Sakura is a very popular Japanese cuisine here , they serve loads of choices , portion is big! The only thing is waiting time is long in lunch hour , but you won’t be disappointed with the quality of food .

Vietnamese Pho place was good! Friend wanted Biang Biang noodles, we waited for ages for the chef to turn up but he just didn't - would have been nice for him to leave a sign on the stall to say he wasn't going to be open.

Come here quite a lot, usually great! But the Japanese restaurant (Sakura, i think) stood waiting for 3 mins, they looked at me and just put a 'closed' sign up, not even a sorry or explanation! she walked away with a grin! The staff at reception were nice, so thats cool with me.

My first choice when the group can't decide what to eat. Lots of choice with good portions for a very reasonable price

Great food quality and price! Strongly recommend

Not sure if owners have changed but the last two times visiting bobabao bistro the bao buns have been disappointing with hardly any filling and have also had to wait over 25 minutes. The pork bao buns had left over bacon pieces in rather than pork belly. Had previously really enjoyed the bao buns from there but will not be ordering again.

It seems that the information of each restaurant has not been updated. Some restaurants no longer exist or have been moved. The products of some restaurants are getting worse and worse.

I do not recommend the first place at the entrance on the second floor, the worst ramen I have ever eaten. Overcooked tasteless pasta, tasteless broth, bland, overall terrible. In addition, the payment system is a total scam!

I often go for lunch and dinner, especially Japanese and Korean food. Always satisfied.

The food here is fantastic, I’ve been twice now, once on my own and once with my wife, we shared a bento box because they’re big, and it was enough by a mile. Yesterday we had the crispy chicken and bbq spare ribs bento, and last week I had the battered chicken and beef one, both superb, and actually worth the money

Without doubt my favourite place for food at this precise moment, it’s the 2nd time I’ve been and it’s absolutely fabulous, I honestly can’t get over it. Both occasions I’ve had a bento box 🍱 I’ve had the crispy chicken and beef no 41, crispy chicken, and bbq spare ribs42. With all other stuff in the bento, they’re huge and gorgeous, I could cry when I’ve finished, it’s huge portions, me and the wife shared the last one, and both come out full to the brim. I only wish I had another stomach so I could attempt another one. THE BEST PLACE IVE EVER EATEN IN BRUM.The end.

Always a good experience when we visit! Food is amazing, fresh sushi and halal korean food! Can order from seceral vendors using a top-up card which is fun and allows you to try several things in one visit. Definitely recommend!

Husband had the soy sauce Korean chicken with rice, coke and I had the pull pork bun. Will definitely come again to try other menus. Great selection of foods and eateries. Perfect for a fussy family with different tastes.

Food ordered from Noodles Tree underwhelming. Assam Laksa, Curry Prawn Noodles, Dried Noodles and Butter Prawn noodles all lacked authentic flavours, gravy was watery, very disappointed.

Asia Asia Food Hall is one of my favorite places to eat in Birmingham! They offer a huge selection of authentic Asian dishes, each bursting with flavor. The vibrant atmosphere and diverse menu make it a fantastic spot to explore different cuisines. Highly recommend for any food lover!

Very love japan food named sakura shop. Large portions and delicious

This is great for a casual night out. The food hall has several independent eateries serving a variety of East Asian food (Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese). Me and my friend went to Sakura. I had the tofu bento box and the Nasu Dengaku (Grilled aubergine in a delicious sauce!) and would highly recommend both.

Have been ordering braised beef and tendons noodle from Bee Thai food every visit since I tried it in Warwick Thai festival 2 years ago(the vendor went there). Great portion size and the quality remained peak. Red bean Ice from皇冠冰室 was lacking, milk was really watered down, not even cold while I ordered the more expensive ”iced” version. Not sweet enough. Not worth the 4.5 quid spent on this

Food was ok it was better last time.

Been here quite a few times now, I do like to space my outings but the Korean Fried Chicken is so good I sometimes end up there twice a week Honey Mayo 🌟 the star of the food court, I had to find out how to make it myself to stop going there so much. Spicy honey flavour is really good too and spicy chicken sizzler all from the Korean food vendor. The ladies are very patient and polite despite it being so busy every time. Recently tried the salmon tofu bento box from Sakura, it's okay Only a couple stores are halal like the Korean food one and even then only the chicken is halal but then again that's all I really go for. Some people seem confused about the card system they have, even I was to begin with but being an asian food court it does make sense. One card is for cash that you're renting for £2 which you'll get back and you load an amount onto it in CASH to spend at the food court. The other card is for card payments only which you buy for £2, non refundable as you get to keep the card and money on there for when you come next. So if it's a one time trial you want, just get the red card to rent for £2 which they'll give you back along with any cash you load onto there, I do that every time I'm there.

For a food hall type vibe, it's fine. Great food. If not familiar, the vendors use a central credit system where you need to charge credit to a customer card. The cards are available on the 1st floor near the elevator. Easy process and kind customer service.

A very comfortable place with multiple food stalls providing Asian cruisine. Thai, Japanesem Vietnamese and Hong Kong style to choose. I like the Sushi.

We came on recommendation from our son. We went around the vendors, and there was only one lady who actually came out to show us what they were selling. We ordered our food, and when we got it, it was lovely. We had to go back downstairs to get a card which put money onto it, to purchase your food. So if you use cash to put on the card, you have to pay an extra £2 like a deposit, which you can get back before you leave. Now, if you use your card to put money on it, you still have to pay the extra £2, but you can't get that back, as they can't refund card payments. So they can take your card payment, but they can't refund it 🤔 They must make so much extra money from this, from the people who never go back.

don’t get me wrong the food is amazing here, but the staff can be so rude in certain stations. it can also get really busy and overwhelming , maybe because the only time i’ve been is on the weekend

The rice of Lamb is very delicious food from Pho Viet Vietnamese Street Food. The taste is very good and the amount is quite enough for man eating.

Not bad, food is fairly satisfying..bit pricey though for the atmosphere, u can get those price from a restaurant on its own, not a shared cramped place..🙄 otherwise not a bad grub when ur hungry😁👍 the Korean and Japanese food are not too bad, portion size ok but not a place that u would always go back✌️

Great range of East Asian food, with a casual atmosphere in this food hall setting.

Always wanted to go and finally got the chance. Lots of really good looking food and the stuff we ate was certainly good. The portions are of a good size. For around ten pound I got one food portion and it was a big meal really. Good value. One caveat is the confusion with the membership card and charging it up with money. But a friend paid for everyone's food so nice and easy. I'll happily return.

A great place to go as a group where everyone can pick and choose what they want to eat. French toast from the Hong Kong cafe upstairs is a must!

I went here for the first time yesterday and I was really impressed. There is a wide range of Asian cuisines on offer (we opted for Korean but there was Vietnamese, Chinese, Cantonese, Japanese, Malaysian, etc). You have to pay £2 to either secure a cash based red card (whatever money you put on it and don't spend you get back in cash at the end) or a debit card based black card (your money stays on the black card until it's spent again). The food we had was delicious, hot and tasted really fresh and there were lots of vegetarian and vegan options (the tofu was delicious). Most mains were £8-10. We got there at about 1pm and it was very busy but we didn't struggle to find a seat. The venue is kept clean and organised and there was a great, busy atmosphere. I can't wait to return when I'm next in Birmingham. Drinks were a bit expensive (£2-£3 for a can) but most of them were imported. There are 2 flights of stairs and a lift.

Sakura - absolutely adore this Japanese place. MASSIVE portion size especially their bento boxes worth two meals easily. Their sushi is great and the salmon sashimi is fresh and super THICK CUT they don’t skimp at all on portions ❤️ definitely recommend. Takeaway is good too. Chao - they do amazing banh mi and bowls, super filling. One of the best banh mi’s I’ve ever had and have been recommending to friends who agree but shame I don’t think they do banh mi’s anymore? Their drinks are great, huge selection and I’m a big fan of their orange lemongrass drink! Really nice deals Other Asia Asia foods are good too - especially the other Vietnamese stall next to sakura, amazing crispy fish sauce chicken wings 🙌 So much great selection thank you Asia Asia!

Fantastic food, one of the best Asian meals I have had. The only thing I would say is watch out for the portions as the are quite large but that said I see it as a positive thing

The first and second floors have food courts with about 15 tables on each floor. You need to buy a prepaid card in advance and top it up before ordering.

Food is amazing, really authentic experience. The only annoying part is the top up card, very inconvenient and to be honest people buy less as they can't be bothered to top up the card.

Really popular with the East Asian community, which is always a good sign of authentic food. Have been countless times, and I can't wait to go back again. The food is always so tasty, and love the different options as I prefer Japanese but my family love the Korean fried chicken

Always has good, well portioned food with decent prices, the variety you can get is amazing I try and get a different thing each time I go. Easy to order and collect food which is a bonus, sometimes it can take quite a while but that's fine. The only issue I have is it's not clear which stores are open when as everytime I've come different stores have been closed. There may well be information somewhere, but it's not obvious. Definitely gets very busy at the weekend especially for dinner, but during the week it's quite a peaceful place to go for lunch. So if you're overwhelmed by people I would suggest a quieter time.

I love this place it’s amazing the food and the affordable prices.I like that fact that you can get food from various places in the establishment. The only thing is make sure you put enough motion the cards used to pay first time cause adding more money can be a hassle later on. The staff are friendly and are willing to help explain to those that have never being before. I went with a friend and every now and then she reminds of this place that’s how much she loved it.

Always amazing food, we went Japanese this time. I had the Teriyaki Steak Don and the other half a Teriyaki Salmon and Beek Bento box. Portions are great value, you won't be disappointed. This is a bit of gem if you like East Asian cuisine, good choices include Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, Chinese and Japanese.

The food is a bit spicy specially the fried rice i ate load of spicy 🌶 and the colour is red and loads chilli flakes so that's why I only ate half of it and I got already little bit runny nose because of the spicy fried rice i ate on Monday with my brother and my niece after we did shopping and i keep drinking water in the bottle and the i only i finished is the soup 🍲 in the small bowl and the service is they give you the timer to get the food

Definitely a great spot for any asian cuisine. Had the jjajangmyeon and beef udon bibim in the korean section which were both very delicious.

Really good food here and lots of choices! You have to top up a little pre pay card which you use at all the restaurants which is a tiny bit of a pain but ok. Especially if you go quite often. Nice and clean.

The noodle soup I had was really similar to the ones I had in Beijing! Friendly staff too. Pretty crowded in the dining hall and you need to prepay onto a card to buy your food but worth it in my opinion.

This is the place to be! Once you get used to their system. The portions are generous! Delicious and tasty!! It's set up on two floors and like a canteen. But, from Sushi to ramen to Korean crispy chicken! It's is a delight. Me and and my friends love coming here. Again and again...

When I came here a year ago I wasn’t too impressed but we tried again and it was amazing. We mostly ate from Shan Seventeen and it was extremely delicious. The noodles are hand stretched on the spot by the chef. The biang biang noodles with beef or veggies are heavenly. The pulled pork Chinese burger was also amazing and very juicy. The pastry is so flaky and delicious. We came here for lunch and came back for dinner after running chores in the city centre. We also tried jjajangmyeon from the Korean stand but it was pretty disappointing. Just go to the first floor and have Shan Seventeen. 😁

There's a wide range of food to choose from which is great, the food is ok so far from the amount of times I've been and tried different dishes each time. I would recommend the pork bone broth hand cut noodles from the first floor it ls one of the best, their korean food is ok just a lack of flavour in their kimchi jiggae. This place is mainly cash only how ever there is an ATM next to the counter and you can withdraw the amount you haven't used in your from the top up card at the end.

Incredible experience every time. Food is delicious, varied and the staff helpful. Service is also very fast and we’ve never had to wait long. Though I was initially sceptical of the card payment system, it has grown on me.

One of the best places to eat in Birmingham. There's a wide selection of restaurants with affordable prices and pretty quick service. The food is always good and filling. Have only tried a few dishes so far but will definitely go back for more.

The Japanese place on the second floor was amazing. We had sushi and a bento box. Yum! The only weird thing was paying for it (you need to buy a prepaid card). And the atmosphere of a street market where you get brushed against by people passing by especially as it gets busy is not for everyone.

A bit packed, noisy and messy indeed. Can order only with their own stored value card. Food quality is ok though.

If you pay for a top up card with a card then they won't refund the balance and the two pound deposit, but cash will. So basically, you can only use cash. I tried the Bee thai food and it was not a wise choice. The pad thai was neither authentic nor tasty, it was not even as authentic as the pad thai from the Vietnamese restaurant.And here actually used glass noodles. The beef was very old and stinky. The overall portion was small and charged £10.95. I may come back to foodhall but never to this stall.

The food is great and delicious, the vietnamese boy staff at the reception is very nice and attentive. I like the atmosphere of this place, I definitely will visit again.

Not a place for a vegan person or someone on a plant based diet. Raw meat everywhere. Knowledge of staff preparing a suitable dish for such a diet is nill.

My boyfriend and I ordered two bento boxes from Asia Asia Food Hall, one with teriyaki chicken and salmon and one with salmon and beef. The quality and quantity of the food was amazing, not only did it come with the bento itself but it came with a side portion of rice and also a bowl of tofu and seaweed miso soup. I would say it was quite pricey for what it was but we had a voucher for the delivery service. I did really enjoy the food and would probably order again as a treat!

Fab selection of East Asian cuisines, menus in English as well as each stand's native language. Load cash onto one of their cards on the first floor then order by tapping the card at the counter of your choice. You'll be given a restaurant beeper to let you know your food is ready. Drinks are bought next to the card reloading kiosk, and seating is cafeteria style. Incredible food and a fun experience trying all sorts of cuisines.

Good portion size. Lots of food options and multiple Asian cuisines to choose from such as Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean and Japanese. We had Korean fried chicken from one of the Japanese resteraunt and tofu japchae. Both gave good portion sizes as seen by the photo and both were very tasty. Good prices too. Would highly recommend visiting here and we plan on returning another day.

Honestly the best food you could ever get and its so cheap too. Love the bibimbap and the tteokbokki and the ramen and bimbap. I'm in loveeee and the kimchi at the korean food omg its devine!!!

Updated on 09/11/2023 Very bad quality, simply forget it. ============= Golden Bar, 2nd floor A nice Hong Kong restaurant The Hong Kong style milk tea and lemon tea are almost 100% taste like HK, the Singapore curry fried rice noodle is tasty. Do not hesitate to try their signature set if you miss the taste of delicious Hong Kong food 😋 The people in Golden Bar are nice and speak fluent English and Cantonese. We visited twice in a month, definitely will visit again. Please be reminded to buy a debit card with cash at ground floor and top up before buying food, each stall does not accept cash, must be paid in Asia Asia debit card. If you bought the card by cash, you can take back the £2 deposit immediately when you return the card; if you paid by card, the deposit should credit to your card later.

Came before a night at the glee club, good quick service. Once we had decided what we wanted we got our top up card and ordered our food. Excellent prices and big portions. We had king prawns and honey ribs from the Japanese place. Then had two different chicken and rice dishes, very tasty, they were huge! We took most of it home. Will return in future to try more dishes.

Buy a top up payment card, then choose your food from a number of different Street food type booths over two floors. We chose Japanese, the Vietnamese, Thai, Korean, etc looked equally tempting. Cracking little food hall.

Been this place many time, very good pho, also good sushi as very good price for the amount of food, but the system can be updated, things like have an app to order from rather than using the card.

My 5 star is for the vietnam and japanese sushi on the 1st floor...best sushi 10/10. Pepper beef from vietnam was lovely also. Fresh watermelon juice on 2nd floor is lovely...... But....stay well away from thia bee! ...pre covid this was great ....now its dangerous...and i would not be surprised if they are using msg in the food. They need shutting down asap .

Never disappoint, it's my go too spot

Placed an £80 Deliveroo order at 6:30PM on a Wednesday night, expecting 40 minutes wait. By 7:30PM the food had still not been dispatched. Contacted the restaurant who told me it would be at least another 30-60 minutes because “We got busy so don’t have time for delivery orders”. Poor attitude from staff, no remorse or apologies, pretty much just told us to get stuffed and contact Deliveroo to cancel. Will not order again.

There are a lot of choices. The place have their own card that you have to obtain and top up with money. You can top up using card(if you know the exact amount that you will be spending) or cash. There is a free atm machine just beside the till. The staff was very helpful especially since I was a first-timer. There was korean, japanese, vietnamese and chinese food on the 1st floor. We didn't get the chance to look at the 2nd floor anymore but there was milk tea on that floor. The teokkbokki was so soft and nice. The unadon also came wirh miso souo and kimchi. The chicken was also nice and crispy. It was also very affordable. Would definitely recommend.

Ate at Sakura this time, the ramen was incredible 😇 Also had a passion fruit ice tea from the booth upstairs which was freshly made with fruit 😍 Only issue is that you need to pay a deposit in a card and once you put any money on the card using your debit, it's on there forever. So just be mindful of exactly how much you plan to spend. Will be returning asap!

I’ve been here few times, thế another food store is okie except Bee Thai food. Foods are not just bad but terrible. First time here and we’ll definitely be going back. Easy access (has a lift if you need it) and a unique experience. We tried the Korean and the Vietnamese this time around and weren’t disappointed. The spiced honey chicken was outstanding! The use of a pay as you go card is a great idea and any money left over just means you have to come back… which we will. Less than a 10 minute walk from New Street station. Highly recommend.
