the order was missing chilli oil after I asked for it then they forgot my bottle of coke. Driver came back with small glass bottle of coke. I’m sure I paid for a big bottle. Order was £43.10 not woth it at all and then the driver had cheek to ask for a tip

Ordered on-line confirmed order gave us an ET 2 hours 30 minutes phoned up after hour and 30 order did not exists tried ordering over phone was passed between 3 and left hanging for 10 minutes. WHAT A COMPLETE DISASTER RUINED OUR ENTIRE SUNDAY EVENING DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS PLACE TERRIBLE!!!!

A very distasteful experience at kangxi imperial 2 weeks ago. The waiter continuing to make inappropriate comments on my spouse while attempting to speak to our child, comparing both of us. It continued to the point where we walked out paying the bill. We will never return. Not even for a take away there.

Such a local gem. Beautiful decor , spacious and Sunny the Manager is a great asset. His service and attention to small detail including if we wanted a 10 minute break between the courses was just great. The Seabass in ginger and spring onion was not only delicious but of sumptuous portion in a beautiful dish. Can’t wait to take more friends and support a local business.

My favourite restaurant the food is exceptional and the service is always top notch. This is my second time eating at the restaurant and it won’t be my last. This time around it was better than ever as they had a lunch menu buffet for £12.99 & the food portions were enough to fill me up for the rest of the day.

We regularly takeaway from here. Food is delicious and quality never varies. Staff is very polite and welcoming. Definitely recommended.

Decided to order from Kangxi Imperial today flavours are lovely meaty spare ribs were beautiful however, the chicken in red wine sauce and chicken satay was full of fat. I find that off putting and could not eat my meal.
